Just purchased a beautiful acoustic guitar from John. Very relaxed atmosphere and knowledgeable staff. If you want anything with 4-12 strings this is the place in Dothan.

Staff is very friendly and helpful. They allowed us to play instruments uninterrupted to make a selection, but remained close enough to answer questions. They made suggestions but were not pushy. Staff is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend them for all your guitar needs!

I took my Martin guitar in for setup and spoke with luthier Jon Clayton, one of the nicest people you would ever want to deal with. He is so knowledgeable of setting up and repairing instruments with excellent customer service. I got my guitar and did not realize it could play and sound so good. I highly recommend Jon and Metro for any of your music needs. I will be back. Thank you Jon.

Stopped here for first time today.Love the building in the downtown historic district.Offers primarily guitars, accoustic and electric and performance equipment. Looked like a good stock of inventory. (I happened to be looking for accessories for another type instrument.)The service was exceptional and very friendly and helpful.Will definitely come back again. Great staff, beautiful wood interior. They said it used to be a microbrewery and had a creepy basement. I loved the sound of people playing the acoustic instruments.

My son got a guitar for Christmas and my wife was trying to learn on his guitar to teach him but it was too small. We stopped in here 20 min before they closed on a Saturday. There were 2 regulars hanging out and the employee behind the counter immediately put them on hold to help us. We know nothing about guitars and he took the time to explain a lot to us. I had planned on letting my wife buy a starter guitar for less than $100, but after listening to why they didnt have any that cheap and the benefits of what they do have I let her spend $200 without hesitation. This is the place to go if you want to feel good about what you spent your money on.

Greg is the owner. Great guy. Always helpful. Thats where I get all my stuff done. I buy it from online or at metro. Had my acoustic adjusted (action). Bought several items from there, 2 guitars, an amp, and much more. Fair prices. Best music store in town to me. (Guitar and bass player).

I have talked to three different employees and they are extremely helpful and polite.

Visited Metro a couple times since I have lived in Dothan. There staff is knowledgable and possess a unique technique of helping a customer (that may not be as knowledgable) that doesnt leave them feeling stupid and frustrated!! They have a great selection of guitars and their prices are fair. By a long shot, in both quality of the product and level of skill, I would say Metro is the best shop that I have visited period. There is a humble quality about the store coupled with talent that makes it a great experience all the way around. I would highly recommend this store (and I do) to anyone that is looking for high quality service and gear, from beginner to expert these are your guys.

Not very well stocked. Had to go to a different music store for the rest of what my son needed for band, or I could wait a week.
