Have consistently waited an hour (almost two once) the past two months. This is out of control. I cant even transfer my scripts because they dont answer the phone. If youre understaffed then stop taking orders. Making the sick, disabled and elderly wait uncomfotably is shameful and shows that an absolute monster must be managing thisplace.

All of my prescriptions got transferred here from Drug Emporium after they closed and it has been downhill since. They never answer the phones. If you want to actually be helped you have to go into the store and wait in line for 30 minutes just to be helped by employees that clearly don’t care. I placed a request for a refill on 10/15 that was supposed to be ready on 10/18. I thought that was a long time, but I’m fine with waiting up to a certain point. I called the pharmacy 3 times today to no avail and finally decided to go in person. Turns out they don’t have my prescription and hadn’t even processed my request. The pharmacy tech who helped me clearly didn’t care and actually said “we don’t carry that medication here and i don’t know when we’re gonna get it, could be tomorrow but i don’t know”. The confusing thing is I’ve gotten 3 refills of this basic medication and for some reason they aren’t carrying it anymore? There was also no communication with me about that.It’s just one thing after another. Transferring my prescription to another local pharmacy tomorrow. I would suggest that you do the same. This pharmacy and it’s employees are useless.

This Walgreens store is great Store employees are super nice stores always clean. But the pharmacy is the absolute worst and it Is the slowest pharmacy in Denton. I dread having to pick up medication for my mother. There is no urgency in their movements behind the counter when they have cars lined up or a line of people inside.

This is the WORST Pharmacy ever. The WORST. Your on hold forever then when they pick up they have a major attitude. Your sent to a call center in different states. I mean they really need to tear this place down, fire everyone and start over. Walmart Pharmacy on University is the BEST. Their Customer Service is EXCELLENT and their Prices much cheaper!!

The employees are always friendly. The wait times at the pharmacy can be a little long. The service is great. I did encounter an issue with them being out of 4x6 photo paper once, but it came back in stock the next week.

Slowest pharmacy I have ever been to in my whole life. I wait in line for a minimum of 45 minutes every time i pick up my meds. I call ahead a couple of days every single time. Do better.

THIS IS THE WORST PLACE TO GET YOUR MEDICATION. THEY DONT ANSWER THEIR PHONE AND THEIR ANSWERING MACHINE SAYS YOU HAVE MORE THAN 3 CALLERS IN FRONT OF YOU WHEN IN FACT THEY ARE NOT ANSWERING ANY OF THEIR CALLS. This location has been out of my Synthroid for a week now. I was told perhaps other locations would have it. When asked, we were told that they were too busy to check. So I called the location on loop 288. The pharmacist explained that their centralized warehouse was out of stock so they too were out of my Synthroid. At least this pharmacist indicated that the Walgreens in Corinth was not supplied by the same warehouse system and they probably have it in inventory. Thank you for the referral. I called Corinth and yes it was in stock and I had my 90-day prescription in 2 hours. I expected better service from the University Walgreens. If it wasn’t for the 24hr status of this location, I would transfer my prescriptions. Hopefully this is just a one-off. We will see.

If you read all these bad reviews about the pharmacy and think it will be different for you, just know that it won’t. I have been told my refills will be ready multiple times and wasted an hour round trip each time to be told that my medication isn’t ready and they don’t know what happened. Forget ever getting someone on the phone because that will never happen, they will keep picking up and putting you on hold. Go ahead and save yourself a lot of time and go LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE.

This is the WORST Walgreens in Denton. They are always out of every day common prescriptions. Recently they were out of an everyday thyroid medication that I have to take daily to LIVE. They didn’t know when they would get it back in stock. I went without for three days and it never came in. I ended up having to have it filled at a Walgreens 40 min away bc they were just out of it and didn’t offer any suggestions. Physician called in prescriptions are never ready. The staff is RUDE. I was just told that a prescription for strep would take end of day to get filled. It’s currently 9:30 am. There is no shred of customer service or common sense at this location.

Shout out to the two guys manning the store at midnight during the Denton 2021 Valentines snow-pocalypse. Helped me out grabbing peroxide to induce vomiting in my dog who ate a bunch of chocolate in the middle of the night. Literally saved my dog.

I haven’t ever written a review but after walking out of this walgreens in tears i thought it was time. They hadn’t refilled my prescription despite an email proving i had filled it at this location. As soon as I walked up the pharmacy tech was extremely rude and made me feel like their mistake was my fault. She offered no apology and told me I needed to come back several hours later when I had a text that my prescription was filled. Seeing how everyone else has had bad customer service experience it makes me wonder why nothing has been done.

Every. Single. Time. I pick up a prescription which I have to monthly, or when my toddler has an ear infection which is the reason I am here now - I come in and wait for over an hour to pick up our prescription. I sit inside and it’s never ready when we get there, it’s a 30 min drive to the pharmacy from his pediatricians office.. Kroger can miraculously make this happen but apparently Walgreens is either insanely popular which by the parking lot, it’s not. Or they are extremely understaffed. I have once again been here for over 1.5 hours now. Attempted inside and drive thru and I’m still parked 2nd in line. I would HIGHLY recommend going to a different pharmacy unless you have all day or evening to wait to pick it up or if your kids aren’t on a schedule and dinner, bath, or bedtime is irrelevant. 0 stars. I’d also like to add it is only at this location. CVS across the street is just as bad. Go to Teasley, Loop 288, or swisher.

Called ahead to verify acceptance of GoodRx coupon for sons flu shot because he doesnt have insurance and got runaround though site clearly states Walgreens is a participant and stated a price of $28.Pharmacy tech said they werent obligated to take the coupon since it was a preventative medicine.Called GoodRx to inform them and yet to do so with corporate during business hours.Not good community-minded service from my experience here.We ended up going to Walmart on West University drive. Got an in-house coupon at a cheaper price than advertised by Walgreens, ($20 and change), for uninsured individuals.

Person at drive through window was very short and rude. Dont normally use this pharmacy but the one I use was closed. My husband has cancer, spent most of the night in ER, and needed the meds right away. I drove 20 miles because this was the closest 24 hr. Pharmacy to me only to be treated with disdain and unnecessary rudeness.I hope I do not have to use this pharmacy again.

Quite possibly the slowest pharmacy in all of Denton. Ive been sitting behind 2 other cars for 20 minutes, and theyve been waiting even longer than myself. Its clear you need more employees here, maybe you should hire some so we dont have to wait nearly a half hour in a drive up pharmacy.

**WARNING** CDC told Walgreens that they can not do any vaccinations unless pregnant or being deployed, per the rude pharmacist working there. REST ASSURED, CVS can do them!!!!Walgreens put me in tears after not honoring my appointment for a doctor ordered Boostrix TDAP Vaccine after my exposure to rusty cattle fence. I have always shopped Walgreens but NEVER again after this and the rude person there. Me and all my family will switch to CVS where true care and service exist!!!!

This store is good. They keep a good variety of things stocked in the store. The customer service here is good as well. I haven’t had a problem in this store and I’ve visited it plenty of times. Overall I have had a great experience, and will definitely be returning.

Pharmacy is constantly understaffed. Every time I pick up prescriptions, its a 30 minute wait. Doesnt matter if you go inside or through the drive through, minimum 30 minutes. When I spoke to management, they informed me that they will not put additional staff in the pharmacy so they can remain profitable.

Went to get prescribed antibiotics at noon, was told I’d have to wait an hour and a half, no biggie. Here we are at almost 6pm and it’s still not ready....I’ve just now read the other reviews and seen the 24-hour-wait horror stories for this location, hope that doesn’t end up being me. I don’t want to be in pain that long. Been on hold for over 40 min now while they try to “figure it out.”

This walgreens is absolutely horrible! After 3 back and forth arguments about my medicine, they finally have it ready several hours later. I waited in line just for the pharmacist to drop my medicine on the ground outside. I ended up leaving with only half of my prescription since they did not have enough for a full refill. The pharmacy technician on the phone was very rude to my family and I. They also argued with my doctor who ordered the prescription for several hours. I am not able to receive any more of this specific medication outside of the state of Texas. I would highly recommend staying away from this store!

Just this year(2019), I have had two HORRIBLE experiences at this Wallgreens. Firstly, when I went to pick up my four prescriptions this February, they only had one of them ready at the designated time even after I called and said I would need them all that day. Then, once they were all filled, I went up to the counter and they said that my insurance didnt cover me. I called the insurance co., who called the pharmacy, and the pharmacy never answered the phone for them. Forty minutes later, magically, three of my prescriptions were filled and my insurance applied. They said come back in two days for the other prescription, which they ordered.Went back three days later for my MOST time sensitive prescription, waited 30 minutes AGAIN to be seen, and was told that I have no prescription because we gave you three months supply in January. No, they didnt, and when I explained this and the fact I was told to come back for this prescription just three days prior, the RUDE pharmacist said Well you must have misplaced the rest of your prescription; Im not filling it. I checked two days later online, and the prescription has FINALLY been filled; but they never notified me. Terrible customer service, and mistakes on the staffs part are blamed on the patient. Ultimately, the lady called me an idiot for trying to fill my prescription, but then it was filled the next day. I will not stay with this pharmacy if I can help it.

Pharmacies always get a lot of hate, it seems like. But this one is just fine. Its open 24 hours, which is a huge bonus. Minus one star because there have been several (SEVERAL) times Ive had to call and remind them about a prescription they forgot, or had to call them because I didnt get my notification that my prescription was ready. But, all things considered, its just fine.EDIT: Since I first reviewed Walgreens, I have had many, many bad experiences, including being told that my prescription was ready only to find out that it wasnt-- twice on the same prescription. Ive moved to a family-owned pharmacy in Denton, and Im much happier going there. Shoutout to Allen Pharmacy.

I waited almost 30 minutes to get to the front of the pharmacy line. I went to pick up a prescription that I had dropped off 48 hours prior and they still did not have my medicine ready. Then I had to sit another 30 minutes for my medicine that they could not even fill. Worst experience ever waiting inside. Im definitely switching pharmacies after this experience

I have sat on hold for over 10 minutes for three separate phone calls. I also had trouble with my insurance information and they told me there was no way I could do it over phone, even after repeating I would prefer to just tell them the RX Bin number (which is the problem Ive had to correct at another pharmacy). The staff was rude and cut me off on all three of my phone calls. I will never return. Sad that when I ask to speak of a supervisor or something, I sit on hold again for 5 plus minutes.

Pharmacy system has been down for over 2 1/2 days. They cannot process prescriptions and they offer no help. My doctor called in 4 prescriptions because I am leaving town. They are stuck in their system and they said they couldn’t do anything and have my doctor call them in again to another Walgreens. IT’S SATURDAY doctors do not work on Saturday. I had to escalate to the pharmacist and she said she would call another location. Bottom line I had to escalate this before they would do anything. Still not sure the prescriptions will be done. I will be transferring my business to another pharmacy. Sometimes businesses step up when there is a problem Walgreens is not one of those company’s.

My daughters pediatrician called in her antibiotics on Thursday morning . Went to pick up her prescription two hours later and they said they couldnt figure out the dosage information. My doctors office called and faxed back three times with the exact same information (one time with me standing right next to them) yet Walgreens still couldnt figure it out MORE THAN 24 hours later. All the while my poor three year old was fighting strep. Bunch of incompetent people at the pharmacy.

I have given my business to Walgreens (both the pharmacy and the store) for over six years now, and today you lost me as a customer forever. I have a bad stomach bug and my doctor called in 3 prescriptions for me at 4:30. At 4:50, I called your pharmacy to see if these were ready. I was immediately put on hold. After this, I was transferred through 4 different people, and each person put me on hold for 5-10 minutes. Finally I spoke with someone who told me my medicine would be ready soon and I should come ahead to the store. I showed up to a line of 8 people and stood in line for 15 minutes before I got to the counter. Keep in mind I am sick and in a lot of pain. When I finally reached the counter, I was told it would take another 15-20 minutes to get my medicine ready. I thought I waited on the phone for half an hour to avoid this exact thing. I then spoke with the manager, who put a rush on my medicines. 10 minutes later, I was asked to give my insurance card. Im a returning customer; my insurance hasnt changed! After I handed over my insurance, I waited another 10 minutes. Your head pharmacist said shed make a call, but I never heard her say a word on the phone to anybody. Finally, I decided that this was cruel and unusual punishment. I paid for my 3 medications in full, and the total was $81.37. An hour and a half and a lot of my money later, I finally got the medicine that I desperately needed to end this pain. This is not how a paying customer should be treated, and you will never have me as one again. I hope you realize that over my lifetime, you will lose thousands of dollars to CVS or whoever is not going to torture me when Im already sick.

Walgreens never staffed their pharmacy with enough people and, thus, there was always a line.Im now on Medicare (which I love), but Im having to move to Walgreens because they are a Preferred Pharmacy. I went two evenings in a row to try and print out some photos at their kiosk and both days the machine broke. They told me my pictures would be ready the next day when the technician came and fixed their machine. I went back the next day and they told me my pictures wouldnt be ready until the next day in the evening but that I could transfer the order to a different location if i went online. When I went and tried it, the online assistant told me that was not possible and that they should be able to do it at the store. So in other words, this store is full of lazy workers who give horrible service and are not helpful at all. Do not go here if you are ever trying to print out photos for a college project due within the next 2-3 days because they will not be ready on time.

I called the Cleburne store to get some information and the lady hung up on me. Not such great customer service. Maybe they are working their people too hard...Most of the time when I go into the store looking for something in their ad, they dont have it and give me a rain check which is never honored because they dont get the item in stock. My advice? Take their ad to Walmart where it will be matched and they will probably have the item(s) in stock. (They dont hang up on you, either)

I have been getting my prescription from Walgreens for the past year and a half and every time I run out of refills I go through the same problem of having to call my doctor and Walgreens back-and-forth over 10 times this last time and each time that my doctor says that they received a confirmation from Walgreens I called Walgreens and they say that they never received it this has been going on every single time I try to get a prescription refill definitely not worth the time The employees seem as though they are just high school graduates and there is only one pharmacist and all of them seem to have no idea how anything in their own system works I will be switching to CVS as this is not worth the trouble

Somehow these dumbasses have me in their pharmacy system so I get repeated calls about prescriptions being ready or time to refill them. I dont live anywhere near this pharmacy and have asked twice to take me out of the system. Still get calls. Added to my phones Call Blocker.

Pharmacists here are always rude and put out by any questions - its almost worth paying an extra $30 to CVS at Target to avoid these rude people.
