This is my go-to locally-owned bookstore. I love Werner Books. It has a kind and knowledgeable staff, a refreshingly eclectic collection of new and used books, and a welcoming ambiance. Good prices. Nice staff. Clean and organized shop, not jumbled and musty like some used book stores. They tend to get new stock pretty frequently too so you have a good chance of finding something

A well curated small bookstore that deserves more than just a shout out. If you love books, give them a try. They are worth the trip and the prices are excellent.

My neighborhood independent bookstore where I can always find a good read. If they dont have it, they will order it for you. Also have a good used book/paperback selection. I am so lucky. Open seven days a week!

I am thankful for the Werner Books store. I have been a customer of the store for many years. I feel happy every time I leave the store except the last time I patronized the store on February 25, 2021. The woman (who is not one of the owners) working the counter doesnt have a pleasant customer service demeanor. I found her off-putting and rude. She also didnt give my daughter the 20% off My Pick book title she purchased. Other than the unpleasant encounter with this employee the book store is one of my favorite places to visit in Erie.

Best bookstore in Erie. Period. Owner is super friendly and the used books are at very reasonable prices! I remember a few years ago when I was a poor high school student and I really wanted the Steve Jobs biography. The owner offered the biography at a reduced price if I bought it with another book. Very personable, very friendly, and truly incredible local bookstore.

This is a lovely (and deceptively big) locally owned and operated bookstore. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, and looked at the books we brought to trade while we were browsing. They still took the time to help us find things or answer questions. We will definitely be back, and recommend the store to anyone who loves books and loves to read. Huge selection covering a plethora of topics and genres. Loved it!
