Went in to change my bass from BEADG to EADGC. Installed strings and setup the bass. Got it 100% perfect the first time, did it super fast, and the guy was super nice. 100% coming back next time I need anything done
Very welcoming! Great guitars, open atmosphere - should be a meeting place for musicians.
Highest recommendation. Matt and Mason are very friendly and knowledgeable; answered all my questions. Excellent communication. Mason did a fantastic job refretting my vintage 1968 Mosrite electric guitar. It plays better now than when I bought it over 50 years ago; great action, perfect intonation, excellent sustain. Very reasonable pricing. Don’t go anywhere else; these guys are the best.
Excellent work installing an acoustic pickup on a vintage 12 string guitar. Prompt, friendly service. Would recommend for any guitar work.
Mason put active electronics into my guitar for me and set up the guitar. He was able to identify a problem with the neck pickup and describe it well enough to the merchant to have a new one sent. Totally painless all the way through even though it took over a month (NOT the shops fault) because of shipping delays. Im very happy! Guitar feels and sounds great. I went to other shops when I was younger, this is by far the best experience in Denver. I will absolutely be back!I would echo the other reviews that Mason treated me and my instrument with absolute respect despite it being a cheap instrument.
These guys were amazing. My guitar, which has traveled with me through life for more than a decade, suffered significant damage. These guys were straightforward, honest, and optimistic that they could bring my guitar back to its original condition. They even went further and re-fitted some of the parts with brand new pieces. My guitar plays better than ever, and I could not be more pleased with the level of service, kindness, and effort offered to me by these gentlemen. I would highly recommend Spampinato Guitars to anyone and everyone for all of their musical needs. First class service and quality all the way.
Matt and Mason are incredible people to work with. I brought in a 1937 Martin (player condition, not a case queen) which had multiple cracks on the sides of the instrument and was in need of repair. I wanted to bring it back to playable without doing much restoration on it, and Matt was extremely accommodating to my request. Upon speaking with him before the work was started, I was 100% confident he was the Luthier to do the work. I considered sending the instrument back to Martin, but ultimately decided against it after talking to their repair department (took months for them to reply to my initial inquiry). Matt completed the repairs to the sides, and even took care of a crack on the top that we didnt even see or discuss when the instrument was dropped off- talk about going above and beyond! He also did a fantastic setup when the repairs were complete. Not only did he take care of the repairs and setup, but he also had Gator custom make a new hard case for added protection. After sitting in its original case for over 20 years unplayed, Im finally able to play this fine guitar and hear its history ringing out of the F-holes. Couldnt be happier and I wont hesitate to use Spampinato for anything my collection needs in the future.
I did some research to find someone professional to repair my vintage classical guitar. It had a top crack that needed some TLC. I called up Matt, and we talked about doing the repair once the County would re-open from COVID-19. He gave me great instructions on humidifying the guitar and recommend a few humidification systems. Once restrictions lifted a little, I dropped my guitar off at the shop with Mason. A week or so later, my guitar was ready for pickup. I was thrilled at the work they did! The crack was repaired with cleats, and I was made a custom bone nut (as mine had been chipped previously). I am extremely happy with the work that was done, and now my guitar plays very well again!
I brought in a Bourgeois 05 Slope D model which was kind of beaten ...not playing very well. Matt brought the guitar back to life it sounded incredible a new vibe not only that,He put in a pick up system that was hard to beat. Prior to that I had “Michael hedges” Amulet system which did not sound half as good as the new system LR Baggs with pre and under saddle transducer technology has made Leaps and bounds. I was also blown away by some of the handmade instruments. But I like how they can take an old relic and make it new again. That’s pretty cool. Right now he’s working on an Alvarez Yairi 1992 soon to update review!
Mason got my old, modified, electric guitar sounding awesome. He did a setup, and custom work lining up an aftermarket neck and fretboard. Great work, cool people.
I’ve now had all four of my guitars set up by Mason at Spampinato. The quality of service has been remarkable. Mason has a charisma about him that makes him pleasant to communicate with and his dedication to meeting your preferences is unmatched to anyone I’ve taken my guitars to before. My guitars have truly never played better. If you’re like me and fed up with dealing with the inconsistency and occasional carelessness of big franchise guitar shop techs, then you should definitely give Matt and Mason a call.
Just got my guitars set up there, super friendly and awesome service! Will be back soon!
Professional work done here.
I came to Spampinato with an entry level guitar and a $100 mandolin. I knew what I had...they knew what I had, but they treated my instruments and me with respect. Getting both set up professionally, transformed the way both play. This is now my luthier in the Denver area.
They did an outstanding job setting up my inexpensive (LTD) esp! Im very pleased and will definatly recommend them! Thanks!
They were professional, kind, accommodating, and reasonably priced. They’re also craftsmen at what they do. I look forward to bringing them my guitars for work in the future.
Working with Matt Spampinato and Mason Shelmire at Spampinato Guitars is a pure pleasure. They are both very personable and professional. The work has always been done in the time promised, the fees are reasonable and I have never had any surprises. I would highly recommend Spampinato Guitars to anyone who needs guitar repair and maintenance services.
They more than fixed and tuned my old un-tuneable 12-string guitar, they were thoughtful and interested in it and in me. It had damage from years of hard playing and touring, and they not only made it whole, they made it better. These guys are the best, fairly priced, knowledgeable, and made me feel at home. I even took another guitar to them to work their magic. This is THE guitar store and repair shop, and I’m going to be a regular.
5 Stars for Matt and Mason of Spampinato Guitars! The consummate professionals. I felt completely safe and protected at their shop. I am always anxious having one of my acoustic guitars worked on. They put me at ease and the quality of the work was the highest. Thanks again guys...you are the best!
This is a wonderful shop. Matt and Mason are both great. Mason did a fantastic setup on a new Electric of mine. He worked with me extensively to get just what I wanted. My heavy handed playing style necessitated an adjustment after a couple days, and he happily spent easily an hour with me making adjustments to my action and truss rod to get it just right. They know their craft, are professional and friendly. They guarantee their work, and they make you feel at home. Do not hesitate to give them your business. You will not be disappointed.
I can’t recommend these guys enough, amazing experience working with them. Matt and Mason did a setup and installed a bone nut in my Les Paul. I was quoted a week, but the guitar was ready in 3 days- excellent service. Matt was kind enough to recommend some humidifying options for my guitar storage as well. They did amazing work, and I’m excited to see what they can do with the other project I gave them. I will absolutely be bringing all of my guitar needs to Spampinato Guitars from here on out. Thank you Mason and Matt!!!!
Awesome work from Matt and Mason. B string (22 old Martin DR) wouldn’t stay in tune past one song or resting overnight. I’ve tuned once since I brought it home a week ago, and that was just to tighten up the fresh strings. Check my dudes out! They know what’s up
I have tried other guitar service centers in the past and have not been satisfied with the quality of their work. I took my 2003 Stratocaster to Matt and Mason at Spampinato Guitars for a set-up and neck adjustment and I am glad I did. They did a great job and succeeded in setting up my guitar properly where all the other shops I tried have failed...If you need work on your guitar...take it to these guys...;-)....
Did a good job, took care of the guitar, prices ok, (a little high, but after some bad experiences, worth paying for someone trustworthy). Thanks very much!!
Verry nice and knowledge bell staff would definitely recommend this place!!!
Just the best! They set up two guitars I had bought elsewhere and greatly improved the sound on both. I’ll be back for any and all guitar needs in the future.
Matt changed out the nut and bridge for bone and completed a setup on my acoustic guitar. Initially it went in with fret buzz and playability was low. It came back sounding better than ever! Sustain is up, the mids are far more pronounced, action was set perfectly and upon testing intonation with the strobe tuner, it was spot on. The guitar is now a pleasure to play, playability is back and the sound is amazing! I will trust Matt with all my future guitar needs, both electric and acoustic.
** Great service, beautiful spot-on work, and it was ready way ahead of the estimated ETA date **I was looking for a luthier to do some basic setup work on several of my guitars and basses, and wanted to develop a relationship with a place that would come to understand my needs and playing style. I looked around online and kept seeing Spaminato Guitars, and read some reviews on Yelp. I decided to give them a try, called, and they were friendly. Agreed to bring the Carvin fretless in on a Saturday morning. I like the fretless to have really low action and minimal relief, and the owner (Matt) understood what I was asking for. I also asked about adding a ramp to the space between the pickups, and I didnt have to explain what that meant. Matt offered a couple ideas in woods, and we settled on ebony to match the fingerboard. The setup time estimate was initially just a few days, but with the ramps he estimated just short of three weeks. Mason (who looks a bit like a younger Tony Levin) called a couple days later to confirm the strings choice. About a week later, I received a call that the bass was ready. The picture doesnt do justice to the work. The setup is spot on -- as much as a fretless can be! -- giving a good foundation for my playing. The ramps are wonderfully made. They are not screwed on, just affixed with double sided tape that wont mar the finish, so if I dont like them over time its an easy choice to remove them. The pattern follows the shape of the pickups, with routing for the pickup adjustment screws. The top follows the fretboard radius, and the end closest to the neck is slightly lower so that the transition to the fretboard is even. I couldnt be more pleased. The bass plays like a dream, and I love the ramps. I intend to bring all my future work to this place.
Matt did an amazing job fixing up my Acoustic in a timely and high quality manner. The pricing is very reasonable.
Matt did an absolutely incredible job at setting up my father in law’s vintage 1967 Gibson J-45. He made it sing again. Will definitely be back for any of my guitar repair needs! I cannot more highly recommend Spampinato Guitars!
This is some of the best work I have ever seen done. Mason took my Jazz bass from being noisy and fighting me the entire time to being one of the best playing instruments I have ever touched. Im a client for life, thats for sure. Thanks Mason!
Matt & Mason are now my go to guys for all things guitar. I am quite impressed with the build quality and tone of their flat tops. Mason rewired my solid body parts guitar and I couldnt be more pleased with the result! I will be back with a Kay arch top that needs a neck reset. Thanks guys!
Matt and Mason are friendly, knowledgeable and do great work. I will be returning in the future with all of my guitars eventually. They took my 92 custom 24 PRS and made it play better than new. I cant wait to see what they can do with the other guitars I bring them. Thank you guys!
First Rate service from knowledgeable and passionate guitar guys. Matt is very personable, and full of great stories. He replaced the cheap plastic saddle on my Martin D1 with a beautiful bone, and re-setup the guitar. I’ve played this guitar for over a decade and it’s never felt or sounded this good. My experience couldn’t have been better, and i feel like I made a friend in the process. Thanks Matt Spampinato!
Really great repair shop. They had my guitar fixed and playing like it was new again super fast. Cant recommend them enough!
Great service! Friendly, knowledgeable people! I took my guitar in for some repairs and I couldnt be happier. Sounds beautiful after getting it back!
I had not played my Guild guitar in many years and decided to get back into playing. I needed a guitar shop who could completely go through my guitar and bring it back to the richness of sound it deserved. I found a craftsman in Spampinato Guitars. Not only do they set-up guitars but they build guitars. It was clear they understood the design, structure, and my preferences in setting up the guitar. The repairs were done with precision. The sound is excellent. I am glad I found these guys and will use them for any future work I have done on my guitar.
Having spoken with Matt numerous times before construction of my parlour guitar I am so pleased that the finished product exceeded all of my expectations. The guitar is beautiful and the sound is rich and robust. My instructor said it is one of the finest small guitars he has ever seen. It is surely worth every penny and someday I will proudly pass it on to my granddaughter. John
Excellent place to take your guitar for any sort work. They adjusted the action on my Ibanez and filed every fret as they were pretty sharp and sticking out a bit. Great work, highly recommended.
Mason was recommended to me by my guitarist to have some setup work done when I moved here from Houston. Being a bass player himself he knew exactly what I needed especially with the change in climate. My bass sounds and feels phenomenal each time he works on it and hes always done in a timely manner. Prompt, courteous, and pride in his work is best to describe what you can expect from Spampinato Guitars. The gentlemen who greeted me when I came to pick up my bass were friendly and courteous as well. Im happy to say they are my dedicated luthier and look forward to supporting their business!
These guys ROCK!!! After years of looking, I finally found my go-to shop for guitar work. Matt and Mason go above and beyond. I brought in a tele and a jazz bass, both of which had a variety of issues, ranging from bad pots and wiring to just plain poor setups. Mason took care of everything in just a couple days! Both instruments feel brand new, feel better than ever before, and the sound difference is night and day :)Yep, I will be back for sure!
2/12/21 Matt just did a complete rebuild of my 40 year old Epiphone 12 string, taking it from a bowed neck mess to being one of the sweetest playing acoustics I own, it is amazing! I thought it was hopeless and beyond even being made into a somewhat playable guitar, maybe if I was lucky, the first 5 frets might be possible. But he turned this lovely guitar into an instrument that plays like and sounds like a dream.Shades of Roger McGuinn, it sounds so great now! That makes 3 guitars of mine hes salvaged and/or fine tuned in the last few months, and I have a couple more projects for him in mind. So worth the very reasonable cost.Highly recommend.12/2/20 This time I took my 60 Les Paul Jr in, the repaired cracked neck from the early 70s had begun to split again right up at the top of the neck and the pots had become very noisy. Matt did a beautiful job of repairing it plus a sweet setup, it looks and plays better than ever.He also researched it a bit and told me the value these days could be in the $6K range - I paid $200 for it back in the day so, Im a very happy guy!So now I dropped of my new Telecaster that out of the box was far less than ideal, for them to improve the setup.Soon Ill run out of guitars to fix and will have to buy more just so I can visit Matt and Mason again, theyre really fun but super expert luthiers. Thanks guys!November:Very quick response to my online query about repairing an old 12 string that needs some love. Taking it in tomorrow and see how it goes. So, went in for my appt and got the kind of honest and expert advice Id expected based on reviews here. First, the shop while small is so cool to experience, in the front retail area they have a few of their custom built acoustics on display and some customer guitars. Back in the shop area I watched as my guitar was inspected but secretly I could not quit staring at the beautiful Rickenbacker being worked on (ok, not an original but still so cool).I was told what it would need, a bit of a rebuild and its not cheap but if Im going to spend the money to restore this old friend of 42 years, I feel very good having it in their hands.Highly recommend.
Found these guys online and decided to give them a try. Super friendly and knowledgeable and came up with a better idea than I had to keep my strap lock in place. Thanks Matt and Mason for the high end guitar work.
I had an fantastic experience dealing with Matt at Spaminato Guitars on some.work on my Les Paul Jr. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain every step in the work he performed. He stands behind his work. I highly recommend!
What a pleasant experience! I live up in Summit County and there arent any true luthiers up here. I asked a local musicians forum who they would recommend to get some work done. Mason reached out to me directly and offered his assistance. I brought him both my 4-string and 6-string basses. Mason replaced all my tuning heads and gave both basses fantastic setups. The play-ability is excellent, I am extremely satisfied! I would highly recommend Spampinato Guitars if you are looking for a great shop to take your instrument to!
Brought them a guitar that was 50 years old (a small body Gibson) and asked them to restore it to its former glory. They did it in a week, and brought back a great sound that i had not heard in decades. Crisp, professional effort. I will definitely be back with other guitars.
Matt and Mason are the best in the business. Their setups are perfect. I got both my guitar and bass setup there and they did it exactly how I wanted it. They are also very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend Spampinato Guitars to anyone looking for a trustworthy and professional luthier service!
Its great to have a repair shop with luthiers on site. When you go in youll talk to the techs that will do the work and theyll give you an honest estimate on what needs to be done. Im a guitar teacher whos been teaching in the area for over 20 years and its been awhile since Ive had a shop I can completely rely on. Ive seen their work on many of my students instruments and two of my own and everything theyve done has been of great quality.
Amazing shop! If you need a luthier, stop looking and come visit these guys. My Les Paul looks more cherry than ever and they made me so confident were fixing a prized family heirloom! Very thankful I found this place!!
What a great experience! I went in nervous about work needed to be done to my guitar.Left feeling more knowledge regarding how my instrument is build. Even booked lessons! Thanks Spampinato Guitar!
So happy to have found a high-quality shop near my neighborhood. I asked them to do a set-up on my G & L strat, plus check out a very stiff tremolo as well as the wiring on the replacement pick-ups I had installed. Mason did a great job on the set-up and adjusted the tremolo so it’s now much easier to use. I absolutely love the way the guitar plays now and I will happily recommend Matt and Mason to my musician friends. Thanks guys, I’ll be back.
My friends at Spampinato are masters of their craft. My guitars plays great after getting some custom mod work done on my ES339 and Telecaster. By far my favorite guitar shop. Mason is great and provides an excellent service to his customers! My intonation on both of my guitars is golden!!!
Great job completely restoring my old guitars..20 and 40 years old..play like new..👍
I’m new to the guitar world (and music world) and recently picked up a nice Gibson Les Paul from eBay. I thought my low strings were buzzy, and the action on my high strings may have been too high. So I dropped into Spampinato and asked the guys if they wouldn’t mind giving my LP the once over. They immediately diagnosed the odd action without input from me, and offered to get her setup at a reasonable price. I asked for a quick turnaround and they were super accommodating. Since I’ve had my guitar back, she plays like a dream. Also spent some time in the shop chatting up the guys, which I definitely appreciate given I’m a new guy in the guitar space. Thanks, Spampinato!
These guys are absolutely amazing. Mason did a phenomenal job setting up my bass, and the turn around time was really quick. I will definitely be recommending them to my musician friends
Highly recommended, I had them install a LR Baggs Anthem in my Martin D28. They did a great job and it sounds fantastic, they also checked out the rest of the guitar and made sure everything was as it should be. Prompt, reasonable and quality work - you cant ask for more!Carl
I’ve been looking for a luthier like these guys for a long time, and I’m so glad I found them. Since getting my guitar set up with them, one of the guitars I paid the least for now sounds better than the most expensive guitar I own. These guys make all the difference. No need to look for anyone else.
Brought my Les Paul in for some tune ups before a show. They had it done way faster than I thought, and did an awesome job. Definitely recommend this spot
Matt and Mason were great to work with. Matt went above and beyond. I dropped my acoustic guitar off on Friday and needed it done on Monday. He called me later on Friday and told me he didn’t know if they would be open on Monday, so he moved me up to next in line and got it done that same day. I don’t like buzzing when I play, but I do like low action. He manage to bring my action down as low as it would go before it started buzzing. It plays like a totally different guitar, in a good way. I’ll be back!
Matt has set up two guitars for me. He does a great job and also took the time to educate me on guitars, how theyre built, what can go wrong, and what he does to properly set them up. I learn something new about guitars every time I go in.
I was referred here by a friend when I needed a repair to the pickup in my Collings acoustic. I was so impressed with how personal and professional everyone was. Great care was taken of my guitar and the repair was done in the time I needed. Ive been very happy with the results and will most definitely be coming back for all setup and repair work.
A beautiful working space and a family owned business that creates top-of-the-line custom guitars and provides repairs! Mason and Matt are extremely passionate and hard-working. The workspace is inviting and smells like fresh wood!
These fellows perform immaculate work and repairs on multiple instruments, and truly know what theyre doing! Ive also seen a few guitars and a bass theyve built with their own hands. Pristine and brilliant, highly recommended for any needs!
These guys are as good as it gets. My guitar plays like a dream after a setup, they’re very helpful and knowledgeable. Plus they’re a pleasure chatting with! Highly recommend
Best guitar shop in Denver hands down. Matt and Mason are knowledgeable, talented and two of the nicest guys you will ever encounter. Brought in 2 guitars for restringing and setup, one of which was my 63 Silvertone Jupiter. Both instruments were ready and waiting in less than a week, a huge +. When I returned to pickup the guitars Mason took the time to sit with me and provided an in-depth report concerning the work he had performed on the guitars. After some noodling around the playability of of both instruments had noticeably improved. Im dropping off 2 of my other guitars to have the guys at Spampinato Guitars perform a little more magic. If your looking to keep your instruments in tip top condition, look no further.JL
These guys will have my business in the future. I took my low end Gibson SG in for a setup and all new electronics/pickups to be installed. Mason also custom fitted a pickguard. Really nice guys to work with!
Great service; bass guitar set up and electronics fix. Bass sounds better than it has since I first bought it.
After a comprehensive (and fun) planning session, Matt hand-built my new guitar. Ive been playing for 30 years, but have never splurged on a guitar like this for myself. It sounds SO good, and the level of build quality is amazing, down to the tiniest detail. Matt really knows what hes doing here.
Excellent work installing an acoustic pickup on a vintage 12 string guitar. Prompt, friendly service. Would recommend for any guitar work.
It was time for a real guitar and I wanted something totally unique, also I wanted a parlor guitar for easy grab&go daily use, but something that I could still plug in with the band. Spampinato Guitars delivered the most incredible custom acoustic guitar Ive ever touched with redwood and koa wood - there will never be another one like it. All the guys are pros. Highly recommended.
Spampinato Guitars is what you need if youre a tone-junky guitarist ready for the next level. Matt hand-carves EVERY piece of wood to match your specifications of tone and style of play. Want the best custom instrument build by hand for you? Coolest and most amazing experience Ive ever had with a new guitar.
These guys helped set up a classic and an acoustic guitar for my wife and I. We are total beginners, just wanting to get some buzz out of our cheap instruments so we could have more fun playing. Matt was very helpful, explaining what was worth the effort of working on for our cheaper instruments, not just going for an upsell, but making sure we knew what was right for our needs. They got the work done very well, and our instruments are a blast to play now! Some extra things to mention:Matt also offered to help us pick out new guitars if we want to upgrade in the future, once we understand our style and needs better.Mason Shelmire also offers lessons for those who need them, has experience playing in bands, can teach bass, and his rates are better than the usual Guitar Center teachers. I havent taken lessons from him, due to the distance from my home, but its pretty awesome that he can do all of that on top of his luthier work!
Great experience with Matt and Mason. I brought in a custom lefty headless guitar (not very common) as the neck had ‘adjusted’ itself to the Denver climate. Anytime a neck is adjusted, there’s the possibility that it will throw the setup out of whack requiring additional work. They clearly warned me that it may need a full setup. Upon pickup, Matt noted that all it needed was the truss rod adjusted. They were honest and ethical in doing what was needed, not what made the most money. I then brought in a 90s Strat for fret work. Again, excellent work. Frets were leveled, recrowned and setup to eliminate the buzz. My Martin acoustic will be headed there shortly!
Absolutely professional, quality work at a reasonable price from personal service to special order and unmatched luthier knowledge, I have ultimate confidence that when I return Ill get the same quality and service time and time again! Thanks Matt and Mason!
Mason has been my luthier for awhile. He takes his job seriously and sets a high standard for his work, which keeps me reassured when I bring my guitars to him for any last minute TLC before a gig. I know I can count on Mason for quality work done on time.
Matt and Mason helped me out with three different guitars and did an excellent job. My strat needed a setup and new pot and I also had a very beat up Seagull 12 string that I thought might be a lost cause. The third was a very old custom tele that someone had made a mess of. I kept going back because of the solid work they did. All guitars play and sound great and I cant thank these guys enough. If you need any kind of work, setup or something more give these guys your business.
Great service. Great price. My guitar never sounded better.
I took my bass in on a Thursday to get it setup and have the wiring fixed. I walked in with my bass, talked to Mason and told him what I wanted. Mason was a very kind and welcoming guy. The very next day I got a call saying its ready; 1 day earlier than what I was told. I picked it up from Matt who is very thorough at explaining the work that had been done to my bass. I walked out a happy man with a brand new bass setup and it only took 1 whole day. I also appreciate that these guys didnt tell me to just get a 5 string after I told them I wanted it setup in drop B.
I took my Breedlove and Martin acoustic guitars to Matt & Mason for a little TLC. I have had both for many years and they needed some work i.e. fret board buzzing, dead spots, cracks, etc. They did an excellent job! They sound is BETTER than when they were originally purchased. The only thing that sounds better is one of the Spampinato custom guitars I strummed while visiting the store. I cant wait to get my hands on one once I have a little extra spending cash. Overall it was an awesome customer experience and the craftsmanship was exceptional.
Mason and the team over at Spampinato Guitars do amazing work for an affordable price. 10/10 would recommend, and would encourage everybody to support this local shop
Mason set up my fender Tele more than a year ago and the thing sounds amazing still. It’s a tough nut to crack. Despite my aggressive bends and bad habits it still feels like I’m riding a fresh steed every time I play her. Definitely have him set up your guitar.
These guys know their stuff. Fixed my custom made guitar good as new after a significant crack. Will definitely return. Thank you!!!!
These guys are absolutely amazing. I will only take my gear here from now on. Very professional and helpful.
I brought a 1971 gibson les paul cherryburst deluxe into Stampinato Guitars for a number of reasons . I initially spoke to Matt about several issues that I was concerned about. I felt very comfortable, and my initial feeling was very positive in speaking with Matt. I eventually worked more directly with Mason (Matts nephew) who explained all of the steps he was going to take to address my concerns. He kept me informed about pricing and process every step of the way. I picked up the guitar on 2/19/20 and I am pleased with the work that was done on my guitar including Masons creativity in actually creating some custom parts. I would highly recommend Spampinato Guitars for all of your guitar repairs/needs, from simple to more challenging and complex.Tom
Mason did a great job on a floating bridge install, fret dress and setup for me. He’s done the same for many of my friends as well.
If youre looking for a custom instrument of the highest quality and exquisite beauty then look no further.Upon the recommendation of a friend I called Matt Spampinato. I knew right then he was the only luthier to make my custom ukulele. He described the quality woods that he would use to bring out the unique voice of the instrument....Hawaiian Koa, Honduran Mahogany, Macassar Ebony & Indian Rosewood with Abalone for binding. My request for a strap button and low G string were no problem. When it arrived it was absolute perfection. I love the quality, tone and unique beauty of my custom ukulele. It inspires me to play and I enjoy admiring its beauty.
This ukulele has a piece of my heart. A work of art. I will cherish it forever. Matt and mason did a wonderful job.
They did a set up on my DAngelico it sounds just as good as the day I got it... if you are looking for a good place with great service and great knowledge come support these local Luthiers.
Brought in 3 guitars for repair and got them back playing and sounding great only a week later! High quality work and very friendly.
I needed my Mexican Fender Stratocaster refretted. I called several place who did not want to do it for me, then found Spampinato Guitars and Matt (really nice man). He said know problem and for a very reasonable price my guitar is like new again. Got to go play it now!!!!
Total pros...my guitar has never sounded better.
Choosing a luthier is the guitarist version of finding a child care provider for one’s kid. I brought my 1969 Martin in for repair work and I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again. Spampinato Guitars is an absolute asset to the Denver musician community.
I love the Spampinato Guitar guys! Matt and Mason are the best of the best. They are extremely knowledgable and passionate about their craft. As a ukelele player, it was great to have somewhere in SE Denver to take my instrument when it needed to be fixed. They are currently building me a custom made ukelele, and it was so interesting and fun to sit down with Matt to pick out all of the wood and plan the details. Cant wait to own an original Spampinato! Check these guys out - you wont regret it.
Great store and friendly. I would recommend this store to anyone. They take pride in what they do.

Matt and Mason are the best! I brought my guitar in on Tuesday and it was ready to pick up the next day! My tele thinline needed a pot replaced and a setup and it feels like butter when I play it! They are very welcoming and hard working luthiers that also makes very beautiful guitars! I had a great experience here and will be coming back! Thank you guys!
Good place to take a guitar for repairs
Mason did a great job on both of my guitars.Very attentive and I would highly recommend them.
