Both times I went in last month they were extremely busy. My experiences in the store went fine. However, they did not tell me the shoe I ordered was not in stock. As I write this I dont even know if my order was cancelled or if they will be getting it in. I called a few days ago to follow-up and no one has returned my call. Maybe they are just under-staffed.

I love that they have appointments for shoe fittings so I don’t have any anxiety about having to wait around and flag down someone to help me find a shoe. The digital foot scan and presentation is so cool. Xavier did a great job explaining everything, I really gained a better understanding of my feet and shoe sizing. The Elk Grove location has a smaller selection, but enough for me to try out different brands and find a shoe that fits well, and they can special order if the size or color isn’t in stock. Prices are comparable to manufacturers’ websites. I’ll definitely shop here again!

First time going to fleet feet. I had the best shoe fitting experience. Everyone there and the store itself honestly exceeded my expectations immensely. The woman I worked with was clear, concise, and wanted to make sure I understood everything about my own feet as well as types of shoes she recommended. Walked out of there with a brand new pair of running shoes and couldn’t have been more happier.

I hadnt been to a Fleet Feet in about 10 years, but the technology they employee to tell you how you run, and what you need in a shoe is super cool. The people are always incredibly friendly and helpful. I wont go anywhere else for a running shoe.

What I like about Fleet Feet Elk Grove are the friendly and knowledgeable staff members. I like that we were able to set up an appointment over the phone and/or online in order to have dedicated one on one time with a Fleet Feet expert outfitter. In our case, that was with the friendly and personable, Mackenzie. The appointment that we made before our arrival made all the difference as we were able to walk in at our appointment time and Mackenzie was ready and excited to assist us.Mackenzie was very professional, a good listener and instructive. Often times when a customer walks in with their children a sales rep will focus on speaking only to the adult but in this case when Mackenzie learned that my two daughters were the ones looking for running shoes for their cross country seasons she appropriately shifted her focus to speaking AND listening to my daughters while still keeping me engaged. The fit test she conducted was simple yet advanced enough to help us learn new things about both of my daughters feet and the type of shoes that would best fit each of their specific needs. I thought it was great that we were able to email some of the fit test results to our personal emails for future reference.After the fit test, Mackenzie recommended a few models of shoes but was constantly looking for feedback so she could make informed adjustments and help each of my daughters narrow down the options to find the perfect pair of shoes for each of them. What stood out to me was not once in our interaction with Mackenzie did we feel like she was rushing us to make a decision. We also didnt feel like she was pushing us to buy products that we didnt need.I also liked that when the specific type of insoles that fit the best for my eldest daughter was not available in the Elk Grove store, Mackenzie made the extra effort to contact the Sacramento Fleet Feet location to have them pull the desired insoles from their stock to have it delivered in Elk Grove for us to pick up the very next day! Lastly, I also like that Fleet Feet stands by their products by offers a 60 day return policy. We dont plan on having to make any returns but it gives me peace of mind knowing that if either of my daughters find out after a few different training runs that the shoes arent the right fit for them that we could go back in to exchange those shoes for another pair of shoes, if needed.As a result of these positive experiences and services, we left the Elk Grove Fleet Feet store feeling like valued customers who could return back anytime if we had any questions, concerns or running based needs.Thank you Mackenzie and the rest of the Fleet Feet Elk Grove team for the excellent customer service. We will be back again!If I could make one suggestion that you may have been told in the past and are already looking to address... it may be worth the extra cost of hiring another staff member or two that helps solely with the walk in traffic while a few other staff are dedicated to helping just those with pre-set appointments at least during the busiest times of your day.There were moments during our visit where I saw multiple walk in customers standing around and I could tell that a few of them were getting annoyed and/or anxious having to wait. In a world where first impressions go a long way, I thought that it was worth mentioning to help your business. The staff that was working that day did their best to stay focused on their customer(s) at hand while trying to also acknowledge the waiting walk in customers and to let them know that they would be helped as soon as a staff member became available but I could see how some of your potentially new customers may leave with a bad first impression if it takes 10, 15 or even more minutes to be seen for what may be a simple question or a potential purchase.I hope my comments and feedback was helpful. Very friendly staff and always busy! I think there is decent selection of shoes and help in the store. Clean environment and the shoe firing machine was quite helpful in finding my accurate shoe size and was surprised! I would shop here again because of the excellent customer service!

Good experience in the store, but absolutely do not let them order shoes from their site if you want a color they dont have in stock, you know exactly what you want, but they dont have it at the moment, etc. The e-commerce side of things and related customer service are really, really bad.

Look, I love the idea of this store and the personalization the employees bring to the running shoe buying experience. This year, Ive bought two pairs of running shoes here and I love them! Theyve got a trail that runs behind the store that is super convenient to try out shoes and join their Run Crew on Tuesdays 6pm. Need new running shoes, Id recommend coming here.

First Fleet Feet experience and to say it went well was an understatement. You may be hesitant to spend as much as youre going to, but its worth EVERY penny. They personalize the whole experience. Xavier in Elk Grove hit a home run with my shoes and I am quite pleased with my purchase.

Jennie was very knowledgeable with any questions I had. She was not pressuring me to buy anything. She measured my feet on the machine for my arch, size, etc. She was very patient and I did not feel rushed at all. I ended up buying new shoes and insoles. Today was my first day wearing them after a 10 hour shift and I felt as if I can walk or stand for more hours! I truly love this location and how Jennie offered us her service without rushing. I recommend this location and make sure to ask for her! Very inviting store!

Excellent experience at Fleet Feeht. I really appreciated the knowledgeable staff combined with the use of technology to find just the right shoe for me.

I love how the associates go into great detail to make sure you are in the right shoe for your activity and your foot. They take their time to talk you through your options. You feel important, valued and they don’t rush you at all. The store has a wide variety of options for all of your running needs. The associates are very knowledgeable and encouraging.

Had never been to the Fleet Feet Elk Grove store before -- or any Fleet Feet store. Liked the measuring machine, the knowledge of the staff and being able to find what I wanted. Hopefully my walking experiences will improve.

Nice store, friendly staff, pretty good selection. They have a 3D scanner that takes a image of your feet. Im not sure why. Prices $120 to $150 what they showed me. Very comfortable. Im going back tomorrow to buy a pair.

I cant say I get too excited about shoe stores but this was a really great experience and everyone that worked there was great.

Never in my life have I received just bad customer service. The person who assisted us clearly did not want to help us because we said we weren’t ready to purchase just yet. We watched her give the best customer service to the person before us that had just purchased shoes but when it came to us she didn’t give us the same. Very disappointed with my experience .

Just bought a new pair of shoes at the Elk Grove Fleet Feet. The service is excellent, loved my sales person, very personable and knowledgeable. It costs nothing more to shop at the store and get a full analysis of your feet and type of shoe that takes the guesswork out of buying running shoes on line. I am so glad to have a Fleet Feet that is conveniently located.

The shoes look and feel like great quality. This is my second time there and we were completely ignored. We were planning to buy comfortable shies, but left there empty handed. No customer service. I work in customer service. At least acknowledge walk in customer, a well be with you in just a moment, not hello, not a smile nothing. Sooo very disappointed for the 2nd. We will no comeback.

I have Plantar Faciatis and have been in horrible pain. I went to Fleet Feet to get Motion Control shoes that were recommended by my physician. The sales member Theresa was amazing and so knowledgeable about shoes, exercises and feet. She fit me into a perfect pair of shoes. The shoes feel so good on my feet! I also purchased Hidden Comfort socks. Theresa also showed me how to use the roller ball and the Addaday to help my calfs loosen up. I am so excited to know I can start walking again and I believe the end is in sight to all my foot pain. Thank you Fleet Feet!

Wow so happy this store is here in EG!I left REI earlier today because they didnt service me at ALL.What a HUGE difference in customer service! Its top notch from the moment I walked into the door to Jeff measuring my foot and watching me walk. The best part was Jeff actually putting the shoes onto my feet like the old school days. He was very attentive and listened to me as I work on my feet a lot with 16 hour shifts and have plantar fasciitis. I loved his suggestions on orthotics too! Im in love! I will definitely come back as they reward you with $15 for every $150 spent that needs to be used within 6 months vs REI where you have to pay $20 for a membership in order to receive discounts.Thank you Jeff for your wonderful care and service! Ill be back soon!
