I went to a lot of stores in the area to buy Indian clothes for a wedding, and was stressed out by the attitude and lack of attention I received from the staff. By the time I got to Daminis, it was closing hours but the staff here was courteous and helpful. She showed me options for my need, made recommendations and helped select and purchase something I was really happy with.I really appreciated how well-lit the store is, and that the racks have some order to them — very unlike the “boutiques” in the area. Prices are expensive but still relatively lower than other shops in the area.

I went to buy a cover. The cost $900 very high price. Went home when I went to put it on with a sweater next day it was too small before I went out of the door three button fell off. I realize that was very bad quality. Went to return it and they say they do not return. The have in very small letter on the credit card we not return. I believe this is miss leading the customer. Do your self a favor and ask your friend to buy something directly from India it will cost you ten time less.

Had a great experience shopping at Daminis. There was an error but they took care of it right away. It shows how honest they are and doing right by their customers.

When you walk in it actually looks like it would be a great luxury store for indian dresses . Unfortunately I was so turned off by the customer service there. The lady working there really needs to get better training because I was disgusted by her attitude . First when my mom asked about a skirt she looked at my mom like what size and then my mom had to be like “ don’t worry it’s got my daughter” Then when I asked her nicely about other options of a dress I saw online, barely looking at the picture she pointed and said don’t have it . Mind you we just saw the same style in the store, but we’re looking for more options . She ran off so rudely and was like oh maybe there’s a scarf there . Please work on the customer service . Would never come or recommend this place to anyone and I came from NY !!

Daminis has a great collection of clothes, and their employees were very helpful as well. I am going with 3 stars only because of the owners attitude. She was extremely rude to her staff and made several condescending remarks to us for no reason whatsoever.

My soon to be mother in law was just there shopping for my wedding in a week. While she was on the phone with me, I heard the owner of the store telling her not to touch anything with a super rude tone. She clearly does not know how to interact with her customers... they eventually left the store because of her rudeness but went back since they had something they liked and we needed to pick something up for the wedding. When they went back, she crossed the line by telling them with again a condescending tone - “Oh, you guys are back huh?” Please don’t encourage this kind of behavior, go support people who are worth your business.

I actually thought this store would be great for indian clothing collection but it was disappointing with the prices depending on clothes. I did not find good collection compared to the prices.Customer service was horrible. Especially this lady she was being very rude and not cooperative at all. She was one of the employees there and treat us horribly until the owner showed up.No bargaining and price cut infact they did for the customer before us.This place is very costly compared to other stores nearby in the area.

Oh my lord... my parents just came back shopping from this place and told me about the worst customer service that they have ever endured; borderline abusive in my opinion. The so called “owner” of the store thinks that she is superior to her customers which is a big no no.

Good collection of Indian clothes for women.

All the previous reviews that mention rudeness of staff is legit. They judge you the moment you walk in. Before asking what our budget even was they had to mention we couldnt afford pure silk saaris. They have somewhat decent collection but people are rude af! Dont listen to what your requirements are, dont try to understand a concept based in photo you show them and rather reply to you by saying that you can bring photos from google but wont want to pay the price. Like dude, did you even ask us before saying that?Also the disrespectful nature goes to next level when you are looking at a piece of cloth and they push you aside because they want to boast about it to another customer? unreal and painful place to have visited. Please avoid going here at all costs.

One of the best Indian clothing store in North Jersey. I was looking something unique for my daughters wedding. I checked several store before coming to DAMINIS. I visited this store with my family. Once I entered the store eye catching look of store presentation caught my heart. Their staff is very helpful and courteous, welcoming. Staff of DAMINIS got involved in selecting of dresses according to our desire. They have a good collection of wedding, and party dresses. Luckily store owner Amita Singh was also present. When she got to know that it is a shopping for wedding. She herself got involved in our shopping experience. I would definitely recommend this store for any type of formal or informal shopping. Prices are reasonable and I would definitely recommend and will go back again for my familys future shopping.

This place might have some good dresses but the customer service is HORRIBLE. I dont recommend this place to anyone. They refused to acknowledge me until I had found what I wanted and was about to buy it. NEVER come here. The staff was also very passive aggressive about everything.

They have very good collections of all the dresses and some jewelry as well. But they don’t have the exchange or return policy in case if we don’t like the item. So make sure you go on to the store on time and make decision and then buy.

I went inside the store to inquire about a dress i saw online.Owner(lady) was not wearing a mask the entire time. Her 1 employee wore mask below her nose. Plus they were rude.We will not be visiting again unless we see this store following precautions.

Hands down the best South Asian boutique in the neighborhood. The staff is friendly and highly accommodating. A little bit on the pricey side but quality doesn’t come cheap. Was at Damini store, Edison, 06/23/2019. The sales representative had least knowledge on how to deal with customers and was very rude, insulting & impudent. While we were still standing there, she started discussing our issues with other customers over there and was mocking at us. Would never step inside this store again.Store manager or owner should realize, that if you want to attract customers, you need to employ representatives with at least better customer relationship knowledge.

Bought a few mens wear item from this shop, as well as kids wear. They keep a nice collection throughout the year. Besides, the staff is very helpful and professional.

The pro is the store has good variety of latest designs. The cons are that it’s expensive and the ladies working there can be rude. I am slightly overweight and couldn’t fit into majority of their dresses which were standard size. When I asked why they don’t have more options for girls that are heavier or why don’t they leave margin room inside their outfits to open them up (since this company designs all their own stuff) - the lady told me all of our customers that visit us are skinny. A bit of rude start to my shopping day.

My sister and mom recently bought dresses for some of my wedding events at Daminis. Although the store is very nice and clean, most of the dresses are overpriced and prices are fixed. We found couple dresses that fit our budget. Other than that, the service is excellent. My only complaint would be that there is no restroom for customers, and we had to use the Indian cafes bathroom a few stores down while we were shopping for over 2.5 hours!

I have been to many stores in Edison looking for ethnic wear but never liked a single outfit because of the usual in your face gaudy sequence and stone work. This store has very classy and elegant collection. Resaonably priced too. Just bought a kurta pajama for my infant son. Will go there again for all my festive shopping even if we have to drive more than an hour to get there. No complaints with customer service whatsoever.

I gifted a beautiful peach and pink colored gown to my niece and she loves to flaunt it before everyone.

I recently found this store in Edison while I was just looking for a daily wear suit. I went inside and found sooo much variety. And the variety is different and classy. I ended up buying probably 10 11 suits for certain occasions I have to attend in India. I met the owner the first time on my last visit to the store and it was a pleasure to meet her. She gave me the just the right suggestion any good owner would give. She is different and has the right approach towards her customers and her employees. I almost took my whole family there to buy stuff as its always a pleasure spending time at there store. I would highly recommend there store for Indian wear.
