Wow! My expression when we first got to Kafe Racer! This visit was for a birthday treat, and boy was it a treat. This bike rental shop has a very nice cafe that you can dine in that offers a menu very similar to top cafe shops! So convenient before a ride or after one. Not only do they offer bike rentals, but you can also purchase bicycles, and they also sell every type of accessory needed for your ride! There is a section where locals come to visit for bike maintenance and tuneups. Icing on the cake is once you have completed getting your bike rental, you can ride right onto the gorgeous Pinellas trail which is conveniently located right outside the shop. I will definitely be returning for more rides…. And purchase of by road bike with accessories. The service is amazing and the techs are sure to give you all the information you need to make your ride the best. They are amazing. Thank you! 🙂

I enjoyed the experience of bike shopping. The staff were friendly and informative. They allowed myself and a friend of mine to test ride a few bikes without any pressure of being sold. This made the bike shopping experience super cool.The accessories were 10% off after purchasing a bike which was awesome. They also have a cool cafe (kafe) to hang out while your bike is being worked on. Ill definitely go back to just to grab a coffee or a cold brew soon!

I went there to browse around for a new bicycle. I had no real intent of purchasing the same day I looked. However, they had the right bike for me. I was primarily waited on by Kristin. She did a fantastic job of addressing my concerns and helping with the adjustments to the bike so I could get a proper test ride. I do not recall the name of the service tech who was helping Kristin with my test ride but he was equally fantastic. The entire day was a great, and a day. We were there for about 5 hours doing a test ride, hanging out, drinking coffee, and talking with strangers. Go there!!

Rented a Mens fitness hybrid bike for one week. The bike I received was a Giant Escape 2. The bike was perfect. Exactly what I was hoping for. I arrived, was given a bike and helped setup up the seat for my 64 height. I had a little difficulty getting started as the gearing system on the Escape was something new to me, but soon figured it out and was out on the road with my lock, no helmet as the sizing they had would not fit me. The bike performed flawlessly over the week that I had it. I rode it from Indian Rock beach, to Largo and back to Dunedin several times. Putting in nearly 200 miles in my week. I will definitely rent from Kafe Racer when we are back in town next summer.

Wow, cant say I have ever had a worse shopping experience. I went in looking for a new road bike. I was interested in an endurance bike. I need something that isnt going to beat me up, as I have back issues. Walked around for 20 minutes. No staff approached me so I went to the shop area and was met by a young blonde woman and the mechanic behind the counter. I told them what I was looking for. Completely disinterested!!! Said they had nothing in the shop, only racing bikes. Conversation over in 30 seconds. So glad I drove over an hour to get here

I’ve been to over 100 bike shops in my life and I must say Kafe Racer is the cream of the crop! The customer service is unmatched to anywhere I’ve ever been! The shop is incredible with great inventory and the staff is outstanding. There’s also a Cafe with great coffee and delicious paninis! I’ll drive 5 hours any day for Kafe Racer!

My wife and I recently decided to make Kafe Racer our bike shop of choice - after having dealt with several other shops in the area over our almost 20 years of cycling.The staff is knowledgeable, professional, and friendly—plus they don’t make you leave your bike for service if they don’t have to…instead they will handle things same day while you wait…All of the above coupled with the great coffee shop located in the same building makes this the best bike shop in the Tampa Bay Area…in my opinion.

Bike rental made easy! Comes with bike lock and helmet and we were biking away with 10 minutes of arriving at the store. Fleet seemed in really good shape. Opted for a tandem, which was a lot of fun and the staff was kind enough to snap a pic for us! Thanks for the great experience.

This is Jenny and Ryan Staude, we have owned our electric bikes that we bought from Kafe Racer for 2+ years and wouldnt go anywhere else. Awesome atmosphere, always helpful, and we have brought the bikes they sold in for general check ups and maintenance all the time. Even when I do something stupid they help fix it! The Kafe Racer crew literally saved our a$$es! Our ABNB has two great beach cruisers with planks for seats. A$$ Hatchets as they were so affectionately referred to. Kafe Racer can be a terrific experience, or really unpleasant depending on the staff person you encounter. Purchased a bike in March 2019 with a great staff person; the rude tech I spoke to on the phone several months later was a complete turn off and as a result of my encounter I took my bike to alternate facilities for service. There is a nice cafe attached to the bike store and a great seating area outdoors to enjoy a beverage during the pandemic. Located right on the Pinellas Trail with a wide selection of bike accessories. A good choice in the area for your needs.

I recently purchased a new bike from here and I couldn’t be happier. This has to be the best bike shop in the Tampa area. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They have a diverse selection of high quality economic bikes up to elite performance race bikes. We’ve also used their rental service in the past. They have a great selection of rental bikes to chose from.In addition to that, it has a coffee shop that serves bottled and on tap beer, mimosas, and local pastries and coffee. There’s indoor seating to cool off and a beach themed outside seating area that backs up to the Pinellas trail in downtown Dunedin.Great people, great bikes, great service, and in a couldn’t be better location. I’ll never go to another shop.

They werent able to fix my brakes and After taking my money they told me it was a design flaw from the manufacturer and they arent able to assist me. very disappointing and unethical!

My favorite bike shop by far. Friendly staff. Changed out a new tire and tube while I waited. The bikes they rent are top quality and well maintained. The cafe is a great feature to have some post ride refreshments.

Last year we bought (2) two 3G beach cruisers from Kafe Racer. Service and staff (Especially Nick) were excellent.I couldn’t say enough good things about them.However this year is a totally different story. 2 screws fell off the back of the bike fender. Obviously hadn’t been totally secured. They were painted to match the fender. I called Kafe to see if they could be replaced. Guy who answered told me they didn’t have any and that they couldn’t get any more bikes or parts from 3G. I called 3G and spoke to a woman who immediately went to the parts room, called me right back, shipped me a hand full of same color screws, bolts, and other parts she had for my bike for free of charge except for a small shipping fee. Very disappointed in their reluctance to help.

I just had my early model Rover in for their tune up service. This trike had a lot of miles on it. When I got it back, it felt and rode like a new bike. I couldnt be happier with their service. Plus the staff was helpful and respectful.

Best bike shop around the whole Tampa area because of knowledge and customer service. They fixed my fat tire electric bike a couple times when nobody would or could. They keep the price fair. Very convenient place and nice looking shop also.

I brought my e bike to Kafe Racer to get help with a rear wheel that was rubbing.(I called ahead) One of their technicians fixed the ]problem in about 2 minutes. He was kind enough to show me what caused the problem and how to properly realign the wheel. There was no charge. I really appreciate their customer service and professionalism. They also have an excellent selection of accessories. Well be back.

Stopped today and talked with Dave outside working on the lights which he was super nice. Went inside and talked with Darrin. He was also super nice and adjusted my bike instantly. Then to my surprise i entered the waiting room that had my favorite beer on tap! Best bike shop i have ever been to by far! Full service dept and everything you can ask for. Great bike shop, affordable used bikes, staff was soooo cool, and you can also rent a bike for the whole day for only $25. Worth it when the bike shop is off one of the greatest bike trails in Florida.

Great, easy rental with bikes in good condition. We did three adult hybrids and a 24” kids bike for our 9 yo. They also have road, electric, tandems, recumbents, and cruiser bikes available for the day or week.We rented here and biked to Honeymoon Island. Then we biked back and picnicked on the deck enjoying a few beers. (Left the food in our trunk!) Then we biked out to Clearwater Beach for a drink and returned. That was about 25 miles and super enjoyable. This part of the Pinales Trail is very fun.

My chain snapped on the Pinellas bike trail. Ought to be a 2 minute fix. Zero interest in helping me. Guess where I will NOT be buying my next bike?

Great location and selection of bikes! So easy to rent bikes, price is moderate but worth it. Only complaint is that no staff members were wearing a mask. And social distancing was not practiced. Otherwise a great business to support.

Superb cafe and bike shop. I live in Europe and I’m used to some very good bike shops and some insanely good coffee. These guys stock a great selection of kit and are extremely friendly and knowledgeable.The cafe itself is good. I wouldn’t say the coffee is amazing. But it gets the job done. I could spend hours inside their cafe or sitting outside in the sun, watching the people do the trail. Top notch place!

I work at the hospital right around the corner. I came in after my shift looking to spend $2500-$3000 on an electric bicycle. After standing arpund for 20 mins, I could get anyone to help me. Very disappointed

I am really glad I went to Kafe Racer. I went looking for a touring bike for an upcoming trip, not knowing much about cycling, and the staff was so enthusiastic to help educate me on everything and went the extra mile, staying late, to get me outfitted with the right equipment. Great management! They really go above and beyond for their customers. Its not just a store, its a community.

Very rude customer service. Didnt make a reservation for bikes, but knew they had 2 openings because the people in front of us went from having 4 rentals to 2. Then when asked if we could have the 2 rentals, the man behind the counter said no. We dont have anymore. When we went online, an opening for 2 bikes were there. When we went back to the counter, we overheard the gentleman say to the other hey, in the future, tell people no, and the other one said I did. Clearly they wanted to get back to fixing bikes rather than taking 5 minutes to assist anyone.

I purchased both my bikes from here and bought a basket to go on the front of my bike. I paid a little more because I really liked it. This weekend while riding on the trail the basket screws came apart and the basket fell off. I stopped in to see if they could fix it. The guy the helped us was very nice and actually replaced the whole thing just to get it done faster and that was really cool, I didnt expect that. They are very service oriented no matter what you walk in and tell them they handle people so kindly.

Rented a bike today and rode over to Clearwater beach. Bike was a perfect fit for me. Felt proud of myself for not stopping as I climbed the bridge incline both ways.

We decided to go for a ride just to realize my back tire was bent. Since we were on the trail, and saw this place before, we stopped. This nice gentleman said hed fix it in 15-20mins. We went and got a drink waiting and this other tall guy came and asked about my bike. I went to get it. He literally said it would be a waste to of money to fix your back tire . You may just as well buy a new bike and not waste your money so I was judged and humiliated in front of other customers. All I needed is a back tire to be fixed for safety. I didnt asked to have a bike become a $300+ bike. It was for safety issues. I will never go back there ever again. Already got it fixed somewhere else that were accepting. Its just sad how judged I was because my bike was not over their bike costs per customers.

If you are looking for poor customer service, poor workmanship and high prices...this is your kind of place.

Walked in with my bike.....around 2pm....told the guys I had my bike vandalized with a seat and a back tire stolen.....honestly there was no way I thought it would be done in less than 2 weeks.....and the young man came back to me and said if I could wait he would have it done in 30 minutes!!!! That to me is over the top service.....Everyone there is so pleasant and wanting to help! Right here in Dunefin we have THE place to go to! Thanks for your kind service.....Will remember it .......you can you believe that!!

The people at Kafe Racer are simply THE BEST! They all have incredible expertise in all things bike. The owner, manager, cafe staff.. all are so great. I live in St Pete and will travel to Dunedin anytime I need bike service as they are better, more knowledgeable and all around good people! And the best part, they charge less than 1/2 of what my local bike shop charges, from a replacement tire to a cup holder! Thanks to Mark for helping me out today, and also thanks to Sandy, Chaba, everyone helping me in a recall on a bike I have had since 2009. They did not sell me the bike, but are stepping up to assist me in getting a replacement for a frame that snapped in two! Awesome people!!!

I buyed a new bike and received good support and they recommendation makes me buy the best bike for me, also I received 10% off for my buy. The price is little high but the service and products are good.

Cool shop with a great rental fleet

We stopped in needing our bikes looked over and to get new tubes. Even though they where extremely busy it was a great experience. We where able to have a beer while we waited and the bikes where perfect when we got them back.

I spent hours mounting a new inner tube and tire on my 27 rim yesterday. I used tire levers to make it easier but it was still an hour long chore. Then I found I had punctured the tube in the process. I took it to Kafe Racer and the guy used a lever to remove the tire from the rim but when he replaced the tube he mounted the tire in about two minutes with his bare hands. Unbelievable!!!
