I love myself a good independent bookstore. We make a point of stopping in whenever we are in town. They have a diverse, well-curated selection that features Minnesota authors, artists, and gifts. The place is covid-safe. All staff and patrons wore masks and respected social distancing.

This is a book-lovers local bookseller!Good selection in the store and they will order anything you ask for. Really helpful staff. The used books are mixed with the new so sometimes you get a little surprise that the book you want is WAY less expensive, but still really good quality.

Recently heard about this place and heard they were pet friendly. So we went over to check it out. It fits perfectly in Duluths atmosphere. Lots of books to choose from. Kind of an old time store feel. All the sections are easy to find from kids sections to local authors sections. And my favorite idea that they have is the blind date book where the cover is wrapped in a paper bag and has short bullet points on the kind of book it is making it kind of a blind read if you will.I will for sure go back to this place and recommend you stop in to at least look around.

Exceptional is still not a strong enough word to describe this bookstore. It is so full of character and has such a lovely variety of new and used books and literary themed gift ideas; I easily could have spent hours looking around this store. It was very hard to limit myself to just purchasing two items there were so many things I wanted. This is my new go to favorite store in Duluth when I visit the area a couple times a year. The staff are top notch, too. This is a great local bookstore....and we must support local bookstores!

Great collection new and vintage books. Off street parking is available right next to the store. Though the display area is rather small, there are plenty of purchase options available. I like independent bookstores.

This place does not allow people the dignity of making their own medical choices, REQUIRING a mask to shop here-NOT HAPPENING! I will take my business elsewhere to a place that is more interested in serving pwople than politics

Quaint and welcoming ... coffee, cookies and chairs ... authors - local, well known, unknown and favorites ... books - classics, new and hard to find. The owners are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Everything that a bookstore should be.

Lovely bookstore. Well organized and clean. Our little pup was allowed in and we spent 45 minutes browsing. Staff was knowledgeable and steered us in the right direction.Wish it was closer so we could go more often!

What a quaint, nostalgic feeling bookstore. Equipped with a doggie bed. All the feels and smells of a bookstore. And of course books! Even saw a signed Neil Patrick Harris book! We felt welcomed and comfortable. Could have stayed in there for hours. Thank you for accepting my Molly (dog).

Cute, locally owned shop in West Duluth. The staff are all bibliophiles with different tastes and make excellent recommendations. They offer used and new books. Currently have online and phone order with in store or contact-less pick up.

Extremely well stocked/organized new and used books. I like little recommendation cards on shelves. Yes, they have note cards, and book related gifts. Staff very helpful on special orders.

This is my favorite bookstore in Duluth. It has a great selection of books with BIPOC and LGBTQ+ main characters. I love the variety of representation they offer here. Being seen is so important. They also have a very knowledgeable and kind staff with great recommendations!

Zenith is a beautiful, little store. The staff are kind and helpful. The selection is amazing; constantly being updated with both used and new literature. There is something for everyone. It is truly a gem, and our community in West Duluth is very fortunate to have such a lovely spot. I can’t say enough good things about it.

Just passing through, the beautifully painted books on the facade caught my eye.Awesome selection of local authors, and some of them even stop by to sign their books, look out for the signed copy stickers.I especially liked the handwritten notes under some books with facts about the books and authors. They helped me decide on some of the books I bought.The personnel was very very nice and knowledgeable, sorry I didnt end up buying the book you recommended!

Gave me a good deal on buying some of my books. They cant take everything, but they do pay fairly for books in good condition. Neat place.

It is a small bookstore and the selection reflects that. They mostly have newer books, all in good shape. The prices are a bit higher than Im use to.

Love this bookstore. The atmosphere is very comfortable, they have a great selection of new and used books including graphic novels which isnt terribly common in used bookstores. Just got some lovely board books for my toddler. I will definitely be back for more.

Wonderful, warm, and inviting bookstore. It’s right off highway 35, so it was easy to find and stop in. The owners welcomed us, and after finding out we were looking for a gift for someone special, they made some wonderful suggestions. Good variety of the latest best sellers and also gently used books. Lovely kids, section, too. We will be back!PS: they gift wrap the books, too!

The mellow feeling of walking into a well organized bookstore with plenty of seating and friendly staff is ever present in this gem. A funky combination of used and new books with a buy back program designed to keep their customers engaged. 10/10 would go again.

This place is Amazing! A true hidden gem! Its a bookstore but they also have tons of novelty items and locally sourced crafts and books. There are new books, but he said most of what they have is used books, still in great condition.

I purchased an interesting book about physics for myself and a mystery story creating game for my girlfriend. Had a nice chat with the owner and the clerk and really enjoyed myself there. This was my first time visiting Zenith bookstore in Duluth Minnesota however it wont be my last. Lots of books to choose from and everything is so neatly arranged and clean.

This bookstore is soulful. The book stacks are arranged well and the shelves are tall enough to get lost in them, which to me is delightful. There are chairs to sit in as you browse, and staff are friendly and relaxed. There is a great selection of new and used books, a very relaxed pooch who usually sleeps under the new books table, and Ive noticed interesting book events, author talks, book signings, and conversation. In addition, its situated in a place next door to a coffeehouse. Easy parking. This bookstore alone is worth a trip to Duluth!

Cool bookstore!! For being smaller they have an awesome selection! They have a mix of new and used books. Workers seemed very friendly. I really enjoyed the large selection of local authors and books native to the area. The small comment cards from the staff really made the experience. ^.^

Very nice bookstore! Pleasant atmosphere, nice decor and book selection with reasonable prices. Found a couple neat books within minutes of entering. Also, passing through Duluth, conveniently reached from Hwy 35.

This has turned into my favorite bookstore in the Twin Ports. They accepted a bunch of my used books for store credit, and I love the friendly environment this store has. Its definitely worth a visit to unload some of your old books and pick up a new read.

The store was set up nice enough, the manager greeted us nicely but the store has a mold issue. My family has mold induced asthma and had to turn and leave almost immediately. The owner may not be aware thus this review. My beef would be the pricing. I found an older book from 1983 with an original price of $16 that was priced at $9.95. 63% of the original price from 35 yrs ago. No sale

I really enjoy this bookstore. It is independent, close to my work and has some depth of selection that I find enjoyable (e.g., science, SF, cooking & literature) The only downside is some sections (e.g., Judaica) are stale. Mostly the same books as last visit, and no seasonality that I noted. Admittedly a limited shoppership for this, but for me a disappointment. That said I picked up a nice Kim Stanley Robinson book at a good price, and enjoyed perusing the new used books cart. Gifty stuff and bookish gifts abound.

What a beautiful space! When I walked into a “used bookstore” I expected to see cluttered bookshelves and smell old books but this place is definitely not that! Don’t get me wrong, I love cluttered bookshelves full of old books just waiting to be trifled through but this was so refreshing. The owners are very friendly and willing to order in books if they don’t have them. They also accept donations and offer store credit. Homeschool discounts for home educators are offered as well! Major bonus for West End!
