What a pleasant surprise! I am still new to this area and it feels fantastic whenever I find a place like this.Cozy and bright place to sit down with a friend and talk over delicious coffee and food.I had the most amazing flat white and broccoli quiche and brochette was absolutely delicious!Friendly staffs and good vibes, coming back 100%
What a gem! Cappuccino was excellent (I am Italian so know waht the original taste like) breakfast was very good too my husband loves vegetables omelets that what he always orders when we are having breakfast outside. He said this was the best veggie omelet he ever had, not salty and a hint of smoky flavor. Pastries are delicious did know what to buy it was hard to choose they all looked good. But most of all the waitress made the whole experience excellent, she paid attention to everyone needs greeted everyone with a smile worked fast and efficient. I thought she was the owner but she said no just making sure everyone has a pleasant stay. The owner should take very good care of her because she works for you like its her business and we all know that employees like that are hard to find !
This place was absolutely amazing. I was hungry for something fresh and tasty and Patisserie Florentine was a hit.We got two of their salads with salmon and everything was so fresh.I know they say to never have coffee with salad but their cappuccino was rated so high online we had too.It was amazing and came with a little chocolate! This place and it’s staff was amazing!
Poor customer service, cashier lady seemed to be annoyed when I asked about add ons for a drink? The latte was too foamy at first sip compared to others I have tried, but got better after it cooled down (but what is the point if you wanted a hot latte?)The pastries look pretty decent and this place labels itself as a french bistro inspired cafe (which it seems to be based on the decor), but not 100% sure about the authenticity. The coffee is decent but they could honestly improve on the customer service and friendliness levels here.
I get a hot skim cappuccino every day, and it is amazing! Best in Closter!
The best breakfast/brunch place in town!!!! Love everything there and highly recommend for anyone visiting the area. Their almond croissant is the best I have ever had by far.
The royal omelet was very tasty. It is great for one person, not so much for sharing. The babka was awesome!
Breakfast and pastries one of the best we’ve ever had! Chef/ owner is very talented and friendly. Ambiance is of a French cafe. Highly highly recommend.
Nice place but the owner will gladly serve his friends who came in after you even though he sees you are in line. Happened to my wife today and we’ve been coming for years. A wife deprived of her coffee affects all of us.. believe it!
Very good. My son chooses this place for brunch. Small place but very good food and fair price.
We just stopped in to this beautiful patisserie on Dean St. What a treasure! The food and coffee were all freshly prepared and the staff truly went above and beyond. This place reminds me of the quaint places that I have visited in small towns abroad. Stop by when you can! You’ll be happy that you did!
The food quality is good but the staff’s attitude is disappointing. The waiting time is so long. We were waiting around 30 min for order considering the staff wasn’t busy. There were lots of tables available. They didn’t pay attention to us until we’ve reminded about ourselves… and even after that they didn’t remove the dirty dishes from the table.
Food was fantastic and a beautiful ladys smile at counter made my day!! She was a joy to us. Thanks.
Had the pleasure to come across this gem of a bakery ! Starting from being welcomed by the staff to being served deliciously amazing food ! 5 stars just is not enough !
Consistently lose simple phone orders. Ok food.Updating my previous review and dropping a star. Was placed on perpetual hold
Decent food that is pricey but acceptable. Service was exceptionally substandard, even after the brunch rush. Waitstaff needed to be reminded to clear the table, to bring cutlery, and to even take our orders. We spent nearly 30min of our one-hour brunch trying to flag down a waiter. At a certain point, it felt like the waitress did not want to clear our table and was waiting for someone else to do so while we waited for dessert.
Ive been going here for a while now. Since the beginning. Its a nice little place for a brunch/lunch. Since the place is small, it gets packed very quickly but it is worth the wait. I almost always get the omelette royal. But the small sandwiches are good too. The chocolate croissant and cappuccino is everything.
Very nice, light & bright. Good food, presentation, fresh OJ, great latte. Over the top French toast. Will reurn.
Quaint breakfast/lunch spot right off Englewood’s main thoroughfare (Palisade Ave). Cappuccino was silky and rich, waffles were fluffy, and vinaigrette on the side salad was VERY tasty. Toast was burnt and eggs had no seasoning, but not a deal breaker for this spot. The show stopper was the incredible croissant! Flaky, buttery, soft and crispy - you’ve never had a croissant until you’ve had one here!
Their filled croissants are the best I’ve ever had. Terrific place and a terrific chef.
Good was good but the level of service is incompetence is beyond me.
The food and service were both great!
We went for a nice Memorial Day weekend breakfast, but what a shock. We got cold eggs, no Hollandaise sauce and cold crepes. Server only comment was sorry, she didnt even try to make the situation better. Truly disappointed. Never coming back!
The waitress are terrible, very unprofessional.Need to work on customer service!
Unbelievably rude and bad service from a young lady at the front. Please train your employees on how to deal with baked goods and how to treat customers. My family has been coming here for years, very disappointed and sad.
A solid 3.5Food was honestly a 4.25 really good had a fabulous strawberry & nutella crepe with a matcha latte and a bit of a broccoli quicheOnly gripe would be service which is a 3.25 took a bit long to for me and when i was looking to leave waited 10 minutes before just walking towards the front and paying at the cashierWould go again definitely just hoping in the future a bit better service but worth a second go around
5 stars great experience
Great basket of French pastries, and terrific coffee - many choices which is pleasant.
The food is great but needs better service my family ordered a croissant and never got it, Im definitely coming back because it good food but I hope they improve their service.
Best croissant in the area.
3rd and last time Ill go there! They always screw up orders and breakfast came out cold.
Royal egg amazing
Moved back to 2. Uncommunicative staff, food took way too long for what we ordered.
This place made the best latte I’ve ever tasted. Also - their baked goodies are delicious. Will definitely go back again.
Finally found a place with really good coffee, My brother was visiting me from overseas and we happened to see this place and decide to stop in for a coffee, yet was surprised at how good the coffee and croissant actually were. When I complimented the very nice owner he explained to us the whole process of making the croissant. I will definitely come again with my wife as well.
THE best almond croissants!!
This may be the worse review Ive ever written about a place but I feel this spot merits it. Tried to support our local business and enjoy the beautiful day with a walk to Patisserie Florentine turned out to be a nightmare. After being seated immediately after we arrived I was expecting the service to be just as good but what a rude awaking I got after. We waited over 10 minutes for a server to even acknowledge our table only after we waved him down. He took our order and 15 minutes later comes our coffee and water. Still optimistic we sipped our coffee pretty slow anticipating the food to arrive shortly. After an additional 30 minutes waiting I decided to flag our waiter and ask about our food, he response was it should be the next order up. Not sure what that meant since I saw about 4 more orders come out the kitchen and nothing for us. After waiting another 15 minutes and close to feeling faint we just had to go. The cashiers only response was, the kitchen was backed up. Well if I wouldve known that before telling me our food was one order away maybe I couldve mentally prepared myself but their was no update at all the whole time we were there. Food looks great just too bad we have to be there 3 hours to try it.Word of advice, if you are going to try this place make sure you dont go hungry and have no where else to go the whole day. Dont think I would try this place again.
This place is a whole vibe! Amazing food, adorable interior decor, petite in size and busy all the time. You can definitely feel the French influences from end to end. The staff are laid back but attentive. They even have portable devices they bring to your table to pay for your check. Oh! and the coffee is superb. There is an array of pastries as well. You can order some to go and they are delicious.Great find in Englewood downtown!
1st time here at Englewood location today, everything here is excellent. Our cappuccino and cafe latte was amazing and our croissants were flaky, fresh, flavorful and very delicious. We are hooked and will be back as often as we can. Patisserie Florentine is very well managed and staff is super attentive to detail.
Food was great with outdoor sitting
Patisserie is a very warm, inviting destination, where we generally happen to meet a friend or two, including certain staff members whove become our friends. When the plates arrive we are conflicted whether to start in on our gastronomic delights or just basque in the beauty of the culinary artistry. My personal favorites are the deserts, so relaxing with a latte, and finally absconding with a bagful of a variety of Patisseries wonderful croissants.
Went in for a quick brunch. Nice ambiance and atmosphere. The food was good. My wife liked the place and food, as well. The Benedict was good. The earl grey tea was good. I didnt try any of their pastries but may be next time.

The service was absolutely superb.I think the servers name was Jana - she was just amazing. She made sure that our large party was seated promptly. Even though they do not take reservations, the staff is super helpful trying to have people seated right away. Jana should be awarded for her amazing attitude and professionalism. She constantly checked up on our large party and made us feel so welcome. The food and drinks, without a question, were great. My family visiting from NY loved the experience.
Best breakfast Ive had since I-cant-remember-when. Simple, fresh food executed properly and seasoned perfectly. Great looking plates. Beautiful pastries, probably the best croissant Ive ever tasted. Staff was extremely friendly and accurate. I will be back.
We went to their place once for a lunch break six months ago. Went again today and ... same problem as before - very long wait for food. We got our dishes 50 mins after being seated. There we’re only three or four other tables and I think it should have been sooner. Food tasted great and coffee too, service was polite but what is going on? There are several people on the floor, keep taking orders and running it.
Delicious Benedict à la Florentine. Very friendly and helpful service.
Absolutely bad service. Each and every visit is the same. We never had a one time order. Always need to return / exchange. The guy in the front claims there is no manager on site this morning - embarrsmant.Good ☕. The place is tasty - but the service ....... Disappointing.
We came here a lot for past three years. Bad experience today, 1/2/2020. Wont be back to this place anymore. My wifes Egg Benedict with Lox was served on regular toast with bad fish smelling lox and it was dark brown. We had to spit out the food. Told the servers and we were COMPLETELY ignored. I dont think servers here received any training. I ordered a Almond Croissant (which was pretty wet instead of usual crisp taste) and ask them to heat it up. It was served cold and told us their oven was broken.. Really?? Loud Spanish music coming out of the kitchen entire time. Is this supposed to be a Italian or a French Cafe? Change the name guys. I think either lack of management or the business was sold to someone cheap. Overall quality went down way too low. I agree now with many other bad reviewers. AVOID THIS PLACE. FIND SOMETHING BETTER!
Very nice atmosphere and the wait staff was very nice and knowledgeable. Would definitely come again!
Food was tasty, but extremely poor service. I ate here earlier today with a friend, and I was being discussed amongst the staff. I felt as if they had a preconceived notion about how we were going tip. You should treat every customer the same, and not discuss a tables tip. How unfortunate... even though the food was good, we were left with a bad taste.
This is THE breakfast place for families and couples. I think the quality of the food they have here is high and very good prices. The brunch special is very special too with orange juice + coffee + breakfast choice for around $15 dollars. Love the staff too! Must try in the area.
This is the best place in the United States that you can get a croissant. The food is great and fresh and the coffee is fabulous. The staff is really friendly and its very clean and a very cozy environment.
Amazing customer service. The pastries are deeeelish!! The lunch menu is just wonderful. The coffee and fresh pressed orange juice are just as incredible!! Love going here for few years now.
Its a tight fit with so many tables in such a small place, but a great option for brunch on the weekends. Theres usually no wait, or if there is it will be about 15 minutes. The menu is french fare; quiche, salads, omelets, croquets. Not huge portions but incredibly satisfying. A wide variety of freshly baked pastries are also available. Coffee is fantastic.
I come here a lot I love this place they have great pastries they taste amazing! Their croissants are always baked everyday and they taste amazing! Not stale or old like regular stores! They have a great menu and great pastures I high recommend this place!
The coffee taste doesn’t good
Best breakfast in Fort Lee area. Fantastic egg dishes. Service is not great as its very busy, but if you have some patience, you will be happy with the food.
Great food, slower than a lawn mower to get service. They need less pretentious hipster waiters and more efficient employees with better skills. They rather socialize about what they heard on NPR on their way to work behind the pastry and coffee counter, then realize half the tables are ready to get their check while the tiny waiting area fills up and people leave cause no one wants to take their name down.
This place definitely changed. From excellent to bad!!!. Bad food, bad coffee and bad service. I used recomend this place to all my friends, not any more . Dont waste your money here. Even Starbucks is way better.
Service here has been consistently bad. Untrained and forgetful staff. Misplaced orders. Was served a hot cappuccino instead of ice latte. Never a spoon or sugar with the coffee. Long wait times.I wish I could write a better review
Excellent service!
I have come here twice just for take out- just coffee and a pastry. The employees are very standoffish, as if I am interrupting them. Cant imagine what it would be like to sit down and eat. Not interested in returning even though the food looks very good.
A light and friendly atmosphere with a pop of classic and American style music that inspires a bubbly, yet peaceful mood. It transports you to Paris, with delectable pastries and comforting tea to match. With an attentive and respectful staff, this cafe is the perfect place for a nice bite, or a relaxing cup of tea to go along with your conversation.Dont pass up this lovely little French gem!
Loved the food and the service! Very cosy
Phenomenal food. Great atmosphere. The manager Christopher and his crew were fantastic. Thank you for such great service.
The best croissants this side of Paris. Great salads, omelets and everything else. Service staff is very friendly. Worth the trip but be prepared to wait during peak noon hours.Best brunch for miles.
Nice little place, but took a while to have our order taken and be served. One waitress was not friendly at all, but the other one was great. We ordered the Eggs Benedict and Belgium Waffle. The Benedict was good, but the waffle was very dense and tasteless, like it was made with pastry dough instead of batter.
Cant say enough about patisserie florentine. Their service is top notch, food consistently well made and prices are reasonable . Try this place out youll be happy you did!
Fantastic food great atmosphere it’s BYOB so bring a bottle. Fresh delicious and well thought out ingredients. Love this place. No reservations but went with 4 ppl at 1pm and they shuffled tables to get us in.
They used to have a manager, Henry who used to run this place and got it running to perfection. We came back after not being here for a bit and OMG! Everyone is new, eggs not cooked the way I asked, sunny side up easy, came back sunny side up raw! Sent back, “chef” brought back sunny side up over cooked. Waiter showed me a picture of what it would look like and still no success. Spoke to manager (?), she didn’t have any customer relations skills... she said she would fix...guess what brought back same way! Ate croissant only!
Make sure to have the Plaisir! If you love hazelnuts, you will be in heaven..perfect combination of chocolate and hazelnut layers! Very friendly staff and very cozy place to have a great cup of coffee!
I still dream about how delicious this place is. Come to Michigan!!! You would make a killing in Birmingham. Love this Patisserie so much!
Delicious lunch made of fresh ingredients in a charming cafe atmosphere. Very friendly and efficient staff. A favorite place to go, with plenty of choices for my vegetarian daughter as well.
The server was really rude if she needed the chair that had my clothes on, she could’ve asked nicely, instead she goes “I need that chair” :( don’t want to revisit.
5 stars, high quality ingredients, amazing customer service.
Decided to try this place to support a local business, but was highly disappointed with the poor service. Waited at least 15 minutes before anyone approached our table, and that was after flagging down a waiter. Another 15 mins to get coffee and a water. After placing our order at least 45 minutes went by and yet no food. Again had to get a waiter’s attention as no one approached our table to alert us of the wait. After another 10 minutes, we decided to pay for the coffee and water and leave the restaurant. As someone that works in the service industry, I would highly recommend further training and maybe added help during peak business hours.
