From the beginning, the service I experienced was great. I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and the young man listened carefully to my storage needs and made useful suggestions regarding what they had to offer so that I could have a unit catered directly to what I needed. There were several other customers that came in while I was being serviced and he showed them the same level of service as he had shown me without leaving me feeling unattended to. I would definitely refer Extra Space to my friends.

Mason and Jay are absolutely the BEST!! I had an issue regarding my storage unit and they did everything that they could to help resolve the issue! They were very knowledgeable and they really care about their customers! They both went above and beyond to make sure my storage needs were met! Thank you Mason and Jay for your help!!!

Great location, clean facilities.knowledgeable employees, however a larger trash dumpster could be used so should the resident need to trash something they decide they no longer want to keep its available to be used and not locked down. Prices are ok.

I can’t even begin to tell you how helpful & thoughtful my rep. Daniel was. I thought I needed a 10x20 unit (which is absolutely impossible to find in the towns closest to me) but he found 1 left in a town not too terribly far away & at this point I was grateful for that! After hearing all that I had he let me know that a 10x20 wasn’t gonna fit all my stuff. I already thought that but my husband is a glass is half full kinda guy so I didn’t argue but sure enough it wouldn’tve been. Daniel found a way with their special 1st months free on 10x10s & 2nd month free on 10x20 to get me like altogether 20x30 sqft for 60 days (plus $25 ea. admin.fee) by only paying for 1 month each giving us tons of space in spite of the short notice I had to give. He stayed on the phone with me for almost an hour! He was absolutely amazing! The rep. Chris, was so very polite as well. I don’t know if they have the best job in the world or if they just really love what they do but I wish more people in customer service were like that!

I have rented at different storage places through the years but this is by far the best facility I have ever rented at. Clean and great price! A++ 👌🏿

Quick process to sign up for a storage unit. We needed something larger with drive up access for our HOA so this was a good solution and close to our community. The manager was quick to help us get setup and the contract process was quick and completely online. The unit we rented was clean and had a wide drive up access which is a plus.

My storage payment went up in January 2020 from $186 to $204 and again in October 2020 from $204 to $228. I moved in, in August 2019. I expected some yearly adjustments to the rent but I’m disappointed with how quickly my rent has changed in just over a year.

The storage facility in Desoto, Texas is the worst. DO NOT do business with this facility. We were quoted one price, the price increased substantially when it was time to pay, and were even told the price would increase as months passed. This place is the WORST!!

Had a good experience here, getting a storage unit went fast and smooth. The lady there, Brantley, was real nice and it was a pleasure speaking with her. Also, they was able to give me a promotion - first month rent free (still had to pay for the storage unit which wasnt a big deal only like 24 bucks) so I left there very satisfied.

VERY DISAPPOINTED FOR MY LOYALTYI have been a loyal Extra Space Storage customer for about 15 years. I have had the need for storage in different states due to work assignments in many states. I have rented at least 10 storage spaces over the years. I have always utilized Extra Space Storage because I assume I know what I am getting when it comes to cleanliness and security.I had my items stored at this unit for over two years at this location. I moved out of state so I was not able to visit or monitor my storage space. To my disappointment, I recently cleared out my storage space to find MUCH, MUCH, TOO MUCH RAT DROPPINGS, RAT URINE ON MOST OF MY PERSONAL PROPERTY AND EVEN FOUND A DEAD, DECOMPOSED RAT!!! LIVE RATS WERE EVEN FOUND AND SCATTERED TO THE SPACES ADJACENT TO MY UNIT WHEN WE WERE PRESENT. MY MOVERS KEPT COMMENTING HOW BAD IT WAS!I have been forced to throw away a number of personal items. The rats even chewed the bottom of my 6 month-old $4,000 refrigerator. Two cushions on a couch were stained with rat poop and I had to throw them away.I have a total of 4 couches and I made a request for only 2 of my couches to be cleaned and sanitized ( a cost of about $350). I have spoken to management and to a bigger disappointment my request will not be honored. I paid over $350 monthly for storage fees. They will not take any responsibility or liability for RATS living the unit!! I really feel for the adjacent units next to mine where the living rats ran. I reported it, but I have no confidence that anything would be done about it.This seems to be very selfish and unethical. What a slap in my face for my loyalty! BEWARE OF RATS AT THIS LOCATION - THEY EAT THROUGH EVERYTHING; DROP AND PEE ON EVERYTHING!!While the store management team was nice, what is the MOST important factor...DAMAGE TO YOUR PERSONAL ITEMS!! READ THE OTHER REVIEWS - I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE THIS HAS HAPPENED TO!!!

Jan the sales clerk did an excellent job helping me rent my storage unit.The day I rented, I gave Jan a great review because she was great to do service with. I had an issue that the unit that I rented was presented to me as a 10 x 20. I measured and found it to be only 10 x 19. I asked Jan why was the unit beeing presented to me as a 10 x 20 instead of a 10 x 19. She could not give an explanation, but said she would contact me the following Monday or Tuesday, which is in 2 or 3 days. It has been 2 weeks and I still have not heard anything from Jan. I am so disappointed in Jan for not following up with me. I took my time to write a good review for her the day I rented the unit, believing she would followup.I did check my contract at home and saw that the contract did say sizes are approximate. I can understand approximate size, but 1 whole foot. The width is a couple inches shorter than 10 feet, which I can understand the unit being presented as 10 feet in width, but the length being whole foot short, I cant understand that being presented as approximately 20 feet.For these 2 reasons, of no followup and the unit being a complete foot short, am changing my 4 star, to a 1.

I havent moved my things in yet. The experience with the young man Chris was very nice and the facility was very clean . I am moved into my unit now and everyone is kind and helpful. Will recommend this facility to all.

This place is full of it! They increased my monthly payment by almost $100 not to mention that NO ONE NOTIFIED me of this increase. I would never rent another unit from this place again.Update: Now that we have moved out we found out that half of our stuff has been ruined by either rats or water damage. So we have been paying for this overpriced unit just have them destroy our belongings. Without a doubt I would NEVER recommend this place unless you like paying to have your precious items that you have worked hard for ruined by inconsiderate company.
