My experience so far is with George who came out to my home and gave me an estimate. He was on time, neatly groomed, and professional. George listened to my needs carefully and made suggestions. He had a law enforcement background, which was helpful. My needs for a security system were an emergency. He got the estimate to me quickly, was reasonable, and worked me into the schedule fast, even though the company was two to three weeks out on orders. George as a front line employee is perfect.

My grandpa’s friend started this company and my grandpa is their oldest customer! They just installed an upgraded security system in our house and the two guys were here from 8am-4pm! After being an unhappy Stanley Security customer, I decided it was time to find another home alarm company. I picked a neighborhood where I thought there would be many homes using alarm services, and as I drove around I kept seeing a lot of Security Central signs, so this is the company I picked. And I picked correctly, because this is a great company. In my business (which I have had for 30 years) I use a lot of construction trades people, so I have experienced the gamut of excellent, good, and bad companies, and Security Central falls into the excellent category. Their courteous office staff answered the phone immediately, and making my initial appointment was easy. The first person I met with was Mike, who came out to my house and helped me determine what was necessary to update my old system and switch the monitoring over to Security Central. Mike is a former police officer, and what better person would there be to help assess your security needs? Mike was friendly, knowledgeable, and his bid was very reasonable, much less than Stanley Security wanted to charge me to update the system they put in my house many years ago. Then technician Steven came out to install my new parts and switch over my system. Steven was great; a very personable young man who installed everything correctly and spent a lot of time answering our questions about how the new system worked. The next day I decided to make a couple of programming tweaks, so I called the office and Mark, one of the office technicians, made the changes for me. Every step of this process has been hassle-free, something that is rare in the world these days! And a bonus is that Security Central is a local, family-owned company, so youre not dealing with some corporate giant whose office is several states away.

This alarm company has been just like the others (ADP, Protection One). We paid for the install and equipment. It comes with a warranty. We have been a customer for 5 months, and have had 4 service calls since having the system installed. They invoiced us for two of the calls, without warning us of such charges, which I was able to get both written off once I pointed out the lack of warning and our warranty. Now they want to charge for a new sensor and labor again, on the same part that had an invoice written off previously. Its like pulling teeth to get what you pay for with these guys. I give them 2 stars because the alarm itself does work at preventing intruders and has worked in two break-ins.You expect your security company to be on your side, not for them to try to rob you like the jerks who try to break in.

The service tech show up on time to convert my security system from land-line based to a wireless system. He evaluated my current installation and in a few minutes installed the wireless equipment. He then walked me through installing software in my computer and smart phone. We then did a trial run on all the wireless features and verified that everything worked. Before leaving he checked all security zones in the house and barn and changed the backup battery. Overall an outstanding job by an experienced, knowledgable and cheerful technician. The new wireless system has allowed me to disconnect my unused land line and save $$$.

Everyone has been extremely helpful and nice when I have called having questions. My only feedback would be that it would be helpful to have a sheet with information on how payment was going to work and reminders of how the system works. As an example I accidentally set off the alarm and although I cleared it, I didnt know I had to clear it one more time to reset it. And it wasnt explained to us about the additional payment for the permit. These things being said were very happy with the system and the customer support has been excellent.
