They do not take cash! The staff was very friendly and I really enjoyed talking with them. The inside is not currently open but you can order from the walk up window. The stretch of the street it is on is very up to date and clean. The outdoor patio area is nice to enjoy a refreshing drink.I recommend the lavender chai latte.

Cappuccino is fabulously made and the community named fruit drinks are tasty. The work crew are great too. Friendly folks and good food--what more is needed to start your day!!!

I experienced excellent service, I was greeted immediately once I enter the establishment the décor was very nice for the holiday snf and the staff was masked and pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu when asked. Beverage suggestions were given and explained. In addition,, it was encouraged to add the app on my phone for points and freebies for future reference. I purchased a drink and a pastry and they both were delicious. I will definitely be returning when I visit the city.

Visited this gorgeous new neighborhood coffee shop and cafe for the first time this morning. Loved it! Warm, friendly service, great coffee, delicious baked goods by local favorites Zingermans and Avalon bakeries. Upscale in styling, but relaxed in approach. Such a wonderful addition to the ever-changing Livernois Ave/Avenue of Fashion neighborhood. I will definitely be back!

I got an iced mocha latte with oat milk and a ham and cheese croissant. Definitely one of the best lattes I’ve ever had and the croissant was delicious as well, not to mention the customer service was outstanding and they helped me download the rewards app to make sure I got points for my visit. Will be back ASAP, highly recommend!

Ive gone to study at Narrow Way Cafe & Shop during finals week. It was a great place to study. There are comfy seats, lots of power plugs, and a good environment. Ive only gone when the weather is cold, so I have yet to experience the garage doors being lifted up when its warm and sunny, but I look forward to going to the shop then!

So I went there today, just got a regular small coffee, and it was by far the worst coffee I’ve ever had in my life, it tasted like rotten milk and bleach mixed. To their credit they gave me another one with new milk, and it still tasted disgusting. Must have been the coffee. Not sure what it was, but something was seriously wrong with that coffee, today at least.

I really like this coffee shop and have pointed a few friends in their direction. The pastries are delicious and I love the atmosphere but the three-star is because customer service could be better.It had been months since Id visited because I no longer work in the area thanks to COVID. Instead of going to my local spot, I drove 20 minutes to show support. I ordered a salted caramel latte, a Fall Lovers latte and a cookie. Unfortunately, it took 20 minutes to fill the order even though there were only two customers ahead of me. There were also two customers that came after me who recieved their hot beverages before me. (Maybe I wouldnt have minded so much if it werent so cold.)The cashier was really apologetic about the wait, which I appreciated but after a few sips of the salted caramel latte, I realized it was too salty to drink. Sadly, by the time the drink cooled enough for me to try it, I was already on the other side of the city. I called to share my experience and asked if there was anything that could be done to rectify the situation apart from me driving back right then and there. The cashier again apologized, took down my name and phone number and said that she would have her manager call me later that day. Its been a month and I still havent heard from anyone.I should mention that my husband really enjoyed his Fall Lovers latte and the cookie was delicious. I also appreciate the COVID precautions that are in place.I really want to 4 or 5 star this place but for that to happen, the beverages and the customer service need to be spot on, especially if Im driving out of my way to visit.

Stopped here while traveling. Clean, bright place with a great selection of baked products and light lunch items as well as coffee/tea beverages. The staff was attentive and welcomed everyone upon entry and thanked all as they exited. Highly recommend them.

Very delicious. When ordering, they gave me the option of hot/cold and asked me about the kind of sweetener I would like and how much of it I would need. Most places dont care to ask this much detail for tea so I appreciated the attentiveness. They also steep the tea which was even more impressive to me since I had to wait on it.

The customer service is very accommodating coming in greeting you and when you leave. They have perks for joining their app and socials. The shop is very clean and has an intimate homely appeal to it. The seating is isolated with a long sofa and chairs with separate tables. A good vibe with personal or business meetings. If you like contemporary jazz this is the place to have your sip and a snack. I like the approach of the business is to create regulars and familiarity. The menu selection is good with a variety of coffee hot or cold, teas, smoothies, muffins or sliced muffin bread, and a variety of other items. They are also conscious of external items that exfoliate skin and bath salts for optimal health and relaxation.

Narrow Way is taking great precautions for dealing with Covid-19. The order table is facing the street, so you an order while outside the building.

One of the best coffee houses in Michigan. Friendly staff, clean environment, and comfortable seats. The drinks are excellent and so are the pastries, which are locally made. Everyone loves working here and you can feel it. Its also located in a diverse, locally developing and trendy area of Detroit. LGBT friendly.

Best white mocha Ive had in a long time. Service was fantastic. Clean, cozy. I could have easily stayed and worked for hours snacking on the delicious the baked goods.

Customer service is amazing. I’m always greeted when I walk in and they say thanks for coming when you leave out (truly the little things). Great variety of beverages and snacks. I love their lemon curd pastry and samosa. They also have a rewards program so you can earn free things after multiple visits. Not a bad place to get work done and people watch either.

Great environment and vibe. Quiet with a little background noise, nice seating for work on laptop, tablets. Very cool counter clerks. Smoothies, Rishi teas, latte, Coffees and pastries. I had a savory samosa puff pastry with curry, potato, peas, carrots. It was soooo good. Highly recommend.

Cozy Cafe with roll-up door out front. People sitting outside the roll-up look a little odd. Very clean place with great staff. Carmel mocha was just what I needed and it was just right.

The barista was so sweet! The coffees are excellent. So glad I found this place just walking by. The almond joy freeze is to die for.

Prices are kind of high and the female staff at the counter was very unpleasant, aside from that...the other employee and the owner were very nice! WiFi was iffy but the spot is cool.4 stars for the owner and male employee who wants to be a surgeon. Also, the two drinks I had were really good!

Hits all the marks for a local coffee shop. The best part of Narrow Way is the local socializing. Ive meet several people who live in my area which gives the coffee house the feel of a community gathering spot. Something the big wig chain coffee shops wish they could pull off... this is the authentic version! The staff is so nice and very community driven as well. Real owners and real clientele all under the same roof makes this a valuable stop any time of the day, any time of the year. xxo

Was my first time there yesterday. The barista was super helpful and very friendly. The iced coffee with almond flavor was very good. The barista also told me I should try this coco pastry and it was on of the best pastries I have tired in a VERY long time :)I would give this place a thousand stars if i could. Clean and just absolutely beautiful inside. I will definitely be back!!!

This is a great coffee shop with a lot of perks. The coffee and food items are delicious. I had one of their ham and cheese croissants, which was awesome. They also have a great app that allows for a ton of functionality, which is great to see from a local business. Definitely a good place to check out.

This is my favorite independently owned coffee shop. The staff really makes you feel like you are part of their family. The coffee is very good, and I love those pastries, which I think are Avalon baked I always stop in if I find myself anywhere near that neighborhood, and sometimes go way out of my way just to stop by.

I absolutely love Narrow Way! As someone who does not drink coffee regularly, I found there are a lot of non-coffee options on the menu (smoothies, tea, baked goods, etc.) which I really appreciate! Their smoothie selection is incredible and each time I walk by the bakery case I want to try EVERYTHING in there! Some of my favorite menu items are the mango-strawberry smoothie, an iced chai latte, the spinach brioche roll, and the samosa strudel. Super friendly staff and the atmosphere is really hip and aesthetically pleasing!
