This is very nice small Asian Market store. Food items are nicely packed and stored. The store is ver clean. I found everything we needed in this store as in the bigger store. I strongly recommended this place.

The grocery store is average and the prices are higher than stores like Hmart. I generally only go here if I need something very urgently, but the neighboring Vietnamese restaurant is quaint. Reasonable prices and friendly staff.

I go here once a week for exotic snacks and ice cream. Clean floors, neat shelves, staff is friendly if you interact with them. Very fresh meats and produce.

Love this little market. Wish they still had the butcher area. Now everything is already packaged and no customizing. Good selection of Asian products. One item I wish they stocked would be Shokupan bread. I have to go down to San Diego to get good Shokupan, would be nice to get it locally instead. But good little market with the staples.

I’ve shopped here multiple times and it has become my go to for all of my favorite Vietnamese and Japanese cuisine ingredients. The staff are always so friendly and helpful. The store also has quite an extensive vegan “meat” selection to include vegan “jerky”.

Great find. I usually go to marukai on convoy for Asian products that are hard to find. Luckily this is in Escondido where I live. Very friendly attendant. I was looking for jack fruit and they sell it super cheap. The lady it one in half for me and it only cost $5.63 at .77¢ lb....... sprouts sells them occasionally for $67 which is outrageous. Everything in store is very reasonably priced so I will definitely be coming here more often. Definitely come down to this place, they even sell prepared food to go.

Its a little Asian grocery store in Escondido CA and on the side theres a Vietnamese sandwich n pho.. restaurant.. I love to buy this egg noodles from this store. My favorite dry noodles to make chowmein and cold noodles

This place is packed to the gills, but theres a pretty decent selection. Its an odd mixture of Asian with some Hispanic food stuffs thrown in also. Nice looking produce, and a lot of meats both fresh and frozen. Totally happy to have an Asian market in Escondido!

I like coming to this Asian market located in Escondido because they have all the essentials: veggies/herbs, seafood, meats and poultry. Not only that, but the price is very reasonable and the store is SUPER clean/organized. The plaza is located next to TJ tacos, and I would recommend coming here first before driving all the way to San Diego for something you can easily get here.

Great little market. They have a lot of hard to find ingredients and fresh produce. They also have a fairly good selection of plant-based meat like items, such as shrimp etc. Highly recommended

The people working here are nice and maintain the store regularly.Neat selection of snacks, drinks, basic Asian grocery essentials, etc. I can find items here for a lower price than some of the giant shops out in San Diego like H Mart. Its really good for the store size and price. Definitely worth stopping by!

The Asian Market is a wonderful addition to Escondido.Normally, we have to drive down to Kearny Mesa to get our hard to find Asian goods. The Asian Market in Escondido had all kinds of stuff we like to buy. You can find Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, and Indonesian amongst the foods here.There was also a little restaurant next door to get freshly prepared food.

Just recently went here and it was really nice and cool inside. Also can you guys re stock regularly with Faygo Drinks since you guys are the only store I can buy them from? If so thanks because I have to drive here for 40 min to an hour just for a couple drinks so a daily re stock and variety would be helpful.

Good selection of Asian food products and decent selection on fresh meat. Large selection of fish, shellfish and such. I would recommend coming here for ingredients needed in various asian cuisine you may be trying to cook at home.

Nice little market with a good Asian section that has everything you need for the basics plus more. At least from the point of view of sauces and spices and things like that, unless you need something pretty esoteric youre probably going to be able to find it here. Staff is friendly and very helpful.

Clean and good price that I can tell about La Sorpresa Barata/ Asian Market. I like to buy Southern Star Sweet Condensed Creamer here, since the price is very good. Sometimes I buy Planet Coffee here to use on weekend . Will take and post picture next visit. It is my favorite market when I visit my relative

Was disappointing....been looking all over for yummy black garlic now that Trader Joes has not carried it for quite a few years...maybe it ran off with their rare and had to get purple Ube ice cream 😣

Looking for an Asian market that could fill in the gaps between monthly trips to HMart, which is 30+ minutes from home, we stopped by here in search of mostly fresh produce and meat for Korean cooking.Its a small to medium place, absolutely tiny compared to the full-size supermarkets we have become used to, but that wasnt much of a surprise. Their frozen and fresh meat/seafood selection wasnt too bad at all, and produce was a solid B-. They even had an aisle for housewares, plenty of snacks, and a cute eatery (we didnt try it).The selection was obviously going to be limited, but I managed to find most of what I needed. The biggest downside was that I dont think there is a single organic item in the entire place, and we try to eat organic whenever possible. Also, our total bill was quite high for the two small bags we brought home. Not a bad spot, but not a fit for our usual needs.

Love this market, they carry allot of items from all over Asia, Mexico & others.Lots of the freshest vegetables and the prices are so reasonable then the big marketsin San Diego. We used to make a long list to go to San Diego, now we just drop by here anytime sinceits local and dont have to fight the traffic plus the prices are better.The place is clean too, thats a big plus the customer service is the best, the owneralways go out of his way to help you find anything and hes 100% successful!Love, love this place mostly due to the great customer service!!!

I came home to visit my Sister and Brother in law..We stopped in for some quick groceries and supplies. Funny and nice employees, great service. It was a pleasant visit and dinner was AMAZING. I will be visiting this establishment again, for sure.

Go buy the x2 spicy noodles 🍝, so good, could be a little cheaper but it’s so good I don’t mind, this store is small but has a lot of really good hot sauces, better prices than Vallarta Mexican market and much better selection yum, very laid back manager? Cashier was cool, should be trained more in dept but every day you learn something new. Thank you for being so close to my house :)

Lots of Asian staple items including veggies that would only be available here. The market is small but it packs an powerful punch with neatly lined shelves of sauces, spices, canned goods, noodles and treats. Fresh meat counter. Fresh baked French bread to take home. Never had to wait in line to check out from this small market. Ample parking in its lot. Great to have an Asian market locally when San Diego or the OC is too inconvenient on short notice.

Overall a very respectable selection with prices comparable to what you would find in Clairemont. Items are heavily geared towards Vietnamese cuisine, but if you dont mind specified brands there are plenty of Filipino, Thai, Chinese and Japanese exports to satisfy pretty much any menu. Meat and produce is very fresh and there is a large array of frozen seafood. Great place to get pork belly and pork hock bones in particular.

This place deserves 5 stars for what it represents: Having a nice place to get most of your Asian based needs without having to drive to 99 Ranch.That being said, its not 99 Ranch. I was going to give the store a 4 because its not as epic as 99 Ranch. Its meat department is... quaint. A fair bit of their meat department is focused on culturally Latino meat seasonings and cuts. Their produce department was also a little small.A good selection of frozen fish, duck, fish balls and all sorts of Asian delights. Also, a decent selection of noodles, wraps, beverages, sauces, spices, and oils for a store of its size.If it means anything to you, and it should, I see many Asians coming here to shop.

Found this little Asian market while trying to find down some Thai chillies. Most of the staff was Hispanic and had no clue what I was talking about even after showing them a picture. One of the employees grabbed the owner that explained to me that they were in high demand and they only had them frozen. He showed me to their location and was very accommodating. Overall it was great customer service.

Its an interesting half Asian/half Mexican market. Im happy because it has unusual fruits and traditional Asian foods, and that category is unfortunately lacking in the Escondido area. Limited choices, though, since its a smaller shop.

I love this little market! They have a wide variety of South east asian ingredients and a decent Hispanic section. Meat counter is pretty good, theres fresh fish, and everyone who works there has always been friendly and helpful.

Japanese American grew up with so many different things but after Omurs closed have not been able to find until this market opened. They have fresh made sesame balls, flash frozen bbq pork buns and so much more. Its like being a kid again. Great market.

Good variety of Asian items for North county. If you need something they dont have, take a photo of the package and the owner will order it for you! He has saved us many trips to San Diego.

This suits the needs of the community without having to drive to further south. Its small but theres a good selection.
