Dr. Bass has my children eager to learn music and wanting to sample several instruments we started at the cello after close to a Year my son wants to switch the base Im super happy with the instructors its like working with the tops of the industry and their concerts are great as well.

Man, Damon did such a fantastic job helping me get a bigger, more even sound out of my bass! It almost seems like a different instrument now. Its evident that he has tons of experience and has learned from the best in the business. He took his time and listened carefully. And on top of that he was a pleasure to hang out with while we were there. This is the guy.

I recently moved to Durham, and like any bass player, am always nervous to go to a new luthier. Damon (Dr. Bass) is amazing! He was kind and patient with my sometimes stupid questions. He went above and beyond to get me a few extra millimeters on my adjustable bridge.His shop itself is quite impressive. Some things I learned about the Dr. Bass shop that I think will really help the public:-He has a practice room with a piano.-He rents basses to a ton of the IMBA musicians.-He works with all the local schools for their instruments.-HE MAKES HOUSE CALLS!! This part blew me away. He has a custom travel work bench.I’ve been playing bass for over 20 years and have seen many shops. I will 1000% be back to see Dr. Bass.
