The menu hasnt changed much over the years but if it aint broke why fix it? Highly recommend the roast beef sandwich. The pesto pizza is newer but also good. Soups and desserts can vary. Years ago I had the best Key lime pie here and Ive had it in the Florida Keys! Sadly, the chef hadnt made any pie recently (blueberry cobbler did sound good). Fun to look through the store while waiting for a table. Prices are better than some of the other little shops in town on many items too.
A very special friend brought me here when I got into town. I LOVED this place! We had a fabulous lunch. Delicious food, great service, in a wonderful setting. Spent hours browsing the retail area. Highly recommended!
Great place and cant wait to visit again when Im in town. Spent hours there and didnt want to leave. Highly recommend a visit.
Lots of really neat things in the store, very unique. AND, the lunch was very good. Their signature soup and roast beef sandwich was suppurb. The melted cheese on top of the sandwich, alobg with delicous, not to strong horseradish sauce, were fantastic touches. The only issue is, if you have trouble with steps, the shoppe has numerous levels, and the levels have different levels.
The place is amazing! You can definitely get lost with all the decorations and ambiance! Special notes for the restaurant and the Morgan house soup! Just delicious! And the service was great!
Love this place, meal is good size, not big. Excellent spot for chit chat. Neat shop to discover things from food to decoration to kitchen gadgets to fun things. Good romance getaway too. My wife and I need to be alone one to one and good time.
A fun place to eat good food and shop for fun holiday themed decorations and doodads. It can take a while to be seated but that gives ample time to explore the huge three floors of cute and fun wares.
Great food at this mostly gift shop. I had a roast beef bake which is shaved beef, horseradish sauce on a croissant that’s baked with a topping on provolone cheese. I got mine with fruit but there are choices of chips or salad. My wife ordered a special, chicken salad melt which came open faced on a croissant, melted cheddar and chips. Both very tasty. Chips were crispy kettle style. We enjoyed coffee with our lunch and gave in to temptation getting their warm skillet chocolate chip cookie and vanilla ice cream.Oh so good.My wife wandered around the gift shop area lots of things of interest.
The place had awesome food, good service and great shopping. Very unique place. Highly recommend.
The many decorations around the building are the attraction. This review is for the food and restaurant portion.Elevated prices and small portion sizes lead to a deflating experience. They greet you with mini muffins, whichever flavors they have for the day. Honestly taste like mini muffins youd grab from the grocery store. Wife got the salmon. Barely a 4 oz. Portion. Looked like a long steak fry rather than a nice grilled piece of salmon. I stuck with the traditional open faced turkey with cranberry. Still as I remember it. New bacon dressing was splendid. Mixed drinks are small. Wine is nice portion. Flavors of meals are well balanced. Food was cooked well. Perfect spot for a small brunch...just be prepared to spend much and leave hungry.
Have never eaten here so I cannot vouch for the restaurant but I have visited the gift shop several times and was impressed. The Morgan House gift shop is huge with an astounding selection of quality items. Right now all their Christmas decor is on sale for thirty percent off. Go for the food the gift shop or both but just go and have some fun.
Was so looking forward to lunch here, after almost a year of self quarantine. First, I want to say that their social distancing and cleaning procedures are excellent. I felt safe. But that is all the good I can say. The chicken salad plate used to be yummy, filled with chucks of chicken and celery, along with walnut pieces. This time - it looked and tasted like shredded chicken out of a can, and a lot of mayo, with tiny bits of celery and walnuts. It tasted like mayo and nothing else. The amount of fruit included with this meal is decent, but not really fresh tasting, and $3 for a medium size glass of soda that was more than half nothing but ice cubes? It was no more than an ok meal. Sadly, I will not be back. Very disappointed.
Love going there always something new to het.
Usually really like this place. However the last time we were there the personnel were rude. Especially the lady by the jewelry counter on 5/17/21. Typically everyone is friendly. Also noticed they didn’t have very many new items.
Unique levels of gift shops...we arrived after lunch hours so will return another time.
I love walking around and looking at all the items they have. Tons and tons of items to purchase. Did you know they have a restaurant where you can eat? I tried that after I purchased a few things and it was so good! They have mixes and chocolate and so much more!! You must check it out!!
Never disappoints. Best key lime pie ever!
The waitress was wonderful and kept up with refilling our coffee. The chicken salad was the best Ive ever had.
The turkey with cranberry sauce open face sandwich was delicious !! We walked around their gift shop, with unique items, after lunch. Several floors to see !!
A fine place 2 shop with friendly staff
Everyone is pleasant. I had trouble getting up step at front door. A lady, employee, was able to pull me up the step. It was very steep. I ordered quiche. The first piece over done, but our server was very kind to bring another piece. Ive come here for years. Their gift shop is amazing.
Good food and friendly service. No
Love this place they have such cute unique items. Wonderful employees to!. One of my favorites is Terri. Ask her to personalize an ornament for you, or buy one of her cards. They carry her card line there too.
Wonderful place to buy coffee and things for mom.
Best gift store ever
Nice place to enjoy for a day out. Food is ok. Not great.
Ate lunch on a Sunday at the restaurant. Food was delicious! So good that we splurged and got dessert too! Everything was amazing. The shop was really cute, lots and lots of really nice craft items.
If youre having trouble deciding on what to order, the hidden sandwich is always a great choice....the sandwich is hidden under a pile of lettuce, served like a salad. The gift shop is equally amazing. Nice place for Sunday brunch with the family.
So much to see but not enough time to shop. The food was excellent...an Irish meal of Irish stew!
I enjoy the food and local dine-in.
Great place to take my mom for lunch. The gift shop has some amazing finds.
Wonderful restaurant to share a meal with a friend and catch up. Friendly staff, great food choices.Always nice to browse through the shop afterwards for a special gift for that birthday of someone coming up or holiday.
Great food and service. Their peanut butter pie is to die for. But they dont always make.it.
Beautiful and the food was good... Waitress was very sweet
Great food and deserts always
Great food and service by Jodi
I love eating their at lunchtime.. and always love looking around.. lots of neat things
What a fun place to shop. So many things to look at. Smells wonderful, delicious food!! Definitely will be visiting again ❤️
If you like going and setting for an hour or so its the place
Great food and service
Love going to Morgan place. You can shop while waiting for a table. Great idea for any occasion. They have home decor jewelry lichen ideas and lots of samples of food. Purses. Upstairs and downstairs. It is handicapped access. Its was a log cabin and build to what it is today. Fun place to go.
Fabulous gifts and lunch
Wonderful shop to go through and enjoy seeing everything they have. Seasonal array of wonderful merchandise. Prices vary by product. Restaurant serves exceptional food at moderate prices.
Historic home with nice but pricey gift shop and a moderately priced cozy restaurant. Youre going to want to ask the server to bring you more of the muffins made from scratch!! I had the Chicken Salad Basket, with a wonderfully fresh salad. Thumbs up!
The atmosphere is relaxing and the food was great. Friendly server. I gave it four stars because the setup is a little confusing. Lots of small stairs and little rooms and its hard to find your way back to the area where you parked.
Absolutely love this place
Quaint and commercialized. Lots of Vera Bradley. Good prices on it.
Forget Cracker Barrel when youre in the Columbus area- The Morgan House takes your typical brunch experience up a notch with their cute, old-fashioned style and delectable dishes! A must try in Dublin, and only 5min from the Columbus Zoo!
Awesome, rustic atmosphere, great food, and friendly service!
Excellent food and service. Chicken salad on croissant was amazing. A ton of food for the money. We had to wait 45 minutes for a table, but didnt care since we could shop the entire time. Ended up buying some extremely unique gifts for Christmas. Cant wait to go back in January for the sales!
Fun shopping and terrible food. I was there yesterday with a group. I had a roast beef sandwich, and the roast beef was definitely off. Of course, I didnt eat much. The fruit that accompanied the sandwich was not ripe. I never eat hard cantaloupe, muskmelon and pineapple. Two people had the quiche. It was a skimpy slice and not good, according to them. One woman had a chicken salad sandwich that she found tasteless. I will never go back. Our group was offered only four choices, and all four were terrible.
One of my favorite places to shop/eat and introduce to others who have never been! Anyone I take here instantly falls in love with the seasonal decor, the awesome restaurant, everything! The Morgan House is definitely unique and one of a kind! 10/10 recommend to anyone!
Great service and.pleasant waitress..food good but not great.
Amazing food and service. The small dining room is so interesting to see with hand cut beams and creaky wood floors. Dont know why more men dont go hereThe rooms filled to the brim with everything you could imagine, jewelry, cards, clothes, household kitchen ware, children section. And great candy and teas spices galore. So give yourself plenty if time to roam and enjoy a treasure hunt for good food and filling your wooden basket.
Morgan House never disappoints! The quiche is among the best Ive tasted, and the Reuben is fantastic. This visit I had the snickerdoodle coffee which was very tasty, but honestly all their coffees are flavorful, plus you can take home a bag as well. It is an enjoyable atmosphere, and a great place for funding special gifts.
Took mother out to lunch and this is the place to take a mother over the age of 60. It is full of them. The food was good, service was fine, and atmosphere modern country. What draws the ladies in by the bus load, is the large Knick knack shop at the entrance. Like going to Amish country with out leaving Dublin. My mother was mesmerized.
One of a kind experience. Amazing
Atmosphere is warm and welcoming. Great variety on the menu with tasty choices. Gift shops have unusual items that are not found everywhere. I could spend hours (and lots of money) there! Definitely an outing to look forward to!
Love it, l always go to Morgan House when in Dublin, OH l love the little restaurant too!
We held an event there in the evening. The environment was very nice and intimate. The food was really great. The staff was very helpful and polite and served us very quickly. Overall we had a wonderful experience at the Morgan house.
The Morgan House restaurant has to be one of my favorite afternoon restaurants to go to. The little luncheon plate basket is my absolute favorite. I order it every time! Everyone is always so nice there and you can always find a something to buy. Youre never walking away empty-handed. Such a cute place to shop. 😊
Delicious food and lovely boutique shop. Lots to see and purchase. A great place to get unique gifts. Ill be back to do some Christmas shopping. A special thanks to our wonderful server, Melissa, and the woman who helped put tables together for our large group. Our afternoon outing was perfect!
Huge gift shop full of fun and unique items. Neat layout with different levels and rooms full of goodies. If you need a hostess gift, or any present and are sick of the same old mall and big box items, you need to check this place out. It was an old cabin with some history behind it and they serve lunch or brunch. It is always extremely busy to eat there. I ate there once a while ago and wasnt that impressed with the food. Items like chicken salad and brunch style food. However, the gift shop is truly awesome and well worth a visit. There is also a section which sells kitchen and cooking gadgets and tools. Sometimes very neat and useful items where you think to yourself, wow thats so cool, I could really use that.
Great place for lunch and fun shopping
The tea room is lovely. Our server was personable and attentive. We had a great time, eating and shopping!!
The food is great and service is very nice and extra attentive.
Wonderful kind people lots of nice merchandise of all kinds good atmosphere.
Shopping was an adventure and food was wonderful. Service was excellent along with atmosphere. Will be back again
DIDNT LIKE THE FOOD.As my team member recommended this place I was here today for lunch. We visit this place during office hours. We waited almost 20mins to be sited and food was not served for almost one hour.
Helpful staff, great variety, charming stmosphere.
Once in the country, but now surrounded by Columbuss exploding burbs, the Morgan House is an ancient log cabin at heart, but engulfed by additions. Most of the space is a maze of rooms housing a vast array of country emporium gift-shop merchandise. The daytime-only restaurant is in back. Its menu, served by a charmingly hospitable and competent staff, stays far from the cutting edge. It is laden with comfort words like creamy, stuffed, blanket, and smothered. A loyal clientele of tourists and shopper-diners from all over Ohios Middle Kingdom are drawn by chicken pot pies served in flowerpots, but the chicken-averse will also find soups, quiches, salads and sandwiches built with turkey, tuna, cheese, salmon, seafood, pizza, ham, and beef. Yes, we had chicken pie -- big, thick, rich, and amply stuffed with chunks of chicken and fresh veg. Not for the calorie conscious, but delightfully comforting and good, and worth every modest penny.
The store is fun to browse, though very overpriced. There is always a wait to be seated at the restaurant and the food is just OK. Overpriced soup and sandwich fare, nothing too exciting. Their famous chicken salad sandwich on croissant was bland and tasteless.
This quaint tea house is one of my favorite places to visit. Their store carries everything from handmade candles to furniture to decorations and tons more. Their food is great too - far from a run of the mill menu. I especially love their signature soup - a creamy mixture of wild rice & curry. To top it all off, their staff is amazing. They are always exceptionally kind to my grandma, who cant walk well and gets easily confused. I cant say enough good about this place!
Wait time wasnt bad. 10 minutes on a Tuesday afternoon. Service was good but spotty... Had to ask for more coffee, which always lowers the tip in my book! Food was quite good. My wife enjoyed it more than I. Its a good womans destination.
This is a really cool place. Everything was really really good. They have a neat gift shop too. One of my favorites.
What a wonderful visit we had, so much to see.
Wonderful food and stuff until I visit next time
This is a great place for ladies who lunch! It is a combination of restaurant (open for lunch) and gift shop. The food in the restaurant is very good.....especially their desserts! The gift shop is on multiple levels, so it may be hard for people do have difficulty walking, but it always has unique items. If you come for lunch, allow extra time for shopping!
The food and atmosphere are amazing. Our server was exceptional. The gift shop is a must see. Love this place, rustic but homey, I never m!ss a chance to have lunch here.
I went with a friend Tuesday December 19 th and waited 45 minutes to be seated, then another 45 waiting on my food. We were both disappointed in our lunch. We were excited to have the broccoli soup but they were out of it and their famous soup. The chicken salad was very salty, my friends turkey was sliced lunch meat so she was very unhappy. The server said only 1 cook but thats not enough excuse
I had a chicken salad on croussaint, very fresh, and also a mixed greens salad. Salad needs some romaine instead of all the wild mix of greens. Gift shop nice as always, candy section done up very nicely.
Almost always a wait, especially if you go around prime lunch time, but its worth it. Just delicious homemade food; the kind of stuff you cant get just anywhere. And you can shop while you wait.
This is a fun place to find all sorts of things that you dont need 😁. There are 3 levels with stuff for sale tucked everywhere, from dip mixes to furniture. Great seasonal decorations. Cafe is good, rich food. I think they call it a tea house but the menu has quite a few offerings. House is jammed packed in every nook and cranny with things to see/buy. I love to get cocktail napkins and cards there but have also bought jewellery, soap, decorations, candles and a purse there.
Full of unique goodies and gifts.
Unique dining environment. They offer daily quiche and sandwich options. Also have a selection of different desserts. Some items made in house. Had a bug in my water during last visit. Sometimes extremely cold near floor vents. Chairs and tables are meant to blend in to the decor, but can be uneven, wobbly or unstable. Lots of steps up and down inside the building and not necessarily consistent in height. Mostly a lunch dining venue for women. Dining adjacent to retail knick knacks and holiday items. Nicer furniture and home decor in rear. They also sell coffees and treats.
Beautifully decorated, delicious meal, amazing dessert, with friendly service in a cozy private room. Highly recommend. We had a party of around 50 and I didnt hear a single complaint from anyone.
THE BEST PLACE FOR LADIES TO GO TO BRIGHTEN THEIR DAY. THE CHICKEN POT PIE, IS THE BOMB.
Very good service. The food was good. You can not make reservations.
Food is great. Little room very cosy but there is always a wait so get there early! Also they have great things to decorate your home and outside. Cloths and all things wonderful! Spend the day shopping.
Love the Morgan House. Good food, great gift shop. Lost our ticket for lunch so the wait for lunch was extra long. Probably not our best visit at Morgan House.
Back in the day, it was a fabulous to go. Now all they really have is jewelry, food items and clothes. I was looking for farmhouse stuff. With that beautiful building, I would have thought they would have great stuff. 👎
