I had a great experience here! I was helped by Chelsea and she was so nice and recommended products that were perfect for me without being pushy. She understood exactly what I was looking for and helped me find what I needed very quickly and efficiently!
I love this place. They are so helpful. I wish covid didnt happen. They cancelled the classes. A beautiful MELONATED woman assisted me. Her name escapes me ( Ciara? 🤷🏾♀️) She was awesome.
This was my second time going inside that store. Everyone was very polite. Great customer service. Every one was polite and courteous.
VIB Member.. I use to frequent NY Manhattan, Short Hills NJ, and Bridgewater location. All excellent locations- staff is friendly and knowledgable- I grew to love Sephora’s.Menlo Mall Sephora location use to be my go to spot. I can hit B&N Sephora, Nordstrom, Apple, ect.. or vice versa. Just a great location. I can not stress enough that I love the location.Unfortunately- Sephora has been removed from my line up. Staff follow me around the store. I don’t mind the company but be useful. Show some enthusiasm or kindness. I have left frustrated several times because I was not helped ONCE- just monitored as if I was a thief. This happened to me so often that I won’t visit Sephora at Menlo.Pat McGrath make up line is sold at Sephora’s. It is so frustrating because I have to order off line or visit another mall when I am right there- i I refuse to have my mood messed up due to ignorance so I just pass Sephora BYE
Sephora started off great and has been super disappointing lately. They have shown no understanding or empathy during the pandemic whereas almost every other brand has. I have been a rogue member for a few years now so clearly I do shop there and keep the products that work for me. But if I am trying to return a mask during the pandemic where I am not rushing to go to the mall or post office to mail it out.. maybe be a little bit more understanding..?But no. management is rude, esp. at the Menlo location. staff is indifferent. There is no response from corporate when you try to escalate the scenario so at this point I will use up my points and no longer shop at Sephora. and for all of you that still do - there are other places to buy beauty products that are more deserving of your attention as a consumer:]
I’ve been coming to this store for almost two years and I’ll tell you this is the only Sephora location i shop at. It’s organized, clean, multiple vendor selections, lots of options for travel size products.During covid they were very strict with limiting people in the store, all of the testers were off limits to customers. The store was exceptionally organized. The core reason why i continue to come to this store is because of one associate named Demi. She’s been exceptional. She’s always on point, always friendly with a smile on, she’s reliable, resourceful and has a lot of product knowledge. If only every associate would have a brain like hers! I promise she’s been my go to- my makeup and skin care guru. I’m so grateful for her.
Wonderful shop with very friendly and helpful staff like Diane
Everybody was very helpful, but there was a line to get in. It was on a Sunday afternoon so may be it was the busiest time of the week
The only good Sophora thats good in my area is the one in Menlo Park Mall the others dont have a good selection
Less staff but got a good one.
Placed order online, when went to store, went right to register for pickup and payment. Super fast. All staff had masks and the number of customers was limited. Good shopping experience 👍
Sephora is a fun place to shop and the sales people are very helpful. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that the line to get in was long and so was the check out line.
Great customer service!
I recently came here to buy some products from the Rare Beauty Collection. When I came in I was greeted and provided with hand sanitizer. It seems like the store is doing a great job of keeping up with current CDC guidelines. The ladies were very nice and helped me pick out the perfect foundation shade.
Very nice clean people keeping their distance. I shop here at least once or twice a month.
Great service, and no pressure. I found and bought a foundation I am satisfied with!
Get branded, sensitive products
So I felt I was treated differently without my makeup on: they tend to assume you are not a potential customer. I’m actually a Rouge but was told I could not have the benefit b/c I was a insider. I don’t get why but kinda done with Sephora doing this way.
I wanted to write this review because the help I received from the all the staff but great but especially the employee MJ. She was outstanding. I came in with a problem and she found me the perfect products really quick and I was amazed at the end result. She was also super nice and friendly.
The sales associates were extremely helpful and pleasant
Best place for quality products! They also have some holiday discounts sale where you can get products for better price! ❤
Excellent service
Great customer service. Wierd during quarantine. You can only buy wherever you know, no way to try. So just order samples online.
Rich collection, very helpful and friendly staff.
Very nice associates
Went to this store location to browse for some items I saw in a tutorial on YouTube. Due to COVID a lady was at the door asking everyone a million questions before they entered and because I couldn’t tell her exactly the product and color I wanted she suggested I say outside since I wasn’t going to purchase anything specific. Now yes I was frustrated why should I have to tell the lady at the door along with everyone in the line what I’m coming to purchase it’s no ones business at this point I just waited outside and took my $150 purchase else where. Find a better system. This one comes across as judge mental. Even if I didn’t have something specific in mind I know I wanted cosmetics or else I wouldn’t have waited in line to get in.
They have great deals here for the holidays. Come by and shop around to check out some of the deals yourself. You might even end up grabbing yourself something. Ask about the sample deal they have, which I think is the best one of them all. A bunch of samples and the person chooses which cologne or perfume they want so youll never get it wrong.
Great products and helpful workers!
Very safe to visit Sephora, Menlo Park. They practice social distance and don’t let customers to open packages to try out on their own
This is the closest Sephora for me and i wish the register can improve customer service as the lady there is not much very friendly. Not even letting you know about your points And not even happy while taking your makeup purchase. However, the makeup assistants are very helpful
Was giving a shade that doesn’t match my face, I told the lady it look darker, now I’m out of $50
Very good
This store is dirty. Took passing 4 employees for one to ask if I needed help. She was nice and helped me find a gift that was reasonably priced as the sale price. Would never buy it at full price. Then, I was passed off, but a direct pass off, to another employee before my requests were finished. Finished the requests with the second employee. The products I bought say “MADE IN CHINA.” The people are nice. Why does no one do their make up like someone who works at a store with everything you could want for a make up or beauty? Makes me doubt the product. Haven’t been to Sephora in easily 12+ years, and I now recall why I didn’t return; over priced made in China make up and not an enjoyable shopping experience.
The service here is absolutely amazing! Everyone is friendly, bubbly, and eager to assist you. I was fortunate enough to have Sephora do my makeup on my Big Day- my wedding and they did an amazing job. Heather set everything up for me, Diane selected my makeup beautifully and Brittany styled my sisters face to the point where she was in the photo booth all night taking pictures.I cant thank them enough for doing such a wonderful job, they truly exceeded my expectations.
Absolutely brilliant location - very well stocked and brilliant staff. They were extremely helpful in finding what I needed, and I got shade matched by an absolutely lovely lady (I can’t remember any names unfortunately), but she was extremely diligent in making sure the foundation matched. When we discovered one of the foundations I was looking for was no longer stocked here, the girl working with me checked online for me! The store was clean, well lit, and bustling with with people, yet the employees were plentiful and making sure everyone was okay. None of them tried to push any products on to you, which I really appreciated - fast checkout, too! I would recommend this location before any other!
Mary was awesome. After getting disappointed from JCPENNEY. Mary made my day better with finding me the stuff I wanted. This place is awesome
Tiffany was such a help. Just amazing. Her recommendations were so helpful, I see a major improvement in my skin with the budget friendly items she suggested. Thanks a bunch!
I was greeted and offered assistance ! Kelly was sweet and I will be back for her . I would love to see more brands coming in! Love Sephora so much!
Staff super helpful and friendly
I visited the store today and had a great experience w/Kelly. She was kind, helpful and sweet. When you visit ask for Kelly. :-)
They gave me the wrong shade of foundation! I don’t understand if you get color matched in store shouldn’t the color be correct? Other than that I love Sephora
I wish they had lower stars here for me to give a negative zero. This was my first time here at this Sephora and I felt the need to leave a review because one of their workers TRACY to be extact was very very rude and unprofessional so rude and unprofessional that I had to address her and call the manger before leaving the store. And from reading previous reviews I can see that this had happen before to other customers. Me and my friend entered the store and was looking for help, when we couldn’t get any I called out for some help and it just so happen to be TRACY and another worker, TRACY I’m guessing thought I was too loud for her liking and walked over me to help but my friend walked off so she proceeds to say I guess she found what she wanted and left. Long story short we got help but on my way out the story TRACY made it her business to be at the exit so I could hear her tlk about me to her coworker about how loud I was, when confronted by my friend she tld my friend I scared her so I confronted her and asked her wat extacly did she mean when she made the comment about being scrared. I was a customer that wanted help and was treated and talked about rudely by TRACY all because I asked for help and my tone of voice as a black person came off loud and strong for her liking. This store will never get my money ever again. Thanks to the manger Samantha for listening to my concern and I hope Tracy is reprimanded for her behavior and lack of customer service.
I went to go return some items yesterday and I overheard one of the co-workers talking about me to a manager— “she brought like an entire bag of stuff to return.” Extremely unprofessional and rude. At least Wait until your customers leave before you talk about them. I believe I’m talking about the same white lady that a lot of the other comments are speaking about...don’t go to this Sephora they all kind of have a stick up their ass.
My a time favorite place to shop for all my cosmetic needs. The atmosphere is friendly and the skin care specialist, & cosmetologist are always there to help...when you need it.
This Sephora close to my home but I don’t like to go there . The ladies who work there most of them not helpful very rude all the time. I don’t want to go there anymore.
Went there the other day with my friend because he wanted to check out the fenty products as well as some of the fragrances. He was asked if he needed help about every 2 minutes and followed around the store the entire time like we (even though they only addressed him the entire time) were shoplifters. When we were checking out fragrances (which is located in the back corner) we were surrounded at all angles constantly being watch- legit this one girl was just STARING at my friend and I looked at her weird so she asked if he needed help. Y’all need to quit your racist antics because all the other beauty stores sell the same products and I’ll gladly spend my money elsewhere than have my friend treated like a criminal for testing products.
VERY long wait just for samples but workers were very considerate in swapping put my samples for items more suited for my skin :)
The women and men here are so sweet and extremely helpful even if the place is jam packed. Probably my favorite sephora to visit!
Love to shop for makeup and skincare at this location, always well stocked, customer service is awesome
I Loved this store... They have an awesome variety of make up accessories and fragrences. Also at a very affordable price,,,
Helpful staff i know nothing about beauty and sephora made my experience very easy
Always a good experience. Satisfied customer.
The workers here are nasty and rude. Me and my friends were looking around and they were glaring at us as if we were stealing something. I picked something up and the worker stared directly at me and spoke into her walkie talkie. I have never felt so disrespected and unwanted at a Sephora in my life. Definitely the last of me they will be seeing, do not recommend coming to this store.
Friendly and helpful staff most of time
Bought good products and got a complimentary facial!
Always have enough people to take care if you
I just want price match, because I shopping a lot 7 days ago, but after I know I have 20%off . But they before ok,but after asked a girl come, she said no receipt can’t do anything,I said u can check my account, but she said can’t !!!!!!have to bring the receipt. I said is first time telling me have receipt! Almost 5 years already keep shopping in Sephora and always have wonderful service, but today, the white girl, gold long hair one talking not nice, she maybe is manager, the cashier it’s good, nice . But not that one ! Sometime if u can’t do price match u can saying nicely, not give me that bad face . People understanding, just don’t show a bad face . .5 years already,It’s my first time complaint Sephora .Very very disappointed . In my mind Sephora is a great company, I hope don’t do any bad face to Asian.
Excellent stock and nice staff but the employee was unable to match me to my correct shade yet alone correct undertone even though I kept telling her the shade was off.
Good service... makes u spend money
Nice go to for beautiful beauty products.
Poor customer service need improvement in how to treat customers specially when store is not even busy ....
I dont really like going to sephora because every time I do I get asked a million times if I need help and usually by the same people, I have worked retail before and I know it means they think I will shoplift.
Yesterday was My first time going to get my makeup done and I LOVED IT!Kat, my makeup artist, was amazing!! Before she started she asked me what I like and dont like and then helped me figure out what would look best on me. I wasnt nervous or worried. She did an amazing job. I was so comfortable with her and happy with the results that I made sure to have her as my artist again for my next appointment. I would definitely go back to sephora because of Kat.
Came here after a horrible experience at Sephora in Freehold Mall. WAY better experience and this store was twice as busy as the other. Jamie helped me with the products I came in for and took her time to help me. I would recommend this Sephora the staff here are friendly, knowledgable, and attentive.
Phenomenal customer service! Awesome experience! Very special thanks to Brittney the one with the buns and the reason Im writing this review. I went to Sephora to get a gift card for my wifes birthday than decided that wasnt thoughtful enough. So I attempted to pick out a few things! Sheesh wth was I thinking! I was beyond lost! Brittney noticed my struggle and asked me if I needed help! I explained my situation and showed her a few pictures of my wife. Just from the pictures she knew what shade of everything I needed. Before I knew it we were picking foundations, concealers, setting powders, bronzers, highlighters etc. ask me how I know this? Because she was like a walking makeup wikipidia! She even schooled me with enough knowledge to impress my wife! Thanks again Britt! You were awesome!P.s. The wife loved everything!
Great place can be in their for hours
I’ve shopped with Sephora for the past 13 years. I’ve even worked at 2 locations. Now I waltz into this store not being funny but my coat cost more than everyone’s paycheck. I hear 3 white women speaking watch her and watch her closely. The girl they told this too had a seasonal shirt on. No one greeted me they watched me. A licensed esthetician with cash debit &credit card. I could only laugh! I buy my 1 item leave go to Sephora jc penny and purchase several items and had an awesome experience with those lovely ladies. See! Next day I go to return the 1 item I bought. The same old racist white lady, w short platinum hair & nasty attitude walks up to me while I’m speaking with another employee. This animal literally coughs in my face. I just lost my Nana to pneumonia. I walked out furious! The only reason why I did not choke her out is because I would not have let go. That is some nasty disrespectful type of action. Now I can’t say I won’t throw water juice or soda at her while walking in the mall. Because the level of disrespect she displayed to me I can only treat her like the trash she displayed. And if Sephora keeps this racist loser as an employee. I can attest no one I know will shop there ever again. I’ll go on every radio station. How the company who made me work on thanksgiving and I lose my grandparents the following week. Not even call! But can cough in my face. Yeah that’s classic!
I was standing in the store one time for about 15 minutes and not one person asked if I needed assistance. Yes, I understand this store gets busy but the employee to customer ratio was more than efficient for someone to have at least ASKED if I needed help. Also, I visited there during the holiday season and this one employee named Destiny, I wont use the word Id like to use as it is inappropriate but she was just so nasty and rude. She had this attitude as if she was better than me. I wanted to keep it professional even though it was HER workplace, but trust me. Had this altercation happened somewhere else like outside I wouldve let her have it. She was on the shorter side, had brunette hair with blonde highlights, and the day we encountered each other it was styled in a half up, half down do. I realized she was only seasonal when I visited the store a few times in the sprig and never saw her again but if she were to come back I may just have to speak to her manager. I gave a two star rating because although I seem to have a lot of bad experiences in this specific location I still like Sephora overall. Woodbridge Mall has a Sephora inside their JCPenneys. Much better customer service if anybody is interested.
This Sephora store sucks.Ihad two bad experience there.the first time I went in to get my foundation shade matched,I chose the right shade but the makeup artist packed the wrong shade. The second time the billing person billed me for three products and packed only two.As a vib member I am for sure not going to shop there
Always friendly staff at Menlo mall.
Lirra Is the best make up artist.
Visited yesterday for Beauty consultation - I wanted something organic and more natural make up. Beautician recommended Tarte makeup and started applying layers and layers of make up on my face. At the end - I looked like a white ghost. I ended up buying three items of everything she applied on me but I am very unhappy as I washed my face with deep cleanser and even used eye make up remover like 5 times but the mascara has smudged and its all around my eyes. Worst Sephora experience ever. Not sure how the cosmetics will turn out - all I wanted was a simple make over with natural/organic makeup. I Dont recommend this store. And as for the Tarte Make up - I will be leaving separate review after a month of use to see if its actually worth it.
Tons of selections and very helpful staff.
As soon as I walked in I was greeted and was ask if I needed any assitance. Friendly staff especially Anisa. She helped me find the right foundation and knew alot about the products.
My experience with this store is positive. I returned a NARS luminous foundation 90 days after I purchased it with no receipt. I called beforehand and asked if it was ok to return and the girl was very nice and said yes as long as I had half or more of the product which I did. So I went and the girl at the register returned my cash for the foundation. She was able to find my purchase with my beauty rewards email thats why she gave me my cash refund and not a store credit. She didnt give me any attitude or make me feel uncomfortable for returning it. Then another girl asked if she can assist me with anything (wish I could remember their names) and I told her I had a pore problem. She showed me what product would really help out. It cost $68. I asked for a sample and she had no problem giving it to me and she also gave me dr Brandts sample. All in all I would return to this sephoras and recommend others to try it out too.
I never have any time to write these reviews and honestly I do not know if it makes any difference or not, but I just had to make people aware of the kind of customer service you may encounter when visiting this store. One employee, Jared, has the nastiest attitude and is always in a bad mood. If I were his manager, i would have reprimanded him. The management of this store is extremely dysfunctional. They are not organized. Terrible customer service especially with Jared.
Rebecca is awesome!! ❤❤❤
Nice 👌
Last night we were at this store location. I got to tell you the employees are just running around acting like they are all busy. My wife needed help and we waited to be help. While my wife was on her own looking for product, i saw this employee passing by me so i asked him if he could help my wife. He went to my wife and quickly gave her what she need. When my wife asked another question, he flipped and told her that he is with another customer and he will help her when he is done. I watched him to see which client he helps, he goes over to the corner and ask quietly to an old lady if she need any help, she does ask him something and he gives her what she needed. After that he goes to the other corner and acting like he is fixing things and thats when he saw another employee and he ask that employee if she can help her. I saw what he did so he was passing by me and i politely told him that he should have told us that he is helping another client. He then put his hand on my shoulder touching me and explaining to me. I got agitated and stood up since he put his hand on me and just didnt want to hear him since he TOUCHED ME! Thats a sexual harassment. I didnt allow him to touch me and he has NO RIGHT to touch me. When i walked away, he said oh thats how its going to be...i responded him back and he told me that THATS ENOUGH and he repeated couple of times. i then was shocked that an employee can harass customers like that. I quickly ask the lady who was helping my wife that is he the manager and no he wasnt. She got the manager for me and her name was Maria, she just simply apologized and told my wife how great that product is that my wife buying. Maria tried to trick us to forget bout what happened. This was a huge scene when other customer saw us getting humiliated by the employee at Sepohra. Maria did tell me his name is Jared. I just couldnt believe the professionalism from the employees. Maria then went on to help another customer. What she should have done is to Pull him away from the floor and talk right away. I am not sure what kind of management experience Maria has or what she did with him since they both seem to be the same level. Also the girl at the register didnt look alive. She seemed fully dead and didnt want to help us. This store is just a JOKE with character of employee. But i do appreciate the help we got from that one employee i think her name was DIane. If you want to be TOUCHED by Jared then do visit this store. we will never return to this disgusting store where customers dont have any Value.
Great selection and glitter
Staff was very helpful
Good gifts for females
Rude no one speaks. As a vib I will not be shopping there
I live in here!!! Everyone is very helpful and knowledgeable of the products!!
Great customer service
Worst customer service. Reps with too much attitude. Not the 1st time i had this experience.
Love this location amazing people !
I Went there the other day to return something and the girl at the counter didnt even ask me about my points and was not helpful need a better staff working there asap!!!!!
Decent sephora
Love this place
Very bad at keeping things in stock, every time I visit this Sephora there’s always more then half of what I’m looking for out of stock, staff at this location is VERY rude, always have a negative experience here, won’t be stopping by here again, would much rather take the drive to a different location.
Too many employees running around. It can be a bad thing, really. The store is cramped as is. Having a dozen employees pretending they are there to help just making it worse.
Walked in for a mascara. One of the assistants said they dont carry that brand and told me to go to Macys. I asked if they have anything similar but he told me to go to Macys again. Very rude.
Love this place
Good place to enjoy the movie
To high for me
Excellent
Friendly
