These guys are just the best. They may be a small little shop, but they do great work. They have been extremely patient when I had a claim that took forever to finish up. They just have the best costumer service, super friendly and always going above and beyond. Prices are fair AND they are open on Sundays. The owner is very professional. Was willing to split the payments and get my car running safely on time. Was cool about my picking the car late, because of the snow. Used the service before, and they did a great job.

For some reason, my car always experiences problems on a Sunday. And besides being open on Sunday, the guys at Main & Crawford are professional and easy to work with. I have had no problems with them.

Quick and inexpensive!

I was visiting my daughter at Northwestern University and my check engine light came on and my Audi wouldnt excellerate. It was a Sunday, so I thought Id have to wait until Monday to have it looked at, but Main & Crawford was open. They were very professional, explained everything thoroughly, and got me back on the road the same day! The price was also very reasonable. This was almost a year ago now and I havent had anymore engine trouble. They fixed it!

The men who run and work at this establishment are anti-maskers.I went to Main & Crawford Auto for a simple oil change and when I went to wait inside not a single soul there was wearing a mask. I have an auto immune disorder and asked if they mind putting them on just while I was there and they refused. When I asked why not, the gentleman responded “Everyone who works here is an adult and can make their own decisions”. I was pretty upset to say the least. Please if you have any sort of health condition do not go here unless you have had a vaccine. The gentleman who was IN my car didn’t even have a mask on.It’s a shame cause I was really looking for a decent mechanic in the area and had high hopes for this one, but if they don’t even care about their customers health and safety then that’s a big NO for me. Good thing mechanics are a dime a dozen around here.

Have been there twice. I like how detailed inspection they do even when you get an oil change. I had my car diagnosed for free.The waiting room however could use heating. It got cold there.

I had an emergency in which they drove me to the only local open tire store, in the owners personal vehicle, drove me back and had me on the road in less than an hour.

Very pleased with the work done by Main & Crawford. They give good explanations of what is needed, finish the work as promised, and pleasant to work with. Pricing is fair and honest. Mike makes sure you understand exactly what is needed and why. Wont hesitate to use them for our regular car service.

I love Mike amd Tino. They are so helpful with fixing my car. Tino is good with Lexus. I trust them with all my car care from oil change to brakes and everything in between.

Ive been taking my cars to Main & Crawford for years. They are a knowledgeable mechanic. They do quality work at reasonable prices. They give good advise without pressuring me into doing what I dont need.

They may have recently moved their location to Evanston but that doesnt change the quality of work or their integrity. My parents recently moved to the area and I referred my folks to Main & Crawford... thats how much we love Main & Crawford! Great overall experience..... The mechanics are very honest and knowledgeable. Just took my wifes vehicle for timing belt and water pump service, their price was fair and reasonable, way less than the Acura dealer was asking for. I highly recommend it to every one.

We have taken our car to Main and Crawford twice now and each time they treated us well and took care of our car in a short period of time. Since they are open on Sundays, they work out great for us at times because our Saturdays get really busy and also for those weekend emergencies you dont anticipate.

Took car in because it failed emissions they did inspection and quoted 1100. Took them 3 weeks to return car. In those 3weeks they just guessed at the problem and still returned the car without it being able to pass emissions and had somehow deactivated my remote started which they didnt know how to fix either. Total repairs where 1900 which was near double quote and returned the car with the same problem I took it in to repair and with no remote start now. Dont trust this people. Your better off fixing your own car even if you know nothing about cars, at least labor will be cheaper and u get the same results.

In 2015, my old Honda Accord started making awful noises around the front tires. I brought the car into the Main & Crawford shop in Evanston to look at it. They tried to convince me I needed new tires to the tune of $600 and that the car was very dangerous to drive with the old tires, being fully aware that I was trading the car in and didnt want to put a dime into it. I drove the car into Warrens Shell in Evanston to have a look at it and they immediately sourced the trouble - my heat shields needed adjustment ($40). Fixed a short time later and confirmed that the tires were still okay. I also highly suspect the Main & Crawford shop installed a used part in my car a year earlier and charged me for a new part. Shameful.
