I’ll begin by saying that I have never posted an online review for anyone. However, the service and repairs made at Platinum Auto Body definitely deserve one. We got into a collision during our vacation and we found ourselves six hours from home in Erie, PA, the final destination on our trip. (By the way, Presque Isle State Park is a great place to visit!) I searched online for auto body shops and selected Platinum. Since I’m not from Erie, I had no idea what to expect when I arrived at the shop. Having never needed any auto body work done before, I was really counting on the owner to be honest with me. Needless to say, Platinum got the job. Two days later, we left in a rental car to go home. Leaving our car behind in Erie, six hours from home, was unsettling to say the least. Our insurance company became a huge source of frustration and it took far longer than we or Platinum expected. Eventually we returned to Erie to pick up our car. Eric and his staff did an outstanding job! Eric and his wife maintained dialogue with us throughout the process. The front end of our car looked like new. Eric was very adamant about using only Subaru parts and I appreciated his persistence to get the proper parts. A week after returning home, I took the car to our mechanic for its annual inspection. The mechanic, in business for nearly 50 years and one who pays close attention to detail, wouldn’t have known it was hit if I hadn’t told him. He was very impressed with the work that Eric had done, even pointing out some of the subtle details that Eric had shared with me when we picked up the car from his shop. The mechanic said the paint job was very well done, commented about the paint’s quality, and told me that I wouldn’t have gotten a job done that well in our area. While in Erie, I was wishing we could get the car home to get fixed (and for the convenience of not driving six hours to pick it up). As it turned out, Platinum Auto Body was the best place to take my car!

I was Traveling threw town with my Wife and 2 Year old daughter. I hit a deer while in town. Brought car to Eric and Diane. What a fantastic experience. Diane explained whole process in great detail until my wife and I understood completely. She even arranged a rental car for me and my family to arrive at the shop! The repairs to the car are flawless! Youd be crazy to not have Eric and his team fix your car! Highly Recommend!!!

Very friendly and communication was great very honest and showed on time

They did something no one else in the city would touch! These guys are smart. They put an awning on my eurovan without any hesitation and made sure they did it right. He even fixed a few other things and made my sliding door good as new! So glad I found them!

I hit a deer going down the highway. They were more than accommodating getting my car to the shop. They were super friendly and kept me updated. They let me know if anything outside of the wreck needed repaired. My car came out looking better than it did before the wreck. Definitely reccomend!!!

Diane and Eric are truly great to deal with! I will never deal with anyone else with body work or collision. They keep you informed during the whole process, and Eric is very meticulous about the details and work. I can honestly say you will be happy with the outcome, if not they’re very reasonable and I’m sure will make it right. The most important of all they are both very forthright and honest.

Eric and Diane were great to work with! They kept me informed through the whole process and when they promised to call and update me, they always did! They were reasonably priced and went above and beyond to get my car finished quickly! My car looks and drives like it is new! I highly recommend them!

I recently had my CR-V repaired after being rear-ended. Eric and his staff were friendly and very helpful. Everything was explained in detail, which I appreciated since this was my first experience with collision repairs. My vehicle looks great. This place is very good. I had to have very extensive work done on my car and they did a great job. The mechanic is very knowledgeable and refuses to take short cuts. This is the only place I will take my car now. Highly recommended.

When I sustained minor damage to my Honda Accord, I picked Platinum Auto Body out of the Google listings because it was the closest body shop to my house. I am so delighted with their customer service, the actual work done, and the ultra-reasonable prices. This is exactly the kind of mom-and-pop business that Erie needs to support. I will never go to another body shop again.

They fixed the front bumper of my car at very reasonable price. Took a few extra days than they said to get job done, probably because some used parts need to be found. Didnt ride me back to school as promised, but very decent job of putting back the bumper. Anyways, good work and very nice people. Highly recommend!

Have had more accidents or car issues that I care to remember, Have always had a top notch experience with Eric at Platinum. Eric has a great ability to go above and beyond what the insurance adjusters think they should pay, vs what I actually need to have my vehicle safe and correct. He handles that aspect and makes the process very easy. Great relationship with Enterprise rental cars too!

All I can say is Wow. Eric and his team went above and beyond to fix my Chrysler 300. The shop kept me up to date on the status and repair of my car. I even stopped by the shop the one day. Eric took me in the back to show me what they have done and explained everything to me. I will highly recommend the shop to anyone that is looking for auto body work.Thanks again Eric and the team.

I recently had to have work done on the front of my car. I am very particular about this car and the paint work came out flawless. Very meticulous and professional shop.

This is our 3rd time here,great service and workmanship .just all around good people that you dont find in most places.

What can I say? This is a top-notch Auto Body shop! My car was wrecked twice in the same area, and the first time I brought it to a different Body Shop. Long story short, They screwed up more than they fixed. They glued stuff, failed to fix stuff, and taped things that were supposed to be replaced. They wouldnt help me fix it the way I liked, so eventually, I got the worst things fixed, and left the rest. After the second wreck, I took it to Platinum, And the owner, Eric, Came out personally to give me an estimate. He noticed right away that it had been wrecked before and started listing all the parts that he could tell had been replaced or missing all together, and all the jobs that the last company did wrong. He personally helped me get proof of the bad work, and helped act as a mediator between me and the other garage, since I wasnt getting anywhere on my own. He went out of his way to make sure that I was happy as a customer and that I get the value out of my money that I deserved. Platinum helped me get everything fixed on my car, even what they werent responsible for, and for once, everything lined up perfectly, and looked like a new car again. I had a broken side mirror that needed to fixed, and Eric was very studious in finding a quick replacement for my car with good price despite it being old and hard to find (1999 Subaru Legacy). Part came in a few days later and was put on in about a half hour. Will definitely go back for any future problems!
