I struggled finding a knowledgeable and honest mechanic to treat my recently purchased, MG Midget 1973. Team took care of the vehicle needs (tune-up, full clutch service/ replace, oil leaking, and more) in a very professional manner. Despite the current challenges to find and ship parts, job was successfully completed in a short time. I strongly recommend their services for older (and newer, of course) European classics. Happy to share a picture of my Yellow Submarine. 🎡🎢

This is certainly The Place To Go for Your Mercedes!! I have been coming here for years after my warranty runs out and this business is EXCELLENT!! Professional staff, extremely helpful, keeps you in the loop on what issues your car has, goes out of their way for minor issues, very reasonable prices as compared to MB dealership triple prices, finest car technicians who are very conscientious and reputable! A 5 Star business all the way!!!

I was inclined to take my business here when I was told by the service manager, Joe Heuel, that they’re able to do a wheel alignment for almost half the cost as Audi San Diego in Miramar. This shop specializes in German cars, so I had no reason to doubt their skill-set and expertise... especially when it came to something as simple as a wheel alignement. I initially went in on 3/7/2021 at 8AM to get the alignement done. Joe told me he’ll have the car done by 1:30-2PM, and that he’ll give me updates via phone calls. I had to call at 1:30PM because I didn’t get any updates from him, only to find out that he has taken my car β€œto lunch.” He called me at 3:20PM, which is over an hour after he initially estimated the car would be done at. I brushed it off, in hopes of getting my car back all done perfectly. I go get my car, pay $169, and Joe goes on to tell me that my car is now pulling as straight as an arrow. Apparently his arrows don’t shoot straight because when I get in my car and drive back to work... People, I am not exaggerating when I say that not only was my car no different.. but it was genuinely worse than when I took it in. I IMMEDIATELY called and Joe said to bring it in on the next day. I took it in again on 3/8/2021 at 8AM. He took my keys and said he’ll be done at around the same time but that he’ll just do the alignment himself this time. I don’t know why I decided to give this business and this man a second chance, but I was feeling generous and hopeful. Maybe they were having a bad day, and I wanted them to have a second chance at fixing this. Anyways so I call at 1:56PM, I get told he’s on lunch. I call again at 3PM, he’s still on lunch. He calls me at around 4PM and tells me my car is ready. I go get it and he’s not available to hand me my keys, some lady does. Dodgy, much? These people LITERALLY did NOT do a single thing. My car STILL pulls to the right (HARD), and my steering wheel is still crooked/off to the left. I called to ask if there are any suspension components that need replacing which might be the culprit to this issue, and I was told no. So why are they unable to align the wheels/steering wheel to how it should be? I don’t understand what they did, if anything at all. I don’t understand why I paid $169 for literally nothing to be done except Joe putting on a total of 18 miles on my car to get his lunch or β€œtesting”, so they call it. PLEASE, for the love of all that’s good in this world, do not go here even for a screw. Not even a sticker. Save yourself some time, money, and headache by going somewhere else. These people here don’t know how to do anything, because they couldn’t even get an alignment done. Lord knows how people could trust them with expensive cars. I will bite the bullet of paying $169 for absolutely nothing done to improve my car, and I’ll say that at least now I know that this is a shop to AVOID at all cost. Also, referring back to him saying that he’ll just do it himself (when I returned the second time): I found out that they actually take cars to be aligned somewhere else at a different shop. Why wasn’t I just instructed to go there in the first place? You really focus on the little amount of money that you make when taking cars in to be aligned then paying very little to take them to these third party alignment shops that you guys have a deal with? That’s just shady, and screams volumes about how little you guys care about people and how much you guys care about money. So to this business: thanks, but no thanks.P.s. they only wear masks outside, not inside (shop or office). LOL and people wonder why cases keep going up in Cali. Ha!

I have been taking my cars to Autohaus Stebel for over seven years. First with my Mercedes which got wiped out by someone taking a corner a 80 Mph in front of my house and now Autohaus Stebel is taking care of my VW Jetta. Excellent shop, excellent crew, excellent office staff and excellent owner Joe. I recommend this shop to anyone that has a European automobile.
