I traded in an empty welding tank Argon and Co2 for a filled tank. when I got home it was only filled to l14less than 1400psi when I called and asked they said it should be filled to 1800psi on a 72 degree day. it was in the 70s when I bought it. they did not offer to make it right or so I got ripped off for about $25 on a 3/4 full tank of gas that was right about $95.00. I you buy gas from here have them check it before you leave! or go to another supplier that will actually fill the tank properly.

I’ve done a few classes at the welding academy and had a great experience each time. The first instructor retired, though he was great. Today I had David and he also was a top notch instructor that helped everyone get better and move onto more difficult welds throughout the day.I’ll be buying my machine here because of them!

Extremely high gas prices and they purposely try to over charge. Be sure to check your bill. I almost walked away with an 120% upcharge, even with an account that shows a record of my pricing. Again, check your bill.

Saturday welding class experience was A+++. David is a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable instructor. I appreciate the wealth of information he has to share! I had zero welding experience before coming to these classes, but I always enjoy tinkering with things, so I enjoyed the experience at General Air. Ive taken the MIG and stick welding classes (so far) and I can say they provide a tremendous amount of value for the money. David gives students 1:1 instruction and he emphasizes hands on learning by giving students ample time in the shop to practice techniques. I HIGHLY recommend these courses to anyone who is even remotely interested in welding and fabrication. David creates a welcoming, open learning environment and Ill definitely be coming back for another Saturday class!

Shouldve listened to my friend about going here. Pretty new to dealing with gas tanks, so was obviously kind of oblivious walking in there. I dealt with Jeff, and he, unfortunately, acted like everything I asked for was a problem (specifically me wanting a re-fill rather than exchange...resulting in a smaller tank than I came in with). I even said sorry for being a pain to attempt to quell the attitude, but he basically agreed with me with a sigh and its all right. Not the place Id like to deal with again...and will happily steer clear. Plenty of other places to go.I give 2 stars as he did not charge me for the hydro of my old tank during the exchange.

Great place to pick up some welding skills. Mig, stick, and flux-core welding classes are popular here. The instructor David did a great job instructing me and my class mates individually. Similarly, he presented the larger scope of welding to us before class with enviable enthusiasm.Classes are now being offered in three day segments to specialize in one type of welding at a time. Highly recommended to take the time out of any busy schedule to develop the foundation for welding.

I have been a General Air customer for over five years with no complaints. I have dealt with ALL of the other supply companies locally and have not had nearly the same service. I, on a consistent basis, have very technical questions, requests, and needs that are always met with unbelievable knowledge.DREW FIREBAUGH is my go to guy, I call him with things all of the time that NO ONE else has an answer for and he immediately finds the information for me and walks me through processes, services, and makes sure I have what I need before we are finished with our transactions or conversations. Not only does he have an outstanding knowledge of the industry, equipment, supplies, procedures, but there have been multiple times that I needed help getting administrative documentation such as a print out of every purchase I have ever made at General Air, and he was able to provide that for me so quickly that it shocked me. He is professional, knowledgeable, and has great communication skills. I have never had a need unmet!The rest of the staff is great too and Im sure just as impressive, I just havent had as much personal experience with them. Even when it comes to having the servicing done on our machines that were purchased from them, they understand that having our equipment out is $$Money lost so they hustle and do a good job!So thanks again DREW! I fully appreciate all the help I get. Fast service and they have everything a welder needs

I went in looking just for brazing rod. As I entered the storefront I was surprised at how nice all their retail items were set up. They have a large inventory of welding and cutting supplies. I found my rod and proceeded to the busy counter where several customers were being helped by friendly employees. When I went to check out I met Johnny who was happy to answer my beginner welding questions about a oxy/propane torch setup. He walked me around the store pointing to what he had and then called and looked up some prices for other systems. He also gave me leads to different types of stores like jewelers, glass blowers and Harbor Freight. After completing the sale he offered up their coffee / drink bar for a refreshment. Very nice! I will definitely be back and would recommend General Air.

Recently, my family and I took a TIG welding class with David Todd and it exceeded our expectations greatly. Our experience with the General Air Welding Academy couldn’t have gone much better. David was extremely knowledgeable, thorough, and encouraging. He was so skilled and made sure to cover all of the basics and give extra time to those who needed it! I was the only female in my family that came to this class and it was so rewarding to not be dismissed because of that. I like to go here just for there safety glasses selection alone, but it has so much more and the staffs vary knowledgeable they have found oddball welding tips for me just from looking at the old battered mess of one that I brought to them.

Been a customer of General Air for a number of years now and have always been treated like family. Tons of knowledge, competitive prices, and just having whatever it is I need in-stock keeps me coming back!

This place is a joke. Way higher prices than anywhere else (10x the cost on argon dewer), and the accounting department cant keep anything straight. Paid off my account over 2yrs ago when we left, now sending bills saying past due. I called them out on it and they said there was a computer glitch and not to worry about it, my account is zero. Now when I go to the store (to buy in cash) they say the account is in collections and cannot sell......Make up your mind, do I owe you or not? LOL The guys in the COS store are cool, but the main Denver office is a complete disaster. I only do business with these guys as a last resort.

An absolutely awful company to do business with. They make mistake after mistake, take absolutely no accountability for anything, and change their story as it is convenient for them. In the short time that I have been doing business with Green CO2 since General Air, they have been heads and tails better to work with. Ive witnessed a direct correlation between companies that expect a lengthy service contract and the subpar service they provide. General Air expects a multi-year commitment with services unseen while Green CO2 does not. A company that stands behind its products and service doesnt need to lock its customers into contracts. Ive recommended to several breweries I know to drop General Air, and I anticipate theyll lose quite a few brewery clients.EDIT: It looks like General Air is beginning to realize that their poor reputation may lose them business (if it hasnt already), and are trying to do damage control. Dont believe a word, theyll say whatever they need to get your signature on the dotted line.
