Just want to thank Chris for the best customer service anyone can expect. I called about a flexsteel recliner we had bought about 2 years ago and the power motor just quit. He sent a repair person out the same day to check it out.He said a wire in motor shorted out and would have to talk to Chris about getting a new motor. The next day repair man came out replaced motor. WOW great service

We had a wonderful experience at Kettle River furniture this weekend. My husband and I have been searching for a couple of comfortable chairs. We have been to most area furniture stores. Either their stock was very low, the quality was very low or the prices were out of our modest range.Kettle River had a great variety of chairs in a desent range of prices. Pat was incredibly helpful showing us around and checking stock in the warehouse across the street.We ended up taking home two very high quality chairs and could not be happier.Thank you Kettle River!

Good rep, BAD rep.. We started looking for some furniture and found this to be a top option, so we popped in the next day. We had ideas of what we wanted, and our first rep Steven caught right onto that. We all talked casually, pitched ideas back and forth and had a good shopping experience. Unfortunately, we came back to purchase and had to settle with someone who was quite the opposite. When Laurie walked up to us, she had that sales pitch ready and she played it. Incredibly helpful staff and with a wonderful selection of high quality furniture. Delivery costs were less than most places and all their prices were fair for the quality youre getting especially with the Flexsteel brand. Lisa A. was so very patient (we were very indecisive!) and helpful in getting us the right set.Love that the place is family owned and worth the extra drive from South County St. Louis.

Would give them zero for customer service! They will not take old furniture because of covid. What a dumb excuse not to take old furniture. Spend 3 times as much as anywhere else and doesnt even take away the old furniture. Save your money shop somewhere else! Will not come back to this overpriced dump!

Upscale furniture with really great customization options. The attendants hover too closely, but are pleasant to talk to. The financing options are 6 months and 12 months with a third down which is a huge downside for an upscale furniture store.

After a 6 month fiasco trying to get a couch and two chairs with the most awful customer service in history at Ashley furniture we went to kettle river today. We worked with Steven Johnson who was absolutely wonderful very helpful and great to work with. Within under an hour we purchased a couch and two chairs that will be delivered in three days. Comparing this experience to over six months of waiting, lies and horrible service from the chain competitor.The furniture may be a little more expensive but of much higher quality. Their kindness and great service has earned future business. I will send everyone i know to them. Do yourself a favor and shop a local business that cares about their customers.

I have bought a lot of Furniture from Kettle River in the last two years. Everyone is friendly but I simply love Stacey. She is super knowledgeable and always goes the extra mile to make sure we are happy. I price everything before I buy it and they are more than likely to beat competitor pricing. The delivery guys have always been nice and do a great job

Very disappointing. Called about very specific pieces of furniture to make sure tgey had. Was told they did have. Drove over an hour to find they did not have. When i got there i asked where the chair was and sales person wanted to show me the matching couch. Then said lets go back here where all recliners are. We get all the way back there and ONLY THEN did he tell me they did not have one of the 4 chairs I said I was interested in. REALLY? I cant stand it when a salesperson isnt honest from the get go. And why does their website not tell you what is pictured is not in the store??? Never again.

We ordered a custom sectional mid July and the experience in store was wonderful. The staff was kind, professional, and attentive. She helped us find exactly what we wanted and quickly understood our preferences. Since we ordered a custom peice, we were told it would be delivered in 8-12 weeks, but oftentimes it does come sooner. I called a month ago and asked if there were any updates, and the staff was very rude over the phone. They stated that we just placed the order six weeks ago and that it wasnt ready yet but they told us that it should be mid to late October. I called again today to see if there were any updates, and once again the staff was very rude. She stated over the phone she just gave us an update last time we called, which was only a month ago, and that it was still slated for a late October delivery. A late October delivery is a 13-14 week delivery time, not 8-12 weeks. Its been 10 and 1/2 weeks since we paid for the couch, and we still do not have a definite delivery date, and the two times I have called for an update the staff have acted as though calling for an update is excessive behavior from a customer.

Nice place to shop with friendly service. Seem to have sales throughput the year. We have bought almost all our furniture there. Items seem to last longer because they handle name brands. I would also recommend the massage chairs that they sell.

Kettle River Furniture is a great store. Good quality. Nice selection. Awesome sales staff. And close to home if you live in the Metro East. No reason to drive to St. Louis is you want to shop for furniture. We have recently purchased 2 rooms of furniture and couldn’t be happier.

We came in there after a visit to a different furniture store. We were browsing recliners. Received excellent service and very happy with the overall experience. Ended up purchasing a powered recliner. Our salesperson was not pushy and very knowledgeable about the furniture. Also received an amazing deal. Will definitely be returning to this location for all of our family furniture purchases in the future.

We purchased a great Flexsteel reclining sofa here. The price point was competitive and the service was excellent. The associate was very knowledgeable and helped us find exactly the couch that fit our needs and price point. Delivery was prompt and effective. Loved our experience.

We made a fairly significant purchase of a bedroom set from Kettle River. One piece had to be back ordered but they delivered the balance. One night stand delivered had been repaired so they told us they would bring a new one with the back order item. When the back order item was delivered along with the new night stand, we noticed the jewelry area was missing two felt ring holders. Both were obviously missing and it was obvious they had never check before delivering. We were told they would order them to be shipped to us. a few weeks later I had to contact them as wed not received the pieces. A few days later one showed up. The packing slip showed 2 but only one was sent. So we contacted them again and, again, we told they would order one in. To date, weve not seen the missing item or had any contact from Kettle River. Its not a major piece, but the entire episode makes me question their supply chain, quality control and customer service post sale. We could have purchased in STL closer to our home. Maybe we next time we will.

I worked with Mary at Kettle River. She was extremely patient with me and kind. She helped me pick out the couch and chair that would best suit my new apartment. I had given my old furniture away due to getting engaged and moving from St. Louis to Illinois. When the engagement broke off I was left in a tight spot, needing to get things together quickly. I had a very positive experience with Kettle River Furniture. There was a lot of fantastic merchandise to browse and I discovered a great deal during the President’s Day Sale. I was able to set up delivery and payment with ease. Pat Hazen, the rep I worked with, was friendly, helpful and explained all the details. The delivery guys were professional and skilled - they even were able to haul away my old sofa sleeper. Overall, it was a 5-Star experience.

We had been to many places to fine the right recliner with out much success to find the right chair for me. We saw an add in the paper and called them up. They said we would find the correct chair on the first visit. We Did!! Great customer service. I would recommend them. There prices are reasonable.

Our family of 4 walked in wanting a reclining sofa. They helped us find exactly what we wanted and were even able to customize the color to what we all agreed on. With the couch, color, warranty and delivery still kept us WAY below gallery pricing. When we were done with the couch we walked around and looked at end tables, bedroom furniture, and tv stands. Not once did we feel pressured to buy anything or make additional purchases. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend!

We just bought a living room set from them and were extremely impressed by the entire process. Their delivery staff was exceptionally good and very flexible but the sales person was awesome as well. Well by all of our furniture from them going forward.

My husband & I were on the market for 2 chairs. When we went to Kettle River, our intention was these 2 chairs only. Well this fun lady named Ms. Mary approached us with a fantastic smile. We shared our needs & wants. She showed every chair that she felt would fit our needs, even some that we spotted, she gave all information on said chair. She personally knows her business. I inquired about fabric colors & the options they offer was amazing. When we left, lol... Remember we were looking for 2 chairs... We had ordered 3 chairs [ 2 grey & 1 cranberry. ] ( no sales pressure at all...I talked my husband into the 3rd chair all by myself) and a new small kitchen table & 2 chairs (odd size was fulfilled). I have been extremely busy with work & was anxious to finally sit in the new chairs. (I didnt sit in the chairs at the store, but because the kitchen table & chairs was my plan I totally sat on it at the store). I was able to order the exact color I wanted, we are remodeling our kitchen. The color palette is now changed to match the awesome table. It was delivered earlier than predicted, and its perfect. I finally got to see my new furniture in my home late last night. I did sit in all 3 chairs last night, if only for a minute each. To say I am in love is an under statement. I could never thank Ms. Mary enough for her patience, understanding & when choosing fabric, her guidance was spot on. These people are the typical, do anything, say anything and lie, lie, lie to get a sale type company. I will never do business with them again under any circumstances and I would advise you to never do business with them either. They have no ethics and no integrity as a place of business. They will be more than happy to take your hard earned money and then not deliver on anything they promise you. PATHETIC AND SAD is how I would describe Kettle River Furniture!

February 25th 2016 I came in the kettle River furniture talk to the associate that assisted me about getting a new bed I filled out the financial report and knowing that my credit was bad I thought the company weve been able to help me out be a local company in Edwardsville Illinois I spoke with a gentleman named Tim when I had spoke to him and asked him for a little help of pay the mattress and box spring off directly to Kettle River furniture be gentleman named Tim tell me that he would never do anything like that and I told him I had a disability and I will pay it monthly he told me to go to the goodwill and get a used nasty mattress and box spring and he would not help me out financially to make the Direct payments to Kettle River furniture I would never never never walk back in the Kettle River furniture again for the disrespect the staff has for their local customers they expect to have customers treating people like this

These other reviewers mustve caught them on a bad day if their reviews are true. Im in my late 20s and am always bumming it on the weekends. Every time Ive gone to Kettle River Ive been in a hoodie and jeans. I was greeted at the door each time with a friendly/helpful sales associate. They answered all my questions and werent too pushy. They have a great selection of quality furniture and their price isnt bad either. I found a couch I liked at the La-z-boy store and went to Kettle River to see if they had anything since the couch I had found at la-z-boy was ridiculously expensive. The salesman at Kettle River told me they were an authorized La-z-boy dealer and said he could order the couch for me. He went to the back to price it out for me. The price he came back with was $600 lower than what the la-z-boy store was selling it for! Both times after my purchase I received a thank you card in the mail from my salesman. That was a nice touch. Everything about my experience buying from this place was great. Even their delivery guys are better than average. Both times they have delivered stuff they updated me on what time they were gonna be there and were there at the beginning of the time slot. The first delivery they actually called me and said they made it to my house a little early and asked if it was ok that they deliver the furniture then. I just went back to Kettle River this weekend to look for some chairs and I plan on making all my furniture purchases from them in the future.

Sucks, overpriced.Need to elaborate... One thing I dont like is pushy salespeople, and man are they pushy. We were looking for a loveseat and sofa, saw one we liked, a lazyboy set and the sofa was on sale. But she kept on trying sell us on a much higher priced leather set, I said no at least 4 times (I hate leather). Said she could get it in different material, but would take a month, nope. Finally got sick of the badgering and decided to leave, she literally blocked our exit and told us we werent gonna find better deals anywhere else.WRONG!!! Lazyboy Store had the exact same lazyboy set for 200$ less AND it wasnt on sale!But heres the kicker, Kloss had almost the exact same sofa set as the one she was trying to force on us, except it wasnt leather, for less than half the price. And had comparable leather sets for far less as well.Pushy people suck and so do inflated prices.

I was given a date and time for mattress and box springs delivery. Nobody showed up, and nobody called on the designated delivery date. I was given the standard runaround that the shipment was just received. Then why didnt you call me to tell me the date would change?????

Our experience of ordering couches through Kettle River has been very frustrating. We ordered the couches the first week of September (Labor Day weekend). They’ve continued to be on back order and lost in shipment. I was just told the last piece won’t be in until the end of January. Regardless of the reasoning behind the delay, 5 months is way to long wait to wait for furniture.

Me and the husband came to kettle river because they sell nice good furniture and im actully very happy with my new furniture but that dose not excuse the problems we had. First Dont expect to get ur furniture on time or remotely close to the time they say. On that note me and the hubs ordered our sectional on Dec 13th and we just recived it March 14th. Thats 14weeks if u want to know. So the bad experience started actully with the lady that sold us the furniture she gave us a price for the couch and we agreed that it would work, a little over what we wanted to spend but we really like the couch. We had to come back to fill out the forms and sign the paper work and to my suprise the price she gave me was 200 higher than the day befor i asked why she said tax and another on top of the 200 for delivery. I was confused why u wpuld go in the back figure up numbers to not include tax. When i told her i was unhappy she treated me like a child. I almost walked out but the husband told me he wanted this couch so we paid the extra money. Now in feb i call since she gave me a time frame of 6 to 10 weeks. And it was the 10th week and have not hurd anything when i talk to them they were very rude and said by the end of feb i then asked why? And she said that i didnt order it till Dec 30th i then told her no and she made excuse that its a ruff time frame and it would be in. Now end of feb i call again still no couch.. I tell them im displeased they dont care they were rude again so i asked to speak to the superviser and he was just as rude but did offer free shipping and said the couch would be in by the secound week of march so i agreed again and Secound week arived no phone call so i drove up there and they were even ruder than befor so i said to cancel my order i was done with this non since. Well after once again taking to me they said it would be there next week and it was but i wont ever duo business again with these rude stuck up company. If u could here the way they talk to there customers then u would understand to not waste ur money at this place. U can get the same furniture ordered from better companys.
