Ive been going to this location for years, but ever since management changed and the new staff started, this place hasnt maintained the same level of customer service or accuracy of inventory online compared to in store. The staff arent very personable and tend to chat amongst themselves. They also dont seem very well informed about what they have in stock. I asked what sauvignon blanc from New Zealand they had, and neither of the individuals working seemd to have a clue. I ended up locating several in store myself. Before going into the store, I checked the online inventory, since it used to be fairly accurate to what was in store. When I searched for sauvignon blancs from NZ at this location, nothing came up. The online inventory used to reflect quite closely what inventory this location had in stock. I guess they arent maintaining their inventory system accurately anymore as well.Hopefully this location gets better at its customer service and inventory management. Currently, both are disappointing.
Impressive selection and pricing. My wife and I happened to drop by on a day when they were offering 40% off 12 bottles. We would have been happy with the normal 25% discount! Most wines seem to be in the under $20 range, though there are some selections in the $30 to $50 range. As someone who loves Bordeaux reds, I found some choices to get excited about. Though not as much my thing, there is also a lot of California wine, and Italian, Spanish, Australian and South American choices.
Employees are knowledgeable and very friendly. Have really good deals on boutique wines. Well worth it to buy your wine there.
Great selection & Tony is awesome, thank you for your kindness!
Juan went above and beyond to help me with an online order! I am grateful for his expertise and follow through. I was so excited to get my wine that I would have given him a hug if we werent all masked and Covid cautious right now!!
By far my favorite wine/liquor store in the Denver metro area. The staff here are very knowledgeable and friendly andextend every courtesy. The variety and choices of selection are nothing short of amazing. Very cozy and welcoming environment. I would recommend anyone and everyone.
I had heard wonderful things about this shop and also was made aware of their great specials that they run every now and then, so I was really excited to check them out.My sister went with me to help me pick out wine, however she did not have her ID(didn’t know this until we were checking out) While she had no intention of purchasing any wine she was still required to show her ID. I understand and respect that it is up to the establishment on who they card, however, I don’t agree with the fact that I was told that I could not come back later that day and pick out my bottles again (without my ID-less sister) and purchase wine. That I have a problem with and do not understand the logic behind it.
Prices of wine are amazing for downtown, the weekly deals they run are amazing. But the staff is better than all of that combine.
This hidden gem is one of the best places to get wine in Denver. Extremely knowledgeable staff, great rotating selection, and fantastic deals. If you need to stock up on wine at home this is the place to go!
Insane discounts and very kind staff.
Very posh. Snooty servers, and expensive. Great wine though. I mean it better be for 38 dollars for one bottle and that being the least expensive. Lets just say bring a chunk of change if you want to have fun there.
Sip Fine Wine & Spirits is a great wine store. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. The have a great selection of wines at good values. The store has a wonderful atmosphere. The tastings and bargain bins are great ways to expand your palate. Cheers!
Nice place with a decent selection. However, required to see ALL IDs of everyone in my party although I was the only person purchasing. Colorado law (orDenver county law) does not require this and even allows minors in liquor stores as well as to purchase nonalcoholic items, demanding to see all members IDs is unnecessary and borders on invasion of privacy. Did not and will not give them my business or recommendation.
Great Service. wear a mask
Worst experience ever. Like really! When asked about a wine he said, “go look on the shelves.” Then he stared me down and was almost daring me to leave. So strange. I’ve never experienced anything like this. When he glared at me and said, “both must have ID” it kind of reminded me of silence of the lambs.
Staff is very knowledgeable and willing to help you figure out what to buy if youre not a wine connoisseur. Owners are very friendly people. They have a great selection of wines and have tastings most Thursdays and Saturdays. Id recommend checking it out. Free 2 hour parking just a block up the street on Market right past 21st.
Although small, SIP has a very nice selection of wine and beer. The staff is very nice (Nathan) and knowledgeable. I especially love the rewards program they have (for every $10 you spend you get a punch on your loyalty card and after 10 punches you get $10 off). I would definitely visit their store again!
I love this wine store! They have a great selection of wines, including a number of reds that you dont find that often in other Denver shops. I particularly like their selection of Spanish reds. The store is beautiful and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The reserve room in the back has some hidden gems. I highly recommend Sip!Gary
Great selection of delicious wine and always have good deals. If your looking for beer they have a more limited but still pretty good selection of craft brews. If your looking for spirits, I dont think they have any. Could be wrong, but look elsewhere for a better selection
I live just north Parker and SIP Fine Wine & Spirits is quite a drive for a bottle of wine or bubbly. But a visit there is worth the trip. The customer service is extraordinary. You can walk in, give a general description of what you want and a price, and they will walk you through the store and give you a detailed list of recommendations. Once they even opened a bottle to give me a taste. Or tell them what you are serving and let them make suggestions. I am continually amazed that they remember such details, which my experienced wine friends repeat independently. They have never tried to upsell me into a higher price of wine that I originally asked for. These guys make you look like a wine expert when you are really a neophyte. It is worth the time and gas to visit this wine shop.
Great deals and a fantastic selection of wine, beer, and spirits. Best place in LoDo to go by far!Staff is great too.
Sip Fine Wine & Spirits is a fantastic wine shop. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and willing to take the extra time to talk and get to know you. The Thursday wine tastings are a great way to try new wines and you cant beat the tasting wine discounts. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a local wine shop.
Excellent selection of wines that are reasonably priced. The people that work here are very knowledgeable and can help with wine pairings. The atmosphere is my favorite part, the coolest place to buy wine in all of Denver!
Very good wine selection with a range of prices. Beer and liquor also available but not abundant in choice. The store looks amazing and I had excellent service. Definitely will return on my next visit.
We live in northern Denver and dont often come downtown, but when we do we enjoy stopping by Sip! They have a great selection of wines from all around the world. The staff is very knowledgable and have always recommended a wine that we have enjoyed. The tastings are a bonus and we usually purchase a wine that we try. A must try for wine lovers!
Great place for wine, reasonable prices, and very knowledgeable staff
I love picking out wine here. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and always helpful! Decent beer and liquor selection too, but go for the wine.
This is one of the nicest wine stores that I have been to. There knowledge and price points are wonderful and who doesnt like a good wine tasting while shopping! I highly recommend this store for your wine buying.
Knowledgeable staff that greet you with a warm welcome. These folks have taken care of me on many repeated visits to the shop.Their passion and keen attention to serve the customer the best experience in shopping is unprecedented. In other words, the staff have expertise and input when asked for and is offered upon entrance, but they do not harp, hover or suggest anything without getting to know you.Great craft beer, great wine selection, great staff and great little place. Please give it a try.Prost.
This place was first suggested to me by a co-worker because of the weekly wine testings. Well after I first visited I knew this was going to be a favorite of mine. This is a very cool shop with great variety and not heaps of beer and wine all over the place. Nice relaxed layout allows one to browse and enjoy the experience.
The location of SIP is great - especially if you need something as a gift for a co-worker. The people are great and the overall experience is pleasant. I highly recommend checking out SIP.
I like this place because it has a small business feel where youre not just another sale but someone they want to get to know and share their experience with. The wines are organized by where they come from in the world which makes it easier for me to choose new brands based on what Ive liked before.
From purchasing wine to interacting with their team at wine tastings, my experience with Sip has been very enjoyable! Everyone is very knowledgeable and they bring in the right people to educate the team and the average Joe. It has become my go-to place!!
I had a wonderful experience at Sip! The staff helped me pick the best wine for my budget and was very friendly in the process. I loved the wine they suggested and Id go there any time I needed wine! :)
Each wine tasting evening is a wine education and we always leave with remarkable wines. For us, a bottle of wine should have a story, and what we always get from SIP is the story behind the wine. We love sharing SIP wine and the SIP story!!
This is a beautiful space, and the wines are easily accessible, as is the staff. Not a particularly knowledgeable wine drinker, it was nice to not be treated like an idiot. Parking is a pain, though!
Best liquor store downtown ! Brandy and Juan are super helpful and very courteous !
Every time i have gone into Sip, the experience has been great. The staff is really knowledgeable, and i even stumbled into a free wine tasting! I also receive their emails, now that i know about the tastings, and it has been great!
Great liquor store in the heart of Lodo. Parking can be difficult sometimes but be patient, its worth looking for a spot! I usually go there for wine as the staff is very good about suggesting what to buy. You can tell them price, varietal or food type and theyll be able to give you a recommendation that fits the bill. Great selection of beer as well, especially seasonal varieties and local breweries.
Beautiful little place. Adorable staff. 💜
Awesome help! Great selection!
A wonderful selection of wine not found at most stores, with great prices and even better service.
Excellent selection and helpful staff who help you find just the right wine for any occasion.
Staff is very friendly and helpful with a great selection
Buy one get one for $0.25 is an awesome deal
They have a large selection of wines from around the world. Knowledgeable staff.
