We loved it! They were busy and we were informed about the 30 mins wait time and no special request -- but they were able to deliver our food in less than the time frame they said. We came to this place after we went hiking. The food hits the spot, they have a wide selection of fresh & healthy drinks and food. The best part was their vegetarian options and dog friendly.
Wonderful. Our friends, Bistros frequent customers, suggested we eat here today. I had a delicious Club Wrap. My wife, the spinach salad. All were delicious. Great service. Reasonable prices. Something for everybody. And dont forget the wheat grass shots!
This place never meets my expectations. I first started coming here about five years ago. They’ve had an upgrade, but to me they still have an unprofessional, hinky feel. I’ve seen dirty silverware, broken high chairs, and emergency exits blocked. I am always a little confused about whether I should seat myself or stand in line to order. I still don’t know. The food comes in generous portions, but doesn’t exactly taste good. It’s too expensive. I do, however, like their smoothies. 👍
This place is amazing! Great staff service. Delicious breakfast food, I highly recommend the omelette, Eggs Benedict, and any of the pancakes! But anything you want from their menu, you wont be disappointed with. If you dine in here, the staff presents the food so well. The food looks so delicious and it tastes as delicious as it looks!

There is a large variety of choices here for breakfast. Ive had the pancakes, which are very good and I had an omelet on my last visit. The portions are large and the staff is very friendly. I recommend this place.
We usually love this place but today we ordered from there. Asked specifically for extra cream cheese on a bagel. They gave me a DRY bagel and the salmon that comes with it. Nothing on it. No extra cream cheese or on the side. When we called the woman was rude and kept saying it was there and it wasnt. She argued with me on the phone. Finally she just said fine, Ill give you a refund and hung up. So rude. Not going back.

We went here at the recommendation of a friend to grab a casual breakfast. The food was exceptional. I had an eggs Florentine Benedict and my companion had an incredible wrap. Very healthy selections are available including numerous smoothies and healthy drinks.

This is an amazing place for healthy breakfast. Their food is so delicious, I usually get an omelette or tuna melt with a seahorse (citrus juice) which is fresh by the way, and have never been let down. The staff is very friendly and patient, definitely one of my favorite places for breakfast or lunch.
We happened upon this little beauty of a place for breakfast on our way home after a long weekend in San Diego. From the outside it doesnt look like much but once inside you get a feel for a Mexican/Thai feel. Coffee smelled and tasted wonderful and the meals were amazing! Serving sizes were great and prices were very reasonable. This is definitely a place to keep on our radar when we are passing through or stopping in El Cajon. I wholeheartedly recommend this place for breakfast, lunch, or dinner (Im kind of biased towards breakfast though). My family and I loved everything we ate; coconut pineapple and strawberry banana pancakes, California Eggs Benedict w/bacon and avocado, and the Big Breakfast. Oh, and did I mention the coffee? It was AMAZING! Simply a wonderful experience.

I have been to this place three times now, and I just cant get enough! The food is so delicious and fresh. I have had the ABC Benedict and the La Mesa Classic. The ice tea is so yummy. The portions are large, and could be easily split between two people. I wish they stayed open later, because I would visit even more!! I have recommended this bistro to several friends.

Oh my goodness. I order the nova lox bagel and large açaí bowl through DoorDash And let me tell you it was so bomb. I was so happy. The extra surprise of cucumbers and parsley was so awesome. Açaí bowl was so yummy. Definitely 5 stars and will be getting this every week. Thank you!!!
The food is fresh. When you order an omelet (I get the Popeyes) the vegetables in it are fresh. Not frozen. The country potatoes are yummy. This is my new favorite breakfast place. Ive been the there 5 of the past 7 days for breakfast.
The Açaí bowl is top notch. Fresh is an understatement. Homemade 100%The coffee is delicious. The menu is crazy good. So many things to choose from. Nearly everything is organic. I wish I lived closer. I would eat here almost daily.

So, SO good! Im in a rut. I always get the Tijuana Benedict. My son loves the chicken and waffles and my daughter is big on the Nutella french toast. The acai bowl is pretty fricking great too. Lots of kinds of eggs Benedict. They have smoothies, fresh squeezed juices and bottomless coffee as well as espresso drinks. You order at the counter, and they bring the food to your table. It gets pretty busy on weekend mornings, but we always manage to find a table. Pet friendly at the outdoor tables.
Well not what I remember! First time back after the pandemic, not all that impressed. The staff didnt seem like they worked that well together. One of the cooks is the same, but still the food seemed mediocre. They brang our hash browns out way before the rest of our other food so they were cold.
Today they were SUPER BUSY!! But still got my food and its yummy!!

Fulling, ACTUALLY cooked food not half-a$$ed,great job ECBBThe bad....Presentation is a 2 out of 5 stars, food isnt scrambled all over the place but it can definitely use a fine dining touch, this bistro would be on top of the world and more favorable to eat at if the owners sparked joy in their customers through better presentation.
Love this spot for breakfast on special occasions. Weve ordered from them a lot during Covid. El Cajon Bistro & Bakery delivered the Eggs Benedict and Popeye Omelette and two coffees for breakfast in a timely manner and even included a birthday note for me :) the food was still hot when it arrived
A cute like little joint in El Cajon. They have a crazy large menu with lots of good looking food. I had an egg white La Mesa omelette and my wife had one of their eggs Benedicts. Both came out on huge plates that could have easily been shared of as were both a little smaller. They had great drink options too from regular fountain drinks and juices to self serve tea and coffee or hand crafted coffee and tea. Plus they had different types of smoothies! Theres a good food choice for just about anyone here!
One of the best breakfast I have ever had! Door dash delivery and food and coffee still hot. Spanish omelette home style potatoes and granola pancake were delicious!
Had the asada benedict and my wife had the blueberry pancakes and it was all very good a decent prices. We are in town for a few days and will go back.

I love coming to ECB, delicious healthy food, the place is always clean and the food on time. I order my meal and I have to order Açaí bowl to go for later. Service is very nice.
I order from these guys at least once or twice a week. The food is absolutely delicious. I order from door dash, they always read the notes and my orders are perfect. Love this place!
This is one of the best brunch places in East County San Diego! Definitely my go-to for great brunch food and coffee. The food always tastes great, and looks great too. Ive never ordered a meal here that I didnt enjoy. The servers are also very nice and accommodating.
Dont let the location fool you. After reading some reviews did end up stopping by, definitely glad we did. Wide array of fresh juices, different coffees and some decent breakfast. Did have the eggs Benedict and the chorizo hash. Benedict was okay the hollandiase was incorrect but good. Chorizo hash had good flavor but way too much potatoes, for the price there should have been more chorizo. Some staff more friendly that other and needs to be more clear about get it yourself coffee. Overall good place to stop in for breakfast.
So delicious!!!! I have food restrictions so they made me a burrito with zucchini. Not over salted!! Big plus hard to find a place that doesnt put too much salt in their food. What a Godsend this place is!!Thank you for being a healthy place!!
Terrible food, always find hairs in the food and they never get the order right. The customer service is incredibly bad. They mess up your order, take over 45 minutes to get your food done, their cashiers always have the worst attitude and even though its their fault when they mess up your order they refuse to issue a refund. Will never come here again, find another place to eat.

The quality of the food is terrible! I asked for Mexican chilaquiles, and the sauce, beans, and guacamole tasted like can food. Requested dine-in in advance, and was seated outside alot of files roaming my food. Your food is served in to go containers, so really you pay a tip for no server. This place used to be my favorite breakfast spot, but due to the circumstances will no longer return.
These people are always nice when you walk in and order. Love the customer service always. However, the food is not all that. I’ve came here a lot of times. Sometimes its good and sometimes its really not. Its a hit or miss depending on what you order. Theres lots of options which i enjoy.
This small cozy place is great stop for healthy options. My first visit I was hooked, great food and the staff that helped me was awesome, she was all smiles and very helpful with the menu and my questions. Recomend a visit to this bistro here in el cajon.
The food and smoothies rock and the employees are amazing and friendly! I think one of them is named Guillermo but Im not sure (I saw it on the receipt screen). Hes always smiling and laughing. The young woman with the bright red hair is awesome, too.

This is a little restaurant in El-Cajon that mostly does breakfast and lunch. You order at the counter and food is brought to you. Tried their hamburgers and they were very good sized and very good. They have a great breakfast menu which we have not tried as of yet. The staff was very friendly and the prices were in line for what you got. Very casual setting and I feel worth the effort.

I have lived in El cajon my whole life, when ECB opened it soon became my breakfast/lunch go-to. Its menu is EXTENSIVE and the VALUE and QUALITY are the best in all of SD not just El Cajon!

Food was adequate. Had to wait over 34 minutes after ordering. Everything is SELF SERVE (Might as well have the customer cook their own food).
I stopped in here with an elderly neighbor recently and ordered breakfast. When I entered the bathroom there were drops of urine on floor in front of toilet as well as urine in the toilet bowl. My food was served warm, not hot. I was sick shortly after arriving home. Might try this place once more, just to see if it was the food not being hot. But if the bathroom isnt clean, I will just leave and write another review.

We stopped in El Cajon to tour the Taylor factory on the way to the beach. We looked at restaurant reviews and decided to give this place a chance. Such a great decision! The food was amazing -- much better than what you would get at chain restaurants -- and we cant wait to stop in again, even without the factory tour!

Needed something fresh after a long bike ride. This place was packed at 11am, so clearly popular with the locals. I ordered tomato spinach soup and a salad. They were both fresh, flavorful and satisfying! I was very impressed, and went back for dinner, but they closed at 3pm.
This is a great small place offering breakfast, lunch, and sometimes dinner. They have healthy choices when youre in the mood to eat healthy and they also have some comfort food when youre in the mood for pancakes or waffles. The coffee selection is also great! If you havent been here yet need to try it soon.

Food is always good there. If you like Eggs Benedict you will have several kinds to choose from. You order your food then take a seat and then they will bring your food to your table. You refill your own drinks. Water cooler was broken, they ran out of utensils and didnt get one of our orders correct, but everyone was really nice and friendly and we didnt have to wait very long for out food.

Good food, terrible service .you shouldnt have to ask twice for silverwear after your food had already arrived.when the food arrives they dont come and check if anything is missing. If they did they would have noticed they forgot to bring my coffee. I had to wait for while when no one checked in I had to walk over to the counter and ask for it.. it was cold and worst coffee I have ever had. Want to give this place 2 stars for the food but the service was so bad it had to be one star.
The staff was awesome and very friendly. The juice menu was great. I have never been there before and was very pleasantly surprised with the variety of the menu. We had our food very quickly even though they were busy. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looming for a fresher healthy alternative for breakfast and lunch. There are some small tables outside to eat at as well.

Fantastic food for a good price. Ordered the Ruben with a salad and a Popeye shake. Ruben was a good size for lunch with excellent flavor. I have to say the salad was pretty beefy with loads of freshness and much bigger than side salad. Almost could have been a meal in itself.
