Nothing much to say besides THEIR BUNS FROM THE DELI SECTION ARE LIT!!!!!! Every time Im in a 99 ranch, I gotta get some fresh food!! Their non-asian food is really expensive (think cereal, flour, western sauces/ spices, etc) but youll find hidden cheap gems in their produce, cooked foods, seafood, etc. Again, I recommend the buns!! :)

I think there should be a 99 Ranch in San Joaquin County. I drove here to get fresh dungeness crabs.

Good selection of asian foods for those who dont live near a Chinatown or similar. Meats, produces, and seafood are always fresh. The store is a bit on the smaller side, but plenty of parking.

Most people speak English with strong accents. I don’t understand them. They keep talking in their languages and ignore customers. Worst service ever.Price is too high compared to its quality.I got rotten potatoes and veggies there. Obviously, the fruits and veggies are not fresh.I saw a lot of snacks on sale. They are almost expire or will be expire in 1 month.

Still feel angry about my shopping experience at 99 Ranch market. The food they sell at the food court is moldy. What’s worse was that I ate some of it without knowing the mold.🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮When I went back to the shop, the vendor asked me if I’d exchange the moldy food for something else. No thanks, I will not eat anything else they sell there. I have had enough of the MOLDY food. So I asked them to refund my money $11 dollars. But the hurt I got from eating the moldy food at 99 ranch market is far more than $11 dollars.

This is my favorite store when I first relocated to East Bay three and a half years ago. I can say the store is getting worse and worse now. It s not like a store. Its a warehouse. I tried to purchase Taiwanese products, but now they have more Chinese mainland products instead of Taiwanese, HK and Southeast Asian products. The quality of the products is getting worse., but the price is going up.I speak their languages. I can speak Cantonese and Mandarin. However, those people prefer to speak in Chiglish ( English with strong Chinese accents). They are kinda rude even we are the same race

99 Ranch has many of the Asian specific ingredients needed to make awesome dishes. That said, it takes a while to figure out where they put certain items (there doesnt always seem to be a pattern). Their bakery pumps out some great items. The checkout process can take a bit longer than typical at other stores.

What is the manager doing? You can only buy lottery with a machine! The only supermarket I have ever experienced. What else she trying to skip working and let the customer do? Well, Im sure Im one time shopping there! Worst costumer support. All I see is less customer in the store then others Ranch Market.

Customer service at 99 Ranch is non-existent. Not a soul to answer any questions if you dont speak their language. Prices seem higher than at other grocery stores in the area.

Grocery shopping store for Asians. Surprised me that the young coconut here is $4 cheaper than the one in Concord.

Parking is easy and convenient, located in a plaza with different restaurants and shopping options. Its great that I can usually get everything I need from groceries to other miscellaneous needs all within the same vicinity as each other. 99 ranch also has such an abundant selection of summer fruits that Ive never tried before. Ive been tasting some jackfruit, longan, and my favorite yellow melon! Go get them before they are out of season.

This is the least crowded 99 Ranch I have been to. Everything is neat and clean. I would definitely recommend coming here. The workers were super nice too!

This is my favorite grocery store! Most of the employees are kind and happy to help. They usually have what I need. Some of the prices are high but its worth it to shop in a clean, organized and spacious store.

Excellent selection of asian products! A bit crowded and snug, and at times smelly (by the fish and produce), but youll probably find what youre looking for with patience.

Decent would give 2 1/2 stars. Still does not seem like some of the vegetables are labeled correctly, something I have noticed over time .They have done some upgrades like the refrigerators over by the hot food deli, nice touch

My daughter and I always look forward to going to the 99 ranch store. Even though were not Asian we do enjoy looking at all of the diverse food that they have there. When were feeling adventurous we do get quite a few items and try them out.

Normally I enjoy meandering around this store, as they always have a huge selection snacks, baked goods, fresh produce. The hot food section always has ready to go food that is affordable for the whole family. Can’t wait until this pandemic is over and I won’t take for granted being able to really enjoy my grocery shopping! 99 ranch has really taken care of me and my family during this time!

This is the place for all your hot pot party needs. So many selections to choose from (thinly sliced meats, seafood balls, fresh vegetables, mushrooms all varieties, sauces etc). It is definitely a one-stop shop. As winter slowly unwinds, Im trying to eat as much hot pot as I can. I love making it at home best ( so much better than paying a pretty penny for sub-par hotpot). Nothing beats gathering around the table with family/friends and sharing this unique meal.

I used to shop here until a cashier had a major attitude because I asked her to put an item back because I forgot my credit card and I didnt have enough cash on me that day. I would rather shop somewhere else for my groceries.

I used to come here a lot when I first move in trivalley. That time, this was the only Asian grocery store in the area. (That Im aware of.) I didnt care so much about this place, it seems like its so crowded and not enough room to walk around specially on a busy day like weekends. People that shops here are rude and they just push and leave their carts like nothing. The selections of produce, meats and other stuff are Ok. If you dont mind driving I would suggest just go to the Pleasanton branch. Its much better, cleaner and more selection in my opinion.

With fresh dimsum/fresh food daily, walls of ramen, aisles of snacks, and tasty drinks this marlet is a weekly stop for us. The amount of product that is packed into this store at times keeps us here for hours. We often fill our arms with things to try and its an expedition every time we visit. Great weekly deals keep us coming back. Try the chinese beef jerky and an ice cold beer from their fridges! The sake selection hits the spot as well!

Picked up 6 lobsters here today the older gentleman who helped me steamed them for me, so they were ready to eat when I brought them home.

I come here specifically for certain items. Especially the regular full-fat coconut milk - I love this brand!

I go to 99 Ranch regularly. Today as usual, I went for some groceries and also a deli to buy cooked chicken. Specifically, I bought sesame chicken. To my utmost surprise, I found out at home that this dish contained 75% wheat flour and 20% tiny pieces of meat. This is totally unacceptable. O hope the management notices this feedback and takes necessary corrective measures.

Often come to visit this store and have noticed that there have been changes to the cleanliness. Which makes it that much more pleasant to just walk around and really enjoy looking and discovering all the unique foods. It is cool to see all the different varieties and unusual grocery food items that I cant find any place else.

We love shopping here and the staff is very nice. Most of their products are fine however, I bought some mollusks and they looked fine but when they smelled horrendously terrible during the cooking process. It’s like a mix of farts, excrements, and alk the other yucky smells in the world. Please take care of the mollusks and the other foods and please don’t sell expired/rotten stuff.

Great selection of authentic Asian food and affordable prices. Unfriendly young cashier with limited English spoiled my first visit, but next time I had an older lady who was quite helpful.Cooked duck was great. They also have a small restaurant with a good food for take out. Unmatched seafood selection!

Great place for fresh seafood. They carry a large variety of different fish and varieties of seafood. Wide variety of Chinese ingredients as well as various international ingredients. Fresh vegetables. Meat department had great deals on chicken, pork, and beef cuts. Also some organ meats not found in most stores

I absolutely love shopping at 99 ranch! The produce (fresh and high quality fruits and vegetables) is far superior and at an affordable price that allows me to meal plan for myself. I like picking up some fresh peanuts (located in the produce department) that I roast myself with some salt and I can bring it to work to munch on. There are a lot of choices for anyone who is looking for something simple, new or anything at all.

Have visited this store on occasion and was pleased to see that the store has really been cleaned up! This store is just plain fun to walk around in,you see the most unusual items that you do not see in a traditional grocery store. If you want fresh fish this is the place to go. Cant wait to go back!

This market has my favorite tea that I cant find anywhere else and also a lot of specialty items. I love their bottled drink selection as well.

The space is so well organized and well spaced out that I can intuitively figure out where everything is instead of running around back and forth or constantly asking employees. A lot of variety of food products as always with 99 Ranch Market. However, I think it needs to be tidy up a little bit. Vegetables & fruit looked fresh. A bit pricey than other Chinese markets. I wanted to buy fish paste and the one that I usually buy from other Chinese Market looked dry on the edge, and didnt look fresh. I had to buy the other kind that look more fresh. 99 Ranch Market supposes to be a upscale Chinese Market, it should be kept more clean and tidy. I prefer going to the one in Warm Spring. Much better shopping experience.

A good place to buy your Asian goods, fruits and vegetables! Prices are way better than other stores. Also a good place for different meats, poultry, and seafood. Theres also a hot deli, for a quick to go food! Reasonable prices and tastes good.

Love getting all the Asian snack and food items (like dried squid and rice crackers) that arent sold in regular grocery stores. I wish the aisles were more accessible though as there seem to always be boxes of items waiting to be shelved, which block some of the products.

Place to get Asian staples

I like that all the 99 ranches are generally the same. So I know that if I go to a different branch in a different city, I can easily find what I need. Instead of trying to orient myself every time. I love that I can find stuff that would normally be hard to find in the Bay area especially when I go through my Chinese cookbooks.

Always love this store. Drawback is that I end up walking out with a bunch of goodies that I dont need.Selections is great here with lots of Chinese, Japanese, Thai, and Indonesian food.

Pretty good deals on fresh produce, soy sauce, and the like. Its definitely East Asian targeted, and Im not Asian, but still have many things that I like to get there for hot pot, spring rolls, etc.

One of the best Asian markets in the US, if not the best. Thats not just my opinion, it actually does have a far greater selection than anywhere else Ive been. More variety, even a greater selection of container sizes of each product, so you can buy what you need. The prices are reasonable and the fish and produce are very fresh.

Super convenient location that is near a lot of residencies and congregated shopping area. Most of the time customers will be shopping in and out so either way there will always be parking spots. A lot of options for international (particularly Asian) food items that allows for budget shopping. Fresh fruits and vegetables, so so so many yummy snacks to try! I do like their fresh bread though and Im glad I dont have to wait in line like other asian brand bakeries. I have always had a great time shopping here ever since they opened many years ago!

I never thought that Asian food will be so diverse. Ranch 99 not only have a great variety, it also offers great option to eat in or to go. From dim sum to duck. Great veggie department for Hispanics looking for roots or different types of potatoes and lettuce.

Popular store parking is ok but can be challenging but not horrible Ive always enjoy see what new in there fresh fish shop. This will always be the store that Ill come to for my bulk seafood purchases for a clam bake or a backyard crawdad boil. You can gather small amount or even 40 plus pounds of clamsVery helpful.

Nice tidy place for good grocery shopping experience! They have a small food court inside with chairs.99 Ranch is a great store for Chinese foods, but it also has a great bakery. The single serving dessert breads and cakes are delicious to eat and visually appealing as well.The rest of the store has good inventory of popular geocery items, not likely to run out when you make that long distance drive to shop here. Seafood department is also well stocked.

This store specializes in Asian product. On Christmas Day we were looking for a store to buy Vanilla Ice Cream. 99 Ranch Market was open and had the final ingredient to go with the dessert we were talking to our family dinner gathering. 99 Ranch Market came to the rescue.

Pretty standard for a 99 Ranch. I didnt have any problems, and they had everything I needed. I like to come here for their thinly sliced meats, and the seafood at this particular location is also really great! No rotten fish smells.

Love getting fresh seafood here. Crab is live and fresh. A huge bag of oysters are only $40. 🙌🙌 I would definitely recommend this place for fresh seafood.

You can get good stuff here. Seafood cleaned and steamed or fried.

So many fruits that I have never seen or rarely see. From rambutan, starfruit, golden dragonfruit, longan etc. There is just too many to name. Probably because the store likes to make sure the produce stays cool, it tends to get pretty cold in the store. Make sure to layer up particularly in the summer. Hard to concentrate on shopping when Im gonna be shivering if I forget a jacket in the upcoming summer months. Worth it though.

I have been looking for this drink forever and I am so so so happy that I finally found it here at 99 ranch. And in a 6 pack too! What is this Apple Sidra you ask? Isnt is just sparkling apple cider? No, it is so much better! Its a Taiwanese apple soda that isnt as sweet as other sodas and so much crisper. Imagine a mix between your favorite childhood apple juice and ginger ale. Perfect for when I am serving guests for a dinner party especially during the (apple) fall+thanksgiving+holiday season!

The steam tables offer cheap eats. The fish selection is pretty good. If you are looking for offal there is a good choice including hard to find things like pig snout. The packaged good choices are ok but other Ranch 99 have better.

I love 99 Ranch Market. They always have fresh seafood in the western supermarkets. And being Asian its easy for me to find ingredients that I need. The deli section is just mediocre as I think they use some of the old, ready-to-expire food to make their Deli items. I also like their roast meat deli section, as they also have quail and pork ribs. The seafood, vegetables, and meat sections look cleaner than other 99 Ranch markets in the East Bay. And across the street on Regional youll find Paris Baguette Bakery as well.

Best place to buy fresh seafood, eggs, and produce in the area. The prices are also very affordable if not cheap on certain items when compared to Safeway.

Typical bay area Asian grocery store. There is live seafood from crabs, lobsters, shrimp to more unique and seasonal items like crawfish and uni. They also serve hot foods at a reasonable prices. The real downside is the parking lot, it can be difficult to find a spot during peak hours.

They have all the basics you want and a lot of imported or Asisn food. Its easier to go here than your local supermarket when you want non American items for a lot of your basket. Brands Americans will be familiar with too. Meets standard grocery store needs.

My go to store for raw seafood. The store is a little run down and can use updates. Stong meat odour can be better contained near the meat section. Has good selection of fruits, vegetables and other Asian groceries.

A typical Asian Market with an abundance of Asian related products. We needed Vanilla Ice Cream on Christmas day and the store was open. Lifesaver for us.

I bought mango moose cake from this shop and it was very tasty. Really made the birthday special.

Im not terribly fond of this chain because they tend to be a bit on the sloppy side with merchandise piles all over. But they stock a lot of the essentials for Asian cooking. The other thing that Im not terribly happy about it theyre not inexpensive. But it beats driving all the way to Oakland Chinatown.

Convenient location near other main shopping areas. Customers are in and out pretty quickly, so parking isnt hard, though you might not get to part right at the front. Good selection and great prices on produce, plenty of asian snacks and goodies such as some fresher baked items. Generally clean for an asian supermarket, and I havent had a bad experience with the cashiers or other associates so far. I once asked an associate where an item was and he was super quick to point it out for me.
