I went to Second Time Sports today. I had never been there before. I brought my bike in to have a minor problem fixed. Not only did the owner fix the problem quickly but he raised my seat to the proper height, installed a rear view mirror and had the tires filled to the correct pressure. I plan on going back there in order to purchase golf equipment so that I can start learning how to play. I highly recommend that you visit this establishment.

I bought a red Trike brand new. Joe was so nice and let me try different bikes. Since I am older and balance isn’t good, the best choice was the trike. He even delivered to my home! They have all kinds of sports equipment and you are supporting local Dunedin !!

I bought a used kayak from 2nd Time Sports. Joe was very informative as I questioned him about the details of the kayak. The kayak was everything he said it was. His staff helped me load my car and did a great job!! It was an experience I would recommend.

What a great Local gem! I needed a used hockey stick for a gender reveal and stopped in and was greeted and the gentleman helped me pick out the perfect stick and the price was even better. Even took the time to make sure it had a proper grip. Went in for a stick and left knowing this will be my new go to place for all things sports related. Do yourself a favor stop in and support a great local sports gem. Places like this aren’t easy to find, but I promise you won’t get that kind of service from a big box store.

Incredible customer service and professionals that go the extra mile at 2nd Time Sports! I recently brought the mechanic Tyler my unbelievably difficult to fix triathlon/road bike. To say this was a tough job is a significant understatement. Another local mechanic actually tried, failed, and then gave it back to me in even worse of a mess than I initially dropped it off. Tyler went above and beyond researching, did not give up when it seemed impossible, and ultimately did a spectacular job bringing it back to like-new condition. Joe the owner is an excellent and fair businessman who gave me a deal that would have probably cost twice as much at other shops (for half the quality of work). I could not be happier with the end-product and I will continue to bring all my bikes here for as long as I live in Dunedin. Thank you Tyler and Joe, you made my day!

Tyler was very helpful..I’d found exactly what I wanted but the bike had to fit in my car. It was t easy but with a few tries it was inside. He was a calm salesperson despite up to 4 customers were in the shop wanting attention. We all got helped and I have a new retro cruiser. I had a flat tire that needed repair. I was turned away by Kafe Racer in Dunedin. I called this business and 15 minutes later was bike was being worked on. I received great service. I got 2 new tires and 2 new tubes that were badly needed as this bike came from AZ. I will definitely use this bike shop for all my future needs. Thanks guys!

Just got a set of gently used Ladies golf clubs. Great deal, exceptional service. So glad I stopped in!

Ive used them often for various used equipment and usually have a good experience. Today was vastly different. I was judged on what type of bike I need based on my short, overweight, over 50 stature. The owner didnt think a hybrid bike was for me. I needed a flat peddle special seat for my back. Kinda like the Benno I have (except hes the original designer).I need a hybrid for the kind of riding I do now and will get one. From another shop.Disappointed

So knowledgeable about hockey equipment!!! Love these guys. Take my son there to get his skates heat fitted every year. They offer a great variety of used hockey equipment too which is very hard to find in Tampa Bay. Plus, there are other sport treasures for a work-out mom like me! Nothing breaks the bank and we always leave happy.

Had a great experience here. Purchased a used goalie stick bag for a great price. And had an old Jim Craig stick evaluated and some great info provided about the condition and age. Supporting local small businesses is always good and I will always choose shop small over big box stores. So more than likely I will try this store again another time.2nd Time Sports is very nice aesthetically and seems to have a lot of choices. But be forewarned, do not go in close to closing time. I pulled up at 6:48pm noting that they close at 7 and I could not have been more unwelcome. It was a young man working and I certainly understand when its quitting time, its time to go. But what I needed wasnt going to take longer than five minutes if he had bothered to assist me rather than pace by the door.

This is an absolute necessity for anyone with kids in sports. The owner is friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. He could easily have written us off as small-potatoes being as we only needed a little bit of baseball equipment, but he (and his staff) took time to assist us as if we were making a ten thousand dollar golf purchase.

Went in just to see if they had any longboard trucks. I couldnt find any but when I ask the guy working he told they didnt sell any. But told me that he has some in the workshop area, and told me I could have them.

Seriously get top quality sporting goods that are gently used and like new. You cant go wrong and you cant beat the prices. You will be amazed at the wide variety of things you can get.

I got a treadmill at a fair price and it works like new.I got my kids hockey skates and gear way cheaper than if I went new. Argh, hockey is expensive! They sharpened and molded them to their feet, and have worked out great. I saved over $100.

Bought a used Easton S50 softball bat for 49.99 from this store.....that day saw the same bat at target for 39.99 brand new then on amazon for 29.99! I cant believe I paid more for something used from a secondhand sporting store....

Great bike service and repair

Awesome spot with almost anything you could think of. Joe was very knowledgeable and helpful.

I heard the person working quote a customer for an item (just for the item, no trade-ins), and then when I went to purchase the item the price was higher than the other customer was quoted. Be careful if you are not that familiar with baseball equipment, because you might get taken advantage of. When my wife got home with the equipment and told me what she paid for it I was livid. I called the store and spoke to the owner and was informed that returns were store credit only, even if 2 hours after my wife purchased the items. I highly recommenced that you avoid this place of business, or at the very minimum know what a fair price for the item that you are purchasing is. If you rely on the store employees for information you will you taken advantage of. I will never shop here again and I will do my best to spread the word.

Great shop..visit great place..

Bought a wakeboard for Christmas gift, got it home only to find that the bindings had been cosmetically fixed and were in fact broken upon setting a foot into it. Never got the board in the water.Took the board back and the salesmen was rude and offered no trade in credit or reimbursement. I understand 2nd hand goods carry a certain risk factor but this place is selling broken goods and passing them off in good shape.

On 4/11/13 we brought 2 golf bags, clubs, 2 softball bats and bag in to the store. The sales person told us they were not able to sell them ... too old. He gave us a donationslip for the item.4/30/13 I was just in the store and the golf bag and two bats and some clubs wereon sale in the store. They were supposed to be donated to Chi Chi Rodrigquezbenefit! This is bad business to not give a customer money but a donation slip andthen turn around and sell them in the store.

Went in to ask a question and no one would wait on me. Other customers were waiting and also ignored. People who worked there were busy working on a bike and were very disinterested in helping customers

Today was my second visit to the 2nd Time Sports store where I bought a pair of Reebok ice skates that turned out to be the best skates I ever used. Ive been playing hockey for over 40 years and, after a 12 year break, last Saturday night I had a horrible experience with a pair of new skates I got for my birthday. The problem? They were cheap and oversize. Dave at 2nd Time Sports knew I was in trouble when he saw the CCM skates made in China, and advised on a better pair. I felt I could handle the cheap skates - I was wrong! So today, I bought a pair of decent skates from 2nd Time Sports, and WHAT A DIFFERENCE!!! I CAN SKATE AFTER ALL!!! All I can say is thanks Dave and Joe! You guys REALLY know your stuff, and these skates renewed my love of hockey BIG TIME!!!

Way over priced! If Im going to pay so much for used, hell Im just going to buy new from now on. And when Im ready to get rid of it, Ill give it to Goodwill. At least then its a tax write off for value.
