Bike riding in Detroit today, came upon this place while riding down Adelaide. Friendly unassuming place. Nice simple patio on a quiet street. Lots of beer options with all the proper glasses too. Hard seltzer and hard cider options as well as sparkling waters all in cans in the massive cooler. No food as of yet but I hope it’s coming soon. Will surely visit again.

Very German inspired brewery. Beerhall style communal seating. I applaud them for brewery traditional style beers. Overall, it was a relaxing visit. Visited on Sat March 13

Great new brewery in Eastern Market that has a wide range of foreign beers to chose from. The atmosphere of this place is great! It gives off a cool Industrial Detroit kind of vibe that is very fitting for the area. The staff here is also very friendly and welcoming and all their beers are sold at reasonable prices. I definitely recommend this place if you’re a beer enthusiast looking for a good spot to try some unique beer in a friendly environment.

Opening a business during coronavirus is extremely difficult. The beer here was great and Tuesday afternoon was the perfect time to come by!This brewery specializes in everything that isnt an IPA, a welcome change in the Metro Detroit scene. Their kolsch was great, and their porter, pale ale, and scotch ale were all exceptional as well.The front entrance was accessible, and the whole place has a lot of promise for once things are back to 100%.

Great spot for a beer on a patio!Opened at the start of the pandemic and is still going strong. Staff is friendly and welcoming. The beer is good. Great alternative to the packed Eastern Market Brewery (which is also wonderful!). Buy imported beer or Michigan brews to go. I even picked up a loaf of sourdough at the bar. Highly recommend!

This has become one of my favorite bars in Detroit! They offer a huge fridge along the back wall thats filled with beer from all over the world at very reasonable prices. As a bonus, you can drink it there and theyll even provide you with proper glassware. The employees are friendly and have even taken song requests (although the music they play is usually on-point). I love this place as is and think that it will get even better as events and development in Eastern Market continues to pick up.

Limited selection of “purist” in-house brews, but they have a fair number of craft brews on tap overall. Very cool space near Eastern Market, they have indoor and outdoor seating. Awesome bartenders and I’d recommend a stop to beer lovers and casual drinkers alike!

Unpretentious, relaxed scene in Eastern Market. Best brewery on the east side. Great patio, massive selection of local and imported beers. Super staff, lively scene, and yummy snacks.

Great addition to the Eastern Market neighborhood. Probably 6-8 beers on tap, lots of interesting/harder to find options sold in cans and bottles. They have a few ciders and botles of wine for the non beer drinkers. Very laid back spot, staff was great. Also dog friendly!

Fantastic addition to the neighborhood. They brew their own varieties, as well as have a selection of other beers on tap & in their cooler. Staff is very friendly. This is the quintessential locally owned & operated small nusiness.

This place has great beers and its super fun if you can get a spot at the picnic tables. It started to rain but we got a seat at the bar, so our fun moved indoors. The Kolsch and Porter are my favorites!

Great beer, service, and atmosphere. Ansel is a great guy and I make sure to catch him when hes in; ask him to do the funny haha dance, hell know what youre talking about.

After having visited the market multiple times in the last few months Ive noticed this place and knew nothing about it. Finally, I decided to check it out and Im very happy I did. Bigger than it appears; its a small brewery with a bigger stock of European beers both on tap and bottles for sale. Its a nice German-stlye beer hall in an old Detroit warehouse. I was pleasantly surprised and happy to see the addition in Eastern Market.

Styles on point, outreach evident, better communication would be a major plus. Really a great place!

This is such a great bar. They brew their own selection and have a huge wall of affordable bottles and cans to go in the refrigerator. Their German heritage is so amazing and they were talking about having German food soon like brats and snitzel. We are really looking forward to coming back.

What they do have on tap is better than Eastern market brewing. Nice that Eastern market brewing have competition for there overpriced boring beer. I love the scotch ale at the Lagerhaus.

Came upon this while waiting on Supinos Pizza take out order. They had 3 of their own beers (surprisingly good for a place wed never heard of!), a few other beers on tap, and a HUGE selection of bottles (would make a Belgian lovers heart happy). Bottles included San pellegrino if one did not wish to imbibe. Freindly barkeeps. Nice open space with open side. Bar and large communal tables as per most breweries.

Unfortunately, I discovered this brewery far too late. The hosts are incredibly friendly. I tried all of the house beers. They are all really delicious; there is something for every taste. There is typically aroma hoppy pale ale, a blonde ale that tastes like light and porter, which has a very strong black beer taste. Among other things, there was a selection of salads, Knäckerot and very tasty sourdough bread to eat. It is also worth mentioning the great brewery atmosphere due to the combination of flavors and decoration.
