I know cars are scarce, but do they really need to extract every penny out of each deal?I recently purchased a jeep wrangler here. The people themselves are very friendly and very nice. The transaction was very smooth. Here is my major beef; they are just plain greedy.Given the scarcity of cars, there is no negotiations on price. I thought they would at least toss in a full tank of gas and new floor mats. After expressing my distain for their resistance to put in new floor mats, they finally agreed. All they had to do was wash and clean the car, and fill up the tank for delivery.When I arrived the next day to pick up the car, it had not been detailed and there was almost no fuel in the tank. In fact, when I was driving home, I was on fumes and had to pull over for gas. Left a pretty sour taste in my mouth after an otherwise a smooth transaction.
The used car sales department never took me seriously despite placing a $500 hold on a vehicle I was interested in buying. The salesman never provided a conclusive answer to whether the vehicle was certified. In the end, I bought my Jeep from a dealer 30 miles away despite living within 2 miles of Ray Laethem. Id recommend buying from another dealership.
Jeff Jones and Donna are amazing too work with. I came in at 1 drove off at 330. Easy simple process they both were nice and polite. I got all the extra warranties. 10/10 definitely recommend.

My son and I drove from the west side of the state and it was well worth the drive. I found the SUV through an internet and spoke with Mr. James Powell, a sales associate at Ray Laethem.He was most helpful and agreed to put a hold on the 4Runner until we arrive and had a chance to look at the auto.The SUV was in the condition that James described and after the sale he had it washed and filled the gas tank up for my son !! Obviously, James did not have to do that but it was his way of saying thanks for choosing Ray Laethem Motor Village. Was long overdue with getting some much need service done on my 2017 jeep compass due to being a charter driver and being on the road myself. Upon getting an appointment my vehicle was dropped off, evaluated and the work needed was done before my return home from a work trip. I am completely satisfied by the service work done and the effort put into making sure everything was completed. Andrea was extremely excellent in making sure I understood everything in my paperwork and stayed in touch with me while I was out of town to keeping me appraised of completion.Im very satisfied with being a Ray Laethem service customer.!
If they can remember to reset the oil change button next time, Ill give them 5 stars. I didnt wait long. I was in and out. Not alot of people waiting. I just dont like having to go back to have them reset the oil change button. Did I get an oil change?? Its an inconvenience and out my way.
September 23, 2021SERVICE VISITI took my vehicle in a for a 10:00 oil change appointment. After waiting for 1:45 minutes I asked how much longer it would take, I was told that my vehicle was next to be serviced due to an 11:00 meeting that the department had. No communication was ever provided to me until I asked for an update on the wait time. I was given the comment that The wait time was unacceptable and that my vehicle should have been serviced sooner and that someone should have communicated with me sooner. I was offered some car wash vouchers for the inconvenience, which I declined. My vehicle was not completed until 12:30....which was a total of 2:30 minutes to complete an oil change. Needless to say I will not return there. Prior to me leaving my appointment I asked to speak to the manager and was told that he was out to lunch and didnt have a business card. I requested that he contacts me when he returns from lunch. Very poor service, communication, and very poor customer experience. The is is a prime example of lack of dealer customer experience and a key contributor as to why Stellantis struggles with being #1 in the automotive industry. As a FCA employee, it is very disheartening to see the lack of customer service commitment that Ray Laethem dealership provided.
I took my Jeep GC in there for a handful of issues, all unrelated to each other. They found the cause of each issue and took care of them. Picked up the Jeep today and all 3 problems are fixed. Great service and great work. Thank you.
Brought my new Jeep in for an issue with the window leaking and it was covered under warranty. The replacement took a few weeks due to backordered parts which was not a problem but the loaner vehicles are through Enterprise unfortunately. I was stuck with a terrible, compact car that smelled like an old bowling alley.I got the call that my vehicle was repaired and went to pick it up. The interior was covered in layers of dust like it was sitting in the body shop for weeks with the windows down. There was broken glass in the back seat and on the floor from when the old window was removed, trim pieces were damaged (hole in one piece, broken fasteners on another) or not re-installed correctly, electrical connectors for the defroster were unplugged, and the wrong window was installed (non-tinted when it should have been tinted). I brought this to the attention of the service manager and he wanted me to leave the vehicle until the new parts came in. I decided that I was taking my vehicle home and he can call me when the parts come in. No apologies were made.After filling out the service survey online, I received a call from Kathy and explained the situation. She was very apologetic, helpful, and said she would get the issues resolved. I was very happy to receive the call from her and willing to give the dealer another chance to correct the issues. They offered to purchase a new hardtop, pickup my car, drop off a loaner, and thoroughly detail the car when the parts came in to which I agreed. Almost 6 weeks passed before the parts came in, they told me Id have to bring it down on my own and that they wouldnt pick it up.After the repairs were made, I went back and inspected the work again. The car was detailed, the correct parts were on, but now two additional trim pieces were broken. They told me they were already on order and Id have to bring it down again to get those replaced. After a few weeks, parts came in and I brought it down to get the trim pieces replaced. There were a few new stains on my seats but the trim pieces were replaced and I just wanted to be done with this whole process.Another week goes by and I remove the top from my Jeep and find one of the handles are broken which mustve occurred when the top was replaced three months ago. I contacted the dealer and they say I need to make an appointment in order to get it repaired. I asked if they could just order the part and Ill take care of the installation myself seeing as how every time I bring the vehicle in, another issue arises. Its been a week and they still have not gotten back to me.I know every experience differs but for me, I will no longer be a customer of this dealership for service, warranty, or new cars.

This is my second time leasing through Ray Laethem. The process is fast, easy and smooth. I just recently turned in my lease 3 months early. I got a letter in the mail for a early turn it. I contacted my salesman James Powell. We talked about a couple different options. I was undecided on which model I wanted next. Price and size was my biggest concern. So I went in to take a look. Made a decision(one I didnt think was actually an option for my ideal price range). Started the process and the next day I picked up my brand new Grand Cherokee X. Which I absolutely LOVE! He managed to give me a great price and I couldn’t be happier! I’m actually paying less for this lease than I was my last! Highly recommend!
Robert v in the service department was one of the most helpful people I have dealt with in a long time. I have had several occasions were I’ve brought my car up to the service and he has worked with the warranty company to help get the problem solved every time. I came over from ray lathum witch is a block away from my house because of how great Robert’s service is. I will never go to another service place or person.

The entire process of ordering the vehicle thru delivery and driving it off the lot, was by far one of the best car buying experiences I have ever had. The entire staff made my purchase pressure free and I never felt uncomfortable when dealing with them. My salesman James Elzerman was exceptional. This dealership’s employees including the president don’t own up for their own mistakes. As we all know talk is cheap and all I got was talk. They sold a vehicle I verbally purchased for sticker price and they sold to someone else while I got ignored and the salesman didnt properly direct the process. he said well you didnt put down a down payment to hold it when he didnt even tell me how. very professional to blame it on the buyer who has no idea how to purchase a car. he also said hes busy with other people Very degrading to me. President ignored me a couple times trying to get me to go away. They throw their mistakes under the rug, so if they mess up, you’re out of luck!
Please do not go here for an oil change or any service job to your vehicle. I went to this place with the intention of getting an oil change. Not only did nobody communicate with me that inspections for older model dodge cars aren’t allowed ie early 2000s chargers but also they had me wait fir an hour and a half and nobody notify me that my car was done. I thought the car was getting inspected that’s why a 20-30 minute at most oil change would take longer. My advisor didn’t communicate anything with me and it took me to get up and ask about my car myself while I see other costumers get notified and their keys handed to them. Mind you they make you make an appointment before you get any service done as well.

And do you have an appointment??? Then he said we are really backed up right now and wont be able to get you in for 5-7 days! So I explained to him that I did call and I was told to bring the truck in over the phone. Also when I walked in no one greeted me or asked if I needed any help, I saw people sitting at desks and totally ignoring me until a woman finally said can I help you and she directed me where to park and how to get to the service dept. Hopfully the staff gets more training on how to treat customers.

Went in with a co signer, and no money down, and was able to get into a beautiful 2018 392 Challenger within 3 hours, with a great APR(>5%,60 months) The staff was also very friendly, and are taking the mask thing seriously. This once great dealership has become a colossal joke all in the name of COVID. After having my jeep worked on there previously and getting great service, I naturally gave them a call to schedule service when something else has failed on the vehicle. The thought being that if it was too expensive to fix, that I would buy a replacement vehicle through them since they have a good reputation in the area. However when I called I was told that Due to COVID, we have instated a policy that vehicles over 5 years old will not be worked on for the technicians safety. What a joke! After 3 consecutive jeeps back to back, I will now be making the jump over to a truck from a different dealer.

POOR SERVICE! $80 oil change 😡Went in for just an oil change and came out with my vehicle pulling to one side. Immediately returned only to get it back pulling to the other side. My mileage on take in was more than what was on the vehicle 26 miles over. Emailed the service manager and got no response. Ive hardly driven this vehicle because of the stay at home order we were under. FIRST TIME CHRYSLER CUSTOMER 😡

This was 3 years ago and you think I would of learned something Brought my jeep in for a oil change an 1:15 minutes ago, still waiting.2021 Brought my car in for another oil change waited 1 1/2 hours. Finally got it back and drove home. Didn’t know it but it leaked oil all the way home and also in my driveway . I will post pictures. Since when does anyone do any oil change and not check for leaks.
Communication is key to working out any differences. Thats especially true at this dealership. I am satisfied with the work and the ease in resolution when a problem arose. Call backs are prompt and I really like the service report. Ive been getting my vehicle serviced here for a few years now and I feel satisfied with customer service as well and the maintenance and repairs on my car.
Absolutely Terrible.!!!!My husband found a Corvette he wanted to purchase from this dealership.He spoke to Drew, about the vehicle.Explained we would be out between 12 and 1 the next day.Drew even sent us a reminder on our appointment. We drove 50 minutes to look at and purchase this vehicle.We get to the dealership at 12:30 and Drew greets us and tells us his co worker took a deposit on it this morning. No call nothing!!!That is a terrible way to treat perspective customers.

Exceptional sales department. Leased a Jeep Wrangler back in 19, have been taking my vehicle to get standard service check (oil change, tire rotation) from their service department and have ran into nothing but issues. My last visit it took me 30 minutes to get my keys back after they finished my oil change and they told me my vehicle was ready for pickup. When I arrived to pick my vehicle up. They told me no was was available to had me my keys, as I stared at them on an advisors table, while two other advisors who knew I was waiting simply for my keys (because I watched the cashier tell both of them) walked past me a total of 4 times. Unfortunately I won’t be going back to make a new purchase or lease because of the service department. And I like to get my vehicles serviced from the dealership I purchase them at.

**This was NOT a paid review**I was searching for a truck for all my hobbies and driving around. I decided to go with Ray Lathem’s Dodge Jeep Chrysler dealership because I heard great things about it (and I see their logo everywhere on people’s cars). When I was going in, I talked to Wes McConney and he was very friendly, professional, kind, and very knowledgeable about the products. I gave him a price I wanted to work with and he assisted me in finding the inbetween. Now, I drive about 66 miles a day for a round trip if I don’t deviate so I needed something that was reliable, could store things, comfortable, sits up high, has a radio that is functioning, and was below $300. I was willing to put some money down to lower my payment per month. Wes was able to take my down payment and show me how much the monthly payment could be if I brought different amounts to the closing. I settled on an amount, and went with the tire and wheel protection (because we live in a pot-hole state – the new Michigan State Mascot) and the windshield protection (because I take the freeway a lot). The payment increased to something I wasn’t ready for, but Wes was able to provide insight on reaffirming my decision for the warranty.The salesman, Wes McConney, great guy, not pushy, friendly, professional, and knows his stuff. I was working with several other salesman to lease a Ram 1500 truck at the time while also talking to Wes, but Wes won out because it was his personality while working with me. He answered all my questions about the truck, showed me how to use the new truck (such as the features inside of it). And, he made it a great first-time leasing experience for me.The dealership itself is very clean, friendly, and everyone is happy to help. The person who I sat with to finish the closing with John. Now this is a gentleman that does not mind explaining the warranties or information you are signing if you are a first time leaser (like myself) or are confused about something. He was very open to me asking questions about the ‘What’, ‘What-If’s” and etc. He took the time to break things down for me and explain it.Would I recommend this place? Yes, and yes. I would recommend you work with Wes at this dealership for any type of lease because he can help find out what you would like and work with you on a price. I had what I felt was a manufactures warranty issue with my Jeep lease. FCA would not cover it, but because both my wife and I are long time Ray Laethem customers, the dealership took care of it. They did more than they needed to. We were extremely grateful.

Purchased my Jeep here one year ago and I don’t regret it! The sales person I worked with was friendly and honest! Gave different options and made sure I got in what I wanted. It made me want to spend my money there. They’re honest and upfront too! Good customer service! I will definitely be making my second purchase here again when the time comes!

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had. I dropped my car off at 10am for an electrical issue, I got it back at 5pm and all they did was rotate the tires. I was told to call at 2pm for an update & never heard back from anyone then somehow by my FOURTH call the vehicle was “fixed”. I went an entire day without a vehicle for the problem to not even be fixed. I will never bring my vehicle back here and would suggest everyone stays far away from here.

I had a wonderful experience with financing a vehicle with Robert but when my car needed service, I had a horrible experience with Anthony and Nikki. A few months after purchasing a vehicle, my speakers were acting odd so I called my dealer, Robert, he assisted me and was very helpful. I came into contact with Anthony for service and we arranged a meeting, perfect. As I go into the shop for service, I am approached by Nikki, she’s not friendly or customer service oriented. I politely explained to her that I was advised to come in that particular day but she had troubles finding my appointment. At this point, we are going back and forth and I am unable to recall Anthony’s name (who arranged my appt) finally I left furiously. An hour later, Anthony calls me and say he did have my appointment and that I can drop my vehicle off for service. Long story short, my car was kept for two days without a rental car available and the technician didn’t find any problems. I asked for an oil changed which they did but minutes after they left my tire pressure came on which is odd to me and my last straw with Ray Laethem service It appeared that the air in my tires were not equal. Now the dealer is closed and it’s Friday, so I strongly do not encouraged anyone to get any work done to their vehicle with Ray Laethem. The service is not worth it. Trust me you will REGRET them looking at your vehicle. I will only advised getting your vehicle finalized with Robert. The service is a complete dysfunctional process. Now it’s the weekend which means they are closed and I have to find another mechanic to fix the half done work by Ray Laethem mechanics.
Very friendly and attentive to my needs. I had some repairs completed here and they were great at keeping me in the loop. They called every few days just to check in with me and let me know what, if anything had changed. Theyre awesome in my book!

They are honest and straightforward. They don’t try to sell you what you don’t need, and there is no pressure. Our Sales Professional, Wes McConney along with Carl made the whole transaction flawless. Even if you live far away from this dealership, it’s worth the drive. I know very little about cars and I am generally apprehensive about mechanics and dealerships but, I had an amazing experience at Ray Laethem. I was helped by Darren, he listened, wasnt pushy, and gave straightforward feedback. I was able to trade in my Ole Faithful for a fair price. I definitely suggest working with Darren he was genuine and knowledgable. I later had the vehicle checked out by my uncle and he agreed the maintenance is pristine.

Had my vehicle serviced here. The lady (service consultant, whom name I wont disclose) was more concerned about making a warranty commission than doing her job. She didnt even check my Chrysler warranty before my extended warranty and because my extended warranty had cancelled, she almost cost me $2200.00 (all around Christmas time 2018) worth of work that Chrysler did approve because it was all engine based and my car was still under 50,000 miles. I had to pay out of pocket for a car rental for days because of this. Life doesnt stop. You still have to work, kids still have to go to school, and so forth. Please train your staff better to not only service but actually care about your customers. Its called retention. I am a Director at the UAW so this will get dealt with but it is the principal of the matter. Ryan (this name I will disclose), who actually did help and clean up her mess was great. He needs a promotion or more money. Thank you.
The people who work there, operate with efficiency. They are knowledgeable on all business and finance matters. I have bad credit and they were able to help me in a matter of days, as opposed to other dealerships that were not helpful. I highly recommend them to get a car from, whether it is Jeep product or not a Jeep product. They are fair and honest!

I received poor customer service at the Express service When getting a oil change . I was told that my coupon from Mopar was a typo and would not be accepted. And my FCA discount was only $3. She was rude and dismissive and I will never return to that dealership again. They need to do better with customer satisfaction and service.

Darren and Russ rolled with it and did what it took to work it out and make me comfortable with the new decision (both are turbo cars and the first one had a true 6 speed). I also returned the leased truck I had at the time and they handled that wonderfully as well.
A great team, and an amazing experience. The price listed is the price you pay! I didnt have to haggle or negotiate. The sales staff does exactly what a sales staff should do. I was given options and informed about each one. I wasnt pressured into buying anything I didnt want, and more importantly didnt need.I found my new dealership!

I wish you could give negative stars. Ray Laethem is inconsiderate of customers time. I scheduled an appointment and according to the. The earliest they could get me in was 3 weeks out. I waited and on the day of my appointment (Monday)I dropped my car off and didnt here anything I called to check the status only to be told that an appointment was not me scheduling time to have my car worked on it was time for me to talk to a service consultant about my issue which I had already done when I made the appointment on the phone. Secondly when I scheduled my appointment I made one request when o scheduled my appointment that Andrea not be my service consultant, and she was my service consultant. I am not sure if she is incompetent or malicious, but the last time I brought my car to Ray Laethem I asked about a recall on my car and she told me there wasnt one. I checked on the Mopar website and there was in fact a recall on my car so either she lied or is bad at her job. This is only the top of the iceberg I strongly urge others to go anywhere else.

Very nice! I have developed severe anxiety due to a previous dealership being so busy it was impossible to get an oil change! Rays was probably the same wait time but definitely seem less pressured. Clean space to wait, toys for children and an area for families!

I was greeted by this very nice lady, by the name of Andrea Flemming, she was very kind, warm and friendly. She Listens very well she hears you, then she helps you with what ever the problem is. And try very hard to get the problem resolved. And when she was called away on an emergency another associate by the name Mr. C.J. stepped right up and continued to assist me until Andrea return.All of the staff, that I came in contact with was very friendly and courteous🙂

I enjoyed worked with Drew Cameron. He’s a low pressure salesman and a very courteous man. Car shopping never conveniently fits within anyone’s work or personal schedule but Drew was very accommodating. Ray Laethem / Drew didn’t give me a hard time about taking the vehicle to my own personal mechanic to review prior to purchasing. Additionally, after purchasing the vehicle and driving it home, I realized that the rear tail light assembly was misaligned and rubbing against the back hatch door. I was anxious about calling them on it since I had just driven it off the lot that same day, but Drew had me come in the very next day and their service department fixed it immediately. I was very relieved and grateful. Something I couldn’t properly express at the time. Purchasing a vehicle is a big expense and small hiccups and oversights can put a bad taste in your mouth depending on how the dealership handles it. I would not hesitate to purchase another vehicle from Ray Laethem or Drew Cameron specifically and I will recommend them/him to anyone I know who is in need of a new vehicle.
