Staff was polit but don’t show up without a pre-printed shipping label. They have no printing services and cannot scan the shipping label from your phone to send a package. Very disappointing in a digital age that these services are not available, even for a fee.

The woman working the checkout desk in the morning at this FedEx location was the rudest representative I have ever encountered in 12 years of shipping through FedEx. Literally thousands of trips and transactions across different FedEx stores. She was impatient and extremely rude. The downtown location has been closed so my hand was forced today. I will never go to this location again. I am appalled by the way she treated me.

I would give them 0 stars if that was an option. They made 3 failed attempts to deliver a package I had to sign for. They kept taking it to the wrong address even after I called and told them it was going to the wrong place and they still kept doing it! Will now have to drive over an hour to pick it up from the facility.

As far as I could find, this is the only place in the entire greater Des Moines region to get Federal Express express service on a Saturday. You should figure out where it is and how you plan to get there before trying to find it the first time. Friendly people will promptly help you take care of your business.

If I did give them no stars I would. On a Thursday I paid for one day shipping a $16 for a package to be delivered Friday at 8 p.m. it is now Monday and I still havent received my package. Ive called FedEx customer service for different times and other coming up with excuses due to government regulations and covid as why my package is late. This company should not offer one day shipping they cannot provide it. Covid has been going on for over a year and they should know that ship times are going to be longer so they should not even bother offering quick ship times if they know that they cannot provide that as a company. Theyre also not open on the weekend so I dont even know why they bother being a company at all. FedEx should just go out of business because theyre terrible company and cant provide the ship times that they offer and people pay for which is fraud if you do not provide the services I paid for.

Worst FedEx ever! Just like other complaints I have had similarl experience multiple times! The driver never delivers my packages says there was an attempted delivery however there never is. I am always home. And the driver does not bother to read the instructions added. If he ever did he would be able to deliver my packages. I have called and spoken with supervisors multiple times and filed complaints however this keeps happening. I dont know what else to do.

Your Fed Ex truck just blew through the red light on 1st ST and Court Avenue. He nearly T-boned my side door. He didnt even slow down he just blew through the red light turning right from Water /1st ST onto Court Ave. When the Fed Ex trucks return to the Grimes warehouse they blaze through the red lights at I-80 on Douglas in Urbandale. They then drive 55 in a 35 and turn right on 128th. I photograph their trucks when they nearly t-boned me there. I post the pics on rate-driver.com. This summer I saw a Fed Ex driver on Douglas driving with his leg clear out the open door by the wheel trying to stay cool.

I received an email at 1355 saying my package was deilvered at 0942. No package was delivered to my door nor my mail box. I was home all day and my camera never picked up any fedex employee. I have been in and out of my apartment all day and not one package was left at the front door, which doesnt make sense since there are 4 doors to this unit and there is only one Apartment #1. This level of service even during the holidays is ridiculously sub par and will definitely make me consider alternate shipping businesses in the future.

I only deal with this place if I have to. Last time I was there I needed to drop off a package and was told only 2 people in the building at a time but my package was big so I couldnt just stand outside and there was no carts. But 2 other white people with one package the white clerk let them bring in their smaller package. When I confronted her, she said, thats the way it is.

Paid for overnight and 2 days later its still at the store i took it to. Took forever to get a representative on the phone. We could of put it in regular mail 10 times over for the price we paid. No offer of a refund or to come get my package back. 😡

On multiple occasions Ive had packages marked as unable to be delivered and attempted delivery by drivers who clearly didnt bother to look at the delivery instructions.I live in a small 6-unit apartment building with a locked front door, and a back entrance with keyless entry that FedEx has the code to, and their drivers should all know where to leave the packages.Its very frustrating getting a delivery attempted message saying that they couldnt get access to the building, when I know full well that our back door keypad was working fine, and that they couldve gotten inside if they had just followed the directions.

Ive been a FedEx customer for over 20 years before relocating to the Des Moines area several years ago. Ive always been impressed with their professional conduct and timely package handling.Sadly, this is the worst FedEx office Ive known. They are unreliable as a delivery team and, having had stellar service all over the country in the past, it has to be the management of this location not performing well. Time to make a change!

Driver said he delivered here however there was no doorbell, no knock or anything. I call to complain since it was 10 minutes later that I got the text saying I missed the delivery and they tell me I can pick up myself or wait until tomorrow for them to lie about delivering. I call back, they lie to me AGAIN saying the driver came back and tried again... WHILE I WAS ON THE PHONE WITH THEM. Good job guys, apparently Des Moines fedex just cant handle the job. Oh yeah, when I asked for a supervisor to file my complaint with, I was told they cannot forward my call because it is not medical related. These guys are the worst.

This place is horrible. Package in Des Moines for 2 days then they say they attempted to deliver when people were home and didnt at all. Driver lied and told cooperate they couldnt make deliver cause of a white van parked in street. Yep sure is a mediacom van on the street with the rest of the street empty... failed to receive Xmas gift....

This FedEx is the worst place! Have sent my packages to the wrong address on numerous times! I am waiting for a missing package to get located now. Driver claimed he left package in front of door. I live inside a secured building. He can not get to my door without getting buzzed in. These drivers need to be trained. Very awful service here! If I could give a no star I would have done that!!

I have been waiting for a package since June 25th, it is now August. I have talked to a total of 12 FedEx members/agents and not one seems to know what’s going on with my package or give me a delivery date. It’s $125 worth of summer clothes I won’t even get to wear this summer.🙃 Not to mention I paid an extra $20 for express shipping.. here we are 2 months later.

One thing I didnt like was I had to find help because there was no one behind the counter, also no staff could see me at the counter. However, the store was near empty not just slow but seriously I think 2 other people in there besides me probably due to the weather so I can understand running with a skeleton crew. Once I got help the people were great. They even took the package out to my car for me, as I walk with a cane and would have been quite difficult and painful for me to carry out.

A package was delivered to my home and not the correct home. Called customer service and was transferred to an individual with a distinct accent that I had difficulty understanding. He was asked to speak more slowly and continued to rattle on. If FedEx is going to have customer service representatives that are from a foreign country they should be taught understandable English !

Horrible customer service and the lady that answers the phone at 6pm was incredibly unprofessional. Get a new job, this isnt for you. Late shipment, no door tag (even though the driver said he put one on my door) and FedEx refuses to call customers ahead of time on large deliveries like this. I live an hour away and cant just pick it up. Considering I have a massive order that requires a FedEx truck in the first place. Ill never deal with this company again.

TWO recent experiences... both complete failures by any measure.1. I work from home for MetLife. My supervisor sent me a package addressed to MyName, MetLife, at MyHomeAddress (clearly marked in the To box). The package didnt arrive.About 2 weeks after I was expecting it, someone from the MetLife Office nearby contacted me because the package was sent there (to the MetLife office) instead of to my address. Annoying, but understandable; just seeing METLIFE on the package could stop them from reading the actual address and drop it with other packages at the MetLife building.2. I was overnighted a replacement laptop due to technical issues I was having. FedEx claims to have attempted delivery on the expected day. I was home and working in my office that day and time with a loud dog that barks at anything in front of the house - AND a clear view of the front yard, plus I was hyper-aware since I was EXPECTING a delivery. No delivery was attempted. No delivery attempt notice; nothing. THEN, it sat in the local shipment center for a week without any contact nor any delivery attempts. Following up, I got the run-around on the phone and a promise that well look into it and give you a call. I guess well see...UPDATE: 2 hours after I posted this review, the package was left on the doorstep. They did not knock or ring the doorbell; just left it on the front porch.

Driver just came to my house, rang my RING doorbell, got in the truck and say in my driveway. I have cancer so I went over intercom and asked them to leave package. Got up out of bed and nothing. No package, no note, nothing. I call FedEx, and no scheduled package. No ok

The manager asked that I do not send my orders through the online service and use the self service printer. When I tried that and it didn’t work she made it difficult to do it in store and then I was assessed a digital enhancement fee making the job 5x more expensive. I won’t be back

Well all Im gonna say very disappointed saw that my package was here opened my door cause it was a pretty big package the guy was kinda struggling then i noticed that he had a cigarette hanging out of his mouth which i think is really disgusting and when i got my package into my house it smelled really bad like cigarette smoke!!! I had to take it out of the box and throw my box out on to my deck!! Very disappointed never had i ever had this problem before.

There was an important company package that needed to be delivered the date it was stated to arrive via tracking. I been waiting around the door to listen for a knock. I cooked something to eat and as I was eating it, someone came in the door and said there was a note outside the door from FedEx. I called the 800 # to have it redelivered, they said they cant after 1PM. At time the note was left, it was after 2PM. I made a complaint to the FedEx location in Des Moines on SW7th St after driving there that same night. The woman said she would find out more about it. Nothing changed. The next day, the truck was spotted coming to make another delivery. The FexEx person came up to the door, and again, did not knock, left the package and went back down the stairs to the building and drove off. I even had a sign posted on the door to knock LOUD but they didnt even knock at all. Someone was by the door when they knew they were here.

I was expecting a package today from AT&T, I check my email and see they claimed to have tried to make a delivery, yet I was home, and my apartment faces the parking lot where they would come in at. They claimed to have left a door tag yet no door tag was left. Its pretty sad that a company like FedEx has gotten so lazy that they mark a package as no one was home instead of actually climbing a few flights of stairs.

Horrible customer service. I talked to Annette on the phone and she was not willing to answer any of my questions. She gave me the address of a nearby fedex location and said “thanks for calling have a nice day” when I asked her a question of when my delievery would be available to pick up. Not helpful at all. Then she put me on hold for a long time when I asked to speak to someone else and nobody ever picked back up.

Service was horrible. I got a package delivered and the guy left it at the bottom of my front stairs in my yard. My mom who just had knee surgery had to drag it up the stairs by herself. Then I called and complained and the delivery driver called me back and left me a message saying it must have flew down the stairs. I will never do business with FedEx again.
