Tours filled up quickly, so make sure you get in on time or plan ahead. Hard candy tins and assortments may have your grandma’s house nostalgia come flooding back. Great selection of flavored candy canes, sticks, and pops. Roasted candied pecans were a nice sweet treat too! Kiddos in there seemed like they enjoyed the tour and excited to purchase candy too.

I ordered candy canes, both peppermint and cinnamon, as well as candy cane trees. The company was out of the regular trees and wouldnt be producing any until later this month so they called me to ask if I would like them to substitute for the organic candy trees or cancel that part of the order. Very thoughtful and professional. I really liked the idea they were made in the United States rather than out of the country. Very quick shipping. The box of goodies arrived yesterday and the packaging was excellent. Lots of great plastic packaging to prevent candy from breaking. Everything in perfect shape. Thank you for making this shopping experience so wonderful.

I arrived early to make sure I was there on time and they got me in on an earlier group. Which was very nice because the group I was in appearntly was a much larger group. The tour guide was very nice, informative and made you feel at home. The candy is delicious, friendly staff and great prices! I would definitely recommend this to anyone coming into and around Denver!

The Hammonds Candy Factory was a great place for a quick, fun stop while in Denver. We did the tour, which started with a movie that tells the history of the brand. After the movie, we did a small tour of the factory. The tour was pretty quick, but was informative. After the tour, you are led to the candy store. They have lots of Hammonds brands, but other brands are there as well. Overall, it was a fun thing to do if you love sweets.

Informative but short tour.My little was disappointed by the tour - so maybe check your expectations. The tour started with a 10 min video about the history of the company. It’s a fun video with some trivia about how things are made. Then there are 2 places to view the workers through windows. A tour guide explains the process. I found it fascinating! But that’s the whole tour. They end by sending you into a store. Huge selection. We spent about 30 min total.

I thought this place supported freedom, called and was assured so. When we arrived “they changed their mind.” Will not be supporting until the mandates are removed. Making children who are 99.9% resilient wear a face diaper is just wrong. We will take our business elsewhere.

One of the best free tours I’ve been on! A quick history video was shown while we out on our candy makers hats before we saw parts of the factory and we were able to see them make their famous candy canes! At the end of the tour, we each got a free candy cane that was broken (since they can’t sell those). We spent a lot of time looking around at all the candy in their store and walked out with (what seems like) one of everything. Definitely try their Mitchell Candies. Our group of 30-somethings definitely enjoyed it all!

Unfortunately we didn’t get to tour the factory. They didn’t have our group on their schedule although we had a reservation number. We were late and I figured we might not be able to tour which was fine. The only reason I decided to review the factory was because the attendant at the front desk was so rude to us. We didn’t argue with him but he talked down to us and was completely condescending and just outright nasty. Im sure the factory tour is lovely but this guy was so rude I didn’t even want to reschedule.

Great place to visit and a must see stop if you are visiting Denver. The candy shop is amazing. There are lots of varieties including fudge, truffles, gourmet bars, and a large assortment of hard candies such as lollipops. The tour is sorry but sweet. The intro video helps set the stage. The actual tour goes by quickly but is entertaining and informative. We got to see one of the founder family members experimenting on a new flavor. You wont get to see something like that at a large batch candy shop. The prices are reasonable but in line with gourmet candy (dont expect Hershey chocolate bar prices).

It was fun to take the tour again and visit the store. We were there 13 years ago for our honeymoon and now back again for poor anniversary. We brought the kiddos along. Seeing the candy being made is a fun experience. There are so many different types of candy here. Though some items are a higher price than what we would typically spend, there are lots of deals to be found. Like the Oops Bags filled with candy that didnt come out the right shape and weight. The bag is a bargain at only $5. There are other deals as well like buy one get one free on tuxedo marshmallows. You should be able to find something here. Its all so good!

Hammonds Candies offers free tours (lasting half an hour) of their factory. You need to book online to reserve a spot. There were only about 10 other people on our 10:30 am tour for a Saturday. Fortunately for us (but unfortunately for the employees), they still make candy over the weekend, so that was nice to get to see some candy-making in action. The tour ends in their factory store. The candy is actually not that cheap there, like I would expect it to be at its own factory. They do have some items on discount like broken lollipops, or chocolate thats about to expire, but thats about it. We bought a few chocolate bars to bring home to try, but they were way too sweet in my opinion.FYI - Its about a 10-15 drive from Downtown Denver, and they have a big parking lot.

I had never heard of Hammonds Candies until my fiance mentioned we should visit during our Denver, CO trip. The staff shows you a short film about the beginnings of the company and how they operate today. The film is entertaining and educational. They also have a trivia thrown in, and it is fun to see the kids getting excited if they get the right answer. Tour-goers dont actually get to see the factory from the inside. Instead, we see the factory and its workers through large glass windows. There is a staff member who narrates what the candy workers are doing and explains the process. Towards the end of the tour, you are led to the candy store after being given a free oops candy cane, which is a broken candy cane not suitable to be sold. The store has mostly expensive candies, but some of them are pretty affordable. The chocolates are the most expensive at around $20/lb, if I recall correctly. Overall, its a fun thing to do on a weekday afternoon, especially if you have a sweet tooth.
