Took our grandsons Jeep there for major engine work. They were very prompt on getting me a quote parts and labor and price very fair. So we let them do the work. The job was completed in the time frame they told me. When we picked up the Jeep I looked under the hood and was very impressed with the work . Everything was put back in place as it was supposed be and also clean. I would highly recommend South Bay Automotive. I say all this with confidence because I have been a mechanic for 45 yrs, I personally did not have time to do the repairs myself.. I will say the Shop is clean and professional as is the staff.

I have done business wirh them through three generations of the family owners. They are the best. Never a problem.

I took my truck in for some maintenance and while it was there they did body damage to my vehicle by smashing it into there building because there parking lot it too small. They gave me the option of them having it fixed or they would give me the amount it would cost to repair it. I had them repair it. I understand accidents happen and was not upset but they told me I would have it back in a week. Three weeks later I finally called them to find out it was ready. This was after I continued to call them and they gave me a new day it would be ready each time. They were never Courteous enough to call me and let me know the repairs would take longer. I paid full price for the maintenance on my vehicle and I was the one who had to call to find out it was ready.

This is the only place I will have our vehicles serviced or repaired! Super awesome people that work there as well

I always recommend South Bay. As a woman, I never feel like they are trying to rip me off. The lady at the front desk is always helpful, friendly, and professional. If they start digging into your vehicle and see that there is a different issue they always call and tell you first before they start working on it. They have always been up front with their costs, there are no surprises when you pick up your vehicle. It is great to know an honest mechanic shop especially when my husband is out of town. Usually theyre pretty good. Ive had my vehicle in three times for the same thing, each time the price grows, and 3 weeks later quits working again then they say oh well its really this and the same thing happen. Very unsatisfied. Sometimes my heat works. Sometimes it blows cold air only on your feet. Front vents wont work at all. Thanks SouthBay.

Wish I could do a negative here because these people are crooks, my father in law brought his truck in there three different times to get it fixed to the tune of 1600 bucks and never was fixed. Insread of working with him on the bill they demanded payment in full and told him if he didnt pay they were getting the police involved. Well there will be a small claims case about this soon. A terrible way to do business

Don’t go here. These guys used bolts from probably ace hardware right down the road to replace my header bolts. Had to go buy the right bolts and took it back for them to do it again.
