The person who was fixing up my car didnt open the shipment for a bit and when we discovered the damage and I tried to call to resolve the issue I started getting the bad customer service that the other person complained of also. They tried hiding the damage with the invoice paper before wrapping it up so it wasnt noticeable upon immediate arrival. Also, the clips that attach the bumper on both sides were broken upon arrival. The bumper has a strange cut on it that breaks through the entire plastic along with other scratches that were undisclosed. When ordering, i was told my part was undamaged and that is why I agreed to have it shipped to me.If my experience changes, I will update my review.

These people are crooks. DO NOT PURCHASE CAR PARTS FROM THEM!They have taken advantage of others as well. We purchased an engine from them and it was damaged during shipping, twice. We were advised we would receive a refund. After weeks of playing phone tag and then avoiding our calls, we get only a portion of our money back. My card statement says it was charged by Special Way for the initial charges and thats who I expect to get my money from, in full!!!

Very rude, as a customer i was inquiring on a part price and availability, They answer the phone Special Way no hello or how may I help or direct you call? they advertise different parts in popular listings so you call to find out and get abused for asking, his response was cant you read so rude and disrespectful. good luck to new shoppers.

This place is highly recommended, they have shipped me 3 parts for a newer model car, their prices saved me hundreds of dollars, its a busy place and they take your call with less than 1 minute waiting, the sales person said that described the parts as little damaged but they show up in better than expected and they loaded my shipment same day of order, very friendly people and knowledgeable.

I am a business owner. I am the owner of Edge Motors in Mooresville NC. So i bought a Transmission for a Dodge Caliber. After i had it installed it wasnt good. I was told to get a second opinion by Omar at Special Way Auto, so i did. It turned out to be a bad transmission. I notified Omar and he said the transmission would be picked up and time just went by and nothing happened. I kept calling and was then told to wait for a shipping label to send it back. I kept waiting for the shipping label. Supposedly the transmission had to be picked up so that Special way could check it out before doing a refund. I totally understand that. About a month went by. Meanwhile the Caliber was stuck on a lift at the mechanic shop taking up space waiting for all this to be resolved. Thinking Special Way was a good business, i had to handle the situation with the shop here in NC. We took parts from both transmissions to make one good one. Then i notified Special Way Auto. So i was given the run around, and now i dont qualify for a refund because the transmission was never picked up. How convenient.Not only that, now all of a sudden Omar doesnt work there. The funny thing is there is another review with the exact same problem that i am having. I have been trying to get this resolved for months now. The review below is on another google web result for Special Way Auto. As a business owner i understand that things dont always work out exactly how we want but i would appreciate at least someone there to take responsibility and help me out with this.Travis Bigger1 review3 weeks ago-BUYERS BEWARE!!!!! Omar will ship parts that are broken and then say that he doesnt cover any parts damaged in shipping. He will stop all communication once problems arise, wont send a call tag to get the part back and will not refund your money. Terrible people to do business with!

I was going to leave a good review until I saw the parts we actually got. It was received damaged in multiple spots with some broken pieces. We paid $150 to have it shipped (freight). We were told it was undamaged prior to placing the order. The papers specifically say undamaged and when called, they started questioning, yelling, and blaming. The customer is never right for the manager here. If you can see the part in person and do your own inspection, you are better off but if it is being shipped to you, try requesting photos via email or phone. When requesting a copy of the invoice, they cant email it either--only fax.
