Pizza is severely salty. How ruined can ones palate be in order to make something this salty?? Im upset. I ordered a pepperoni, basil and garlic. Sooo salty. Not edible. I also took a chicken Parm sandwich..also salty but not as severe. Was edible at least or else Id have no dinner . Awful. I do not recommend. I threw my money in the trash on this one.

Benny Blanco’s is the best pizza in Denver if you appreciate traditional NY Style Pizza. They load up the toppings and cheese and it’s delicious every time. Wings are great too. People complain about it being too salty but they just lack flavor themselves, Benny Blanco’s really is the best.

The only pizza in Denver that I will eat! The slices are huge just like they are in NYC! The crust is thin and crispy. The pies are also huge. The medium pie is as big as a large pie in NYC. The chicken parmigiana is excellent too! They have a great lunch special, 2 pepperoni slices and a soda for $7! Reminds me of the pizza joints back in the old neighborhood.

Bennys is a local favorite NY style spot of mine. Good crisp on the undercarriage, nice cheese, and decent sauce.Large slices so 1 or maybe 2 is plenty.

By far the best east-coast style pizza Ive found in Denver, maybe the Midwest for that matter. Their take on the works is incredible- generous fresh ingredients (minced garlic makes the entire pie pop with flavor) that were clearly deliberately and consciously placed (spaced out evenly with attention & care), perfect ratio of sauce and cheese, and the thin crust is excellent, with a firm & chewy start that ends in a satisfying crunch. Its filling in the best way possible, very little of that stereotypical pizza bloat.The older guy Ive seen running the counter during my last couple visits takes pride in his work and it shows- his pizzas have been so photo-worthy, but Im always too preoccupied with digging in to remember to take a picture first. Hes definitely the friendliest employee Ive encountered; others have often been pretty gruff and blunt, but they werent rude, and theyre talented at their craft, so no complaints. Id recommend pickup if possible to ensure you get it straight out of the oven and with any extras (plates, napkins, pepper flakes, etc.) you might want.All in all, BBs is the only pizza joint I can sincerely recommend in Denver, and Ive tried both their direct competitors (Sexy Pizza being the most obvious) and hole-in-the-wall dive bars with traditional ovens. No one can touch Bennys. Argue with me about it lol

Tasty Pizza! There is no seating area so this is not a place to plan to sit down for a slice. Which shouldnt slices be eaten riding a longboard through downtown or driving a car while licking the dripping grease off your hand? Maybe thats just me, but either way tasty slices good prices.

I ordered online and when I called when I got there. Someone ran my pie out to the car instantly.I thought it was very good BUT as a native New Yorker it is close but not quite there. For me it was the crust.

Its pizza, but its not great. In fact, I struggle to call it good. Perhaps our pizza was a fluke? It tasted and looked like it was fresh-from-frozen. This pizza tasted loads better the next day, and cold.....I am so confused at the discrepancy between our pizza and the great reviews on here. The pictures by other reviewers look good, but wasnt what we got.

Ordered a Greek salad with my dinner last night, to have for lunch the next day, expecting normal Greek like everywhere else (lettuce, tomato, onion, black olive, pepperoncini, feta).I open the salad the next day and it’s just a pile of green and black olives on lettuce, with artichokes, pepperoncini, and feta.I call as soon as I see the issue and am told to come in that day and I’ll have my salad replaced with a chef salad, which I am totally fine with.I get there, and the manager Brent, tells me that now I have to pay for the salad, regardless of what was said on the phone. And he said that the reason is because I am “f***ing them out of money”, by asking them to replace my small side salad, and I was gonna buy a sandwich too. But instead I left because of how rude they were.

One of the best pizza shops in Cap hill, no doubt. But, it can take a while to deliver (sometimes 2 or more hours). Make sure you order ahead of time!

This is so cool to get pizza in a little hole in the wall i wish the guy would have had garlic knots or bread sticks ready so I could have had some of that too but it was good.

I got a slice of pepperoni pizza - that thing is HUGE and is probably three pieces of chain store pizza. The pepperoni has a slight kick to it and there was some kind of flavor to the sauce or cheese (unsure which) that was a nice addition. This place is really tiny but they make good pizza. It wasnt that greasy either which I thought was great. But what I really think is cool is that if you get a slice of pizza, you have lots of customization because you can add a variety of toppings to your slice for just 50 cents each. Pretty cool. They also sell snickers and twix ice cream bars which wins me over.

The crust is thin and perfectly crispy; sauce is great; good amount of cheese but not too much; veggies are fresh; single slices are delightfully bigger than your face.

They serve up some damn good NY style pizza. When in need of just a slice or two, I come here because for one thing, they are open late. Secondly, they are quick to heat up some specialty sliced pizza slices.If in the need for some decent somewhat greasy pizza or sandwich, this is the spot. Prices arent bad either. Just know that, there isnt much standing room inside where you place your food order.

I found this really cool little take out pizza shop to have great tasting New York style pizza - topping were fresh, price was very reasonable, and portions were ample. Pizza by the slice was fast and delicious, topped to you liking.

Got there in time to order whatever i wanted after a long double waiting tables and driving uber. person at the counter made me wait several minutes to order after the person in front of me did and then told me i had to order from a very limited menu because it was after a certain time. wasted my time waiting in line after a very long day to walk away with nothing.

I love this place, I really do. But when you have employees not using gloves, going from touching my card, the fridge, making a pizza/putting my slices in the oven without washing hands... Thats when something needs to change. Please consider fixing this. Its definitely a health code violation. Especially mid-COVID.All love

Just had a slice after reading the reviews. Excellent New York style pizza. It was hot and very tasty. Probably one of the best slices I have ever had. Will be coming back!I missed it the first time I drove down the street. So pay attention while driving, the place is easy to miss.

The crust of the pizza wasnt too soft or hard, the toppings werent falling off, it wasnt too greasy, the price is generous, solid pie here.

They got Some of the best wings in Colorado. I literally cannot believe it it’s a hole in a wall but it’s so fire 10 out of 10 and my homegirl don’t even like buffalo she usually eats barbecue is she grubbed on them

One of the constants of capital hill, been going there for more years than I can remember. Los of memories ranging from slices after leaving one of the local spots at night, or a slice in the afternoon after record shopping at waxtrax next door. Not a lot of places you can get a hot counter slice these days

One of the only spots open after midnight to get a quick slice. Go straight for the cheese, get some red pepper flakes and root beer and enjoy on the sidewalk out front. Love it!

Great NY style pizza. This is my go-to pizza for friends visiting from NY. The White Pizza and The Max are my faves. Great balance of sauce, cheese and QUALITY ingredients. Sometimes delivery is a bit longer than typical but this pizza is also above typical so its fine. If your picking up park on the side street as there is no where to pull in front on 13th street.

This is the closest thing to a NY slice Ive had in Denver. I come out here from PA to see family and this time for work, and I had to drive 30 mins for two slices and a Coke. Love it. Ill be back.

Benny blancos is the definition of hit or miss. I go here all the time since its in my neighborhood, and its cheaper and usually better than sliceworks (not always).Sometimes I feel that its the best slice of NY style pizza one can get in Denver, other times Im severely disappointed with the burnt crust and cold pizza. I thought that ordering an entire pizza vs. just a slice or 2 would be more consistently quality, but not necessarily true.Still, theyre open til 3am which definitely gives them an advantage over other neighborhood joints.EDIT: Pizza on an August Sunday afternoon was on point but a bit cold by the time I made the 8min walk home. I stuck it in oven for 2min and it was bomb. Cant beat 5 bucks for 2 giant slices 🍕- see pic

Best pizza in town. The crust, sauce and cheese was all amazing. I like to fallow up with cold pizza in the morning. The one spot I do send everybody. The price is cheap and the pies are large. The store is hard to reach off 17 but well worth the walk to grab a slice. I call in my order with no problem and receive the pie of my dreams.

Authentic New York slices and attitudes-- one of my favorite spots in Denver. The wait can sometimes be a while, but for only having two employees on deck they can crank out some za.They hand wrap their cina and garlic knots so those always take a little while but the cina-knots are soo bomb and worth the wait-just ask for them nicely lol. Carry out is the way to go if u live close by. Good vibes and tasty food with excellent prices for Cap Hill.

Solid NY slice. The trickiest thing to do in Denver is to reproduce the NY slice so that one can critique sauce or the amount of cheese. The altitude is a huge factor here. Bennys uses a higher protein flour than most places to achieve a crispy thin crust that is phenomenal fresh. Day old slices do not translate as well. The sauce is legit and they do not have to resort to weird gimmicks to sell pizza. $2.50 for a plain cheese slice is very NY. You can get 2 slices and a can of soda for $6. There just isnt anyone else doing this in Denver. There are other good slices here but they are hard to find and the second a place starts to charge $4 for a cheese slice I know it is not an actual NY place. People get too cute with what should be a pretty basic necessity. Dont expect parking and if it is after 1am Fri-Sun there will be a line and dont expect anything but cheese or pepperoni. Showing up here at 2:30 AM and asking for spinach, feta, banana peppers, and pineapple on a slice could get you hurt.

Excellent thin crust, New York style pizza. A huge slice of cheese pizza is only $3.00. As someone from NJ, its hard to find delicious, authentic pizza in Denver and Ive found it with Bennys. But be warned, the place is tiny - about the size of a powder room. Fits about 5 - 6 people at a time. No seating. We walked around outside with a slice and it was so good we had to go back to get another.

Love the pizza, be sure to get garlic as a add on!!! They have pretty good baklava too! They sell slices or whole pizzas, they have a customer check in which gives you points to get free items or discounts. No place to sit so I usually take it to go😉 love that they are open till 4a!!!

These guys kill it! Love their pizza and service. I grew up on the east coast (the epicenter of great American pizza) and this is the closest weve come in CO. If youve ever been to Pepes in New Haven, Bennys is your closest answer to that craving.

Ive historically always loved this place - crisp slice, always made well, far better than all local options. A bit miffed this time about seeing dude with his mask hanging off, not on, his face. I get taking a breather - these masks are tough in a hot kitchen, hours on end. But these oversights are going to cost lives. Crust was sloppy and wet. Hope you all and your loved ones survive these times, but I had to chuck the pie.

Microwaved garlic knots & the box says “slice of the Bronx” but u better hope nobody from the Bronx finds out ur selling steamrolled Pizza Hut pizza. This is dive bar 2am pizza. Is everyone in Denver out of their minds please Do Not order this pizza if you’re looking to eat something that tastes good. I will be feeding this pizza to the street outside my car.

Ive been here before and enjoyed it, but when I stopped by the other day, the person behind the counter went out of their way to be rude (to the point that after Id paid and had my change thrown at me I considered just walking out without my food). The slice I got didnt taste fresh and was incredibly salty. This wasnt a pleasant experience, but I get that everyone has bad days and I hope everythings okay.

Solid football pizza. Good sauce. I prefer mine to be a touch crispier on the bottom and a little less cheese but overall a solid option if you’re scouting out a new pizza shop to try. Good slice/lunch specials, too.

The marinara taste like it came straight out of a can which it probably did. They could definitely use something called spices for flavor. Their garlic knots were hard to the point of only being able to eat the tops. The wings are far below satisfactory. I spent $40 here and I will never spend a dime at this establishment again. yes I ordered at 12am on a Saturday. No the food was not worth the 2 hour delivery wait. Maybe if the food was good I wouldnt be so peeved. Gross food I ended up trashing. What a waste of time and product

I ordered from the stand at Monkey Barrel to go. I got a large works pizza and 12 hot wings. I finished the wings and have yet to eat the pizza because I had to post immediately. I have been searching for good wings in Denver for over a year. We have had westwords best wings, 5280s best wings, wings featured on food network etc. I WILL NOT ORDER WINGS ANYWHERE ELSE! They were perfect. Double fried, sauce was spicy and unassuming, and they were meaty and delicious. Maybe a little more chunk in the blue cheese but outside of that, perfect!

I generally enjoy Benny Blancos. Tonight though is the worst customer experience Ive ever had. Sure, its a little snow on the ground out, but I place an order and hour and a half before close through the app, and it was canceled less than 60 seconds later. If youre busy, CALL YOUR CUSTOMER and explain the situation. Just canceling an order is the most unprofessional thing you could have done. I am deleting BBs from my phone and I wont be coming back.

Short version: great pizza, but pick it up or dont order at all. Delivery needs work.Been a customer of Bennys for several years. On the strength of their pizza alone they get either a 4.5 or 5/5, but unfortunately their logistics (delivery and order processing both) needs serious work. After numerous incidents in which orders arrived 45-90 minutes late, and a final order that was never received at all (called 2 hours after placing the order and they had forgotten it), were taking our business elsewhere for the time being.Its too bad, because the pizza really is quite good and Bennys is a local business with friendly folks working there. I hope that at some point we can go back to being customers, but until ops get cleaned up a bit that wont happen.

Ive been a loyal customer for years. Ive always loved the pizza and environment. Although today was different. New unfriendly faces with no customer skills refused my request to reheat the slice of pizza i was served. Seems the new day crew is changing up the place. Sad i wont be eating there again.

This is a review in two parts1) the food: its fine pizza, in the way all pizza that doesn’t make you sick is fine pizza. I grew up in NYC, Ive had more slices of pizza and slice shops outside the Stadium than these guys have seen Yankee games. Its not NY pizza2) Delivery: I live 2.5 miles, a 12 minute drive from the establishment. Apparently Im two far for them to delivery, however. Just out of curiosity, what is the range youll deliver in? The block your located on?This place is 0/2 and have no interested in giving them a third strike.
