Contacted Elex Sports, (SD-MTB) on Pinkbike, about a custom wheel build. Their price was unbeatable, and the workmanship on the build is excellent. I had an I9 Hydra built onto the Stans Flow MK3 with matching gold nipples and valve stem and they look even better than Id hoped. The important part is that they spin true and feel solid. Messaging SD-MTB on Pinkbike was easy and they always gave a response quickly. The wheels came professionally packaged in proper boxing and came right on time. They even sent the tracking number in a message on Pinkbike. Im one happy customer.

Purchased a set of EX511 wheels with DT Swiss 350 hubs and have since put around 2,400 miles on them. I dont normally post reviews but the experience was so good I had to in this case. First, they were ready super quick and since they were handbuilt I could choose exactly what I wanted. The feel from these wheels was way better than anything off the shelf Ive ridden before, they just felt springy like I could load them up in corners and shoot out with more speed. Ive had a few rock strikes on the rear but no major dents and all the spokes have held tension really well. I couldnt recommend them or ELEX more!

I got a wheelset from ELEX Sports and could not have asked for a better experience. Fantastic shop with excellent customer service - needed a new rear wheel and with all the supply chain issues (and all the different MTB standards...), its not always easy finding bike parts that fit right now. Found Elex on Pinkbike Buy Sell (their username is sd-mtb) and they custom built a wheel for me. Responded to all my messages within a couple hours, sometimes in just minutes. The time between my first message to the wheel arriving at my door was just about one week. I would definitely buy from them again.
Wheel builds are top notch. Had them lace some Stan’s Flow EX3 rims to DT 350 hubs … have put ~600 gravity miles on these guys with absolutely zero issues and they’ve stayed dead true. Many park days, Pisgah chunder, rocky east coast tech, you name it - couldn’t be happier. As a bonus, you can’t beat the price, and the communication was fluid and clear. I plan to buy all future custom wheelsets through Andrey!
Andrey, was not happy with a transaction and instead of being professional he decided to put me down for being an immigrant. His issue was that I could not spell well. Yes, I speak multiple languages and English can be difficult to spell. This does not give him the right to put people down just because someone’s English is the second language. I do not recommend dealing with this business just for the simple fact I got treated unfairly.

I bought a set of 29 Stans No Tubes/Industry Nine wheels built by ELEX and absolutely love them. Ive been riding for 30 years and ridden a bunch of different mid-range and high end wheels. The wheels that ELEX built for me are DEAD solid round and true. And the engagement on the Hydra hubs is NOT hype. Its kinda crazy...I just feel completely connected to the wheels. I thought that my riding fatigue was from my age...which is partly true...but the wheels put some real boost in my riding. Particularly in the downhill swoops where Ive been aggravated by my poor balance...not being able to maintain speed without braking. That totally was my old wheels...with the Stan/Hydras, I was able to easily do more of what I believe my skills should allow me to do. Not like pro-level stuff; just solid mid-range been riding mtn bikes for 30 years kind of stuff. It was super relaxing...to feel that again...being in charge of the ride!!! I havent felt like playin around on the bike for years, but with the new set I felt like just pokin around making the trail perk up and take notice!! And Hydras sound great. Thanks Elex!! Complicated custom wheels were crafted for me by ELEX sports. Very specific requirements for these 29er wheels for my fatbike. Andrey was extremely knowledgeable on recommendations and for followup very responsive by messaging. When additional components were needed (tires, rotors) appropriate quality components were made available at discount prices. Finally the wheels came, immediately went from box to bike and worked perfectly. Ive been riding them pretty hard and after about 500 miles on pothole ridden urban streets of the twin cities they are still perfectly true. Great customer service for great results.

Just received my wheels and I must say I was blown away by how beautiful the wheelset turned out but I’m even more blown away by how they rode. Absolutely amazing. I ordered industry nine hydra hubs 28/32r with stans flow mk3 rims. The price was reasonable since they were custom build and they were far cheaper than if I were to buy any wheelset from industry nine themselves. They were same price as industry nine entry level torch wheelset. They were definitely worth the price and I would definitely recommend this wheelset to anyone but more importantly I’d recommend this company. Great communication and the product was built and shipped to my door within 5 days. Great customer service.

I ordered a Onyx/Stans wheelset through Elex Sports, Andrey was awesome to work with. He always replied to my text messages, communication was 10/10. After the wheel build was decided I made the choice to contact Andrey to have the driver switched to MicroSpline and he was more than willing to contact Onyx and have them swap it over. I must also mention that Elex Sports had the best price anywhere for this wheelset setup with the build included. I received my wheels today and they look amazing, true as can be.
