We recently had 4 bedrooms, a hall and stairs all carpeted over a 2 day period. The installation went extremely well as the 2 man team of carpet layers were very professional and knowledgeable with our installation. They were on time both days, removed old carpet and cleaned the floors before the new carpet was installed. They did a great job!! Also, we love the carpet. Expos staff was very helpful when we were selecting our carpet. With their knowledge of different types of carpet, we were able to select exactly what we were looking for. The staff was friendly and easy to work with. Definitely will recommend Expo for carpet.

I highly recommend Flooring Expo by Carpet King in Edina. Jean Roth was a pleasure to work with and helped me choose the perfect carpet for my bedroom. The installation team was very courteous, professional and efficient. They all worked tirelessly to move furniture, take up the old carpet, install the new carpet and remove/reinstall the closet doors, and they left the area spotless. The new carpet looks fantastic! Excellent service!!

Very pleased with Sams service and overall process. We had originally chosen a carpet that wasnt the best fit and Sam was able to steer us into the right direction with a product much better suited for our home. Highly recommend!

On our first visit, having newly moved to the area, Sam Tosteson was extremely helpful with suggestions for flooring for our entry way. He was right on and stayed with this project through the installation (by Nikolai). We are now planning on new flooring for our kitchen and, once again, he directed us to the right project. We had a great experience working with Sam, very knowledgeable and accessible the day of the install when we had to troubleshoot some sub-floor install issues. Jeff with the install team was great too - went above and beyond to get the project done and done right. And its always a pleasant surprise too when the project is ahead of schedule!

Everything went like clockwork. Jean kept me posted at every step in the process. I was told that many times the manufacturer is behind and is backlogged in manufacturing the carpet and my order was no different. Jean was proactive and kept me updated on the situation and updated me on the revised expected delivery date of the product. When it arrived the installer did an outstanding job in installing the carpet, even vacuuming the entire area when he was done. Outstanding job from start to finish.

From the beginning, Sam was out to provide us a solution for our basement flooring versus pushing a product on us. He was patient, knowledgeable and responsive. Sam didn’t just “write up the order” but listened and guided us. His advice held up with a designer and contractor we double checked with. Sam covered each installation detail completely and the installation crew executed professionally and with a fantastic customer service approach—these guys weren’t clocking hours, they were here to give us a beautiful floor even if that meant working through dinner! The end result is a showstopper and has completely transformed how we use the space.

Great experience start to finish at Flooring Expo. I had been to another store & the information didn’t add up. Fortunately, I had Jean Roth come to my home to measure & we discussed what carpet would work best for my needs. Her knowledge base & kindness were exceptional. My carpet is gorgeous.

Such a great experience! We had multiple bids from other vendors and this by far was a gem! We were so tired of the large home improvement stores telling us they didn’t really work in that dept, but could try and help!One phone call to carpet king and I was sold! They found the carpet I was looking for and gave me a quote Basically over the phone without any hesitation. It was quickly followed by an in person measure and the install was done in less than a month ( even during covid)!The install was quick and the house was spotless after the guys left! We worked with Sam and he was so thorough and pleasant to work with! We will definitely be repeat customers for the rest of our home!

I bought DIY supplies from this store, the staff was super helpful and kept the materials they offered within my budget.When there was an issue with what I received (some damaged items) they fixed it within a day without hassling me about it.Very satisfied with the service and quality of materials.

We purchased a large amount of Daltile and couldn’t be happier with the process. Our sales contact Sam was very responsive and bent over backwards to get us a great price. He also helped us through all the little details and issues that come up when ordering. Highly recommended!

We worked with Sam to plan a flooring and countertop install. There were a couple of hiccups in the process, hence the 4-star review: for example, a mismeasure resulted in the original material order being about 60-80 square feet short, so the installer had to return a few days later to complete the job. However, the situation was dealt with satisfactorily and overall we were very pleased with Sams communication and responsiveness throughout the process.

The whole experience was a 5+ from start to finish. To get started, Mike, the manager, (& the ladies,too) were extrememly helpful in finding the right color of planking to go in my home. I was able to take advantage of a huge sale, thus the whole price was less than I expected. Their installers only work with the one product (carpet installers do carpet, wood do wood, etc) so the are totally experienced in what they do. They called before they came, and finished in less than 8 hours! They did a beautiful job! I love it!( They even came on a Sat to quickly put in one little piece that had been missed in the order)I totally recommend Flooring Expo.Mike, Ill be back for my basement carpeting!

We just had flooring laid in our kitchen yesterday. The sales ladies in the Edina store are fantastic. We had a little communication glitch, but once we got past that, all was very good. The installer, Scott, was fantastic! He definitely knew what he was doing and was very courteous. I would definitely recommend getting flooring through them.

I just had carpet installed this morning. I wont even mention the problems prior to this. Just the damage DURING INSTALLATION. They must have rubbed the carpet against my leather sectional, because the back is so scratched up its frayed in areas. My $8K sectional thats a year old. We saved for that for so long! I cant believe it. He also didnt wear shoe covers. Its raining today and mud/ dirt is tracked all over my house, including my off white persian rug in the living room. To top it off, my house smells like cigarette smoke. And my freshly painted walls are scuffed. Way more damage done than this stupid carpet is worth.

PLEASE READ THIS. We have worked with literally hundreds of contractors and vendors over the years in our remodeling projects, typically with good success. Flooring Expo is the exception and easily the worst vendor we have ever dealt with. Our project was bungled at every level—the salesperson, the measurer, and the installation. We wrote a respectful two-page letter to both the store manager and regional manager describing the problems we experienced, neither of whom bothered to respond. It’s now four weeks after the installation, and they finally sent an installer to repair and finish the bungled job. Floor Expo makes you pay for the entire job before the installation, and now we know we know why. We strongly recommend that you take your business elsewhere to avoid this nightmare, because it doesn’t get much worse than this.

Worst experience I have had with this type of store. Ive been sewing and installing carpet in my own home in my familys homes for 10 years and the moment that I walk in here there and ask a question about if they have a certain type of carpet in stock they looked me up and down and spoke to me like a child. Granted, I am young, but I know exactly what I am talking about. I walked out without doing any further business with them, and will not be going back.

Pam, Micheal and Sandy were very helpful in finding the right flooring for our project. I highly recommend visiting the Edina store. There was a damaged box when I picked up the luxury vinyl planking. Giuliano, customer service manager, took immediate action and ordered another box. All is good and the flooring looks great! A great alternative to the big box stores.

I shopped at 5 stores before meeting Mike at Carpet King in St. Louis Park. He provided excellent service and the best advice on which carpet to buy. Everything went very smoothly.

Crew was timely, meticulous and paid attention to detail to make the new wood floors perfect in our space.

Staff is very nice and helpful. But they dont delive order on time. We were promised that it will be dilivered in 7-10 days but it has been three weeks and it hasnt been arrived yet. We also made sure they were in stock. So be careful and make sure item you are buying is in stock otherwise it could take months. I am very disappointed since it was time critical.Changing to 4 stars after they finally arrived, and staff made extra effort to make sure I could pick up same day.

Rude and patronizing from the get-go, not worth your time, look elsewhere.
