Very happy and thankful that my boyfriend found this place and made me an appointment to come and get my car double checked. At the dealer I was about to be charged about $150 for a further inspection and with these guys here a got a reading for free, and turns out my car is not in need of anything.Thank you to the friendly staff and for the quick service.

Very professional business. The employees were very kind and informative. I have never been here before today and they accommodate me with a same day appointment. They diagnosed my.check engine light free of charge and sadly they were not able to help me get what it needs fixed because I would have love for my car to be in their good hands, but if anything else happens on my car that they are able to solve, AAMCO will be my first choice

I was advised by Pep Boys Whittier to service my car for transmission fluid change at a transmission shop. They suggested AAMCO. They were professional, friendly, and accurate with timing. They were finished easier than said.

🏁Brought in my Denali that other shop mechanics and neighborhood bro-chanics would tell me its not worth keeping. First visit/first fix - decent pricing/ great results. I cant thank or recommend the guys at AAMCO enough. Nobody wants to hear their transmission is shot, but Angelo quickly put me at ease. They went above and beyond to work with me in getting my car to the shop, I was given a great price, and they did a great job of helping me understand the work they did (I dont know much about cars) and potential issues to keep watch for. Absolutely five star worthy.

I came to this AAMCO to have them check my engine light. Service was fast and thier mechanic Gustavo was super friendly! They even recommend places to go to have my muffler looked at. Definitely would recommend coming to this AAMCO.

Went to get my check engine light situation figured out for registration. Very impressed with the service and whole experience. Angelo received my initial call, and greeted me with a smile a handshake when I walked in. I simply needed to see why my check engine light was on, and he was able to accommodate me right away. He quickly took down the diagnostic information, and explained in full what the problem was, since I know little to nothing about cars. I appreciated the thorough breakdown. didnt pressure me to get repairs then and there or even at his place, which Ive had a problem with at other places (not at another Aamco, another business). Especially considering that it was a complimentary service, they were expedient, trustworthy, friendly, and above all else professional and personable. I strongly recommend​ anyone needed to figure out what their check engine light means go here.

I took my car here about 2 weeks ago with issues going into 3 rd gear only, all the other gears were fine. they told me they would have the car for 7 days tops, they had my car for 11 days. its cool if you have another car but i did not so i had to get a rental and pay for 11 days which was about $215 plus the almost $2300 they charged me and now it grinds sometimes going into 3rd. oh also when you give them $2300 they will only give you a 30 day warranty. i call them to see if they would make it right and fix it but they will not pay for the rental car when its there fault they didnt fix it right the first time, so why would i have to pay for the rental again when its there mess up. it is also pretty upsetting when you call the corporate office and they are also no help =/ thanks ammco?

I took my auto there because my temperature gauge was not working . it took them more than 24 hours to get me an estimate, the manager lied and told me that my transmission needs something, my car was running hot i told them that i drove my car in it was not towed. any way he told me that they would have to do electrical work for $1450.00 and then they can find out what the problem is. When they gave me my car keys i got in the car and noticed my hood was open turns out they left my fuse box cover off. I am so glad that i got my car out of there! I took it to another Ammco within 2 hours they had an estimate for me$225 and now every thing is good.He is a liar and a thief! they give Ammco a bad name

Worst customer service I experience left car for an estimate they said nothing is wrong with my car gears cant shift to L noise from my torque conveter. if they dont want to do the job should tell me and not waste my time leaving car for 2 hour

Took my car in for a transmission problem and they were able to fix my transmission. They also found a leak in my thermostat housing and were able to replace the part at a good price and promptly. Facility is clean and the associates are very nice.

I do not Recommend this place I took my car in to have transmission serviced and left with no sound from radio. After noticing I turned the car around to question Aamco about what happened to my radio. They told me I brought my car in like that and am I sure it was working when I brought it in. After going back and forth with Randy one of owners he then informed me that he did not work on car radios and I had to take it to some guy he referred. Lucky for me I felt his referral was honest and suggedted I would have to take my car to dealer he diid not work on that type radio. So I went to dealer and got quote. Gave one of the owners at Aamco quote their excuse was he had to speak with his partner. So the out come of my dilemma was, I out of pocket got my radio fixed at a radio shop across fom Mexico Plaza. Ask for Joe a really cool and honest guy. Joe installed car radio with new wiring. Several of the shops I took my car to asked if they were trying to steal the radio because the radio would come on, but no sound. To make a long story short. The discovery was the AMP in the TRUNK was damaged. You decide what you think happened. WARNING DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. I would never go back to this place again they suck.

Angelo and his crew at AAMCO Downey are the best. They take great care of my vehicle and go the extra mile to make sure Im satisfied. I had a very difficult technical problem that they handled with ease and when I had a perplexing and annoying noise they got to the bottom of it with a smile and didnt even charge me for the fix. Dear Angelo and team,Please be a little nicer to your customers. I understand that your employees mess up and you get frustrated; however, a handful of people that come into your facility dont know anything about cars and theyre literally explaining what the hear/see the best that they can, its not like theyre going to know exactly whats wrong, thats mostly on you and your team to figure out.Anxiety is a real thing, look it up if youve never heard of it, but its all Ive had ever since I left this facility without any help.Sincerely,A customer thatll never return.

The service was great, and very honest, my mom took it to Pep Boys they told her she needed to replace the transmission mounts the tech whom diagnosed it should go back in training, Aamco diagnosed it with a minor adjustment 200.00 vs.700 from pep boys, I will never go back to Pep Boys.

Dont know what they are doing, workers arguing with their manager. Cant answer questions the right way they just redirect it back at you like if you knew everything. All for a simple check engine light check. This is the worst location to leave your car. I didnt have a problem with their wait time it was their attitude and very bad customer service. These are the kind of people that give good honest mechanics a bad name.

Well to start if I am wasting my time to take my car to your shop I would expect to get help not to just be brushed off just because you have more work. Sorry but if I called ahead to make an appointment than you should take the time to find out whats wrong with the car and inform your customer on how it needs to be fixed. I will be taking my car and money elsewhere. So yes only one star for the place that says they do total car care.

I went to Aamco because of a check engine light came on. It was still early and I agreed to pay $49.95 just for him to read me the code or codes. In our conversation I told him that I have a lead foot and that I created the problem. It turns out that three codes were displayed. I asked him to erase the codes and if the light came on again I would be back. Because of me being honest, he waived the $49.95. Downey Aamco is the best!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE BY THE OWNER!!!I patiently waited standing in the front desk for about 5 minutes before the owner who was having a conversation in his office w/another customer acknowledge me & said I SEE YOU THERE, ILL BE WITH YOU IN A MINUTE! the coversation keeps going witch btw has nothing to do with automobiles.He keeps talking about how bad traffic is from work to his home in Upland & how he has 3 kids in college & so on & so on........ i finally walked out of there @ almost 15 min of total wait time at around 3:30 pm when their closing time is 5pm..........Very disappointed!

Bad service began to work on my car they gave me the price to fix it a few days they softened me up they raised the price the next day the same thing they raised the price again, my budget did not reach me I had to get my car out of there without transmission and I still had to pay 693 dollars and tow me terrible service

Bad service take my car by kele turned on the check in light. And it came out that they changed the used transmission and a month ago and the light went on again now its out there, its a sensor imagined, they do not even know what theyre doing, theyre just guessing
