Great place to stop if you are fishing the Yakima river! Very knowledgeable and helpful if you are just started learning to fly fish.

Purchased a set of Cataract Oars through Mark, I was then notified that our shipment had been delayed which would have forced us to cancel our trip to the Yakima, this was no fault of Mark or The Evening Hatch. Mark then did something that I believe is a reflection of how far he will go to satisfy his customers. He showed up Saturday morning with a pair of oars out of his boat. I would highly recommend The Evening Hatch (Mark Strand) if you plan on floating any part of the Yakima.

Called them this morning and he gave me a bunch of great advice, what flies to use, and a good place to go. Was really friendly. Wish Id caught his name so I could post it.

Asked a simple question and hung up on me. My friend and I are new to the town and asked if he knew where to get worms. Just no answer and hung up. Kinda crappy
