You just cant do better than perfection. I called six places, Maaco had the best price, and took care of me right away.

I came here needing some front cosmetic work only. The original quote had a warranty, but when 8 come back the new quote didnt have a warranty on the paint job. They kept calling me adding on to the original quote and recommended that I get both fender liners replaced. The ones that were on there before wasnt bad but I wanted my car to look complete, so I said yes. The one that they put on fell off less than two weeks after getting the car back. It either wasnt the right ones or a combination of both. I called them and scheduled an appointment to take it back to get it fixed by them since they did the work. I get there to show him and he says that they cant help. STAY AWAY!! I HAVE MY RECEIPT IN HAND.

I called two Macao shops to ask for a quote on a paint job...the person I spoke with at either shop were both rude and unhelpful...

I came in with a car that has severe clear coat fail, a dent, and some rust spots. I got a very good quote on a 4 year warranty paint job on the entire vehicle. Jose and the crew finished it on time, and the car looks GREAT.

I thought they did a really nice job. I was worried about painting my car; I didnt feel like I was ready to get it painted (needed a little body work, etc..). Decided to pull the trigger and had them do the body work (rust/patch panel) and paint it. Picked up my car about 6 days later and I was very happy with the finish. I would recommend them to anyone. They did a real nice job.

Great experience with Maaco to paint some motorcycle parts. Had some primered vintage BMW airhead side covers that needed a metallic color match to rest of the bike.. They asked for 1/2 the price of competitors. Finish is great and holds up well. It was a little strange to pay in advance, but the work shows.

My 2008 Toyota Corolla was serviced twice and both times I had a great experience with Andrew. I was very satisfied with the work on my car as well. The first time (Oct 2019)someone hit my front driver side bumper and I needed a new bumper. Second time (May 2020) I got some cosmetic work done (rust, paint transfer, and a couple of dings). Andrew said it would take 3-5 days and he delivered. You know a place is good even when the mechanics/body work people are nice.

Andrew runs a professional and honest business. I paid less than half of what other shops estimated the job to cost. The job was completed ASAP and beautifully. I will recommend this Maaco shop to friends and family. Thank you Andrew and Maaco!

Took my Audi A5 in to take care of numerous rock chips on my hood and front bumper, and whole passenger side, plus rear quarter panel and it came out looking like as when I bought it brand new in 2012 from the showroom floor. While other places quoted me triple what Maaco charged, all because they told me its an Audi so it needs specialized paint. Andrew treated me fairly and did a PHENOMENAL job.

Andy helped me come up with a plan to restore my 71 #F250. The work they did was great. Truck turned out great.

I picked a special paint color and they did a great paint job. Would recommend them to my friends.

Worst service I have ever had. Manager never called regarding the status and damages of my vehicle. I had to wait 3 weeks and had to contact the shop myself. Which was an annoyance to the manager. Who is beyond rude and had 0 customer service skills. When I finally went to pick my car up, the manager almost hit another vehicle while pulling out mine out. As well as almost hitting one of his employees. He acted as though nothing was wrong. Had to bring my vehicle back because not everything was done that I had paid for. Worst experience EVER!!

Horrible experience. Brought in my car for an estimate. Gentleman who did my estimate was very nice and friendly. Gave me a very good estimate and I dropped my car off the following day. Only to have the shop manager call me and say he cant honor the estimate price and said it would be an upwards of $900+. Told me to come pick my car up. Horrible service wasted my time. Shop manager needs to be disciplined on management skills. However service estimator was the only nice one their. Shop manager name was Andy!!! AVOID THIS PLACE!!!!!!

I wanted to get my car painted, and a lot of rust needed to be fixed. All other body shops asked for outrageous prices. Maaco has some bad reviews, but I decided to give them a try. I cannot be more pleased with the final product. They did a great job and at a reasonable price! My 8 used to be brilliant black, now shes pearl white thanks to Maaco!

They forgot to reconnect my fuel evap system after removing my rear bumper.Had to pay extra hundred to a mechanic to diagnose why my check engine kept coming on......

Worst experience ever took my vehicle over here Chevy Tahoe for the back hatch to be replaced in the front bumper have my parts delivered there my bumper came up missing June 16th they said it was there my hatch weather a week later I call back now my hatch is there but my bumper was it so now I called the people Keystone they inform me for sure my bumper was delivered there but they didnt have it so now they had to send me out another bumper I went there and waited so the bumper was delivered I left my truck they took off all of my Tahoe signs and then put them back on the back they claim they broke but theyre professionals so how could you break them call the dealer to try to replace them look at the words Tahoe is 40 dollars and the word flex fuel thats $ 80 their attitude about everything was crazy I paid additional $150 for them to take off my moldings and paint them and was asked by Slava did I pay to put them back on theyre inside my truck they went inside my glove Department I had an envelope inside of it with my bill of sale and along with the receipts for Maaco now theyre missing I dont recommend nobody the go to the Maaco on Oakton Street in Des Plaines very shady business and I do not appreciate it and I want my Tahoe sign and the flex-fuel sign their logos they took them off my truck and then put them back it had the nerve to tell me they threw it away which I dont believe just like I believe they received my first bumper and said they did not

I had went to 3 other places for a quote and all of them were well over what Maaco in Des Plaines Illinois quoted.I just had some rust cut out and new metal welded in and the transition looks very nice.They painted the complete car and it looks beautiful .After I got my car back my wife and I decided they should do some work on her car.I would like to thank any staff that worked on my car. THANK YOU great job.Im sure if I need more work done in the future I will go back to them.Marty

I took my 2008 Ford Escape and I was going to get only my bumper painted. I actually needed a new fender as well. When I arrived to get a quote I was greeted by the owner and he convinced me to have both repaired at the same time. I couldnt afford to do both since another shop had given me a quote of $1500.00. He worked with me on the price and the work was excellent. So happy the way my car looks now. I will recommend this shop to EVERYONE I know!

My Toyota Corolla is in good mechanical condition, but it had so many scrapes and parking lot dents that I thought it would cost a lot to do body repairs and a new paint job. I got a great estimate from Andrew, and he said there was no need to repaint the whole car. I didnt have to make an appointment to bring it in. He said I could leave it with him, and it would take just a few days. I felt there was no need to get more estimates, and I didnt have to wait for a few days to bring it in, which was very convenient. It was ready when Andrew said it would be. When I picked it up, my first comment was that it looked right out of the showroom. The scrapes and dents were gone, and the car looked as good as new. For what it cost to repair, the value of the car has gone way up.

Excellent job removing a moderate dent from the quarter panel of car. The body line dent was seamless like new and paint job perfect. Did take one day longer than expected but well worth the wait for the job well done.

I came in yesterday with my 09 police interceptor that had a torn up front bumper from a previous accident. I called a few places to have my new bumper installed and everyone quoted me between $200-500 just to put the new bumper on. My mechanic recommended this Maaco to me so I gave them a call. Jose the shop manager answered and explained over the phone that they could remove the broken front bumper and install my new bumper for $100.80 which was by far the best price I had received. An hour later I was there and just as Jose had said they had me in and out within an hour and I paid $100.80 just as Jose quoted me over the phone. Jose was friendly and provided great service I will be back to potentially have both my cars painted.

Great Customer Service.I got into a car accident where the front bumper of my car was heavily damaged, I thought it would cost a lot more than it did. I went to another body shop in the area and they said almost double of what Maaco did.When I first went in they inspected the damage that was done to the front of the car. After we went inside and sat down with one of the people that works there and he showed me what parts that he is going to order. After the parts came and they painted the bumper they installed everything in a very short period. My car had never looked as it did, looked like they also washed the car because there was no snow on it.In the end I was very pleased about the work they did and the money that I saved by going to Maaco. Highly recommend if you are looking to save some money and get great service.

I went in to paint my rear Jeep Wrangler fenders considering the low cost advertising. Andrew or Andry said to me he can’t do anything about the scuffs due to fender material and he would paint it with no warranty. I said that’s fine. For 2 wrangler rear fenders he quoted me at 250 my jaw dropped. These fenders if you lay em flat they’re about the size of half a car front bumper not even. He then asked what I would like to pay I took my fenders and left. The weirdest body shop experience I’ve ever had.

Jose the manager helped us out as we needed a bumper replacement. He was able to give a good price. Service was great. They were able to accommodate all of our requests. The bumper turned out perfect. Color was properly matched and installed quick.After shopping around we went with Maacos. They are the best in the area. I hope I dont have to go back for repairs again anytime soon but Maacos is on my list for great service and great prices.

Horrible horribleWel the guys that did the estimate Tel’s you one thing when you go to pick up the car it’s horrible, had to redo the car 3 times car was there over a month ago wen finally ready was asked to pay 760 extra for the work.They tel you you have warranty payed $2360 dollars for the paint job wen you bring it back they tel you you have to bring it by south side somewhere by another Macoo.This older polish guy with glasses that sits in the office is supposenly the manager ore whatever the biggest fu..face everrrr wat a thief dus not deliver what he promises.

If you are looking for a good place to take your workhorse in, this is the place to be. Expect nothing but honest and reliable service from the staff at Maaco in Des Plaines. I am going to specifically highlight my communication with the office’s manager Kahn. Kahn is a very approachable and knowledgeable salesman. If you were to present an issue to him, he will go through multiple solutions that fit your needs.For my issue, my wife had scraped the side of my beloved 4Runner on a Friday night. I quickly got the incident quoted the following Saturday morning, and was able to schedule a drop off that Monday. Kahn had wisely overstated what he believed the estimated completion time to be, and I was surprised and thankful for the completion of the project on Tuesday Afternoon. For the quote, we worked together on three possible solutions of good, better, and best. And we worked together on the computer and at the car to go over what specific work would give me the best value for my money. Overall quality of the work is very high, and the car looks even better than when I had taken it in.In addition, he and his team were able to effectively correct many of the mistakes that were caused by my cost saving YouTube initiatives. With that being said guys, DO NOT TRY AND SAVE MONEY, don’t watch YouTube videos and attempt to perform autobody work on your own. It goes way beyond sanding and spraying with a can, and there is a lot more attention to detail than an untrained professional would be willing to invest in terms of time and effort. Save yourself money, come here and work on finding out what fits your budget and needs. Honest people like Kahn will help you.

Great paint service at a great price. Andrew and team did an amazing job on my maroon 2007 Civic to restore it to its original glory after another body shop replaced the bumpers and hood which were scraped/rusting.

Terrible Experience. Andy provided one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. The haggle over the paint price was filled with anger and intimidation tactics on his part. When I had to call to see if the parts were ready, I was told to come and pick them up. The parts were not ready when I arrived, only 5 of the six parts were finished—I had to return the next day. George, the office clerk was very nice. I can get parts painted at a lot of places, why would I go somewhere that has bad customer service?

I love my new car! I took my white 2005 ML 350 to Maaco in Des Plaines to have some rust spots “fixed.” Because I don’t drive a lot, my 13-year-old car doesn’t have a lot of miles on it and is overall in good shape. But the rust started becoming very prominent and I didn’t enjoy driving my car any longer. When I took it to Maaco in Des Plaines, I was hoping to have the spots patched somehow and painted over. But I did not expect to get my car back looking like new!! The whole car was painted, it’s beautiful and shiny, and no signs of rust! Amazing job Andrzej, David, and team!

This place is a scam, run away from it as soon as possible!. Andrew the owner is a con artist waiting to steal money from your pocket as soon as possible. I wish be able to mark this place with 0 starts.

Had told them I was dropping my car off to get it on Tuesday. I was told to come on in. Tuesday morning I drive from chicago to Des plaines in am traffic to drop off the car. The Owner refused to take my car. Saying he is busy. I know it was a small $400 paint job thats was needed not. Big project of thats what he was expecting. This guy was rude and would not give me a reason. I was confused to what happened to come on it. Lets teach this guy that there are other places that do the same thing. Please help boycott this place.

I took my 1989 supra to get a estimate done on some rust that I had on the rear inside & outside of my wheel wells & some rust inside of the spare wheel well in the trunk along with some minor surface rust on the drivers side door anyhow Andrew the manager and some other guy came out to take a look at my rust concerns and give me a price well instead of being professional and telling me its gonna cost you this and this much & be up front with me on how much there work will cost since they should already know how much it will cost them for there work and time to do the repair just by examining the car they keep asking me how much do I think the job should cost like I was suppose to guess the price like if they wanted to feel out how much money they can rip off from me it was like I was a car dealer getting attacked by sharks telling me look at all the money you put in to the car and that I should do whatever I can to save the car being very pushy about the whole situation after like 20 mins of rushing me for a price they finally told me a whopping charge of $5000 dollars which was ridiculous and that any other shop will charge me $8000 dollars to do this kind of repair wow what a bunch of crooks so I left and went to three other highly recommended places and their quotes ran from the $1400 to $1850 dollar price range so I do not recommend this place unless you wanna get robbed or your rich and got a lot of money to burn so save yourself your time & avoid this place by all costs and go to a much more respectable auto body shop your money,time & car are worth it

I came here, hoping to get a cheap paint job for an old car. The worker was very friendly. However, he told me it would cost me at least $800.00. I didnt want a perfect paint job, just something to even out the faded spots. No paint job for me 😔

I was at the gas station to fill up gas but my gas door lever was not engaging. The release wire to the lever was loose and I  needed to borrow a plier to pull the wire out for the gas door to open.  Went inside the gas station to ask if they had a plier but didnt so recommended me to Maaco. Right then clerk saw the Andy from Maaco and called him over to see if he can help. Then Andy told me to drive across.  When I got there I thought he was going to lend me the piler so I could unlatch the wire for the door to open but Andy went ahead and used the piler himself to pull the wire. That was done in less then 5 sec. Andy became cocky+rude said I owe him $10 & It was the easiest $10 hes ever made AND thats his lunch money.  I ask him if he was serious and he said NOTHING IS FREE! When asking for help and you act willing to help you should not ask for a compensation after the task is done. I didnt ask him to inspect the issue but had told him I just needed the tool to get it open. I didnt want to put myself at his level and gave him $10 & told him Ill never step foot into Maaco shop! Went back to get gas and told the clerk to never refer anyone to Maaco + Andy!I do not recommend anyone to Maaco for auto repair work of any kind. If Andy was genuinely helping he would not ask for $10. Bc it was a 5 sec not complicated task. I just needed 1 tool to unlatch the gas door. He was not upfront about cost prior to bringing my car across the street.  If he was upfront about cost I would have gone to Napa a block down the street and  would have been able to barrow their tools free of charge.  Please share and make them famous for being dishonest mechanics.

Horrible Horrible customer Service !! We took our car two weeks ago and spoke with guy name Frank Marta, ok, he went over our car (no damage no dings ) we just wanted to repaint it so we can handed down to our son who turned 18 this month, Frank was ok and gave us instead of advertised price $299 he quoted us $660.87, even though it was an up sell we decided to go with them but told Frank we need two weeks to arrange rental so when we drop car off we have back up car, so this Monday i called to check what time we can drop off our car, gentleman with heavy Indian accent answered the phone and promised to let his manager guy name Andy to call us back, ok np, Andy called me and confirmed that he got our estimate and we can drop off car this Thursday .Now the fun part stars ?! We ( me and my wife and 9 yr old kid ) went to Maaco Des Plaines, walked inside and were greeted by this guy Andy who was really cocky and arrogant, after i showed him WRITTEN Estimate given and printed by his Employee he started cussing the guy and finally he said Frank is sick and he went to California to get his treatment ?? What kind a employer talks like this about his Employee ??so after short discussion he says he has to go outside and Re-Estimate again, came back with a price of $1100 !!!! Original Estimate was $660 inc tax ?? I told him thats not what we were expecting since Frank estimate was reasonable we are not sure if we wanna do it his way, he then proclaims that Frank was FIRED ???Wooow at that time me and my wife decided that this guy keep lying to us from the minute we stepped inside his Office, if you can imagine how bad we felt after being lied for almost an hour :( if you wanna be cheated and LIED to go to this guy otherwise stay away !!! He will Lie and Cheat you like nobody ever in your Life !

Three things you should espect : Rude behaviour from Andrew, unprofessionalism, colours wont match! Also if he gives you an estimate you like make sure you have it on paper, quote will change next time you go! After all you get what you pay for...

I wish I would have read more reviews before taking my car in. I decided to go to the closest Maaco and they were very friendly and confident about the outcome - I needed body work and a paint job on a white Ford. Promised to have finished in 1 week. One week goes by and I call and Andrew says, itll be ready in 2 days. 2 days go by and he says one more day. We go to pick it up on that day and its still not ready - he claims his mechanic didnt show up. Now its Labor weekend and they are closed for 2 more days. Finally almost 2-1/2 weeks later we pick up the car and its just an ok job. Still dents in the side which he refunded me on. Should have been fixed with the other dents! Lack of communication, poor management and an ok job warrants a meh ok review. He gave me his business card on the way out and I handed it back to him saying, I wont be needing this. Will not be returning or recommending to anyone. Disappointment because many promises were made and not kept.
