I have worked on 2 ls swaps that you have done. You are hurting our industry by taking advantage of good hard working people. Take some pride in your work please so I can focus on building nice things instead of cleaning up your messes. Buyer Beware!!PSA... before anyone takes their truck, car, go kart, scooter or anything else to Mike Horn at Mike’s Performance in Everett please come and look at what you’ll get for your money.Long story short, I was told 1.5-2 weeks for the swap to be completed. At week number 7 I finally went and got my truck back while being today it was all good to go. To say the least I was shocked by the quality of work. I was given every excuse under the sun as to why it was taking so long, I had to source several parts for them to move the project along as well as tell them how to do certain things. The craftsmanship (if you call it that) is absolutely horrendous. I’ve tried several times to come to a solution with him on this but the only option he has given is for me to allow him to fix it. While I would normally be ok with that, and I did take a day out of my vacation that was supposed to be spent with my family after my daughter got married last weekend but I was once again blown off, I’m not ok with it. After really looking at the quality of everything they did, I simply don’t want him anywhere near my vehicles again. Unfortunately we were unable to come to a solution personally so this is on its way to the courts. However in the mean time I thought I should allow everyone to see the work that he is so quick to defend. In all my attempts to come to a solution, he can only talk about the fact that his work has to be worth something. I’ve tried to explain to him that his work is worth something, same as the damage he has done and the unfinished work. He doesn’t see any value in any of that and has only offered to fix what I want but only on his terms. When we negotiated a day for him to come fix the first round of problems I had found, (Monday) he shot me a message at 1 in the afternoon and said he had to go to his shop still and build a crossmember and then he would hit me up. Mind you I live 1.5 hours MINIMUM away from his shop in traffic. I told him it would be at least 5 o’clock by the time he would arrive and I wasn’t going to wait around all night for him to get done so I could put my other cars away (didn’t want him working around them) as I had to work the next day. Since then I’ve been blown off and ignored with only an offer to fix it if I bring it to him now. I’ve wasted a total of 8 weeks on this guy to get my truck ruined by him. I’m sure I’ll have a few more days in court and then hopefully it’ll be over. It’s sad when a plumber can build nicer cars than a “professional car builder” at a shop. I have hundreds of screen shots and several videos for anyone interested- I’ll post a few pictures of the sketchy stuff. If you’re thinking about taking your truck to his shop, please come see my truck first. A quick list of things that are sketchy...The harness was put together with butt connectors and not shrink wrapped or soldered.Fan wiring was twisted together and electrical taped into the harness.The engine crossmember was butchered with a torch to make the motor fit.Shift module is just hanging on the trans- trans doesn’t shift on its own.Power steering hose was welded together and stripped- and leaks.They dropped my hood and put a huge dent in it and broke the hood ornament.Ebrake cable from the pedal was cut- unable to reconnect without installing a new pedal assembly/cable.Bundle of wires in the frame was hacked and popped the fuses and just left.Radio and dash completely disassembled to install new gauge cluster- wiring is a mess to the new cluster.Interior dash is still disassembled and strewn about.Gauges were never calibrated or set up.All wiring under the hood is haphazardly strewn about.The entire truck is covered in greasy finger prints from the core support to the tail gate.They disassembled the core support and grill to make it easier to get to the motor to work on it... most of the bolts are missing and several of the headlight retainers are broken....Again Buyer Beware!!

I was a employee for one week...I didnt get paid...made a car deal for what was owed....sold one with some other dudes name (with a bricked ECU)...and the other never received a title that was promised...he was also supposed to cover shipping of one and failed to... anyways get it in writing his word means nothing....on top of it all his craftsmanship is horrible...goto a better fabricator if you want a ls swap... Gave plenty of opportunities to allow him to rectify...

Mike’s in Fort Pierce was suggested to me by a major auto parts retailer. I went in unscheduled for an oil change in my Mercedes .I was immediately taken care .They did the oil change and also noticed a headlight out. That was fixed as well at a very reasonable price.They are not Tech’s but true Mechanics. Super knowledgeable and fair.Terry Tkachuk

Ross pretty much described my experience perfectly. Worst experience of my life. Avoid this place at all cost! Even if you know nothing about building motors or working on cars youll know that your not getting your moneys worth. He will lie to your face and not give you what you pay for. STAY AWAY!!!!

The absolute worst experience if my life. I dropped my vehicle off to have the motor rebuilt and he promised 1.5 week turn around. After 1 week I showed up and the motor sits on the ground untouched. He had his guys frantically pulling it apart so I wouldn’t cancel the job and promised 1 more week till completion. I said ok and, at 1 more week after receiving no contact, showed up for my completed vehicle yet he still hadn’t picked up the block from the machine shop. I voiced my concerns and told him I was very uncomfortable at this point wether or not there would be quality work done. He had many excuses and yet again promised one more week and I’d have it back. These events kept happening and at the 5 weeks I asked for a written contract stating a date of completion with liquidated damages of $500 per day if not done. He agreed and then shut his phone off for the next 4 days so I could not contact him reminding of the contract he agreed to yet never wrote or sent to my email. At 6 weeks the motor was still not picked up from the machine shop so I sent a tow truck after my vehicle and 5 trips later got most of my parts back. I’m now into it for $400 alone in replacing parts that were not returned or the wrong parts. He agreed to refund me 1/2 of my deposits of $3000.00 and acted as if he was taking it in the shorts.I strongly urge you to find another shop somewhere else even if it means calling a tow truck and paying more for the tow. Trust me, you’ll be money ahead and save your sanity

Worst experience Ive ever had a shop- They are basically there to see how long you will hold out before you give up on their excuses and just pull your car out of their shop. I had to sue them and got a judgement after Mike came clean about doing everything that they did, incorrectly. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Its been over 4 weeks waiting for them to get me the rest of the parts they sold me. Keep telling me there going to ship them and they dont. Already paid in full, now they wont return phone calls either. Stay away not even sure how they are still in business. Update now I was told I can not return the parts either because they have spent the money and dont have enough to pay for the return. Again stay away

Sir mike stayed open late to replace a trannsission plus more for me when I needed the help. I literally towed the car to his shop at midnight during the week, and mike RnR’d a transmission in about an hour and a half with a cast on one hand. If that’s not customer service and beyond, I don’t know what else is. I had no issues afterwards and he gave me a great deal. Hands down the only individual I would ever call for jobs I can’t do on my own.

Mike is amazing he is the only one i trust to work on my cars. He is very honest and speaking as a woman thats important because to many shops see a single mom and think they can scam them. Mike does not do that he tells me up front what the problem is and theb quotes a price his prices are very fair. He knows my situation income wise and he has even been able to work with me on payments if i need to. I try not to need to but life happena and he is very understanding of that. He really knows what he is doing i would recommend his shop to everyone.

A few weeks ago I took my 05 chrysler 300 into Mikes to have an oil leak fixed. I was told by another shop that held the warranty on my engine it was an oil pan gasket. I had an appointment with this other shop and they started jerking me around. Long story short I ran into Mike and he took me in with only a few days notice and well it wasnt the oil pan gasket it was a whole dif problem. Now I dont have an oil leak and Mike has a new life long customer. To anyone that needs work done on their car all I say is TAKE IT TO MIKES
