Steer clear of this rug company. I asked them to make an appointment to tighten a basement rug. Peter said we are busy, but I will call you. No call no follow up. It has been months and nothing. Steer clear.

This review is long overdue. I purchased flooring to replaced flooring I absolutely despised. Peter was professional, helpful and accommodating. I love my oak flooring and every time I walk into my bedroom and my closet, I am happy and content. I will definitely purchase from Central again.

I am so pleased with the service I received to help repair my house after some water damage. A foundation crack and a big rain resulted in sopping wet carpet in our finished basement. Central was able to come in and install pad where it had been remove, re-stretch the carpet that was saved, and sanitize/clean it. Thanks to them we can use our basement again!Their pricing was very fair, scheduling was easy, and I liked that I was able to send them pictures via email so they could generate a bid without a visit, and they sent me the bid via email.I would definitely recommend Central!

Replacing the entire first floor of our home was a huge project that required a very organized process. The residential installers Julian and Liviu took the time and care to make sure we understood all the details of the job. If we had a concern they addressed it.They were truly a pleasure to have in our home. They were on time, professional and practiced safe distancing with masks the entire time.During a time when anxiety is prevalent and the new norm is just being implemented, we cannot tell you how important the customer experience needs to be. Your team stepped up in every way. We couldnt be happier with the beautiful instant transformation of our home. New flooring throughout has brought new life to our furnishings and decor and will be a great asset for resale in the future.

My wife and looked for a small amount (200 sqr. ft) for our kitchen rehab project.We wanted Kahrs flooring, and we were pointed out to Central Rug and Floors here in Evanston.Our sales person was Peter Barnett who was very candid, professional, and did not try to sell us anything we did not need!We ended up buying the floors that we wanted, at a good price (we researched...) and with a good service.I was thinking about it later - I am sure that Peter had bigger sales in his career, however he treated us as if we are buying for a 10,000 sqr ft mansion.If you are in the market for tiles, floors or alike - pay this local store a visit.

I had the most AWFUL experience that one can imagine!! I made a purchase of a 8x10 rug and requested a Saturday delivery which I was told they dont Saturday deliveries. So I settled for a Friday morning where my husband stayed home from work. On Friday instead of the delivery team bringing a rug, they rang the doorbell and said they were there for a pick up! What? I made a call to the business to share what had occurred, they apologized and said an error was made and the carpet was still at their warehouse. They said they could come back later that evening but I told them that no one would be home especially since my husband had taken the beginning of the day off to receive the delivery which did NOT happen! The Manager, Pete said they could bring it the following day, Saturday (which initially I was told they didnt do deliveries on Saturdays). So on Saturday morning, I received a call from the GM, Jerry. According to him, he wanted to understand what had happened the previous day and confirm if my rug was going to be delivered as promised on Saturday. Then a few minutes later, I received a call from the Salesman, Martin who apologized and informed me that the rug was in the warehouse but it was not finished. He said they could make a delivery on Tuesday. You got to be kidding me! I could go on and on but of course I demanded my money back! When I went back to the store with my credit card, you wouldnt believe it but instead of processing a return, the Salesman processed ANOTHER CHARGE! Mistakes after mistakes! Dont do business with them. I went right down the street at Apelian Rug Co and got a better professional experience!

Shout out to Sherwyn, and Javier from Central Rug and Floors for going above, and beyond the call of duty! It was a last minute call, on a Friday afternoon! They accomodated us, a facility for the disabled, knowing it was not going to be neither easy, nor pretty. But they came through as they always do! Call them! They are The Best!
