Not only is Table M a lovely shop to visit and browse, the knowledge and enthusiasm of the owner David, is very inspiring. His knowledge of the history of furniture, lighting and design is really second to none. He has an uncanny ability to take something ordinary and make it extraordinary. It was my fifth stop that day looking for parts for a lamp. My girlfriend bought this lamp on the internet from Morocco. The electrician that she hired laughed and said there was no way to install it because it just didn’t have the right set up and we needed to find a specialist. The chain was to short, there was no way to attach it to the ceiling, and the power cord was to short to connect it. I stopped by on a Monday, they were closed. As I tried pulling on the door the owner came out. Come in he said. I explained the problem and he went to work. He pulled out random parts from bins and tried multiple options solving one problem at a time. He replaced the chain with one that matched, made a custom configuration to attach it to the J box and explained how to change out the wires. After 3 hours of trial and error the most beautiful custom hand made Moroccan lamp now hangs in my dining room. The owner of this shop was an amazing and patient champion that made my day. I can never say enough good things about David at Table M! He is nothing short of a miracle worker. As an interior designer, Ive presented an array of challenges for him. He has pulled off some very complex custom light fixtures, fixed unusable fixtures, resized lamps that seemed almost impossible to change and more! I havent found a task yet that he has said No too!!

I found Table M through the online retailer Chairish after searching high and low for an MCM Lucite chandelier. David was exceptionally nice, and worked with me to have the chandelier shipped within a certain time frame. He does fantastic restoration work, and I cant wait to hang this new beauty in my dining room!

My wife took a fixture there to change from a hard wired hanging lamp to a swag type plug-in fixture. After a $100.00 plus charge they left off the plug. She went back and came back with a plug installed less the ground connection. This company should not be restoring or modifying fixtures if they cannot provide a safe modification. Theres a ground wire for a reason and they just dont seem to know what they are doing.
