I spent several days looking for 12-24 threaded rod. Almost no one carries it. I searched hardware stores, auto part stores, etc. Amazon had it, but with a 2 week shipping window. Then I found MSC, they had it in stock and told me they could overnight it to me for $12. It is hard to believe, but it was sitting on my porch the next day! MSC is exactly the kind of business a consumer wants to deal with!
MSC was 1 mile from my work site. After driving to location, and speaking to will call counter guy, I called Fastenal and drove across town to pick up the tap. Ill just skip MSC in the future.
The management are not very organized at all they wait till last minute to do anything.. Plus they show alot of favorites..... They dont treat all there employees equal....
I am a reasonably good sized customer at MSC and went in this morning to place an order and pick up parts. The gentleman would not look up a part for me even though there was no other customers in the lobby needing help. He simply said catalogs are over there. He was also not exactly friendly as he seemed to just give one word answers. I also asked if I could use the restroom that I could literally see 15 feet from me and was told they are not open. Even though an employee used it while I was there. Now I’m all for not spreading COVID but this is ridiculous. While I was at MSC the gentleman pushed a cart up to block off the restroom access making it obvious that was for further acknowledgement that I was not allowed. I will limit my purchases from MSC from now on because of their lack of customer service and just plain lack of human respect.
Would not take delivery before appointment, no problem. However they get around to unloading when they feel like it. Started unloading 1 hour after appointment time. No understanding or consideration of drivers time. Seem to concerned about shipping orders.
As a place to work this place gets no stars. I worked there for 2 days doing part time work for minimum wage because they wanted to see if I was a good fit for their team. After a month and a half I finally got an email saying they didnt need my services. That was back in mid september. As of now its been Almont 3 months and I still havent been paid for my time working there. Ive called people there, emailed them and even drove up there only for them to say that they would send me a check as soon as possible. This is ridiculous. I know its not a lot of money, but when you go to a place and work your butt off trying to get a job, then get no pay and no communication from their side, you know this place is trying to get over on people.
Always helpful, friendly, knowledgeable and they have a willingness to help find what you need!
