Darnell the current manager is a delight to work with. He answered ALL my questions in laymans terms. I felt like he wouldnt give me false information just to make a dollar. Ill definitely be bringing my vehicle back in the recommended 3 months. Much better vibe than with the previous manager.

I just ordered some tires online and had them delivered to the shop for my convenience and theirs. Printed out a coupon for wheel alignment and rotation & balancing. One set of front tires arrived to the shop today so I figured, fine, Ill just get the front done and a alignment and wait 2 or 3 days for the back. Called up the shop and was told they dont work on low profile vehicles and will be called when the other set arrives for me to pick up. In that case I could of just had them delivered to me. I got a C7 Corvette. Regardless, Ive never heard anything like this. This shop was recommended for my vehicle because of the tires I was getting so that is why they were to be delivered to them in the first place. My rating is based on the lack of service. Its great the company is running coupons but apparently if your vehicle is considered low profile, you wont get service.

I brought my car in for an oil change and was told I needed brakes. They said front brakes only for now back brakes could wait. Could have easily sold me back brakes as well even though I didnt need them. Brought wifes car in the next day for an oil change and sent a friend there. Mechanics and manager are polite, courteous and helpful. Price was good as well. Highly recommend.

Overall the service was excellent. The manager was very respectful and professional. My car was done in a timely manner and I was very happy. Thank you for the excellent service you guys provided in East Orange.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. The manager at this facility is horrible. I have stopped by the store 5times in the past two weeks. I tried to call before going to set an appointment but they never answer the phone. The first time I went at 1pm he stated he couldn’t do my oil change and do come back at 8am. I told him that I work like any other normal person and cannot come in at 8am. So then when I went in again around 3:30pm he stated that the woman in front of me was getting her oil changed and depending on how long the tech took to finish hers he would see if he could give me one. I repeatedly tried to ask what time the tech was scheduled to leave but he again told me to come in at 8am. So then I went in again yesterday around the same time. Same result. He also said he was closing the store soon. How are you closing the store 3 hours before your scheduled time? He didn’t even offer to try to set an appointment for the future or anything. I even called customer service to try to set an appointment & they didnt even answer the phone for him. Never going back here again.

My experience was great!! I took my car there because of a noise it was making I found out I needed a new exhaust pipe upon fixing my exhaust pipe the mechanic seen that my catillac converter is what wore my exhaust pipe out so they allowed me to purchase my parts so they can fix the issue along with the labor for the exhaust pipe. They didn’t want me to take my car and end up coming back right away for the 2nd issue so they gave me the option to get it done at once. Special thanks to Darnell for explaining everything to me and showing me things as well he was very nice throughout the whole experience. I found me a new mechanic that I will make sure to go back to

I had to come back in because of a wheel bearing and again they showed me great service and helped me with the price.Tom went above and beyond again with the service and made sure that is was all correct. They also kept my old tires and told me that they still had a lot of life in them and bagged them up for me. Again great service

HORRIBLE!!! I will never go here again and If I were you, I would never go there either. The manager is unfair. I had a flat tire, call him asking if they fix tires before towing my car to there. After I arrive and took off my car from truck tow he said You need to buy a new tire. Liar and unfair. You Will never see my money and I will tell for each person that I can how is your dishonest way to do business.

The customer service & interest in servicing customers for oil change @ Monro Muffler/Brake in East Orange Nj is HORRIBLE! Every time I come to this place, they never have the time to do an oil change. I was just told this is really a business for repairs so whenever they can fit the time in for oil change theyll fit you in ...early mornings is what he said. Sir, its 1:30pm ...early afternoon?!!! So if if its so hard for you to fit in customers for oil changes, take the sign down for oil change! I have better things to do than to have to work around your schedule when Im paying for a service! I would NEVER EVER recommend anybody to go to this place! I dont need a response from the owner either! Unless you can compensate me for the 4 or more times Ive been turned away, dont waste your time. Take that energy and put it towards trying to do better by the customers before you end up not having any!

I spent, over 900.00 dollars recently,manager must be having a nervous breakdown.I recently went in to tell him can he look at my car.He loudly and belligerent tells me in front of female customer,that he does not like me coming into his store and asking him for,freebies. He also says that he can have escorted off the,premises and that he has a,witness they are both,black.It was very scary for me,because I never seen a, black change colors like he did.l went to my car and he was, fuming like I slept with his,wife the night before,he looks like a little weight lifter!People be careful if you enter this,shop!I still cant believe it!!!

I visited on Tuesday December 26, 2017 I asked for my battery to be checked because I have to get a jump for my car that morning and I also have a oil change. I was told that my battery have full charge. I left thinking every things was good went to the Pharmacy right across from Monroe came out my car will not start I called the Manager at Monroe and I said to him I WAS just there and have you to checked my car battery and you said you checked and the battery was good. I said to him my car wont start he said it may be the starter bring my car back. I went to my car dealer ship and they checked and it was a bad battery.

EVERYTIME I COME TO THIS PLACE... they tell you to come at a particular time and then you come and there are no mechanics. Manager tells me to come in at 8:30 I come BEFORE 8:30, he reassured me that I would be the first appointment. I come and there’s some lady here, the mechanic literally tells me “come back because this lady is here first”... I keep my cool and I asked what time he said 9:30! That’s not fair at all.. I have to schedule getting here because I am a full time student and I work full time. This was the only time that worked and now I’m out of luck.I literally have forgiven everything they do because everytime I come it’s always a problem but I’m done.To the manager that will try to respond to this, DONT unless you have a plan to fix my wasted time and poor customer service. I don’t need an apology without a solution.

Worst customer service, there was this noises coming out of my car and wanted to see what’s wrong since I had just gotten it fixed at another monro muffler. I called around 11am and I was told to come on. Got there around 2pm, and He told me to give him 5-10, waited over an hour while he took care of other. The person at the counter wasn’t so polite. I’m very disappointed. Worst Monro muffler ever. Smh.🤦🏿‍♂️

I have been going to this Monroe for about 6 yrs for oil changes and 60% of the time I cant get service. I came yesterday at 4pm they said come back tomorrow. I came today they said come back tomorrow. Yesterday it was no cars in garage and everyone sitting around, same thing today very bad customer service from the guy sitting at the counter.I have been a customer for yrs but today Im done you get what you pay for.Ill pay more for better service and respect.

I got there around 8 am for an oil change and the manager stated there were no techs to give me an oil change because they were running late. They open at 730 am. I asked him around what time will they be in he said he doesn’t know but I can wait 10-15 minutes. I decided to wait until 830. I went back inside and he said they still weren’t there and he doesn’t know when they will be in. I wasted my time waiting and he acted like he didn’t care that I had been waiting. If the store opens at 730 am, the staff should be present at that time. This was a huge inconvenience and I had to take my business elsewhere.

This is a great find, oil change cost less than that oil depot with the V. All repairs explained in details and fair pricing on all parts without the hefty mark up like other repair shops

I am just stating facts. Borrowed the car from my brother for two weeks. Brakes were squeaky so i I took it here to get it resolved for him. They said I needed new brake pads and rotors in the back. After the work, they said the squeak is from misalignment of the front rotors so it was never resolved. He also said I should get a tune up because the brake petal doesn’t pump well.I gave my brother the car back and he told me the reason for the squeak is because he replaced the brakes on the car a few weeks back.

I have gone to this Monro location a couple of times for oil changes and recently, a check up on my car after it was in a bad accident. These guys are honest, friendly and get the job done! I would highly recommend them!

Horrible customer service at central ave. East Orange n.j there are new people there from when I was going there several times before. I ve been going there for several years now and never had a problem until now. The heavy set guy that works at the front desk in particular is the problem. He very rude and seems to not want to do his job. He refused to do an oil change because he clamed i over fulled it. Which wasnt the case and even if so in a oil change the oil is being removed and replaced anyway. Im pretty sure Im not the first person he was rude to and turned down service it would be in the best interest of the company to get rid of this guy so the other employees can make there money.

I got a call from a relative saying that they need a worker to change oil and do brakes and Tires so me being a military vet with over 15 years of experience working on cars and trucks in the civilian world and Military call up and inquire about the open position and what do I need to bring because Im coming from Queens New York all the way down to New Jersey and the so-called manager gets a attitude like a little high school girl and says what do you expect to bring to a job interview I said I know what I need to bring but since I am military do I need to bring anything extra for you guys to fill out in the idiot this goes on saying in a condescending tone what do you expect to bring how old are you now I know why they are in dire need of workers the managers trash cant talk to people properly doesnt know how to speak properly and has no etiquette whatsoever if I had somebody over me like him as a boss I literally would probably murder him by the way he talks to people and its disgusting attitude

Poor customer service . They overfill by cars engine with too much oil. Dipstick had a inch over the fill line. Response from management was okay what you want me to do? In the end the drain out the oil and stopped it between full and low.
