Great experience at Slumberland on Army Post. I had called ahead to see what options I would have in purchasing a recliner for my 92 year old mom. When we arrived later to check recliners out, Tyler took us to exactly what we wanted. He and his co-worker were funny, helpful, and knowledgeable. I could not have asked for a better experience. Great options, great price, and fabulous service.

When we bought our new house, we increased in size threefold. We knew we were going to have to furnish it over time. I have particular tastes and honestly didnt envision shopping at a chain furniture showroom.However, we met our new neighbor (the district manager for Slumberland) and he clued us in that they were having their friends and family sale that weekend. First on our list of furnishings was a new bed. We downsized from a king to a full to show the home we sold and we wanted back in a king asap.When we got to the store, we were greeted by Tyler who introduced himself, told us about the sale and then allowed us to peruse the store. When he saw we were looking at beds, he came over, introduced himself again and asked if we knew what we wanted (we didnt).Tyler did a fantastic job helping us pick out the right bed. He spent an hour or more walking through our options with us. We didnt feel any sort of pressure or upselling. And though the beds werent on sale, Tyler made sure we got the best deals available. As a result of his excellent service, we were quite happy and even ended up buying a sofa and coffee table too. Highly recommend this location.

We had a good experience at Slumberland @ Army Post Road in Des Moines. Tyler showed us all the available models with pros and cons for my needs. He gave us plenty of time on our own to try out the mattresses and make a selection. We chose a Stearns & Foster (most expensive one, naturally). The check out was easy. Now we have to wait a few weeks to see if the mattress measures up!

2 items I ordered arrived, one was damaged seconds from being brought into my residence due to negligence of a lackadaisical employee. I was told they would discount the item and then send a new one.They painted over the damage and brought it back to me, charging me for a THIRD time on the item. Contacted them several times with no resolution. The bank they finance with investigated my claim over a 4 month period without contacting me ONCE and denied my claim. I own 2 items, one damaged and painted over, and I was charged for three.Save yourself trouble and money and dont buy anything from this dishonest business. Go to Homemakers instead. Lesson learned.

We purchased a bed frame and were treated well. All styles were explained and priced. Our only objection is that the directions printed on the box were not plain.

Great staff with no pressure to purchase. I went in for a daybed with trundle and got exactly what I was looking for. Delivery may not be as fast as Amazon (weve been spoiled) but within a week is still pretty good.

I didnt feel that I was being financially taken advantage of like usually sales people do. he honored all of the discounts. the only thing I didnt like was having sales people with masks on it was unnerving I dont wear a mask and I dont like that. it ruined my shopping experience.

I love this Slumberland location. They have a great selection of furniture and they have ADAM. He is so personable and knowledgeable. He doesnt pressure you to buy anything, but is always willing to offer suggestions/alternatives that are helpful, especially if youre just not quite sure what you want. When I was told I would get a couch instead of a loveseat like was paid for I thought I was getting a new couch instead I get a couch that is damaged with no legs. I have contacted Slumberland numerous times about this with no response so now I am stuck with a couch I cant get rid of because I am only one person. If youre looking at getting furniture I would go to Homemakers or Nebraska Furniture Mart because its obvious Slumberland doesnt care about its customers or its furniture.

Love shopping there. The staff was very helpful and I was able to check out the lift recliners without someone standing around watching me sit in the chairs. Found just what I wanted and the salesman was available when I was ready. Nice guy! Good selection. I will be back later to pick out furniture for the TV room.

Met by salesman who directed us to the recliners. He immediately let us know that due to Covid19 the warehouse did not have much in stock & orders were taking 6-12 weeks for delivery. I asked if scratch/dent/returns were available for cash & carry. He had one midsize available in the clearance section offered us extra $100 off price. Paid for it, picked it up in back at customer pick up door. We were in & out in less then 30 min with a new recliner.

I went in to do some research for a queen mattress for a spare bedroom because I didnt want to depend primarily on the internet. A mattress you need to see, touch, and feel. I had also been looking into an adjustable base for my king mattress for several months but found online the ones I would like to be very expensive, so I never pulled the trigger on that. I talked to Bret and he showed me options, answered my questions, and never pressured me or pushed me in any direction, just gave me the answers I needed. I went to two other places and found them to be more expensive and got that used car salesman vibe (sorry used car salesman!). One of the mattresses I looked at with Bret came with an adjustable base for free. I went in just looking for a queen mattress, not even knowing if I need a box or not ( I got a frame/headboard through a Home Depot promotion but didnt know if I would need a base or if it came with provisions to hold the mattress by itself. It arrived and found out I did need a box). I ended up back at Slumberland a few days later and Bret helped me out and went above and beyond by giving me a good deal, upgrading the queen box at the same price as the standard one and throwing in a mattress protector as well for the king (yes, I ended up buying for both bedrooms!). I hauled the queen set home and he helped me load it up. The king will be delivered and set up for me in a few weeks at no cost. We will see how that goes and I will update my review after I have slept on each of them a few times and give specifics of what the mattresses models are, etc. So far I am very pleased with my experience.

We walked into Slumberland. Adam greeted us in a friendly manner. We told him what we were looking for. He guided us to that part of the store, told us some needed information about levels of comfort in the different mattresses, and then he left us to browse. Adam returned to assist when we had a few questions. We are completely satisfied with our purchases and the price. I highly recommend Adam as his assistance was never in a pushy salesman manner and Adams help was exceptional!!

The store was clean. The employees were helpful and friendly. Our associate tried to find what we needed. Not a lot of luck. The pricing was and sale pricing was the problem. It was a bit confusing and didnt make sense. Overall this was the best slumberland visit. Give this location a try.

Bought a loveseat from them online and it said at the time 5-6 weeks. I had to message them about the loveseat and that is when they messaged me back that it would be 12-13 weeks yet the website never said that but they tried to say it did. I got a response from the owner saying someone would review my complaint and that they would follow-up but nobody ever did which just shows me how much they care about their customers. From now on I will be shopping elsewhere because I know Homemakers and Nebraska Furniture Mart actually care about their customers.
