A local fabricator I work with recommended I check with McMaster-Carr for some pipe plugs I needed for a project. Long story short....due to a mix up I ended up not needing them. When I called to see if they had shipped yet, Carolyn immediately said they would issue credit even though they had shipped. I didnt even have to ask! It wasnt much money, but that few dollars has earned McMaster-Carr a lifetime customer!! Thank you and Great Job Carolyn!!!

Ive been purchasing parts from these guys for over 14 years. They have been a model of consistency, as far as always having my parts ready on time and professional service. Their website is absolutely beautiful, and I wish other distributors would use theirs as a model of how to make an easy-to-navigate and user-friendly website.Their prices are on the higher end, but in the end, you get what you pay for.

Ordered using their online storefront. Pieces came very quickly and were exactly what I needed. Emailed support 4 months after the purchase about an issue with a piece I hadnt used until then, and they were incredibly prompt (response in ~10 minutes) and immediately resolved the problem. A great place that carries ton of hardware, industrial equipment, tools, electric parts, mechanical parts, and more. Usually available for pickup in one hour. Will call staff is very unfriendly though :(Access road was very muddy last time I was there. You might have to wash your car afterwards.

Terrible Service! Refused to help me identify the part I needed. Just wanted me to give them a part # and wouldn’t do anything more. Web site is plain garbage, nothing more than an old style catalog with no added value. Once you do dig in, you quickly learn that unless you to pick it up at will call today, you can buy what you need elsewhere and for a lesser price. Perhaps if we take the time and start to spend our dollars elsewhere, they will stop taking us customers for granted and provide some customer service.

Place has tremendous selection of merchandise to run your facility. Service top notch, deliveries many times happen in the afternoon when I placed an order in the morning. Have also used them for items I needed for my home.

Stopped using Grainger long ago in favor of McM. I dont know who wants to read a 2000 page catalog from anyone when you have a website as good as them. Super simple and easy to navigate. Best of all is the customer service. You dont speak with a call center in India or some 20 year old kid - these are real people that inexplicably know their stuff and can provide the finest details on anything should you inquire. I use will call in emergencies to great results and orders before noon come via courier at a cost less than UPS ground. Never had a bad experience, spent tens of thousands in the past few years. Best industrial supplier bar none.

Yes, getting a catalogue is not easy - its a very expensive catalogue to produce, so they dont just hand them out willy-nilly - you need to have a history of buying from them before they will ship one.Thankfully, the web site is super easy to find things in, and you can set up an account there if you wish.As a small one-man manufacturing shop, Ive bought from them for 25+ years now, with never a complaint. No, they do not always have the specific brand that you may want, but, frankly, that is a fact of life with all supply houses.The fact that you can find darned near anything you could want, and in stock, puts them heads and shoulders above every other supply house Ive ever used.

We have had years of good luck with MMC as far as availability, ship time and the quality is pretty good.Unfortunately we are one of America’s small businesses so we don’t spend tens of thousands of dollars with them. Evidently we do not qualify to receive a catalog from them. They insist on using the on line catalog. They do not acknowledge your request to purchase or buy a catalog from them.In our line of fabrication work our service techs work with team members and customers. Waiting for the catalog pages to load become bothersome to the client. If the customer does not know the proper terminology to identify an item they become frustrated. This frequent situation leaves the service tech uncomfortable and the client will walk away from the sale.Please sell us a catalog and charge our account and help our company grow.

I placed an order for a new hand truck and what I received was a used hand truck for the low price of $315 (plus $70 shipping).I contacted them and they are picking up and shipping a new one, but the charged me for the second hand truck immediately and did not credit the original.Very dissatisfied with my first (and last) order.

Mcmaster-carr is not a place for bargin shopping and cut throat pricing. They are a reasonably priced one stop shop for everything you need for your business and they execute like no other company Ive worked with. The logistics and accuracy of the ordering and shipments are outstanding. They have excellent organization of the website and make purchasing fast and easy. Without question the easiest returns anywhere. You package you returns and send it back and they do the rest of the work. Order before 1230 and get it same day in most cases.

I ordered some gas and oil resistant o rings to do carb repair. I orders Monday and it was delivered by Tuesday! Only thing I can complain about is the fact that when ordered online I was not given a shipping price until I was billed.

Bingo!The no-discount thing can be good; shop around and compare prices, compare availability. With Grainger it can be difficult to get the same discount for home; any credit card purchases for home using the company discount show up at Accounts Receivable at work, and I have to explain. No such problem at McMaster-Carr.
