Overall poor customer service. Employees arent polite when you ask for help locating an item or anything for that matter. Usually try to dodge this place and go to Trader Joes or Whole Foods at another location. Restrooms are fairly clean.
My favorite place to get a strawberry shortcake and almond cookies. There’s self checkout, hand sanitizer, carts, and baskets. Plenty of natural products and food. The cake is the best Im not even kidding. I tend to not like cake, but the cake from here is rich, smooth, spongey, with fresh strawberries.
Shelves occupied with just 365 product. No variety. Produce isn’t fresh. Mold growing on the strawberries. Checkout lines with humans are limited. Amazon shoppers cutting you off and pushing in front of you to meet their time quota. Whole Foods used to be so wholesome. A lot of research was done in the past on sourcing local and artisanal product. It used to be enjoyable to shop at Wholefoods. Now it’s just average but overpriced chain grocery store.
This supermarket sits right on the waterfront of the Hudson River in Edgewater, New Jersey. Since Amazon bought the chain, the prices have been better but to get some food here you still have to dig into your pockets. The plus, good, clean quality food although you can now buy the same brands that any other supermarket sells but in Whole Food, the price would be around 10% to 15% more than any one else. Now as Amazon you can get some good Prime deals. Store has plenty of parking and the location is also good. A USDA Certified Organic grocer in the United States, the chain is popularly known for its organic selections. Whole Foods has 500 stores in North America and the United Kingdom as of March 4, 2019.
Came to the bakery section in a rush to grab a cake for a family member at the bakery section and Bryan Helped so much. Wouldn’t have been a successful night without him! Shoutout to the great customer service, will be coming back again!
You can find halal food. Turkish, persian people it’s great for you😊
Much more open than the one a few minutes away from it. Good pizza and nice people.
In this place you can found a great variety of fresh fruits and vegetables.
I like whole foods they have good stuff organic and non organic as well.
I recommend this store. We havent shopped here for awhile, didnt even realize there had been a floor plan renovation. We stopped going to Whole Foods for many reasons, last year. I walked in today and, WOW!!!The flow into and through the produce area was fantastic. The merchandise is now displayed in logical order and the aisles very clean, faced and shopable. There seems to be more staff now, cheery and helpful, and the same great food choices still exist but now priced at realistic levels.I used to shop here out of necessity because this brand offered specific food items in a quality not available elswhere. I can still accomplish all of that here but now, at reasonable prices and with a more convenient and pleasurable shopping experience. Thank you and thanks for the Prime benefits.
Recently discovered ‘Angel’ pita bread at Whole Foods!! This bread is truly perfect.I make sure to always have it on hand because it’s so versatile. Just cut in half and put it in your toaster. At this point you can literally fill it with anything your heart desires. Slather some sauce or spread...add eggs, bacon, cheese, vegan substitutes, tuna, chicken, meatballs, cold cuts, veggies...you just can’t go wrong!!You can also leave it whole, put some tomato sauce or pesto on top, add cheese and bake...and there you have it, a beautiful pizza. Kids love it too! Make sure you store unused pita in the fridge because of course there are no preservatives. ENJOY!!
This location offers curbside pickup. Easy to order online and pick up at the store. They have designated parking locations for pickup. The wait time was much longer than what I am use to but not terrible, it’s usually less than 5 mins at Walmart. We waited less than 15 mins here. It’s contact free and you just open the truck for them to load your groceries in. This service is Free for Amazon Prime members with a order minimum of $35. Orders are ready in as little as one hour. Highly recommend!
Sad day... They had beef ribs on sale for 6.99 a pound. Stopped by to make a purchase. The ribs looked like strick of lean. I have seen so much fat on fat back. Sad day... I was ready for my pressure cooker with my apple juice and seasonings.
If you havent been to Whole foods this review is for you. Whole foods is an upscale combination grocery store and cafe. You can eat in pretty pandemic, or buy groceries. The prices might be a little higher on some items but the quality is good. You can find items unique to WF. We especially like the bakery and the buffet which is priced per pound.
Never enough cashiers . Even at rush hour only 2 registers are open. How is it possible.15 people in line to self check out
Very disappointed the last few times I have shopped at this Whole Foods. Meat, chicken and parmigiana cheese were far from fresh.👎👎
One of the best Whole Foods around. Bright, clean, and organized.
Whole Foods is my favorite place to get organic and quality food. However at this Edgewater location seems like complaints never reach Managment. The hot bar is a mess. No variety everyday the same stuff which I believe is kinda reheated and put back the next day.At 3 PM I ask if you guys will be adding anything, they always tell me “oh sorry that’s it”.Nothing interesting in here. Everyday same old bland stuff.
Went there on a Friday. The store had very little food. Got some fresh mangoes and they were super bad. Got some chicken drumsticks and they have a foul odor - within 2 days. Won’t be coming back to this location.
Great grocery, pizza and bakery!
The staff in Whole Foods are always helpful and will show you where to get the products and explain about the product. As well as giving you options to choose base on the recommendations of different brands. The marketplace where the food is located, its delicious. Especially the pizza. Yummy.
Typical WF, has everything you want...but Whole Foods means Whole Paycheck.
Love whole foods they are always well organized in the store the only thing I noticed is I cant buy my short grain organic brown rice in bulk like I used to maybe longer than a month they stopped having it available at the bulk section. But still nice to go there and find almost everything you need. The self serve cashier are the best 🙌🏻
My favorite fresh, clean and amazing service!Things run out fast best days to go won’t tell you lol no Sunday morning definitely ! My favorite place to shop organic!Try it you’ll love it.-Pardon any grammatical errors written on iphone.
I ordered Whole Foods from Amazon and I was the worst they give me an Expired beef I almost diet. Be careful when you order they always try to give you the most old food not good
Sorry but people at customer service are so rude in the store especially girls!
A well stoked store with very good selection of fruits, vegetables and frozen products. A nice, in store bakery and coffee shop, along with salad bar a ready to eat food.Although somewhat more expensive that other local supermarkets, the store has the best flower selection of any local store and a very helpful and friendly staff which is always ready to assist. From the parking lot there is a nice view of Manhattan skyline and GWB.
Arrived at 6pm, 9/17. Shelves in the vegetable department were almost empty. Couldnt purchase parsley or cilantro. The leafy greens such as swiss chard were good for the garbage . I asked the person who was working in that area about the empty shelves. Her response was I know. They didnt order a truck and she acknowledged that many shelved throughout the store were sparsely stocked. Very disappointing. I relayed my comments to a supervisor. She was apologetic. She said she was going to put my comments in an email before she left. The only redeeming aspect of my shopping experience were the employees. It was quite clear that they cared.
WORMS IN MY SALAD!!!Today I purchased salad from their salad bar and it had a live worm inside it. It was a signature 1 entree and 2 sides item and I ordered kale+ broccoli salad and found the worm on the broccoli. The worm was pretty big, I immediately returned my salad and although I got the refund but that doesn’t matter! The quality of food needs to be improved. It’s a non-negotiable.Whole Foods team - please wash your salads and all food items multiple before serving it to the customers.Watch out folks!!!
Bathroom was a little hard to find but the place was really nice.
Love the cheese and olives that are available.
Fresh produce and a great view of the hudson!
This location is the best one. They have products no other brach has.
Even towards closing hours during this season the staff are more than willing to guide you through to help find what you need.Special thanks to LAM for his assistance and energy. Appreciate you ✨
Very nice clean ppl are not crowding around each other but very expensive
A fantastic selection of items. The store is very clean and orderly.
I love their freshly ground, freshly brewed coffee. And their bread and pastries are freshly baked on the premises. Yummy!
They have a serious inventory problem at this location. The shelves were empty and couldnt find anything I was looking for. The grocery stores around have better selection especially in fresh produce and priced significantly lower...
A good selection of organic veggies with reasonable prices.
The staffs were kind and the place is so clean.
Great place for organic food in edgewater.
Awesome place, great associates that help with a smile.
Its whole foods, you know the vibe.
Warm employee who answered my questions.
Sadly, this chicken was sitting here since the early morning; I took these pictures around 7pm. I asked the manager, Lam Phan and Jose Navas about the chicken and if they were okay with the chicken sitting in the pan the entire day, they challenged me and said that it was okay. This experience totally brushed off the fresh in Whole Foods.
Great selection, nice environment, plenty parking spots, fresh and good quality produce and meat items. Great checkout system.
Great selection of organic products and the prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and theyre doing a great job with wiping everything down especially during this pandemic. One major pro is the availability of parking.
Smaller location but had everything I needed
Nice clean place. friendly staff. My personal opinion about this chain is simply.. overpriced products found on amazon and at your local supermarket.Just my opinion.
If you are on a vegetarian diet, this is the place. Imagine a pizza made out of cauliflower crust, soooooo gooooood!!!!
Was not to happy with the selection or cleanliness
I used to work here. All the bosses are amazing and care. The head of the beauty section —awesome caring knowledgeable people. The bosses up front like Nadira, Miguel, Joanna, Chris, Lan (sorry for spelling) Erin etc are great. They care.My building burned down and animals died and it felt like my life was falling apart And they all got together and surprised me with a card and money for my mom. I was shocked. Samaria organized it and thank you to the front team. These people have to CONSTANTLY deal with stuck up customers putting them down, telling them to go back to their own countries, yelling at them, etc. This store and team are awesome. Thanks for everything, guys. Love you all.
Good place to shop must products are very fresh
Love this Whole Foods! I was craving seafood and this kind older gentleman that was working this afternoon helped me pick out the best oysters to take home. He was very helpful and polite.Seafood here is fresh and have good quality control. I got lucky today and they had a $1.00 sale on live Blue Point Oysters! Best way to end the week. Not to mention, this is in a really nice spot in the waterfront.Highly recommend going here :)
Its busy season but every staff is so nice and kind.
By far, my favorite Whole Foods. It has the best view of the city right in its parking lot.
Love everything about Whole Foods market. It is a shopping experience especially when you read all the labels to be well informed on the nutritional value of the foods you’re putting in your cart. Love the coffee bar and salad/ hot lunch area. Plenty of selections for either Lunch or dinner. You get credit for bringing your own reusable bags.
Whole foods @ Edgewater needs to spruce up a lot esp. its produce sections. there was hardly any good fresh stock of veggies, some of the stock that had turned bad was still on the shelves quite unlike Whole Foods and at the WF price.
It was very convenient and clean.
Nice store. Never super crowded. Friendly cashiers. Large prepared food bars.
On George Road, there is no sign indicating which way to enter for Whole Foods. How are customers suppose to know?! Please put a sign on the street. Thank you.
Selection was slightly limited.. Priced a bit higher but it is organic.
Went in around 11:30am on a Saturday - and the hot prepared foods looked like they were D.O.A. I couldnt believe how old and dried out everything looked at that time of the day, when it should have been at its freshest since it was close to lunchtime. It was not visually appealing at all. Will stick to Wegmans when Im looking for freshly prepared hot food items.
Not the best. Too many empty aisles. Expensive.
One of the best stores they have. Well organized, clean and well managed. Home deliveries are always made as promised!
One of the Best Whole Foods. The one on Rt46 is bigger, but Edgewaters is not bad!
I always find the best specialty items here.
Excellent location 👏 and great staff
This post is from 4th week June 2020... so the place has most of the regular items in stock. No salad bar, no soups, little to no bread and very little sushi or rolls. I can understand most of that in todays conditions. Most all employees are still very friendly and I was in and out of the place with 15 items in under 20 mins. The parking is way to tight, if the person next to you parks 2 to close to the line your going to hit the car next to you when you exit your vehicle. I usually wait for the end spot to clear so its one less car to worry about. And yes I have to take a picture of the plates next to me... This alone is the. Biggest deterrent for us shopping here. Hey whole foods lose 2 spots on each row and spread out the lines. It will take a while for the word to get out but that alone will increase your business.. just my 2 cents..
Was very clean, customer service was quick and they make sure to keep the store at a minimum
I thought, great organic grocery store & goodorganize and very convineant !
Bought nice water melon and some berries good on a hot day like today
My favorite place to buy groceries and fresh food.
Love shopping at whole foods
Never a disappointment, Convenient location, ample parking. Very helpful staff, racks are refilled regularly. Checkout counters moves fast.
The location is amazing. The store, just another whole foods
Love the sushi bar and pizza station
Recently bought a birthday cake for our kids. Came home and we found some hairlike mold on the strawberry on the top of the cake. You have to be careful when you purchase cakes here.
Great store produce at times not always fresh.
Good
Prices are higher than other markets. Only shop there for specific items, i.e. fresh fresh or bakery products.
I Love shopping here. I can always get what I need. The fruits and veggies are beautiful too.
Fresh fruits and vegetables. Good job
What can be said about this Whole Foods which hasnt already been said about the brand in general. This market offers a wide array of organic products, many of which are Whole Foods exclusives. At any time of day, you will often see many people either shopping or eating in the cafeteria. During the warm summer temperatures, you will often see many people seated just outside the store eating or just hanging out. Their entrance faces the Mid-town Manhattan skyline. A great view while enjoying your food or a chat with a friend. The cashiers often have a positive attitude and try to make friendly conversation while some of their stockers seem to try to avoid any type of communication. But, this isnt behavior that is exclusive to this company, you often find those types of negative employees all around in many other companies. I for one dont go there for their employees, I go there for the products.
Well stocked and air conditioning running full blast.
Love it!
Great place for food shopping! Everything is always fresh. Huge parking outside and spacious inside makes it easier to shop. Im a huge fan of their salad bar! Their selection is so big that its hard to make a choice. Staff is also very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth recommending.
