Super friendly and helpful staff. Store is always clean and never too busy. Staff is always willing to help you, whether its with questions or where to find items. And even give suggestions when needed.

The salon stylists are INCREDIBLE. You can book with any of them and leave feeling amazing. Sherie, Keeva, ash, Hannah, and Deseree are all so talented. Plus you can see Zoe the brow expert and get a brow wax and tint as well. Super staffed salon! 10/10!!

I just want to give a shout out to my hairdresser there! Sheree is amazing. The first time I scheduled with her she was super genuine and helped me figure out what exactly I wanted done with my hair. I still go to her now and she is great! She makes you feel comfortable and truly cares. I love that she explains what she is doing and gets excited about it with me! Youre awesome Sheree!! :)

Katie (Kathleen when you book online) did an AMAZING job on my makeup this past Saturday. I had a photography session scheduled and she knew exactly what type of makeup would work best for the camera. She was kind, quick, listened to what I wanted and delivered amazing results. I felt so confident going into the session! My photographer even called the store to get her info so she could recommend Katie to her future clients!

I’m a former employee. Went to take items back that had been gifts. Cashier asked me for other people’s numbers to return under- I told her that’s a fraudulent return. I told her I would take in-store credit instead. A manager came to help and then took over the transaction. A second manager, Nissa, came up to cashier as well, even though they had 2 cashiers there. Nissa said “Oh I heard you were here.” How did she hear I was there when I walked in and went straight to the counter? After the return was done, my husband and I left to do some shopping. Upon walking back out of the store, not a single person was on the sales floor and only one cashier back up front. I guess if you previously work for Ulta, you’re labeled a criminal and they watch you, but leave the floor when you leave the store. Guess I’ll drive out of my way to go to Sephora from now on!

I absolutely love this place! As soon as you walk in you are greeted with a friendly face. The associates are helpful, but they arent pushy like other stores. I can ask about any product and they know exactly what they are talking about. I also love the Benefit Brow Bar. Top notch customer service.

Prices are high than I would like but they usually have what I need in stock so getting it quickly trumps waiting for it online. Staff is always friendly and ready to tell me how to get a discount in a product or drop ship something to my home if they dont have in stock. Large selection if mens cologne and other products which is why I go. I like the sniff and feel test which is also better than online.

Couldnt find the one item I was looking for and they went to the back and found me the LAST one, brilliant!

The store is clean and fairly well-maintained. The selection offered is good, and there are always sales on quality products. Unfortunately, the service is hit or miss. On some of my visits, the staff have been very friendly and helpful. On others, they have been hard to find - or worse, deliberately turned and pretended not to see me when I was in need of assistance.

Usually when I come to this Ulta, it’s a great experience and my favorite one to go to in the area. However, lately, the employees have been extremely rude to the point where I don’t feel comfortable going in anymore. It’s very obvious they don’t get along and act catty to one another as well as treat the customers with the same attitude. A good friend of mine used to work there and said it was terrible and almost all of the other employees were mean. My boyfriend, who almost always joins me on my trips to Ulta, almost stepped in to say something when I was trying to check out because the person helping us was so rude, making me flustered to the point where I dropped my wallet. Honestly Ulta is supposed to be a place where everyone can feel accepted for however they choose to express themselves with makeup but it’s quite the opposite. I was gonna give one star but the other one is for the few very kind employees who make it worth dealing with the other ones.

Visited for the first time yesterday in search of a particular brand/product. The staff was very helpful and friendly! They also eagerly pointed out really great sale...I ended up buying those products, too! 😊

I called to find out if they carried Dyson hair dryer attachments. I was told no but to try Target. I explained to the young lady on the phone this is a 400.00 hair dryer and this blow dryer does not take universal attachments. The clerk should know about the products they carry!

My wife loves this location. It is conveniently located in Merle Hay Mall, which even if the mall itself has seen better days, theres still plenty in the area around the mall worth making the trip for.The store itself is usually well organized, with plenty of products in stock, with a good selection. The customer service here is usually a little nicer than the Jordan Creek location as well.

I shop here regularly. I wish the store was kept stocked better, but they do carry everything you could ever need, they just dont always have it on your first trip. I will say the staff seem very well informed and always have a good recommendation for me.

At first I was a little weary from the poor customer service but after a while they really did try to help me which makes me think it was just a little hiccup, since the place did seem extremely busy and I just walked in with no appointment. And in a hurry to get somewhere.I got my eyebrows done and loved them! I usually get them threaded but she shaped and waxed them to perfection! I felt like I was paying for a quality service and that turned out to be great!I was a tad bit frustrated at the salon there for a second because the senior designer refused to do my hair for the first - timer $30 deal.(She wasnt even doing anything) but another designer did it (Doreen)? If thats how you spell it did an AMAZING job! I usually hate getting my hair cut because they never do what I want but she absolutely KILLED IT (as in she did a fantastic job) Best hair cut I have ever received. I am so in love with it. Next time you think about getting your hair cut an styled ask for her!I feel great now thanks ladies for taking care of me last minute!

Im visiting family in Iowa, I live in Georgia where I know my Ulta store setup. I was having trouble finding a hair product when an angel named Vanada came to my rescue. She was very helpful, I was also needing help in finding something for my eyebrows. I had in my bag what I thought I needed, but when I explained my situation she redirected me. Then she showed me how to use the product & did my brows for me. She made sure that all my questions were answered & if I needed or wanted to find anything else. I left there feeling great.

Katie does an amazing 10 minute facial! All the staff are very helpful & friendly.

I’m a little disappointed on how ulta beauty has become just due to the brow services and the prices. I payed to get my brows wax, lip waxed and my brows tinted and my brows literally are the same color they are not darker or anything. And they wax job was horrible, she really didn’t even touch my brows like I went home a tweezed then cause she just clean up anything. I’m so upset that I actually wanna call for a refund, but no ones answering the phone. Im am really upset cause I love ulta so much I use to work there, that’s my family, but to many new people in and it’s not the same.

Love ulta, good convenient place in the mall, but they have poor customer service, and never know when anything is going to be restocked. recommend the one on the West Side of Des Moines for sure.

My girlfriend and I went to get some different products and decided to go to Ulta. We only got talked to once and thats right when we walked in. Other than that the employees almost made it obvious as to not make eye contact or even say hello. It made the shopping experience awkward and uncomfortable. It was almost like we werent wanted. To say the least i am very dissatisfied and disappointed.

I gave a 2 star because I entered the store and was not greeted by any of the associates. I wandered around looking at eye palletes for about 15 minutes before anyone approached me. I was asked if there was anything I was looking for. I told the associate I wanted a pallete with pink, purple, black and browns and she told me she didnt know of any and that I would be better off spending more and making my own pallete. She then asked if I needed anything else. I said no. I gathered 4 pallets I found and each had something different than the other and asked the cashiers which they liked and which is better quality and worth the money. They looked and gave their opinion of what would work best for what I need. They were MORE than helpful versus the associate on the floor.

I like make up but this store is a little confusing and when I ask about products I am immediately directed to the most expensive line of product. Thats a little annoying.

Today is the first time I have been to this place.Very friendly staff.My girl is Ash..she knows about what she is doing.I was worried about handing over my long hair.But she kept the length and had done a great job.Clean and organized place compared to Sephora.

Great as usual

I went to the brow bar here and the lady completely messed up my eyebrows. First off the wax ripped off my skin, then my eyebrows are extremely uneven in thickness and length, and to top it all off I spent $26. Definitely will not go back.

Had a decent selection but when we tried to pay for the foundation (the store had no customers but us) no one came to the counter and we waited for 5 minutes while the employees just looked at us. We never got the foundation and we left

First time dying my hair. Going dark black/brown to a dark red. I could not tell the red was in my hair but it was there. (tip: go a shade lighter) than what you want. The first lady to do the initial coloring told me Id need it redone in 4 months. I went back to get it a lighter red (what I thought I was getting). The second lady said Id need to come back in 2 months. The second job did make my hair lighter but it also made it half red, half orange. The orange did wash out but now its a strange mixture of reds with some blond spots. As a person new to hair coloring, I would have liked a little more explanation as to what color to pick and the after effects. I did not like getting the surprise that the dye would rinse out the first few days. Or, according to the second lady, the first week. So confusing.

My experience with Ulta was with an employee, not the store itself. An Ulta employee wearing her name tag from the Merle Hay Mall came into my workplace (a Starbucks in the mall) and proceeded to be very difficult to deal with when she couldnt use a coupon she didnt have in the first place. When offered a different drink, she was very impatient and critical. She felt the need to tell us how to do our job. she was very rude. She was representing her companya very bad light!

I have seen several reviews about bad service but Ive been to this location 100 times and always gotten kind employees. Stack deals if you can! Check your email always to see if you have a 20% off coupon! They have flash deals that are only a few hours sometimes so you really have to watch sometimes.

I so love Ulta, this store has great service, there is always someone to help you. The only downfall, there is so little space to walk around, so crowded.

Id never been in an Ulta beauty before this visit so I didnt know just what to expect. The selection of brands and products suprised me. Staff approached me asking if they could help, I told them what I was looking for and they guided me right to the items. I went in looking for gifts and left with that as well as a gift for myself!
