I purchased an Optima battery from here a year ago. Exactly one year later the battery gave out. I went back to Interstate battery and they kept the battery a couple days to charge it which is procedure. I get a phone call a couple days later letting me know that the battery is completely dead. They also tell me that they cant replace my Optima battery that I paid well over $200 for. Keep in mind that Optima batteries come with a 3 year free replacement warranty. The only option I was given was to take an AGM battery with no warranty. At first I took it because I was under the impression that Optima didnt want to warranty my battery until I contacted Optima battery myself the following day. Optima battery told me that Interstate battery is suppose to honor the warranty especially because they are an authorized dealer for Optima. The person I spoke with at Optima also told me that Interstate battery did me wrong and sounds like they are doing something shady there. So that same day I went back to Interstate battery to pick up my dead Optima battery and gave them back their battery. So now Optima battery is handling my warranty claim for me. Never will I do business or recommend this Interstate battery to anyone.

The worst customer service!! I will never do business with them again. I left my battery on Friday October 4 so they could charge it to find out if it was still good. They stated they would call me on Monday October 7, well no call. The battery was no good and expired 4 days after the expiration date, associate stated that there was nothing that could be done. So I ask to speak to manager who by the way never address my concern, cause he was talking politics with another customer. I would high recommend that customers stay away from businesses like this one who lack service.

My six-year Interstate battery went out at 39 months. On 1/18/19, I found out that a tire company on El Pasos west side handled Interstate batteries, but they didnt want to honor the warranty because it would mess up their inventory and asked that we take it to this Interstate Battery Store. The store is 20 miles from my house so I called them first to see what my out of pocket cost would be to get a new battery. They told me $102.00. They then told me that there was a process they had to go through. They would have to keep the battery for 48 hours to run their test to see if it was defective in order to honor the warranty. (Pep Boys tested the battery on their machine and verified that it was defective and needed replaced. This took about 15 minutes.) So this store wanted me make two round trips to their store (80 miles), plus wait 48 hours to decide if they would honor the warranty!I drove a short distance away to Sams Club and bought a 3-year battery for about $124.00 with same cranking amps and a no questions asked warranty. If youre time is worth anything, I recommend buying ANY battery except an Interstate Battery. Worst Warranty service ever experienced!!!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE FOR ANYTHING!! The Manager, I wont mention his name- was very rude, condescending and combative!! He did not want to help me and was implying that it was my fault. Only when I asked to speak to the owner is when his attitude changed and was trying to be a little more helpful. Worst experience I have ever experienced!!!!!

Had to replace 2 batteries in two of my vehicles in 25mths when before 24mths is the full replacement. So they just gave me a 45 percent discount on a New battery .This batteries arent as good as they Say they are. Sorry Interstate.

Went in to warranty a battery that was obviously leaking. The owner said it due to wrong terminals being used without even checking them. He tried to convince me it wasnt a manufacturer defect. When asked if batteries are supposed to leak he couldnt give me an answer. He was rude and honestly im not even sure he knew what he was talking about. Horrible experience..

I bought a battery this morning and had a pleasent experience talking to Danny .I didnt bring my tools so he was kind enough to take off the old batt.and cleaned and secured the terminals .By the way this is my 2nd time around. It beats paying 200.00 for 4 years i had a 50$ last me 2 years!

Customer for years but very unhappy a few months ago I took 2 batteries that according to them were good I put them back, one month they no longer work I take them and they no longer have a guarantee now the same thing happens with another I carry it and clinging that it is good. drumsWhen it discharges alone and they do not want to make the change because the battery is good and now it turns out that my alternator is bad for charging 14.7 volts and the owner may be very kind when they receive money but when you want to make a guarantee, it will never be good I buy here again
