We moved to the area six months ago and I wish we knew about this place sooner! The staff is very friendly and eager to help you out. They are very knowledgeable about their beers and let us sample a few before we decided on a glass. They also take the time to check on you once youve sat down, which I thought was really nice. The brewery has board and card games for entertainment and a food truck outside if you get hungry. Another plus is that they allow dogs.We will definitely be back to try trivia that they host on Wednesdays!Original Yelp review 12/31/2017
I love this place! It used to be right by apartment, so Id visit frequently. They have high quality beer. Im not much of an IPA fan, though Ive heard theirs are delicious. I always enjoy their other styles, especially their spicy beer.
The best part of breweries is the option to try a taster or two before selecting a pint, as they are all so special.Comrade brewery no longer does tasters and there are far too many options in Denver to let that bother me. Two stars may have been generous.
The awards the brewery has won over the years should speak volumes alone. The beer is high quality, expertly crafted, and above all delicious. Their tap room is spacious, staff polite and friendly. The outdoor space is a welcome addition. Have been visiting frequently for some time now and will continue to do so.
If wacky and experimental is your only desire, I dont think this is the place for you. But that is the only reason I can think of that you could not love what is on offer here. Everything Ive tried of theirs has been refreshing, tasty, and comforting. Ive not been disappointed yet. I bet I wont ever be.
I have been going here for about 4 or 5 years really good place excellent beer. Superpower IPA, Defcon red ale, Yellow fever jalapeno beer, to name just a few of many, well worth the time there!
We are new to the area and live nearby. We go there twice a week,, only because there are no other decent options. After three months, only one beertender has acknowledged seeing us before. Definitely doesn’t feel welcoming. In addition, they won’t let you taste a beer. Comes across as cheap.
Love this place! Good beer, great people. Usually a food truck there on Saturdays so you can chill and eat and enjoy.
Tasty brews and food trucks too.I love their Red October ale.
I have been going here since it started and it is by far one of the most consistently awesome breweries for producing top quality beers. Their staff is beyond amazing as well. Highly recommend!
I’m pretty damn sure the beers are good! But you cannot sample the beers. I suggest allowing ppl to bring their own 4oz glass for sampling. Cause I really wanted to sample more beers today. I definitely would have bought the orange creamsicle but I don’t want to drink a whole 32oz growler in 1 sitting.I wanted to buy a 6 pack of the superpower ipa & the orange creamsicle. But unfortunately they don’t offer 6 packs 😤☹️
Great spot, always enjoyed the food trucks they have. Love to recommend the jalapeno blonde ale they carry
Staff was friendly and nice. Great selection of beers.
Fantastic ipas and pale ales is the reason to be here. They have a rotating pepper beer too (jalapeño blonde this time). I wouldnt suggest here if a hops focus isnt your thing, but if it is, they are some of if not the best clear pale ales that exist. Superpower IPA should always be tried if you havent gotten one yet. I was most impressed with their Honeyman 41 and Kingsley though the most this past visit (American IPA, and English Pale respectively).
Super beers (hello Superpower and Superdamp) and a great staff.
This is hard to make sufficiently strongly worded. I’ve been fortunate enough to travel much of the world, and this is one of (if not THE) best brewery I’ve ever seen for IPAs. Their beers typically consist of a mix of IPA (Single, Session, Brut, DDH and occasionally a Wet-Hopped) as well as a healthy amount of Gose options and a blonde, red, and coffee milk stout for people that don’t like the bitterness of an IPA. The theme is a play off the Soviet sickle and hammer, hence the name, and it’s pretty cool how they’ve artistically played into that with a hop based sickle and a wheat based hammer in their logo. They regularly have a food truck outside during lunch and evening hours, rotating schedule is on their website, if Goldie’s Burgers is there, get a “Golden Standard” (a burger with potato chips and House sauce on it....sweet god). If they have a beer called “Superdamp” while your there, get it. It’s weird and awesome haha. If they don’t, and you like IPAs, start with the classic flagship beer: “Superpower”. Prices are a steal for the quality, and frankly, low in general for the proximity to Denver. Colorado is one of the beer pilgrimage spots of the world, and for people that like IPAs this is my number one recommendation for people that come to visit me. My only regret is that with so many breweries to try in Denver and The Springs, it took me years to find this place... don’t make the same mistake. Go.... now :)
Nice, small brewer. Comfortable environment. A great local brewery.
Excellent beer, big taproom, nice folks.
They don’t allow tastings. First brewery I’ve been to where they won’t allow that. Also, no dogs allowed even when it’s raining and they don’t serve food…
Sup Denver, Colorado ...got to hang out with my oldest daughter here and have some amazing beer, great food from Billy’s burgers, great workers ... made me want to go Rio...and most of all no dale moments but very cool peeps to hang out with, especially Cheryl what a ray of sunshine that class act lady,...overall it Marx a kool way to exit back to San Diego... defiantly a great place! And got my son a kool beanie! Cheers !
Wonderful beers, never had one I didnt thoroughly enjoy. Very crisp beers, not to heavy a mouthfeel even in the stouts. Daily food trucks, but if you arent in the mood for what is there that day, Comrade is in a prime location close to so many unique restaurants within less than a 10 minute drive. Katsu Ramen, Angry Chicken etc.I also really like the collabs they do with other breweries as well.Very spacious interior with two full bars and lots of seating. Good lighting, not too dark.Overall an awesome brewery.
If youre looking for great beer, look no further.
The IPAs taste like IPAs, not hazy milkshake pineapple brut whatevers
Good selection of beer, food trucks outside for food are a bonus
Came in while waiting for my car to be repaired. So impressed by the care everyone here was taking to ensure a safe place to enjoy a beverage. Everyone was respectful and customers did the best they could to do the same. Makes it clear to me why Colorado is fairing pretty well in this fight. If this were my neighborhood bar, I’d come back often. Good luck to you Comrade Brewing! You deserve to survive!!
These guys care so much about the customer experience that they spent 1000s of dollars acoustically treating the space so you dont have to yell to hear your friends. The beers are incredible, superpower ipa is a classic and easily the best ipa.
The bartenders are super kind and friendly but they dont have sours or gluten free ales like angry orchards on tap
Comrade Brewing is a no-brainer if you like craft beer. Every thing about Comrade brews is thoughtful and delicious. They have award winning IPAs and the best chili beer around (gold at world beer cup). Honestly, I havent had a bad beer anytime I have been there to drink (which is frequently because I love this place and it is close to my house). The location is large and great for group gatherings or work happy hours. I have hosted a birthday party and a few work meetings at Comrade, always with ease and friendliness from the staff. Most nights there is a food truck, they put this info on their website and on social media. If I am going to drink a beer in Colorado, I am going to Comrade Brewing. This place is awesome.
My friends and I had a great time!
The beat IPAs in Denver. The More Dodge Less Ram this year is a superb beer.
Always a great time especially when you bring your pupper. Try the Superpower IPA. Its one of the only IPAs I like, since I dont like that category in the first place, its already impressive that there is so much flavor in theirs.
Staff is so nice love it there
Weve now been to 50 Denver breweries and this is #1. Superpower IPA is the best IPA in America (just ask GABF). In non-COVID, dogs are allowed into a chill seating area served by real nice staff. Food trucks most days of the week. So glad to live in Denver and have Comrade here.
The phenomenal service provided to my friend and I by Kai made us want to keep coming back! We asked for drink suggestions and we got a tasty lineup of beers!
Excellent staff and drinks. tip your servers! Six stars
Great beers and friendly staff. Fully complying with all covid-19 guidelines. Love coming here and will continue to do so.
Staff was great, atmosphere is chill but safe and the beer was tasty.
Great place with a wide variety. A great place to bring you dog. Always has great food options as well. I especially love the wings/rib tips on Fridays & the pasta on Wednesdays.
Great quick pickup, call 30 mins in advance, and if someone else picking up, make sure to check the chebox in the app!
Amazing staff. 5 stars!
Good safety measures - great beer!
The beers, More Dodge Less Ram, Probably a Communist and Superpower are all terrific! Its also terrific that Comrade Brewery employs and supports trans ppl.
Great customer service and fantastic award winning beers. Highly recommend
Kind of a mans place. I felt treated differently. The beer is good and the tables are nice.
Ive only made it here a couple of times but I havent had a single complaint so far. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is nice, and most importantly the beer is great. Dogs are welcome which is great, and theres usually a food truck outside which hasnt disappointed yet. Would definitely recommend.
Good beer (great if you like IPA) & friendly staff who are super helpful.
Casual, dog friendly, amazing beers! Came here because it’s hard to find a Chile/spicy beer... they got it! Great friendly staff & board/card games on site. Check it out! My girlfriend and I love this place!
Not typically an IPA guy, but thought signature beer was great! Guest tap was also quite good.
This is actually a 4 1/2 star review. Let me explain why as its a crucial flaw of an otherwise Glorious Brewery.Walking into the Brewery, I was greeted with strong red wall displaying the most Glorious of Flags with a variety of taps that pour in-house brewed ales, lagers, and many more as cold as Sibera! Upon selecting which of these ideal examples of carbonated Communist creation is when my fascist fever dream ended. To my surprise, and eventual dismay and disgust, the variation of price between brews shows that Comrade Brewing does not believe that all beers hold equal value. This lack of equality regarding the economics in their Strong Symbol to the Soviet System shows total disregard to the Communist way of life. In order to give myself, and your customers, the capitalist-free experience we crave I suggest charging a truly Communist flat-rate for each serving of beer, regardless of size, style, or alcohol content. ⚒️Awesome beer, friendly and helpful beertenders, and fun, novelty atmosphere. The community tables also add bit of communism without the starvation and genocide. 10/10 I visit everytime Im in town.
I have only been once, but I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere. I we were able to hold a conversation without yelling across the table. The beer list was heavy on the IPAs and Stouts, Im not a fan of either but my guys is. I would definitely recommend giving it a try at least once.
The only thing that out shines the crafted beers is the raw, un-crafted people that brew and serve it. The team that makes this dream a reality is doing so as a combination of skill and intuition. The beers crafted by this team are amazing. The people that stands behind them, are even more so. There is a passion within everyone whom participates in their endeavor that could make even river water taste like gold.
My husband and I love this place! The jalapeno beer is our favorite. Its great that you can take dogs in as well. However I do wish they had a better selection of food trucks. Sometimes the food is hit-or-miss and weve ordered fries from one of the food trucks and its always soggy :-( would be nice if they had more snacks you could order
Been enjoying finding the (go 2) ipA,s a long time. I JUST recently heard great news about comrade. We were slightly disappointed since they were out of one of there gold medal ipas and limited all selections.Location is average with a small and of course limited pandemic seating area. They were safety first environment.Colorado is the king of brewery beer and comrades is a true contender. We are in no hurry to return.
My favorite local brewery and thats aaying a lot with Copper Kettle and Bull & Bush nearby as well (theyre both awesome as well). Fantasitic IPAs even better staff!
Came here for the first time yesterday. Super cool vibe and great beers on tap... I definitely recommend checkin them out☺️
Excellent suds, establishmentVery compfy. Will go back for sure.
Awesome beer, stellar staff, and food trucks!
Good traditional beers. Great service
This is a really spacious area considering how small it is. Plenty of seating and so, so many beers to try. I had their Juicy Session IPA and it was real good. They also have a ton of board games available to play while you hang and TVs to watch sports. Its worth a stop by to see why theyve won so many competitions.
Comrades is always a good time. Plenty of good brews to choose from and the staff are always friendly and warm. Its one of my favorite local breweries and def recommend it. You wont go wrong with Comrades!
The beers are very good and varied, including guest taps. Large space. Nice rotating group of food trucks. Theyve done an excellent job making themselves child- and dog-friendly.
Very relaxing atmosphere, husband loves the beer variety. Merchandise is awesome. Various food trucks are always attending there. Friendly, attentive and amazing staff. If youre visiting or live here you have to check this place out!
This is the first brewery that my wife and I tried after moving from Minneapolis to the Denver area. The venue is great and we loved that it was dog friendly and a welcoming environment. Also a plus to have the food truck option. Will be coming back!
Great beer, great atmosphere, and plenty of room to find a table and hang out with friends. They cost of their flagship IPA, Super Power, is $7 which is a bit high, but its so delicious its worth the extra cost. Most other beers are $6 for a full pint. Overall their beer is fantastic and the tap room is great.
Great IPAs and outdoor seating
The beer here is outstanding and the service is generally friendly. They have good food trucks available most of the time. The REDCON Irish Red is by far my favorite brew of theirs, and its smooth like butter. The only thing keeping them from five stars is the lack of a kitchen and consistent food service.
Good beer! So many families here! The music is everything that was on my high school ipod. Awesome atmosphere:)
Great original beer creations! We love this place- they often have a good food truck near by to grab a bite with the brews.
Five stars for award winning IPAs and other tasty brews
Neat place. Came for Geeks Who Drink on a Wednesday and they let me reserve a table for 6. Love the cute, well behaved dogs inside. Ordered from the food truck of the day, but saw a sign saying we could have brought our own food in.
Used to be a cool place now hard pass
My Air Force buddy took me here during a Brewery crawl and I got a taster with a good number of the draft selections. I didnt really have a beer I didnt like. The only one I would probably not want a full pint of was the jalapeno witbier I tried. It was interesting, and a taster was about the right size for me.if I wind up back in Denver, Ill probably want to go back.
In a town inundated with breweries, the majority I have been to are just about the same.Same style, same beers, some decor, same staff. Same blatant money-making venture.Enter Comrade.Id been meaning to come in for some time, as I used to work nearby. When the company moved, so did I, and I lost the opportunity. Finally had a chance to come in, took it up.Id had a couple of their beers before, as an old friend had some, and when you are offered free beer, you damn well better accept that offer.I dont know. The beer was decent, but nothing spectacular. The staff was unsmiling and just stood there looking at you without a greeting or anything. Waiting for your order. Waiting...waiting...waiting for me to order? Disappear? Get out of their sight so they could go back to chatting with their friends? I dont know. They obviously spent a load of money on this place. TVs, fancy bar, tons of swag to purchase. But when push comes to shove, the beer was just average. Nothing stood out at all, nothing to draw me back in.
When Comrade opened, I prayed that their beers wouldnt suck since its in my neighborhood. Mercifully, their entire lineup is great or at least good. They dont specialize in a particular style, so there should be something for everyone in your group. In addition to their regular offerings, they constantly have several seasonal or guest beers, often with adventurous flavors. The staff are friendly, and not the dismissive hipsters you find at too many other places. Geeks Who Drink trivia on Wednesday nights, food trucks most of the time, and you can always bring the kids.
Great place. Really great atmosphere. Dog friendly. It has board games and other game stuff to play while getting toasty. Really nice place to get a beer and order some food to be delivered to you.
Their year round beers are all classics and they have an excellent selection of rotating taps. Atmosphere on the weekends gets packed and they have a couple TVs with sports on most of the time. Ive always had a good time here.
Great dog friendly brewery with delicious beer. My boyfriend and I have been going here since they opened and it never disappoints.
Best brewery on this side of anywhere if you like IPAs but their Stalin variants are great too
They got fantastic choices of beers! Environment r good and simple. Nothing wrong being a comrade to this brewery!
Love this place and the beer! BUT please change the food trucks on Friday and dont bring back the jazz band. Or at least tell them to not be amplified. The music was extremely loud and caused multiple holdouts to leave which I can only imagine hurts the business. As for the food trucks, changing them up would be good too! There are a lot of good food trucks in Denver so the diversity would be good!
I really liked the atmosphere and the music here. Sadly, they were out of about half of their own beers, plus a bunch of guest taps. Having an Italian stand set up to deliver to the tables is a nice touch as well and they had a delicious, though unconventional, calzone.
Fun brewery with some tasty and interesting beers. They dont sell food so if you want to eat something, you are limited to whats in the strip mall with them...so, Sonic and that sort of thing. But despite its location Comrade is definitely fun.
Colorado pint day. Great brewery. Loved the Mosaic single hopped IPA. Comrade never does me wrong.
Wonderful food, excellent service and atmosphere was fantastic. Would go back in a heartbeat. Definitely recommend!
Of all the hop-forward breweries that have opened in Denver over the past decade or so, Comrade may be the best. Their Superpower IPA has already won several medals and national beer competitions, even though the brewery has been around only two years. And while the majority of their beers are very hop-centric, a quality I normally dont love, they are so well balanced and crafted that Ive never had a beer here i did not like. They have free WiFi, are dog friendly, but do not have many food options beyond an occasional food truck, so bring a picnic or plan to order delivery if youre hungry.
Great beer and vibe
Amazing beers and great staff! Super friendly. You can bring your own food and they allow dogs. They also have food trucks daily
