Good selection and awesome variety of small taster bottles. My wife and I enjoy trying out the different types before buying larger bottles of the ones we like, so this was an awesome opportunity for us. Also, they had a hard-to-find liqueur, and it was such a joy to finally locate a bottle of it in San Diego. Will be visiting again. :)

One of my favorite places to stop and find a cool bottle to enjoy. They have an amazing selection of items you cant always find everywhere. Very cool walk-in cooler with lots of options of beers, ciders, etc.! Staff is always super chill and informative. Sometimes they have their very cool sheep dog there to keep you company while you shop!

They went above and beyond to help us find great beer while they were about to close. Massive beer selection and I couldnt fit it all in my luggage. Definitely visiting their online store to have some shipped.

Astonishingly poor customer service by a Jonathan Rivera from Holiday Wine Cellar. Purchased 15 bottles of which one was replaced by a can instead. Shot them an email about the mistake and two options were given. 1) To send back the can and get a full refund. 2) Keep the wrong can at 20% off.Explained that I am unable to send the can back as it has been shipped across the globe to where I live. Took them a couple of days to reply as they were busy digging out information from my social media account, launching personal false accusations without any proof whatsoever. Does it matter what I do with my purchase? Its totally irrelevant to Holiday Wine Cellars mistake.If your customer service personnel is so free, perhaps he should be taking online courses on how to provide better customer service and offering a better solution for a mistake caused by Holiday Wine Cellar.UPDATE: Replies to all negative reviews by HWC just goes to show that they are not remorseful of mistakes made. Warmly greeted when I walked in. They have a great selection of wines & liquors, and lots of them, especially the liquors! They have some good choices of exotics in the beer section as well. Was thanked with a smile (albeit through masks) when I left. They dont stay open real late so get there before dusk. Strongly recommend!

I dont know how were they storing the wines when store was closed for 4 or 5 months. But all the wines I purchased online and picked up at store where bad.Sharp, staled and acidic. And these are wines I had tried before st other places and are great. Great selection indeed, but thats not as important as the quality.

I’ve been coming here for years and have never been disappointed. The selection is excellent and staff has always been polite, knowledgeable, and helpful. The prices are fair and it’s nice to support a long standing local business. You won’t feel ripped off but you’ll also know they’ll be there tomorrow.

This my go to place for barrel aged beers. They have so many kinds in stock. The people are always friendly and willing to help. The drive up service is great. They fill orders really fast from online. They have even special ordered vodka for me at a reasonable price. I miss the days of just browsing my favorite section and picking up something new. I know once tastings open up again Ill be going. Never got around to it before, but now I wont hesitate. Rare spirits are found here. If the they dont have it call/email and they will help.

Hands down the best liquor shop in North county. The staff are all very nice and will help you find whatever you need. My wife has ordered hard to find wines through them and I never have a problem finding new beers or good whiskey. They have a very extensive selection of local beers as well as some more unique ones from all around. Oh, and they also have a tasting room in the cellar that you can buy these sort of debit card things for but I havent actually done that. Looks like a cool idea though

I think if you have never been inside here you might not know how nice this liquor store really is. Very well kept up and nice looking inside. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff always willing to help or leave you to your own. Its called Holiday Wine Cellar for a reason. A spiral staircase will take you down to an underground cellar with more wine and wine tasting. Very quaint and just nice. Last time we were there I priced out an expensive whiskey that I just recently purchased from a Big box retailer and Holiday Wine Cellar was LESS expensive. Dont think their prices are high because they arent. Also has an interesting wine club and gives a 15% discount on your Birthday! Try them out. You wont be sorry.

The absolute premier place to go for all things booze. They have super rare stuff here alongside all the normal things you would expect from a fine spirits store. Best selection I know of. They have tastings and stuff downstairs in the cellar, which is freaking huge. Everyone here is super nice and extremely knowledgeable. They have never steered me wrong with recommendations.

I went in on Christmas eve to get last minute gifts/drinks and was helped by a couple staff members who very very knowledgeable and courteous. One, I believe his name was Nick, even stopped to help us plan out our beer tasting. They also carry Red Stone mead, which is nearly impossible to find in southern California without getting a stale or flat bottle. Kudos to these guys, they are the best best liquor store in north county, hands down.

I absolutely love this place! Its small, yet very well stocked. They have any label of liquor, wine, or beer youd ever want. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Not to mention they have regular events and tastings.

Wonderful selection of beer including micro-brews, wine from inexpensive to spectacular and liquor from the simple to the exotic. Buy a card at the register and go down to the cool cellar to tray a few wines from the wine dispenser. Takes a little getting used to but a great way to try out various wines in peace. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, many have impressive expertise in some areas of their products. Wine clubs are generally not a great idea but theirs is a great way to try a variety of reasonably priced wines. Great single-malt scotch selection. Topped off by fun, educational wine classes on the weekend and various tastings throughout the year.

Expansive selection of beer, wine, liquor, and even a active military/veteran discount on cigarettes! The downstairs wine tasting area is unique and there are some tasty wines to try. Ive been to a few beer tastings there as well and theyre always a lot of fun. The giant liquor sign outside makes this place easy to spot.

Havent ventured into the wine cellar yet, couldnt get past the spirits section. Huge selection of whiskey, rum, and gin. Really wonderful.

This store has the best selection of hard-to-find beers in San Diego. Prices vary, but most seemed reasonable to me. I recommend viewing what they have online before you go to save time.

I used Holiday Wine Cellar to set up the bar at my moms 70th birthday party. Taylor did a great job ordering my kegs, wine, all the cups, set up and ice. They even delivered to the hall. The price was outstanding and the service second to none! I highly recommend!

Walked in between errands on Fathers Day, in a HUGE hurry... looking for a needle-in-a-haystack type craft beer as a pairing with dinner for Dad. Was really nervous I would run out of time and never find it... Upon walking in, FOUR awesome team members there all stopped and looked at me, expectantly. I said literally three words. They knew the exact brand name, every size available, had each size, and had me out the door in approximately 90 seconds. WHOA

I went in looking for a gift for my mother-in-law. I felt overwhelmed when I first walked in. The selection was overwhelming. The girl that worked there, Teresa, was so helpful! I would never have walked into this place based on the name. Wine cellar? I dont drink much wine or know good from bad. Fugheddaboudit. Then my neighbors told me about the amazing selection of beers and liquors they stock, tastings and educational events they host, and the awesome wine club. Ok, so for $30/month you get 2 bottles of wine and 15% off (helps offset the generally high prices) everything you purchase except beer (or for $60/month you get more, fancier wine), and free admission for you and a guest to a monthly wine club social. Not to mention a bunch of other promotional stuff off-and-on. They also do for-charge educational/tasting events and FREE educational/tasting events available to members as well as non-members. You can do self-serve wine tastings or even drink the beers you bought in the tasting room. You can place orders online for pickup, ready in 1hr. The only thing I wish was that they had more small-batch, craft fixers like bitters, etc. Overall, good experience, great selection, friendly helpful staff, chill atmosphere. Gem!

This is my experience buying “online” from this store.I found a bottle of Inglenook Rubicon Cabernet 2009 for $85 which I have being searching for quite some time, normally this wine sell for around $150 and the lowest I was able to get it with some discount coupons was $120.Before placing the order I sent them an email to make sure the wine was the correct one and there was nothing wrong with it, I also had decided to buy 10 bottles to get a 15% discount they were offering. Few hours later I give them a phone call since nobody answered my email, they told me that everything was just right and perfect with the wine, so I place the order online for 10 bottles ($849.90) with shipping to Florida, and I send them another email confirming that I placed the order and insisting if something was wrong with the wine they better cancel the order and don’t send it.3 Days later the wine came and it was a wrong wine, they sent me:10 Inglenook Cabernet 2009 (value at $60-$70)And may order was for:10 Inglenook RUBICON Cabernet 2009 (value at $150)I took photos of everything, the unopened box, all bottles together, the receipt included, a single bottle front and back and I happened to have screenshots of my shopping cart when I place the order.Another thing that I found weird was the lack of UPC on the labels, I have several cellars full of collectible wines, it’s the first time I received a wine without UPC and barcodes. This make me think of a possible case of counterfeit wine, which a few cases has being reported in the current year.So I sent an email to them with detailed information and several photos, I didn’t received any answer either. I can’t imagine an online store unable or unwilling to respond to costumers inquiries via email. But believe it or not this was the case. I have sent them 3 emails and have gotten no answer to any of them.I proceed to give them a call, they already knew about the case and they said to have advertised a wrong wine in error. They only fixing offer was for me to pay the difference to the one I really want, which was around $1000 more!What a nice solution, making more money out of a false advertisement.I will be contacting Inglenook to make sure this is authentic, it turns out to be a counterfeit wine then I will handle this case to the appropriate authorities.I will post a few of the photos I took so everybody verify what I’m talking about.
