I was very disappointed in the lack of ambience and how its still closed off for inside seating. Only outside available, where seats are very hard. As a person who drives alot for my business, I was hoping to find a charming spot to do some computer work in between appointments. Sorry to say, I will not be back, even tho the pain d chocolate was good.
I ordered a yellow butter cake. It tastes amazing! You all did a phenomenal job! Highly recommend this place! Thank you and God bless!
Truly some of the best pastries in the metro. The blueberry scone is my personal favorite, but every baked food I’ve tried has been consistently delicious and well-baked. The friendly staff are an added perk! A don’t-miss bakery.
Very disappointed. No charm, no ambience. No indoor seating. Outside seating only on unpadded metal chairs. Bugs buzzing around. I had hoped to get some work done but could not use laptop outside too sunny and hot. As a business woman, I will not stop here again. The chocolate crossaint was just ok.
Excellent social distancing! Friendly, efficient service! Outdoor seating. I was able to get everything I wanted though selection is obviously better right when they open. Since they make everything fresh daily. Stopping by earlier next time.
Thank you Patisserie Margo for this beautiful cake! It was better than I could have ever imagined! And so reasonably priced. I won’t be buying from anyone else again!
In lieu of being able to travel to Paris, we stopped in at Margos on our way out of town to pick up a few sweets for my husbear’s birthday. The staff was incredibly kind, friendly, and patient as we made our selections. The macaroons are absolutely delicious! Baked to perfection, fluffy, and and packed with delicious flavors. If your palette allows, try the dark chocolate passion fruit! It is rich and tangy. Like a sweet afternoon dance disco in your mouth. We also had the salted caramel & pistachio. All fantastic! We still have a cherry tart, citrus tart, and chocolate dream dome to eat but couldn’t wait to share our experience about the macaroons. Next time we are in the twin cities, we’ll definitely be back at Margos.
We purchased cupcakes and macaroons for a birthday party! They were delicious!! Both were beautiful and a big hit!!
Love going here. Supporting local with my coffee purchase. I love the veggie sandwich on croissant.
Wonderful experience. Scone was great texture and espresso coffee flavor was just enough sweetness. The Danish had great flavor filling and lots of layers on pastry. My kids loved their iced sugar cookies
I’ve been wanting to check this patisserie out for a while and I finally got the opportunity. I am so glad I stopped. The location is a bit off the beaten track in an unassuming strip of shops. From the exterior you would not expect that the treats that awaited you inside were going to be authentic and stellar. They were. I ordered a few croissants and scones, which were delicious - top notch and perfectly made. I look forward to my next visit and am aiming to go when they are serving beignets. I can already taste the awesomeness.
My girlfriend and I absolutely love this place. Their baked goods are amazing. We originally went to find a great baguette and werent disappointed. We have since tried their chocolate croissants and donuts and they were just as fantastic. If you want the very best fresh baked goods in the area, this is the place to get them.
Such incredible and beautiful pastries, my favorite locally baked bread and great soup that makes you feel nostalgic over how fresh and homemade it tastes. The service is always pleasant though I always run into some rude overly eager patrons who cut in line(everytime!) But, of course, you cant fault the place for that; just be prepared. There also really is no atmosphere so, even in non Covid times, plan to take your order to go. But definitely go and order one of everything!
Their pastries are phenomenal. I especially love their soft, pillowy bigness and croissants. Definitely my new favorite bakery
Morning Buns and Macarons! Margos place is the best
Got 4 pastries and loved them all. I can’t wait to go back and get more.Must try the eclair and danishes
I received several recommendations to this store for my Thanksgiving pies. I really, really wanted to love my purchases. Unfortunately, both pie crusts were like eating paper. I have no idea what went wrong, but they were awful. There also was a hair in our apple pie. The actual pie part of the pumpkin pie was delicious, though.
Delicious pastries and breakfast! I enjoy their quiche. Today tried mushroom quiche! It was delicious!
Every pastry weve had here has been phenomenal! Bonus is that their coffee is also very good. The staff is so courteous and nice, and the atmosphere is unpretentious and friendly. I would post photos of the pastries we got today, but we ate them too quickly 🙃
Amazing pastries. I personally love their fresh baked croissants that smells and tastes so delicious. Authentic French patisserie experience in the twin cities.
The quiche is amazing!
Everything is delicious. I have visited every weekend since I discovered this place.
Morning bun is a must.
A comfortable place to get croissants, danish, varied pastries and even sandwiches! Take it with you or have a seat - inside or outdoors. My go-to place for getting the best stuff for a meeting that makes everyone comment on the superb quality. If you do the same, youll be showered with requests from your associates, ...are you bringing Margos croissants, scones or any other of Margos great pastries to the meeting? Just nod your head.
Been here many times. As others described, friendly staff and excellent pastries. I really like there baguette, more so than rustica, patisserie 39. Everything we have had has been good: baguette, muffins, Danish, cookies. Coffee is decent too, although not anything to write mom about. 😊. On any visit, you can see regulars so it has a community feel. I wish I lived closer. Hope you enjoy this place too!
Was just there now....closes at 1 pm, not 3pm as listed online!! bummer!!!!! 5 35 pm....ok thanks...will have to try another day!
This place is an absolute delight!Everything is tasty. Literally, everything! The customer service is top notch. As someone who loves cherries, I am over the moon with the inclusion of cherries in SO many options to choose from here.It is a little pricey, moreso than other options in the area, but youll always leave full, satisfied and with a smile on your face!
Great French bread (baguette), yummy quiche with side salad, and the best macarons in town! The soup of the day is always tasty too. The coffee could be better. I like strong coffee, not bitter. Quaint neighborhood café, featuring local artists artwork. Super nice staff!
I have been coming here for almost a decade now and I can easily say that this is the best bakery I have ever been to. Close your eyes while biting into a warm and gooey kouign amann and you can imagine yourself in Paris!
Great place for baked goods. Amazing Macaroons. Delicious croissants. Yummy baguettes. And fantastic staff. Love this place.P.S. Best quiche in town.
Bestt cherry, cream cheese danish of my life. Shortbread is also next level. So happy to have discovered this gem.
I had special cookies made for my moms birthday and they looked incredible and were absolutely delicious!! I will use Margo Patisserie for all future dessert orders!!
Amazing pastries and desserts. Had the sausage Italian lentil soup, very good flavor, not much sausages in the quart i got. Great french baguette to go along with the soup. Will go back, new favorite bread and dessert place!
Margo’s is wonderful. Sam is like family! 😊 love stopping by here when I get the chance!!
Love this family and food!! Highly recommend!!
Margo calls them Morning Buns. Cinnamon Roll or Cinnamon-croissant-roll tells more about what you are buying. Anyway - easily a 5.
The absolute best in fresh French bakery and breads. The staff is always there to greet you with a smile and exceptional customer service!!!!Its right off Hwy 100 & Crosstown(Hwy62).Or 100 & Benson)Well worth the stop for fresh croissant or beautiful baguette!!!
Great croissants and macarons are my favorite!
Fantastic croissants. Great muffins. Cozy feeling in this local place
Please update the hours on the website. Drove all the way from Plymouth area to pick up items for a friend and store was closed. Sign taped to door had a set of summer hours which entailed closing at 5PM. Website and all other sites said closing was at 6PM.
Great pastries, relatively well priced (not cheap, but less than other fancy bakeries)
My favorite bakery. Margo is one of the best bakers in town and she trains her disciples well. Bran muffin/cherry cream cheese danish/Lorraine quiche = happy lad all day long.
Would Not Recommend.I wrote this long review in a word document- explaining everything - apparently it is too long- so please let me know if you want me to send you the full review..Summary: Clerk was not knowledgeable on desserts- no labels- or prices available. The staff was lounging around and not very productive. The sandwich maker took about 5 minutes a sandwich. Each sandwich was $6 or $7 dollars we dont know though because the receipt was not itemized and we dont know what was different from the $6 one to $7 one. There was no garnish of a pickle- and no side. The croissant that went for the chicken salad sandwich was overcooked and shouldnt have been served. The sandwiches were basic and overpriced. It was not a very friendly- welcoming place. I do hope that this place can flourish in the future and I hope that maybe this can give your team some insight. Thanks!!!
2 stars for the great pastries and great location. The espresso and coffee is unfortunately terrible. If they could learn how to use their espresso machine correctly they could truly be a 5 star stop in Edina, a place I would go everyday for coffee and a scone. Not worth the stop unless I need a fancy pastry for a party or gift.
Wonderful baked goods, and the service is great! The bran muffin is a favorite of our 2 year old.
Unassuming place; I walked in and it smelled like my grandparents house (like some delicious homemade soup). Food is great, drinks are great, and I wanted to eat everything in the pastery case.
Quite simply, the best products served by the nicest people. Edina School Bus 20 stops here on an almost-daily basis during the school year, because everyone loves it! Very European and not overly sweet! Brewed iced tea in the winter! Cold press in the summer! Never thought the words, Id like a bran muffin, please would pass my lips, but they are incredible! I get cookies for my students here! I dont think you will be disappointed!
Absolutely great little hidden gem in Edina. A classic patisserie with excellent soups, fresh sandwiches, great drinks, fabulous deserts and outstanding breads at really reasonable prices. Love the community vibe. Margo the owner is a delight. Great family business in the heart of Edina!
Good for lunch or a snack/dessert. Their baguettes are to die for! It would be great if they made their single stall bathrooms gender neutral.
Delicious pastries and desserts plus friendly service. I stop in every Friday and try something new...
Best place for baked good in MN by far. Scones are to die for. Make sure to get there early on the weekends for beignets and brioche doughnuts.
The coffee and bakery items are fantastic! The food items are very good as well 😊
The best carrot cupcakes and croissants. Huge croissants!
Amazing high quality pastries!!! Not overly sweet, full of flavor with a clean aftertaste! Highly recommend!
Awesome French bakery!
Margarita made an awesome cake for my husbands bday. My toddler wanted a diamond cake for her dad and she was very happy with the cake. Thanks Margarita.
Margo is a great lady, and her Patisserie reflects it!
One of the best bakery in town
Great bakery - you will find something you love.
Very friendly staff, excellent authentic French pastry/desert variety. My favorite is the milk and dark chocolate mousse dome
Interesting and tasty pastries. Great coffee.
Unpretentious quality baked goods. Very reasonable prices. Will be a neighborhood staple for a long time. Eating the Beignets here momentarily took me back to sitting by the Mississippi River next to Cafe DuMonde.
Got a sample of bean avocado soup and was hooked. Shared a lemon flavored muffin with my wife, tasty. Hidden gem will be back.
Delicious chocolate raspberry cake. They did an excellent Eiffel Tower decoration.
Amazing raspberry pastry. Can’t wait to try some others, they all looked amazing!
Gluten free selection is decent. I wish they had a gluten free chocolate croissant though....*nudge nudge* 😊
Everything is wonderful. Wish I lived closer.
The best croissants in town. Great soups and sandwiches also.
Great place run by a local family who continue to invest in Edina with a brand new shop. Whether youre looking for a unique and wonderful dessert for a special event, pickup up treats for the office or want a nice healthy lunch (that hasnt been deep fried!), you cant go wrong at Margos. And the French only wish they had croissants as flaky and delectable as the ones you can enjoy at Margos. Mmmm.
Yummy treats for any yime of day.
The best value for your money compared to all other bakeries in the area. Also, the danishes are always top notch.
Surprising cream cheese frosting on the cinnamon roll. Snappy latte -- cofFEE!
Best scones ever. Danish has a nice crisp outside and buttery, flakey inside. Quiches are devine, light and eggy.
Incredible croissants and food. As close as you can get to France right her in Minnesota!
Great. Authentic. Best croissants I have found in mn
Best bakery. Great cakes, especially the flourless chocolate one.
Great customer service.
Delicious sandwiches, soups, quiche, coffee, espresso drinks & of course, pastries.
Amazing croissants. A good croissant is hard to find in Minnesota, but Margo has them.
Margo made my sisters wedding cake, and it was not only beautifully elegant but the best tasting cake Ive ever had. Since then we have ordered cakes for every special event from this bakery. Our favorite is the honey cake with the apricot glaze and decorated with bees. Now my sis eats gluten free and we got a chocolate flourless tort for her 50th birthday- it was absolutely the best Ive ever had!Walking into this place makes me feel like Im in France again! And the young woman who helped me even speaks French- quite well!À Margo et votre famille, merci beaucoup!
All hype. Not great stuff. Wish cafe latte wasn’t so far away.
Great bakery. Wonderful staff
Cool local neighborhood coffee and pastry place.
Delicious French bakery items freshly baked every morning. My favorite place to go for a Danish and coffee.
Great pastries and they make a killer Espresso to boot.
I have only been there four times. The staff is friendly. The pastries are too die for!I have also had soup, and salads.
Most delicious French pastries in Edina! Baguettes, tartes, muffins, scones!
Tasty bakery goods and friendly service.
Good coffee
Quiches after really good, but not worth $33 each! No wonder they dont advertise prices!!
